Thread 6 already. We are a bunch of ladies who are either

  • humping (TTC)
  • by humping yet (waiting to TTC)
  • humped (preggers)

And everything in between!

We've had 7 BFPs in three months and we love a bit of lucky lube and a squinter on 9DPO - come and join the madness!

Oh no penguin :( don't worry though, my doctor said it's totally normal for it to take 6 months after the pill to get back to normal. Everything will be fine ❤️ stupid question but how do they know if you ovulated or not from a blood test?

My DP sent me a picture of a baby grow he'd ordered! He's such a cutie, he's ordered it a few days ago and picked it up today. It says something like 'I can't even walk and I love Sunderland FC' he's a massive football fan! We've decided to tell his family whilst they are all down for Easter and we're all together. I was going to wait till the scan but hearing that you all are doing the same has made me want to! Think I'm going to put the baby grow in a box for them to open :) eek excited now! But just hope everything is okay!

Redpony1 · 30/03/2017 11:41

Oh no Penguin Sad But at least you know, i think that happened to me last cycle too, i didn't pick up a rise in LH at all on twice a day OPKing, never mind a peak. or do you still get a LH peak even if you don't ovulate?

Hope all the resident upduffed's feel brighter soon!

I never realised how draining pregnancy was until i joined MN.
Everyone i know that's been pregnant apart from my SIL has been horse owners/riders and it's not seemed to affect them much at all, still mucking out & riding etc. Definitely don't remember any of them mentioning tiredness unless i just didn't listen Blush What's the betting when i get upduffed it will wipe me out!

Penguin27 · 30/03/2017 11:34

They said it's quite common after coming off the pill and to keep an eye on my cycle, if it's not regular in 6 months to go back to them.... feel a bit sad to be honest, although I know that's stupid because it might be fine next month and doesn't mean anything about my overall fertility and chances for the future.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/03/2017 11:29

Oh no! Cross post penguin! Do they know why? X

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/03/2017 11:28

Thanks all I am feeling a bit better after a bagel and a cup of tea. I made it on the tube all the way to work yay! Just very tired now.

Penguin i wouldn't be able to wait either! I'm going to do my second FRER tomorrow- hopefully the line will be darker and then I'm not doing any more tests! Although the CBFM will probably ask me to test when AF is due.

Hb I think that's totally normal, I'm fully expecting to be worried about loads of things both rationally and irrationally!

Penguin27 · 30/03/2017 11:20

So I just got the results of the (unrelated) blood test I had last week... the Dr said I didn't ovulate last cycle, so no more testing for me! Sad

I also have a Vitamin D deficiency... a holiday must be the best medicine for this? Wink

Penguin27 · 30/03/2017 10:56

Thanks buzz, I'll definitely be getting some of those if I get another bfn!!

buzzmoon · 30/03/2017 09:03

I cannot confirm nor deny hb...

HbH · 30/03/2017 09:00

SO cheap buzz you're not stull Peeing On Sticks are you?!

buzzmoon · 30/03/2017 08:54

I can highly recommend investing in these bad boys! https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00379DV16/ref=mpssa111?ie=UTF8&qid=1490860222&sr=8-1-spons&pi=ACSX2366SY340QL65&keywords=pregnancy+test&psc=1

They're 10miu and so cheap!

I'd wait till Saturday if you can penguin

Penguin27 · 30/03/2017 08:24

I know I should wait until Saturday, but I might give in and poas tomorrow anyway haha!

Hb that all sounds very normal. Glad your DH was able to talk you down Cake

DancingUnicorn · 30/03/2017 08:16

Hb totally normal.

Tigger the dancing sounds so fun!! I definitely find I get breathless/dizzy if I try to do anything too vigorous like walking at a regular speed. I'm planning to sign up for a course of pregnancy yoga classes, but waiting until after tomorrow. Hoping it will help, I've never done any yoga before.

Jb congratulations on the weight loss!! That's amazing!! :)

JB1983 · 30/03/2017 08:08

Wow seven your list keeping is impressive. Better fill in my stats since I was awol since thread 1.
TTC #1
Age 33
Cycle 3 to begin in April (have had a wee break from the baby making bandwagon)
Cycle length from 28-40 days (making perfect humping days difficult to predict)
Oh and since thread one I have lost 12lbs (half a stone to go but back in the healthy weight range for my height - yippee!)

Congratulations jupiter on the birth of your niece. Did baby cuddles make your pregnancy seem more real? I've been getting lots of practice in with my baby nephew. I agree with seven being an auntie is the best.

grumpy thats rubbish that you are feeling crappy already, no wonder you are worrying about the travel. Take care.

penguin if unlike me you are patient enough then it's only a one extra day to wait to test if you wait for AF to be late. I on the other hand start getting impatient from about 9dpo haha!

Tigger83 · 30/03/2017 08:02

Morning all! Started back at ballroom/Latin dancing last night. It's been about a year since I've done it and my oh came along who has never done it before - he did amazingly but not sure he liked it Confusedit's made me realise though i do get more tired!!
Got my pregnancy yoga DVD coming today hopefully which is exciting. Hoping to be able to do it a few mornings a week. Got loads of gardening to be getting on with.

Hope everyone has a beautiful sunny day!

HbH · 30/03/2017 08:00

penguin I'm in the ride it out til late camp ! Its not the most popular but even when i did those dodgy superdrug tests sunday I was still quietly confident cos AB wasn't there... although knicker watch was very much on and still is

Jupiter... we're gonna do easter announcements too, 7 weeks, wanted to wait til 8 but there might not be an opportunity where everyone is together the next week!

Hope u feel better as the day goes on grumpy love that the badge is in use already!

Had my first emotional wobble last night & DH had to give me a lovely pop talk! (For reference I'm the calmest, most chilled out positive person normally!)
-Was scared the gloss fumes would have harmed the baby (wore a mask and was well ventilated)
-Scared that it won't survive flying at the weekend
-Scared that it happen so quickly/easily that it's too good to be true!

I got talked down... but not used to this!!!

I assume this is normal!!!!

Penguin27 · 30/03/2017 07:40

Congratulations Auntie Jupiter! Grin you must be so excited to share your news at Easter!

Sorry you're feeling so rubbish grumpy Sad I hope the feeling eases as the day goes on.

I haven't decided whether to test again tomorrow, when AF is due, or wait until Saturday when it would be late? FRERs are quite expensive (as
I'm sure you're all well aware!) so I don't want to "waste" one by doing a test in the morning and then coming on in the afternoon, iykwim

DancingUnicorn · 30/03/2017 07:33

Cross post! Grumpy hope you feel better!! Hopefully it's just a lot of processing going on and the late night. I was always lots worse if I went to bed later than half 9!

Seven0fNine · 30/03/2017 07:32

Ha confused I was reading that last night and read your angry comments!! As if you'd do that tho. You'd just sort it. How embarrassing for the poor mum.

Sorry your feeling anxious Grumpy there must be something the doctor can do for you xxx

mrs sounds lovely. I secretly liked having the house to myself last week.

DH went off to work very tired today. He's working so hard and driving a long way for not much reward so let's hope it lasts. Seems to be going well so far. Anyway 2 more days, can do this!! Sooo much to do, sooo tired!!

DancingUnicorn · 30/03/2017 07:31

Oh grumpy impetigo is awful. Really hope for you it's not that and goes away quickly!! I hope the gp is able to give you something for flying just in case!!

Jupiter congratulations!! And to all the Jupiter family! They will all be so thrilled when you tell them about your little bundle too! I'd really love to be an auntie. Definitely not even remotely on the cards yet! :( may have to wait a long time for ohs brother

Confused I'm sorry the anxiety is bad for you. When do you get to go to the support group? The ante-natal thread is weird because there are just too many people! I don't actually care about many of them (because I know nothing about them, not because I'm a cow, I hope!!)

Thanks everyone for the kind thoughts. Went to bed at 8, watch a bit of tv in bed before going to sleep ridiculously early. Counting down the hours to get myself through today.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/03/2017 07:31

Jupiter that would be amazing thank you xx

TheGrumpySquirrel · 30/03/2017 07:28

Felt so rough this morning that I'm wearing my baby on board badge on the tube, someone kindly gave their seat straight away, phew! I'm exhausted and woke up feeling very sick and panicky. Hope it's not like this every morning 😷

HeyJupiter · 30/03/2017 07:27

Thank you everyone, you’re all bloody lovely.

buzz nope, no one knows about babyJupiter about from me and DH. We’re going to tell the family at Easter when we’re all together (and I’ll be 8 weeks!) Literally can’t wait!

MrsC enjoy a lovely weekend to yourself. I second buzz’s takeway and movie plan :)

confused that’s so lovely! They can be little buddies growing up - but also 3 weeks is enough time for you to be the focus for a bit as you rightly deserve. How is your cramping by the way? I know they said the fluid around your ovary might cause pain for the first trimester? Keep meaning to ask you. Going to go and check out that rental car thread…

grumpy do you want me to look up the prescribing guidelines for diazepam use in pregnancy? Just so you’re forearmed before seeing you GP. Orange’s and Wiggley’s suggestion about guided meditation sounds good, that would be an excellent option if the drugs are a no-go.

orange get humping! It’s totally your month, I can feel it Grin

Dancing how are you feeling today? Flowers

Penguin are you going to test again tomorrow? x

Wiggleyfingers · 30/03/2017 06:30

I second guided meditation! I've downloaded an app called Headspace and it's great. You get 10 free sessions and then you have to pay but there are so many different sections. I clocked a pregnancy section which I think would be really helpful for anxiety.
Hope everyone has a good day!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 29/03/2017 23:11

Thanks orange I do have thought pattern control methods that I use but a guided meditation might be a good idea thanks

orangefolly · 29/03/2017 23:07

Oh no grumpy that's rough about the flying. My DH suffers with flying anxiety and he has some guided meditation sessions on an app which help him a bit. Might help if you aren't allowed any drugs? I'm sure there is nothing to worry about with a few sips tonight Flowers
