Thread 6 already. We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (preggers)

And everything in between!

We've had 7 BFPs in three months and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

I'm 9 weeks today Smile sickness kicked in around 5 weeks, haven't been sick just constantly nausea. Exhaustion the same, functioning just about lol. Both nausea and exhaustion a little better this week but by no means gone! My face has exploded with spots but clean and clean deep cleansing lotion is helping a bit.

Seeing midwife again on Friday for the rest of the booking in appointment, they do it in 2 bits here. Had first lot of screening bloods just the downs, Eduards etc to go.

The pain comes and goes and no pain when weeing but does feel around the kidney area? Wondering if it's constipation pains or ligament or kidney infection (doesn't feel like a water infection)

I'm starting to worry about the 12 week scan and what it might show. Just so desperate for a happy healthy baby.

Wedding plans motoring on date set for sept next year!

buzzmoon · 28/03/2017 16:26

wilde I'm 6+3 now and have no symptoms apart from being an emotional wreck and a bit tired! :)

Penguin27 · 28/03/2017 16:23

Congratulations to your DP buzz, that's exciting news!!

Hb that's definitely not right, I'd phone back and ask to speak to someone else! Don't let them fob you off, she sounds like she hasn't got a clue.

I forgot who asked about constipation, but I'd recommend Fybogel. It's available anywhere (Tesco is where I got mine) and is just the "husk" (??) of a fruit, so it just pushes everything along nicely. It doesn't get absorbed into your blood like Senna does, so there's no chance of your gut getting lazy and relying on it.

No sunshine for me, stuck indoors all day.

HeyJupiter · 28/03/2017 16:19

Wilde it's so lovely to see the strong lines. I basically don't have any symptoms either and I'm 5+3... sort of wanting to feel some nausea or something to confirm it's all happening (I imagine I will be taking that back in a week or so when I'm feeling vommy)

HeyJupiter · 28/03/2017 16:18

Hb that sounds very late! And 18 minutes? Or did you mean 180? I was told that my booking in appt could last up to 2 hours. They need to do your 12 week scan by 13+3 latest (or might be 13+6?) so your midwife will have to book you in immediately afterwards. Definitely do the self-referral… all sounds a bit strange to me but maybe thats how they do it in your primary care trust and you get the scan the day after or something.

Yay buzz congrats to your DP, wonderful news. Hope you’ve enjoyed your carvery. I think the glucose test is really normal. I might get another one later because my BMI is higher than it should be Blush but think it’s standard too.

Tigger we’re definitely going to do hypnobirthing. My sister found it really helpful in her first pregnancy. The pain could easily be ligament pain. Does it get better with rest?

NaturWilde · 28/03/2017 16:18

How many weeks are you Tigger83? When did your morning sickness kick in? I've very very strong lines but no symptoms...officially missed my period today! So it's 15dpo, 4 weeks and 1 day Grin

And...prune juice! Not a whole box of it though, she effects are too immediate!

I did hypnobirthung last time - alone, with a great CD set. Really helped as ended up 16 days over and a 10lb baby, induction... but wonderful birth!

buzzmoon · 28/03/2017 16:16

hb that's not right at all!! I'd ring back and complain! And make sure that you get booked in for your scan at 12 weeks not just first appointment!

tigger I'm really excited to start pregnancy yoga! I've looked and a class local to me do it but only from 14 weeks! I think I'm gonna need any help I can get for this labour malarky so some breathing and calmness will definitely help! :)

Tigger83 · 28/03/2017 16:03

Just ordered a pregnancy yoga DVD now my sickness is a smidge better need to get moving more!
Is anyone planning or done hypno birthing?

Also any top tips for constipation? I'm going but don't feel completely relieved (best way I can put it without way tmi!)

also symptom of the day.... pain above my right hip... something I should worry about thinking round ligament pain or uti?

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine!

HbH · 28/03/2017 15:56

Omg, just phoned to docs to see if i should make an appointment now or leave it a bit and they said you need to book in with the midwife at 12 WEEKS...

I said, you have a scan at 12 weeks so surely i need to be in the system before then? She newbie said, I've checked with the practice manager and you get an 18 minute appointment at 12 weeks!

Clearly going to do this self refer malarkey, it just doesn't sound right at all?!

NaturWilde · 28/03/2017 15:52

Hopefully you'll both wake up early, as I did in test day! Exciting!

Redpony1 · 28/03/2017 15:07

Great news Buzz!

Excited for our testers tomorrow!!

I am definitely at peace with not trying until May... Even put DP on a sex ban this month as i wouldn't be keen on a Dec due date as Christmas is hard enough as it is with 3 horses, without a newborn to add to it Blush

HbH · 28/03/2017 14:59

Ah so excited for you grumpy & penguin

penguin i was aggressively hungry in TWW, every time i was in a shop i had to buy a flump for a sugar hit😂

buzzmoon · 28/03/2017 14:40

Yay so excited for our pee-ers tomorrow! Woop! I love a testing morning!

Just come back from doctors! Midwife is lovely! Super nice :) had lots of blood taken and they've said that I might have to have a GTT something? Can't remember excactly what she said, something to do with Glucose but going to do lots of googling now! Haha

HeyJupiter · 28/03/2017 14:07

Yay guys, roll on tomorrow :)

Dancing your poor head! Flowers

TheGrumpySquirrel · 28/03/2017 13:41

Penguin27 · 28/03/2017 13:40

Ok I'll test tomorrow ... eeek!! Feel nervous/excited! Really must try not to get my hopes up Confused

Sorry your migraine is hanging around dancing Flowers

JB1983 · 28/03/2017 13:38

I agree Jupiter double testing for grumpy and penguin tomorrow is surely on the cards. Exciting!!

DancingUnicorn · 28/03/2017 13:06

Hb you can also google your local hospital/maternity ward and some let you self refer. I didn't ever see GP. Two week wait for an appointment, seemed silly when I can do the referral myself. Midwife was happy with that too! Also then no worry about Dr saying it's too early! There are still really long waits here, I didn't see midwife at all until gone 11 weeks because they couldn't fit me in!

Still have my migraine. Not the worst one ever, because I'm at work, and looking at my phone! But still really annoying!! :(

Parastars · 28/03/2017 12:32

Thanks seven that youtube vid sounds like something I'd be interesting in watching. Can you remember who it was/what to search for, please?

HeyJupiter · 28/03/2017 12:21

I think penguin and grumpy should both test tomorrow Grin If it was IB spotting yesterday penguin then a FRER should pick up something tomorrow I think? Good luck both of you, will be eagerly checking the thread tomorrow morning.

buzz hope blood test goes okay!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 28/03/2017 12:03

Penguin I'm testing tomorrow morning at cd25 & 10dpo (af not due till April 7th according to Ovia but I think that must be wrong because it would be an 18 day luteal phase...however last whole cycle was 33 days long!). Shall we test together? I'll be testing again on Friday/Saturday if it's a BFN

NaturWilde · 28/03/2017 11:46

Wow this thread moves quickly!

And Xlaura toxic family stuff is so hard! Have you read up on recovery from it, so empowering, lots of great books out there.

I'm in Ireland so it's combined between maternity hospital and your GP. So first GP appointment around 6 weeks then first hospital around 12 weeks.

xlaura · 28/03/2017 11:33

Red it's pretty shocking. My mum did say about that but I shouldn't really have to do it and I honestly think that'll make it 10x worse. I've never despised a human being so much as I do him haha.

AF due on Saturday for me..got hair and makeup trial too so be interesting to see if it shows up.
