We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (BFP)

And everything in between!

We've had 8 BFPs since January (and counting!) and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Thanks Jupiter I'm ok just a little anxious about feeling nauseous in this pregnancy as I don't think I can handle it at all! Although it's good to know you've escaped bad nausea so far - I'm almost exactly two weeks behind you (5+2) and no it hasn't really sunk in! I thought I'd be more excited but am mostly just scared so far (feeling out of control of my physical body). I'll feel better once the first trimester is out of the way I hope. My boobs have doubled in size overnight!!! It's even funnier because I had implants after DD so now my natural boobs are getting bigger on top it's a lot more than I bargained for!! I kind of wish I didn't have the implants but they do even out my body shape quite well.

HeyJupiter · 11/04/2017 16:56

Grumpy ohh maybe it is another girl for you :) I ovulated from my left and felt implantation 'throbbing' the on the left too so you never know. I'm okay thank you, 7+3 today.. symptoms come and go. Feeling grotty in mornings and when I haven't eaten for a bit but I've escaped really bad nausea (so far). How about you? Has it all sunk in yet? What a horrible scare for you last night x

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/04/2017 16:44

Jupiter I don't know, from what I could see in the scan of the placental bruising mine has implanted on my left side (right of pic) but not sure which way round it all is vs the image! They didn't show me the ovary on screen. I'd love another girl mustn't get hopes up
How are you? How many weeks are you now?

HeyJupiter · 11/04/2017 16:37

Tigger you’ve done it. I am so relieved for you and so happy you’re being looked after. Hope the recovery is swift and you can start healing. The worst is over. You are amazing and brave Flowers

parnsips sorry you’re struggling at work. I feel exactly the same. If I wasn’t pregnant (or planning) would definitely think about moving on. So difficult to sustain motivation sometimes. Are there any interesting projects etc that you could get involved with? Just to try and get that spark back?

confused sorry got confused myself :) Glad the ECG went okay lovely, I think I must have missed your update about heart palpitations. Glad all is well. Not long until the scan!! Eeeek.

grumpy it’s amazing that they can tell what side you ovulated. I read somewhere that if the embryo implants on the left side of your uterus it’s more likely to be a girl? Is that actually true? Hope you’re feeling better and managing to get some rest after your horrible night.

Penguin sorry you’re feeling so rotten! Flowers for you. Harry Potter always cheers me up.. mainly because I love Alan Rickman Grin Can’t believe he’s dead Sad

otters ohh that’s so exciting. Fingers crossed for some juicy follicles. I’m an advocate of EOD because it worked for us. Cramming it in every day was actually really hard work and not enjoyable and I think put too much pressure on my DH to ‘perform’. Every couple is different though I guess.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 11/04/2017 15:12

Oh otters it will happen for you soon. Don't worry.

Glad it is over Tigger - you are being amazingly strong. Make sure you don't rush your recovery and take the time you need x

Grumpy I haven't been able to watch/do anything, I've just been ever asleep or half-delirious! But I'm feeling a bit better now so might watch a bit of Harry Potter, that always cheers me up!

Glad DH is looking after you tigger x

How did the ecg go confused?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/04/2017 14:46

Seven when I got my first real AF post pill I was so happy! Even though it bloody hurt! So can totally relate. Well done on the meal planning. I need to sort myself out on that front too. Only I'm too scared to eat anything but dry biscuits for the moment!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/04/2017 14:43

Tigger x-post.. glad it is over and your OH is looking after you. Hope the recovery is not too painful. Big hugs Brew

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/04/2017 14:42

Otters fingers crossed for those eggs! On my successful cycle we DTD on o day, o-1 and o-3, for what it's worth! And pretty much EOD before that.

Penguin sorry to hear you are still ill. I'm definitely a bad patient as I feel like laying in bed is such a waste of time but I know it's best to listen to your body. Have you got any nice films to watch? Or have you been scraping the Netflix barrel already? I'm trying to work from bed but so tired I've given up.

Wiggley I don't blame you - enjoy the wedding stress free and with energy - early pregnancy is draining (much more so than when I was 18 and didn't notice it!)

Tigger83 · 11/04/2017 14:39

All done and home tucked up on the sofa with oh looking after. It went ok. Glad it's done.

penguinsandotters · 11/04/2017 14:20

grumpy glad all went well this morning and that you've got another scan coming up.

confused hope the ECG is normal

parsnips safari sounds amazing. Well worth waiting for. I'll still be on this thread. Hoping and wishing and praying for a BFP this cycle but it may be a while yet if ever. Must keep my spirits up!

penguin sorry you're feeling poorly. Hope you feel better soon!

I've got a day 9 follicle tracking scan tomorrow so really hope I have at least 1 (or 2 or 3!) growing follicles then we can get busy over the next week or so. Any advice on dtd ED or EOD?

DancingUnicorn · 11/04/2017 13:27

Penguin sorry you're so ill. :(

DancingUnicorn · 11/04/2017 13:27

Mummy you could have seen me too! Mine opened at 8.30. Weird...

Sorry you're still not feeling well grumpy :(

Wiggley I can completely understand why you'd want to wait until after the wedding. Plus, you might get a honeymoon baby! :)

Penguin27 · 11/04/2017 13:17

Hi all, I'm just catching up. Feel so unwell, been tucked up in bed solidly since lunch time on Sunday Sad

Grumpy that must have been very worrying for you! I'm glad it went well at epu this morning and that they've booked another scan in a couple of weeks for reassurance.

Mummy that FRER definitely had a touch of pink! Can't wait for you to test again 🤞

Hope this morning went well and that you're being looked after tigger Flowers

TheGrumpySquirrel · 11/04/2017 12:58

Ahh confused sorry - I'm glad it all looked ok. Not long till your scan now though!

Thanks for all the well wishes I'm in bed and have had a sleep but tummy still feels dodgy, really annoying.

Wiggleyfingers · 11/04/2017 12:14

Parsnips our wedding is in August so I'll be here with you! I'm sure we'll get some more along the way that haven't graduated to the humped section!

Not long now Confused! I bet you're so excited Smile

Mummyme87 · 11/04/2017 11:46

grumpy could be us, we open at 8.30 but people queue from 8. Glad scan went well.

JB1983 · 11/04/2017 11:32

Oh I'd love safari paranips! That sounds amazing and definitely worth holding off a few more months for! Bit rubbish on the job front but might be a necessary evil if you want full maternity coverage.

confusedat23 · 11/04/2017 11:29

JB it's not causing too many issues so far its just odd because its an older persons illness so i cant find a lot of info about how it will effect it... but they did say it may be causing them

confusedat23 · 11/04/2017 11:27

No no scan here not until 20th when i'll be 13 weeks... i have been having problems with Palpitations over the last few days so i'm having and ECG just to check everything is ok and nothing abnormal.. which it looks like it is so just one of those things!

They can tell Grumpy because your ovary grows as it makes the chemicals to support the baby growing =)

Wiggley i also understand your worries and really wants a few months!... plus it brings more excitement after the wedding and honeymoon!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 11/04/2017 11:25

Meant to add - good luck confused. And again tigger ill be thinking of you.

We're on safari in Kenya in July and docs said we should skip that month due to malaria risk but can crack on in August. That would give us a nice summer baby too and longer to plan which would be better for us really.

I am now fatter than I was in December when I started the thread 😱 but hey ho.

I really hate my job atm too. Loads of people are leaving but I don't feel like I can move jobs then get pregnant so feel like I should stick it out. It's not the worst place in the world, I'm just losing motivation for it a little.

Anyways - hope you're all well!

Great news grumpy. That's amazing that they can tell which ovary released the egg! Nice to get another scan booked in too.

wiggley I think your choice is sensible. Love every minute of your wedding and honeymoon. It's. It too long to wait and the time will fly by with all the wedding prep coming up in the next few months.

Haha parsnips I'm sure your not two tonne tess, but planning makes all the difference to me when I'm trying to be healthy. What was your reason for holding off to august, sorry I have a crap memory!?

Good luck with the ECG confused. I once got one for palpitations, everything was fine and apparently they are quite normal when you are young. I hope your complicated anaemia isn't causing too many problems during your pregnancy.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 11/04/2017 11:01

Excellent news Grumpy! Really pleased all worked out ok.

Wiggley when is the honeymoon? Don't worry I'm still hanging around til August. At this rate I'll be the only one left!! 🙈🙈

I need to make a proper healthy eating plan and stick to it. We've had a stream of visitors lately and so it's been constant dining out (which has been amazing) but I'm like two tonne tessy and need to cut way back.

Oh when are you testing again mummy? Feeling very hopeful for you!

Wiggley I totally understand your anxieties. Early pregnancy is much more challenging than I would have expected and you want to be able to relax and enjoy your wedding. Keep popping back though :)
