Hi Hannah, I'm Joanna. I'm TTC #1 - started trying in September 2016 then had a mc in February at 6 weeks. Waited a cycle then trying again now. Positive thoughts to you, and keep us updated!

bigcakes · 16/04/2017 21:31

I took an early test yesterday and I bfn for me this month. I pretty much expected it for some reason even though we did everything possible this month. Pretty disheartening but onwards and upwards!

hanna87 · 16/04/2017 09:54

Good morning ladies! How are you all?
Sorry ive been mia this week (back to work and everything took over after two weeks off!).. but good to have some routine back.. not sure when AF due for me this month as the mc will have reset the body clock.. though we have dtd, but no major expectations for myself this month and will take things as they come...

Congratulations 🎉🎊!! To @InfinityPlus -that's fantastic news..really happy for you both...

How is everyone else getting on?? struggling to follow all the other threads! So asking on here... ..

Argh sorry @snowfee - trying to write on my phone which requires memory to remember spelling. Tired brain!

bigcakes · 12/04/2017 21:06

Hi @snowflea I think my only word of advice is trying not to get too stressed and don't do early tests - it's confusing at best, upsetting at worst. Plenty of people on here to whinge to!!
Congratulations @InfinityPlus - awesome news!

snowfee · 12/04/2017 13:08

Oh also I'm not familiar with all the lingo that is used on the forum but I've figured out AF means period!

snowfee · 12/04/2017 13:07

Hi all! Just joined Mumsnet so thought I'd introduce myself! I'm 36 and we've been trying since Jan with no luck so far although I did get my hopes up in Feb when I was 2 days late then AF came. Other than knowing how long my cycles are I'm not sure what I need to be doing/checking to get the best results so any tips are welcome!

WantToGoingTo · 12/04/2017 10:43

Congratulations infinity! Was it expected or a big surprise? How lovely :)

I am ok, 5dpo here trying not to symptom spot! (Ha who am I kidding). Temp still high so fingers crossed...

InfinityPlus · 12/04/2017 10:28

How are you all doing ladies?

I know isn't pregnancy related but

OH and I got engaged at the weekend Smile

bigcakes · 10/04/2017 14:39

I'm praying that Ive still got some life in the ovaries, at least a couple of years, but I'm worried that my age is against me now.
Oh how we like to torture ourselves with every possible scenario!

WantToGoingTo · 10/04/2017 12:41

bigcakes I am exactly the same comparing to when I got pregnant at end of 2014! But could be so different now I have no clue! I didn't temp back then though but did use an app etc.

Argh I can think of nothing else it is so hard :(

bigcakes · 10/04/2017 11:59

And everyone else too!

bigcakes · 10/04/2017 11:59

Its so hard to know what is 'normal' or not isn't it?! I did a lot of charting and monitoring when I was trying to conceive my son so I'm trying to compare myself now and my current cycles to that but given that my son is nearly 5, I suppose it could be totally different now! I don't know whether to assume I'm working in the same way or start from scratch so to speak. Ive been using an app to chart things and I am pretty sure I ovulated this month and we tried to hit every day that week so fingers crossed. I'm determined not to do an early test and to try and wait but patience is not my strong point.....keeping busy....keeping busy......
Fingers crossed for you too @WhatToGoingTo

WantToGoingTo · 10/04/2017 08:27

Ahhh infonity that's a bummer. I guess at least you know where you stand now.

Had a temp drop this morning trying not to read into it but hoping it isn't bad news and goes up again tomorrow. Breasts v sore and I'm exhausted but at 3dpo way too early to associate that with anything other than higher progesterone levels after ovulation. Argh hate the tww

InfinityPlus · 10/04/2017 08:09

@WantToGoingTo hope this is your month

AF has arrived this morning for me, going to chart everything as really not sure what a "normal" cycle is for me.

Here's to a very fertile month for all the ladies TTC-ing Smile

InfinityPlus · 08/04/2017 13:22

Thanks @bigcakes. Better to know where I am and can start TTC this month if AF turns up!!

WantToGoingTo · 08/04/2017 13:11

Hi ladies sorry been a bit awol and missed updates from this thread.

hanna I am so sorry to hear your sad news, what a horrible thing to happen. Hope you and oh can support each other.

My af turned up last month bang on time. Been doing lots more monitoring this month and am officially 1dpo today. We dtd nearly every day in fertile week so crossing my fingers and toes.

Hope everyone else is doing ok?

bigcakes · 08/04/2017 13:03

Awwww so sorry @InfinityPlus

InfinityPlus · 08/04/2017 11:11

BFN this morning, which I knew in my heart of hearts would be the case, nausea has stopped which is good. Just have to wait for AF.

InfinityPlus · 05/04/2017 13:31

Good luck @bigcakes hopefully this is your month.

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better @hanna87. It sounds really positive that you and OH have made plans to TTC.

I've been all over the place emotionally - last two nights I've been in floods of tears. OH has been wonderful and I feel reassured that he'll be up to the challenge of looking after me should we conceive. I've decided to not carry on with the OPKs until after AF appears as I'm sure that's not helping. Fingers crossed for AF next week!!! Smile

How is everyone else doing?

bigcakes · 05/04/2017 13:27

Make sure you get plenty of rest @hanna87. It can take a little while to build up your strength again after these things so be gentle with yourself.

hanna87 · 05/04/2017 12:56

Hey Guys! How are you all getting on? Any more good news stories?

Thanks Infinity, i'm much better this week and the bleed seems to have stopped. All in all relieved that this happened now rather than a few months down the line.. Still off work for the next week so recuperating -the whole process has really knackered me!

Had a chat with OH and we are going to start ttc again properly next month once AF has been...thats not to say that we're taking any precautions this month...

@InfinityPlus any sign of AF yet? fingers crossed you're sorted soon -either with AF or even better -a BFP! xx

bigcakes · 05/04/2017 11:46

yikes meant to write @InfinityPlus

bigcakes · 05/04/2017 11:44

I felt like that last cycle @infinity - desperate for the period to arrive for once just so I know things were working! Any sign of it yet?
I'm pretty sure I ovulated this week so there's been some serious effort to get my knocked up in the last few days. I'm now going to try and put it out of my mind for the next week or so till af is due - easier said than done but I'm going to try and keep busy.

InfinityPlus · 03/04/2017 15:35

Hi @hanna87, how are you feeling?

How is everyone else doing?

I have to say I'm struggling a little. I've been doing OPK kits for the last two weeks and there has been nothing 😕. I thought a couple of times that there was a faint line and it might get darker but it hasn't. I'm now wondering if I'm experiencing the Mirena crash in full force as have been nauseous for four days in a row but preg test came back negative. Can't believe I'm actually wanting my period to arrive to know that my hormones are in balance. Am supposed to be studying today but can't concentrate, seem totally focused on reading about what I can do to understand what is going on with my body. Even contemplating spending £100+ on a saliva hormone test kit. As I write this I feel like I sound a little crazy 😳.
