We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (BFP)

And everything in between!

We've had 8 BFPs since January (and counting!) and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Thanks, good luck to you too otters, don't lose hope.

otters2017 · 18/04/2017 10:59

Thanks for all the support. Was just feeling so down yesterday and thinking that it was never going to happen. Got a flashing smiley today so feeling hopeful again Smile the emotional rollercoaster of TTC is just unbelievable

grumpy you're getting to be a pro at flying now. Glad the announcements went well. I have thought about French women drinking wine and eating cheese throughout their pregnancy. Clearly not much of an issue there!

tigger sorry you're feeling crap but glad you and DH are supporting each other. Hope the bleeding will stop quickly. Maybe just a little sensitive after what's happened?

dancing how are you doing ? Are you still bleeding?

confused it's great that this brings you closer to your family. Very exciting that you can feel baby moving.

jb I know exactly how you feel. I'm only 2 days behind you in the cycle. Hopefully it's a late ovulation rather than non ovulation. Good luck and Fx for you!

JB1983 · 18/04/2017 08:21

I'm glad you feel ready to try again para, it's. It often we are cheering on an AF to arrive but I hope you get yours so you can get on with a new cycle.

Sorry tigger that your feeling rubbish although I am glad you got some close time with DH. Hopefully you feel a. It better today.

confused that's lovely that your news is binging your family together. That's exciting if you feel baby moving. grumpy bless your mum.

Well I'm CD17 today and OPKs are still pretty weak lines, EWCM only kicked in to gear yesterday so looks like I'm not ovulating until the usual CD19/20 or at all. However back at home so lots of opportunities to catch that egg hopefully

DancingUnicorn · 18/04/2017 07:34

Para my surgeon said treat surgery as cd1 and to roughly expect af at the normal time after that. But that if it hadn't happened within 6 weeks to let them know. I have short cycles (26d) normally, so 6 weeks seems like an age!

Parastars · 18/04/2017 07:21

Confused the doctors didn't say anything at all about when normal cycle may resume. A leaflet I got in the hospital said 4-6 weeks, but from my googling it seems it could be whenever. I suppose FW could be later, I might keep using opks just to try and keep track a bit.

How far along are you now? Can you really feel the baby?! That's amazing, what does it feel like?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 17/04/2017 22:02

Well my mum cried too of course although she didn't understand the baby hat surprise fail she kept asking whose it was 🙈 so I had to say "I'm pregnant"! She was actually the most surprised person we've told so far! But it was nice too, and I'm glad she knows. She's promised to only tell her DH and keep it in the family until I go public in August.

Confused I'm glad your family's enthusiasm has brought you closer x

confusedat23 · 17/04/2017 21:26

Oh no Dancing i'm sorry this is being drawn out for you!... i'm sure there is something they give to Clomid takers which brings on a period even if your hormone levels are still sky high so maybe they can recommend something like that?

Hb your announcement sounded lovely and i'm glad Your nephew could help you out with it!

Para do you think you might have a late FW? Did the doctors say anything about cycles returning to normal?

Jupiter i cannot believe it either! I'm actually allowing myself to get pretty excited and others around me are trying really hard to support me since being open about worries and depression etc... also i'm pretty sure i can feel the baby move! I mentioned what i could feel to DM and DMil and they both said its baby and that they felt theirs early too so i'm hoping its a good sign!

Otters please don't feel like you are letting anyone else down!... also do you have pcos? I have heard OPKs are not reliable if you do

Grumpy honestly i felt like one! But my nan (who does not know) was there and she knows i'm the one that picks up the slack so it would have been very obvious... plus i'm not a quitter lol so it needed to be done and i was determined to get it all done... although i was very annoyed at DH and DF about the pub as it meant i didn't have a chance to shower before everyone came over which pissed me off lol... i'm glad you are finding flying easier and sorry DM outted you... they have a habit of that 😉 Lol

Tigger glad you felt up to dtd last night but sorry it's made you feel crappy... take care of yourself hun!

About Mum and Dad telling their friends... i simply couldn't be angry just seeing how excited they are... me and my parents have never had a great relationship and to be quite honest since about 13 they have taken very little interest in my life and when i tried to reach out it never went anywhere so thats the way its stayed (i know they regret this now as they tell me alot but i've moved on) so to havr something they want to be involved and tell all their friends is nice and also it saves me the job of telling everyone (i'm actually very shy and awkward outside of MN lol)

Penguin27 · 17/04/2017 19:46

Well done on drug free flying grumpy! Haha it seems that family aren't good at keeping pregnancy secrets when they're excited!! Hope it goes well with your mum this evening.

Sorry you're feeling rubbish tigger and that the bleeding and cramps have come back. Get a hot water bottle on it and have a nice cuddle with DH. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day Flowers

DancingUnicorn · 17/04/2017 19:32

Sorry you're feeling crap Tigger. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day for you. Are you at work tomorrow? Take it easy. ❤

TheGrumpySquirrel · 17/04/2017 19:19

Tigger I'm so sorry you are feeling rubbish. Glad you got to be intimate with your OH, hope it helped a bit. Hope your cramping eases up soon xx

Tigger83 · 17/04/2017 19:09

Well after feeling ok for the last few days I feel crap today. Oh and I dtd last night, we both needed that connection. Today I feel shocking, I bled a bit after dtd having not bled for 5 days not very much bleeding though and today I have cramps, particularly when I go to the loo for a number 2- sorry way tmi I know. Feeling a bit out of it this evening. Guess I'll see what tomorrow brings.

Everyone I'm so glad the announcements went well!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 17/04/2017 18:49

Also the French women were very blasé about the cheese ("oh I ate raw cheese the whole time") but warned me of the grave dangers to baby of dying my hair Hmm

TheGrumpySquirrel · 17/04/2017 18:47

Ahh Hb and Jupiter glad your announcements went well too, they sound like such lovely reactions ♥️

Confused you are superwoman doing all that pregnant and also not getting annoyed about your dad telling everyone!

Dancing sorry to hear you are still bleeding hope things sort themselves out soon for you xx

So after the extended French family arrived yesterday I kept quiet and just swapped glasses with DH every so often (it was a buffet style thing as there were lots of us). But then with the cheese course - as we were in France of course - cue lots of fussing from MIL finding all the wrappers to check which were pasteurised for me in a very loud and unsubtle way and DH uncle immediately cottoned on and so everyone found out! I'm ok about it even though 6wks is early to tell (in case something goes wrong) but I guess that MIL could always quietly have a word (and the good thing - even if all is ok - is that they don't know anyone back home and so it won't spread before I make it public).

Well I did my fourth flight drug free yay! It was actually totally fine. Feeling a lot better about LA as it'll be a much bigger plane and I'll be in business class. Trying to think of it like one of the last pre baby trips! Going to try and enjoy spending time with my sister in between working.

Now back in London on the train home where my mum is waiting with a roast dinner and we are gonna tell her! Think I'll tell my bro and sis next weekend but then that's it until I tell work in August.

HeyJupiter · 17/04/2017 15:34

So sorry to hear that Dancing and yes I agree that an EPU phonecall would be worth your while, just to get some reassurance at the very least. Hang on in there lovely.

Otters you're definitely not out yet. Keep testing, could easily be round the corner. Have everything crossed for you this month. Come on eggy!

Penguin27 · 17/04/2017 13:56

Oh dancing I'm sorry that your body is taking a while to recover... Give the EPU a call tomorrow if you're worried about the bleeding, hopefully they'll be able to reassure you. Take care of yourself lovely Flowers

I'm glad you feel ready to try again para, bring on this next cycle!

I can't believe your parents spilled the beans confused! You've taken that very well, I would have been so mad! How are you feeling in yourself?

Jupiter a day at the coast sounds lovely 👌

Try not to worry about the OPKs otters, ov may be on it's way but just a little delayed for whatever reason! Keep dtd and your fx, this could be your month!

Parastars · 17/04/2017 12:49

Dancing it's 4 weeks almost since erpc. I was always a 5 week cycle kind of girl, so we will see what happens. I am hoping sooner rather than later. What have you decided to do about ttc? I'm feeling ready again now.

Thanks Otters and Hey. Otters try not to worry too much, it could just be a later one this month!
Hey your day by the coast sounds lush. Enjoy!

otters2017 · 17/04/2017 10:52

Glad all the announcements went well. Can't believe your dad spilled the beans confused I have a sneaky suspicion that my mum will be telling everyone and anyone if we ever managed it! My parents are so desperate for a grandchild I feel like I'm letting them down!

dancing how did the test go?

para hope you can start a fresh cycle soon and move on

penguin how was your pizza?

Still negative on opk even though it's cd14. Don't think I'm going to ovulate again this month SadSadSadwill keep dtd just in case! Was feeling so hopeful for this cycle. I know I'm not out yet but I have to start managing my disappointment otherwise it will be soul destroying!

DancingUnicorn · 17/04/2017 10:48

Still positive for me. Been a fortnight now, and still bleeding very slightly, so I think a call to the EPU is on the cards tomorrow.

The coast sounds lovely Jupiter! Enjoy the chips!

HeyJupiter · 17/04/2017 10:36

Fingers crossed Dancing!

Hb that is so lovely, I'm really happy for you! We're a close and excitable bunch in our family so can totally relate. What a lovely Easter Sunday for you all.

confused you are very calm despite the fact your news was out-ed. Really pleased it all ended up going well. Can't believe it's your scan this week, so excited for you. How are you feeling about it my lovely?

Para I hope AF appears soon so you can move onto a new cycle afresh. thinking of you x

Have a lovely bank holiday all - we're off to the coast to eat chips and enjoy some fresh air (normal healthy eating will resume tomorrow!)

HbH · 17/04/2017 09:53

FX dancing

DancingUnicorn · 17/04/2017 09:49

The announcements all sound so amazing! Definitely going to have to up my game next time!

Para how long has it been now? Hoping everything physically is back to normal for you asap.

About to go and try another ic! Fingers crossed for my bfn!! (Still surreal hoping for that outcome)

Parastars · 17/04/2017 09:30

JB Pretty much waiting for af and then trying again. We dtd once without protection but I don't think I have ovulated this month anyway. DhH away with work when my normal fertile week would be, although whiter than white on an opk! So trying very patiently to wait for a new cycle and then feeling very ready to get back on with it, so to speak!

Hey that sounds so lovely! Love that your mum burst out crying. Mine definitely will, she cries at everything! Smile

HbH · 17/04/2017 09:29

Aw Jupiter sounds like your day of announcements went perfectly! It's very cool that the closest people know & can be part of the team looking out for you!

Mine was lovely too, my nephew unwrapped his present and everyone was like aw, then he ripped the paper further and they saw the sign and started screaming! A few tears, including me & nearly DH! We're such a close excitable bunch that it was all anyone could talk about for the afternoon!

confused sounds like a busy day!! Can't believe your Dad spilled the beans!!

penguin Pizza is always welcome in my eyes! 🍕

Having a lovely lie in today while DH goes to the gym. Hope everyone else is making the most of their bank hols before it all starts again tomo!! Smile

DancingUnicorn · 16/04/2017 23:21

Confused I would be furious if my parents had told anyone!! You seem amazingly ok about it!

confusedat23 · 16/04/2017 22:24

Hey ladies Happy Easter!!

Its so lovely to hear about all the annoucements (sorry i'm about 4 pages behind atm!)

My parents had a BBQ yesterday but they are sl unorganised so basically i on my own organised and threw a whole BBQ whilst DH and DF snuck off to the pub (i was sooo angry lol) and then everyone turned up and no one was meant to know (although very obviously pregnant now!) and it turned out my parents gad spilled the beans to everyone!! How cheeky!!.. but it was a lovely evening/night and i spent today tidying it all up and then collapsing asleep on the sofa which obviously means it was a success lol

Sorry about your failed dinner Penguin but at least Pizza is always a hit! Lol
