Thread 6 already. We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (preggers)

And everything in between!

We've had 7 BFPs in three months and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

mrs that's so exciting! It will be so worth it! Glad your nausea has eased to! How have you got on with Jane the Virgin?

jupiter its abdominal, they'll check size and calculate delivery date. Will be interesting to then see if the NHS one is very different 3 weeks later! If you feel like you're worried and want one, just go for it, I'm sure your DH will understand!

I've just popped to get some little seed trays to start sewing! Going to tidy up and prep the soil for planting too! Hope sun keeps shining at least for a couple of hours :) got a bargain Italian dine in for a tenner from Waitrose too, 2mains (including a big pizza) and 3 sides 🤤 carb overload again 😂 but so excited about dinner!

HeyJupiter · 03/04/2017 15:44

Oh MrsC so brilliant you've got a scan booked too.. and this weekend! Wow you must be so excited.

HeyJupiter · 03/04/2017 15:44

buzz will your scan be abdominal or internal out of interest?

MrsC2017 · 03/04/2017 15:43

buzz what a brilliant deal, I just booked one today for Sunday cost me €100!! Anyway decided I needed to do it so it's booked now, I'll be 9+1.
seven I'm jealous of your cleaning blitz, I need to sort my house when I'm off! Can this week be over already!
tigger hope nausea buggers off again, mine is much better since Saturday I really hope it stays gone!
grumpy don't worry about your DH it probably doesn't feel real to him yet, sometimes men need to actually have the baby plonked in their arms before the penny drops my DH first time round. Hope the gp can help you with the flying ✈

Have to bring DS swimming now, he does way too many activities but he insists and won't give any up, he is skin and bone too because he's eating and activity levels don't balance!

HeyJupiter · 03/04/2017 15:42

Dancing so glad you’re being looked after Flowers now you can have some time to heal. Hope the surgery is all over and done with. Thinking of you both xx

Wilde don’t worry, I think it’s perfectly normal - I imagine some nausea will hit us out of nowhere in the next week or so. Ugh. We should appreciate it whilst we can I guess.

mummy good luck! So glad you’ve popped back in to keep us updated.

seven hope you’ve been enjoying the dettol dance haha. Oh wow, yes yes to you testing on Wednesday. Eeek, how exciting.. no symptoms is a good sign I’ve decided. When is AF technically due?

Red i tried the 5:2 but ended up overeating on the days off so didn’t lose anything apart from some water initially. It worked really well for my mum though. Good old low calorie is the only thing that really works for me.

buzz I totally understand why you’ve booked a scan. I would absolutely love to do the same but DH doesn’t want to (he’s the most patient man in the world so thinks we should just chill out and enjoy the next few weeks… yes, I’m the neurotic one in the relationship!) I’m so glad it’s already made you feel calmer. Not long at all to wait either.

grumpy your DH will come through, just needs a bit of time as you say. My DH Is still getting his head around it. I’m not sure he even really believes it (but then some days neither do I)

otters I hope so too. Your body may have re-tried to ovulate later on and you might get your BFP later this week. Fingers crossed lovely!

penguinsandotters · 03/04/2017 15:33

jupiter missed your message this morning. Thanks for thinking about me and my late AF. I was thinking the same as you after a bit of online reading. I'm hoping that I've ovulated later and therefore late BFP/AF. Fingers crossed.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/04/2017 15:20

Thanks!!

buzzmoon · 03/04/2017 15:19

Of course! www.groupon.co.uk/deals/ultrasound-scanning-services

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/04/2017 15:12

Ooh buzz can you share the link??

buzzmoon · 03/04/2017 15:02

It was a groupon 🙈 but a Clinic in north London and all the reviews look good! You also get 3 photos and my scan with the nhs, they cost £5 each 😱 I'll be 9 weeks! :)

JB1983 · 03/04/2017 14:03

£39 wow, I thought it would be really expensive. Definitely worth it buzz for a wee bit peace of mind. How many weeks will you be when you have your scan?

buzzmoon · 03/04/2017 13:47

grumpy sorry you're feeling a bit shit, totally normal for DH to be feeling like that I'm sure he'll snap out of it soon and be excited and supportive! Don't worry about the clothes sitch either, embrace it and think it's all worth it for a healthy bubba in 9 months time!
I've booked a private scan, it was only £39 and so worth it I think, the second I got off the phone after booking it I felt noticeably calmer just knowing I've only 2 weeeks to wait.

Thinking of you dancing hope it goes well ❤️❤️

Thinking about you this afternoon Dancing Flowers

I've posted on the 5:2 thread on here, as i was wondering how it would work on fasting days with the huge amount of exercise i do! Seems it's all doable. I think i would be able to maintain once at target weight by going down to 6:1 from what i have read... This is assuming it works at all! Penguin i've read that people eat too many calories on their non-fasting days which is why some people don't lose? Having fasting days doesn't mean people can eat high calories for 5 days and i think that's where it goes wrong? Don't know, going to read some more.

Penguin27 · 03/04/2017 12:48

My thoughts are with you and your DH this afternoon dancing, take care of yourself Flowers

Ahh seven that's exciting! When is AF due?

I've never done the 5:2 but I've heard good things, although a lady at work does it religiously and never seems to change physically - but she's not overweight so maybe for her it's more of a maintenance thing as she doesn't exercise.

Glad you're not feeling so bad Grumpy! Give DH time, he'll come around.

confusedat23 · 03/04/2017 12:41

Good luck with the operation Dancing... big big love and hugs!!.. ❤❤

Grumpy i am sure DH will come round in time... when it happens quick i think it is a shock for them... take care of yourself and your mum at the moment... i am so sorry for your loss Flowers

Seven I have a really really good feeling about this month for you!!!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 03/04/2017 12:32

Best of luck for today dancing - we are all thinking about you. Make sure you're looking after yourself as much as possible and you rest up. ❤️❤️❤️

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/04/2017 12:13

JB & Red i would like to try 5:2 but I literally have no self control when I'm hungry! Probably better for me to try and graze on healthy things now I'm pregnant.

Bit down about the inevitable weight gain - went to the shops yesterday to try on some loose work trousers and I'm already struggling to get into my normal size thanks to my thighs and bum deciding to massively expand overnight! Not bloated but tummy is noticeably less flat, only to me though.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 03/04/2017 12:09

Dancing thinking of you this afternoon Flowers

Buzz have you booked a private scan? Or you can just request an early scan on NHS?

Seven I am excited for you for Wednesday! 🤞🏼👶🏼

Hb I am seeing GP Wednesday so will ask about booking in as well as travel meds. I can't get Eurostar to holland as don't have time and I'm even more anxious about tunnels than planes

Thanks for all your kind words, I have managed to rearrange work and am able to fly to be with my mum on Thursday night and coming back Saturday. My boss has been really nice about it.

Getting waxed as I type this Blush.. not as hairy as usual after 5 weeks between waxes. I wonder if that means it is a girl???

I'm 4+1 today! Was just thinking I've no symptoms except sore boobs now feeling slightly dizzy again and I can smell everything Confused

DH is having a bit of an identity crisis adjusting to the idea of a baby.. I'm like really, now? Argh, men! I know he'll be ok in a few days I just really could do with some emotional support from him right now.. time to hitch up the big girl pants 💪🏼

MrsC2017 · 03/04/2017 11:44

Big love to you dancing xxx

penguinsandotters · 03/04/2017 11:44

dancing thinking of you today, hope it all goes well. sending you lots of hugs and Flowers

penguin good luck for this cycle. Sorry AF got you.

Hb have a great time in Italy. One of my fav destinations.

JB thanks and good luck with this cycle. Fx it works!

seven happy spring cleaning and yay for poas action for us Grin

Happy Monday all x

Seven0fNine · 03/04/2017 11:33

Thinking of you dancing and hope this afternoon goes as well as it can :( xxxx

DancingUnicorn · 03/04/2017 11:26

Thanks for all the thoughts today, i have surgery this afternoon. Impressed with the efficiency. I think I'll be relieved for this part to be over and can start focusing on recovering.

Hope Italy is lovely HB and your sis is helping with the secret keeping.

So sorry the nausea has hit again Tigger. :(

JB1983 · 03/04/2017 11:25

Well done seven on the cleaning front and on the poas action for us Grin!
I've done the 5:2 before but only for a couple of months. I found it fine but I lost weight slower than a normal calorie controlled diet. Definitely doable though!
I have managed a month so far without chocolate, cakes or biscuits, roll on Easter Sunday!

buzzmoon · 03/04/2017 10:46

Thinking of you today dancing

seven I'm off today spring cleaning! Such a good feeling! Yay for Wednesday! I have such a good feeling for you!!

hb glad you're having a good time and managing to keep it a secret!

Good luck this month penguin and jb!

jupiter 7+3 for me and still not much nausea, I sort of have butterflies in my stomach which is just more like hunger, I'm feel hungry all the time! Even after I've just eaten it's ridiculous! Hope that's normal and I'm not just a greedy bitch 😂 I've booked a scan at 9 weeks because I'm so impatient (mainly nervous) it's on Good Friday so hopeful all being well we can tell DPs family

HbH · 03/04/2017 10:46

Oh fab seven good to have a steady stream of testers! Enjoy your spring clean!!

My SIL also does 5:2 on and off, exactly the same, very effective when in the zone but got to stick at it! (Like any diet really i suppose!)

Wilde I'm 5+3 so not far ahead! Gonna tackle getting my booking appointment when I'm home end of the week Hmm

Very exciting for hoping to humpers to get humping!

Early pregnancy isnt all bad guys! I think its full of ups and downs!
