i posted yesterday under this name that i think i may be pregnant, i did a test and it was negative

i went back ages later and there was aline, i know it was an evaparation line (but i didnt know this when i had DS1 and retested with a diff test and got a +)

so today im feeling dogrough and sick, so i took another test and i think theres a line

its so faint - you couldnt see it at first at about 2 mins,

then i took it to my bedroom in the natural light thought i could see something, and now ive come down stairs and theres DEF something there,

and i obly did the test about 5 mins ago so i dont hink it could be an evap so quickly????

ive put it against a white piece of paper and i can see it now

it doesnt really look coloured though iykwim

MY GOD ITS DEF THERE

i feel so ill

please tell me its not right? it could be an evap right??

this is the worst time ever

please i feel so ill

if you've taken your next pack of pills without having a break this can cause you to have simptoms you wouldn't ordinarily have. bloating, nausia, sore boobs etc. it's because of the increased hormones that you have not had a break from. I know that whenever I took two packs back to back I always felt a bit crappy halfway through.

as you've done first response and it's neg I would leave it now and test if your period doesn't show in 2.5 weeks.

nappyaddict · 06/03/2007 17:52

in the instructions it should say a maximum time to leave it. if there is a line there within this maximum time limit then you are pregnant.

mum03 · 06/03/2007 17:42

Well it looks like it may have been a false alarm, perhaps the feeling sick was just nerves??? I hope so for you. It would partly depend on how long ago the missed pills were too I think. But it is at least not a definite positive. How are you feeling about it now, has the bfn put your mind at rest any?

Rhubarb · 06/03/2007 17:38

You are panicking and firing in all directions atm and all we can do on a thread like this is offer support, we cannot make your decision for you.

When I found out I was pg for the first time it was a HUGE shock and I too considered the unthinkable. I needed time and space to calm down. I think if I have known about MN it might have made things worse as I'd have been overloaded with opinions and experiences.

Babies never arrive at precisely the right time and even those trying for a baby find it a huge shock when they see a positive and may even start to have doubts about whether they want it or not.

My advice to you is to switch off the pc, have a talk with your nearest and dearest, see the GP for a proper confirmation and have a good think. This is your decision, no-one can help you make it I'm afraid. You must decide what is best, but whatever you do, make sure you don't make a decision that you will later live to regret. Regrets can be devastating in themselves.

pgtipschimp · 06/03/2007 17:34

my last period was 23rd jan, but i shouldve had one 23rd feb - but i didnt because i started my next pack of pills instead of having a 7 day break

OP posts:
Mumpbump · 06/03/2007 17:30

When was the first day of your last period? Surely you must be due in November if you're only just testing now? Not that it helps with the wedding, but you might still be able to go on the honeymoon...

pgtipschimp · 06/03/2007 17:28

well i missed 2 pills from my pack, then carried on my 2nd pack straight away - so technically not due till i end this pack in about 2.5 weeks (but shouldve had a 7 day break about a week and half ago - but decided not to and took next pack)

if that makes sense??

OP posts:
ammylovesolivia · 06/03/2007 17:24

when are you due on?

pgtipschimp · 06/03/2007 17:21

hello

i got a first response today (well 2 BOGOF) i did it when i got home and i couldnt see a 2nd line, well i thought there was someting there, but DH says im just paraniod and there isnt

and im guessing if i were it would show up with one of them, so i guess im safe

i will do the other test on friday morning to def put my mind at ease, but i guess im not pregnant

but i feel like i am - perhaps its too early to get a real +??

OP posts:
ammylovesolivia · 06/03/2007 16:18

Pgtips, I think the only way to deal with this is to do a test and know for sure. What if's really wont help. Get a first response, most sensitive and easy to read. x

hippmummy · 06/03/2007 11:31

aww pgtipschimp
I do feel for you. We set our wedding date and I fell pregnant very quickly after. I got married with a 7 month bump. We still haven't had our honeymoon 2 years later.

All I can say is whatever happens, if it's only practical reasons rather than emotional ones stopping you from considering having the baby, then don't panic. Life has a way of throwing a spanner in the works sometimes, but things have a way of working out and it's never as bad as you think it will be.

I'm keeping fingers crossed you get the result you want (had a pg scare myself recently). But whatever happens good luck x

pgtipschimp · 06/03/2007 11:16

well, its not a holiday, its a honeymoon, im getting married in October - i didnt want to say really because i might out myself, but im not sure if ive even posted about it much.

in reality its the wedding, ive been with my partner 10 years, and its along time to wait to get married, i bought my dress about 4 days ago and i wont fit in it

god i sound like a monster, but weve spent so much money and i cant walk down the aisle 8 months pregnant

OP posts:
mum03 · 06/03/2007 11:04

In answer to your question, I have been lead to believe that the first response test is the most sensitive that you can buy in the chemist. And that you need at LEAST four hours between weeing to get the most concentrated, but remember also not too drink too much either or you will dilute it down that way too.

I know what you mean about having two small children and coping. My children are now age 2 and 3 and it is only now that I have started to feel like I could cope with a third child. You are NOT an awful person, it is difficult to know how your react when in a particular situation. I too am absolutely against abortion, but I would never condemn anyone who has been in that horrible position of having to make that choice.

Are you getting enough help at home, while dealing with feeling so down?

As for the holiday, if someone came along and said, that the holiday could be brought forward or put back sufficiently so that you could still go, would that alter how you would feel about this possible baby?

I am asking lots of questions, please feel free to just ignore them if you want to, I just want to help if I can in some way. I will keep coming back to this thread during today, to see how you are.

NotanOtter · 06/03/2007 10:56

yes first response is good - i think you would be fine - go out so you dont accidently go to the loo!

pgtipschimp · 06/03/2007 10:54

ps, if i went to tescos now and got a test if i didnt wee until about 2/3pm would it give a true result? or should i just wait till the morning?

is first response the best to get??

OP posts:
pgtipschimp · 06/03/2007 10:52

hi, thanks for your supportive post

i dont want to have another baby because i have 2 that are already very young, and ive been feeling quite down lately - and i dont think im the best mum i could be to my daughters now, never mind to another, plus there are other issues

this may sound trivial, but in all the time DH and i have been together we have never had a holiday, and we saved for a very special expensive holiday and have alreadt paid for it in october, if i am pregnant i will be due when the holiday is, so our dream holiday and thousnads of pounds (thats been very hard to save) will go down the drain

that sounds very selfish but its been something positive to look forward to whilst ive been down

todays been hellish, both the kids are playing up and i just keep crying at the thought of another being here 'demanding' me

ive always said i would never have an abortion, but ive been seriously considering it if the ressult is +

i feel sick writing that, but its how i feel

i havent even mentioned it to my mum and sis who were round yesterday (am very close and talk about everything) as im scared i wont be able to go ahead with the pregnancy - and they would never forgive me

my sis is heavily pregnant and it was 8 months ago i was persuading her to keep her baby - and now im considering doing what i was begging her not to do, im an awful person

OP posts:
mum03 · 06/03/2007 10:15

{{{ hugs }}} to you, sorry that you are feeling so worried. I hope that it turns out the way you want it too, but it does not sound as if it is going to go that way. Do you want to talk about the reasons why it is such a bad time, or would you prefer not to say? It might help talking things through, to try and find some positive things about being pg, just in case you are, or is there someone there with you that you can talk to about it instead?

Will come back later to see how you are.

pgtipschimp · 06/03/2007 09:26

no i dodnt do one this mornng, when i was TTC i was a serial tester, it was one of my fave things to pee on a stick! lol

but i just dont want to because im scared it will say +

OP posts:
pgtipschimp · 06/03/2007 09:24

ive already done my morning wee though, im popping out with my nan so will grab one for tomorrow morning

i think i am because -

feel sick

toothpaste makes me gag

the test yesterday

im knackered

my boobs were tingling this am

and im one unlucky person!

but then i think i may not be because

i may feel sick because im ill, i have a bit of a sore throat and had a headache yesterday

  • the test mayve been negative but its an evap line - and im freaking over nothing

-my boobs have been known to tingle anyways, lol

OP posts:
mum03 · 06/03/2007 09:23

Hope that writing it down helps, you did not do a test this morning then? Probrably best that you are waiting til tomorrow, at least it will give a clearer picture. It would be a good idea to get one of the more sensitive tests, so that it can put your mind at rest, if it negative as you want it to be. I feel for you in this difficult situation.

Tutter · 06/03/2007 09:19

sounds like it to me

i'd be tempted to wee in a glass then pop out to the chemists this mornring

pgtipschimp · 06/03/2007 09:17

hiya

sorry this is probably really boring to you all, lol, but i cant off load anywhere else

i woke up this morning still feeling sick and threw up and was gagging whilst brushing my teeth (major pregnancy alert in my experience)

DH thinks i am, got lots of cramps as per other pregnancies but no where near due period - as i took my next pack as soon as i finished my other - so not due '7 day break' for about 2 weeks still

i still took my pill last night - i dont know if i should be doing that though,

im all over the place

i may buy a test from ebay - they tend to come the next day, but may buy one from the shops instead,

im praying im not, but think i may be

but then again maybe its all in my head because im worrying??

i really dont know - and guess i wont until tomorrow morning!
