We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (BFP)

And everything in between!

We've had 8 BFPs since January (and counting!) and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Thanks JB I'm trying to basically ignore my mood and not take it seriously if that makes sense? Work is so busy but hope to do some yoga in my living room later, it's empty right now so will set up my mat with a big mirror and nice music.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 10/04/2017 12:53

Lol buzz tell your parents to act surprised!

MrsC that's exactly it, I've finally got this sorted, organised nice life, now I'm being held hostage by a little being growing inside me and I feel totally out of control!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 10/04/2017 12:52

Thanks all for listening to my moaning!

Buzz weirdly with my wedding there was minimal interference I think because DH and I didn't tell any family anything till it was all organised!
You can find out the sex at 10 weeks with a private blood test (harmony) that also checks for chromosome problems. But you need to have had a scan to check you are actually 10 weeks. The test is like £385 near me but another £85 if you need a scan. So I'm wondering if I can bear to wait for NHS scan first... makes sense not to tell people until you've had at least 1 scan I guess.

MrsC and buzz DH knows I told my 2 best friends and my yoga studio. He doesn't know I told my old yoga teacher (who is 20weeks pg herself), my massage therapist (this morning!), or my cousin (at the funeral, because her kids have chicken pox, but I know she won't breathe a word) 😬

Morning everyone. Not loving Monday!

Thinking of you today Tigger

I am full on into the TWW symptom spotting craziness today. 1 minute: I am definitely not pregnant. No symptoms. Next minute: is that a funny taste in my mouth? etc etc! I have a weird period-type feeling today but have no idea if it is even uterus or something else in there

mummy it never occurred to me to pull them apart - I am so doing that when I test now, haha. Fingers crossed for you. I am trying to hold out til Thurs

JB1983 · 10/04/2017 12:05

Tigger will be thinking about you today.

dancing what a positive outlook you have. Here's to a new week.

grumpy sorry your feeling crappy. If telling people is going to make you feel more anxious then don't put the extra pressure on yourself to announce your news. Hopefully with a bit of rest and some cold yoga might make you feel more like yourself.

Glad your scan went well Mrs!

mummy I have rubbish line eyes so I can't help you with your test, sorry!

seven sorry AB got you! My cycles are a bit all over the place too so I think DH and I will have to be EODers too! Currently on CD9 but might not ovulate to about CD20 . . . sigh!

MrsC2017 · 10/04/2017 11:31

Haha buzz I'm so glad that I'm not the only one going behind OH's back!! I trust my friends with my life his family not so much and they told everyone the first time around so they have form for this kind of thing!

buzzmoon · 10/04/2017 11:22

Did you get a picture mrs.

I'm the same 🙈 I've told 4 people in total but DP doesn't think we've told anyone! We're going to tell his family after the scan at lunch on Friday, then we're having dinner with my parents on Friday evening (who already know) so I'm going to have to like fake tell them in front of DP or something! I don't know what to do! Or say I've text them or something shit haha 😂

MrsC2017 · 10/04/2017 11:09

Oh buzz I hated that about my wedding too, I was like "can we talk about anything else please"!!!!

MrsC2017 · 10/04/2017 11:07

Morning girls,
Big love to you today tigger! And dancing I hope this week brings healing and positivity to you xx
otters OPK surge can happen quite fast do if you see the line getting darker do another a few hours later, I had to do a few a day to catch it and first cycle I would say the surge happened overnight so I missed it!
seven that's frustrating, I guess eod is a sensible approach to make sure you don't miss it! I wonder is there anything you can get that he's regulate cycles, I've heard of agnus castus but not sure if that's only for those who want to make cycles longer, or if it regulates them no matter the case, it's a natural thing, I don't know a lot about it but could be worth looking at? Also your list sounds like great rules to live by, just don't deprive yourself, like if you need a glass of wine, have one! 🍷
grumpy sorry you're feeling so crappy, I've been feeling a but like that, I think as well because we have large gaps between kids I think it's a bit like we sorted everything, things were under control and life was settled and now boom and it is hard to get your head around! I keep humming and hawing over telling people too, I've told some of my beat friends but DH doesn't know that I have because he wants his family to know first but they are such blabber mouths that they would have to be told after 12weeks or the whole town would know!
red glad you had a nice weekend, is it next cycle you are starting to try? Have they shortened up anymore?
mummy I think maybe I see something, hold tight and try again in the morning, I got a BFP at 10dpo so it's possible!
jupiter glad you slept well, I did too and I feel much better altho I'm on holidays so that helps too!
Thanks for all the well wishes on the scan, it just looked like a blob tbh, it must have been sleeping because it stayed in the same position but reassuring to know all is well all the same and im sure 12 weeks will bring more definition! confused my next scan is may 2nd,is yours coming up soon?

buzzmoon · 10/04/2017 10:59

Can you find out the sex at 12weeks??

buzzmoon · 10/04/2017 10:59

grumpy we're only telling this weekend because DPs mum is down from up north and not sure when we'll be all together, but only cause we've got the scan booked. I think I'd wait till my 12 week one on 9th May otherwise. I totally get what you mean about the questions, it's the same with my wedding. I'm so excited obvs but I'm so sick of having to talk about it 😂 it's like I'm no longer a human with work and hobbies and normal life and everything MIL or any family wants to talk about is the wedding. I feel like it's going to be exactly the same with baby talk, which I'm sure is not a bad thing but people are always like 'you should do this' and I'm kinda like 🖕🏽

Sorry feeling a misery arse today 😂

TheGrumpySquirrel · 10/04/2017 10:35

Thanks buzz we are going to see all MIL's family in France over easter including extended family so it's either tell them all or no one really. FIL SIL and BIL will be there too. I'll be 6wks on Easter Sunday. Then my mum is coming over on easter Monday so I could tell her then. Just not sure if I want them to know yet. All the comments and questions might make me feel worse as I haven't got my head around it myself yet. Can't wait for 12wks when I'll know the sex and I can have a beer and hopefully won't be so tired anymore!!

Buzz Your scan is this Friday ? That's the early one you booked on groupon right? Best of luck.. I may yet get one, possibly at 10wks along with harmony, but waiting to see what they say about scan dates at my booking in appointment on the 22nd.

buzzmoon · 10/04/2017 10:25

Oh grumpy sorry you're feeling shit 😔 it does all get too much sometimes, and don't feel guilty for feeling like crap either. It might help to tell them- have you got a lot of family to tell? Otherwise have you got another opportunity when you'll be all together?

How was that other yoga you were going to try? Have you been doing it at home on your own?

jupiter scan on Friday morning, cannot wait, just wishing away this week completely!

seven that list is a great idea! Good luck!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 10/04/2017 10:00

Thanks seven I'm 5+1 today. No appetite either. Trying to see if my sister can come to LA with me because I'm already an anxious mess and it's two weeks away.

That sounds like a great plan seven very well organised! But I would make the most of booze while you are still allowed it lol!

Seven0fNine · 10/04/2017 09:56

Ohhhh Mummy that looks promising...

Sorry you feel shit Grumpy ...Keep looking forward, it will all get better. How far along are you now?

EOD sounds exhausting but can certainly try and up my game. DH is commuting now so is quite tired but he is ALWAYS horny so should be OK. Please remember Hb!!! xx I need all the help I can get.
So here is my plan (hoping I can mostly stick to it for at least one cycle to see if it makes a difference)...

  1. No alcohol - even on Fridays (it makes me thin when I don't drink and sleep better but I keep ruining it every weekend...)
  2. 8 hours sleep per night
  3. Exercise 3 times a week
  4. Practice Yoga, mindfulness & meditate to stop me getting stressed when back at work
  5. Sticking to the keto diet - eating healthy fats and sticking to low carbs (no sugar or processed food...lots of salmon and veg)
  6. 2 cups of tea/coffee a day then decaf!!
  7. Stop leaving things until the last minute then rushing/stressing. Doing 3/4 hours work each day Mon-Thurs this week to plan for the term ahead!
TheGrumpySquirrel · 10/04/2017 09:27

Mummy I think there is something there! I've pulled tons of negative FRER apart in my time and never seen anything like that xx

Tigger best of luck today day, big hugs xx

I'm feeling so utterly depressed and I know it's just hormones but can't shake it 😢 slept terribly last night as well. I'm not sure if I want to tell family at easter / next week or not. I think it might make it feel less lonely but then again I don't want them all fussing. I feel like my life has been taken over already and baby isn't even here yet. It all just feels so surreal. Sorry for complaining I know I'm lucky but the terrible skin, exhaustion, and being banned from hot yoga (which is my passion) are making me feel not like myself at all. I'm normally so driven and I just want to crawl into bed and cry all day.

Redpony1 · 10/04/2017 09:19

Oh Tigger this is the last news i wanted to log in & see Sad I'm so sorry Flowers You & Dancing are doing amazing Flowers

Welcome along Basin Smile

I've had a lovely weekend, mostly spent with the horses Grin

DancingUnicorn · 10/04/2017 09:17

Got my fx for you mummy! Looks so promising!!

buzzmoon · 10/04/2017 08:52

Mummy I can totally see a line in the second pic!! 🤞🏽🤞🏽🤞🏽 can't wait to see the test again in a few days!! :)

Mummyme87 · 10/04/2017 08:46

I'm not holding my breath I just had to tell someone what I had found. Will try and retest in a couple of days. Could easily be an Evap knowing my previous experience

BasinHaircut · 10/04/2017 08:39

I think I can see a line in the pulled apart pic, but I'm not sure.

Tigger83 · 10/04/2017 08:36

Mummy I can see a line! Congratulations!

Thanks for all your lovely wishes today I'll let you know how I get on

Mummyme87 · 10/04/2017 08:34

So I'm mad but I did a FRER this morning because my boobs were sore again today. I'm only 9dpo 😫
Wish I hadn't. I immediately saw an indent through the case so decided to take the casing apart (you would have thought I would have learnt by now) and next to the indent I could see another line that I think possibly maybe has colour. I'm not taking anything from this so it was a complete waste of time.. I've added the pictures for shits and giggles 😑

Hope today goes as well as it can Tigger & you are well looked afterFlowers

Lovely thoughts about a new start Dancing

Rubbish that AB got you Seven I totally second that you should EOD it? (Unless your DP is working away still) it does leave less room for error, especially with long/unpredictable cycles. I'm sure i read some thing about people shortening their follicular phase, i shall try and remember & pass on if useful x
