Spent a lovely day at the spa today, and it was a bargain too. £47 for an hour in the spa, an hour Dermalogica facial and a 2 course lunch with wine! Booked in for another facial in two weeks time and also a pedicure this Thursday, just because I feel like I want to be pampered.

Now going to get myself ready for a pub quiz. Bit annoyed at myself as I need some work finishing and signing off by 12 noon tomorrow and I intended to do it yesterday/today and haven't even looked at it. Because I am fairly new in my role, everything is taking me just that little bit longer than it normally would!

Lovely to see the pics Jupiter! I'm really just wishing we could go for it right now, but a number of factors stand in the way.

Grumpy I've been like you today - money worrier. Worrying about lack of savings, wanting to book a holiday, am I irresponsible, etc. I even said what if I have a car accident, have to go off work sick and lose the house! Ever the optimist here Hmm haha

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/03/2017 18:32

Thanks Jupiter I am hoping this TWW won't be as bad because I'll genuinely be fine either way, bit nervous if I do get pregnant actually - it would be better for it to be next cycle or later but I know nature likes to mess with our plans!

Having a lovely cosy Sunday, DH is being super affectionate and DD is not moody for once 😂

HeyJupiter · 19/03/2017 17:36

tessa so sorry for your BFN Flowers Hope you're having a nice day and looking after yourself.

HeyJupiter · 19/03/2017 17:35

seven that’s fab about the lend of a car! That will definitely take the pressure off and much better for you both. Great news.

wiggley we’ll be ready to cheer you on come end of May :)

buzz can’t wait to see your digital tomorrow. Seeing it in black and white really helps psychologically get your head around. Was going to ask whether you’re on prenatals already, but good to get some tomorrow. Has the news sunk in yet your end?

grumpy that all sounds really healthy - although I’ve been the same about work in the past and delayed TTC last year for work reasons. Got to a point where I couldn’t keep doing that anymore and what will be will be in terms of my career (that makes me sound oh so casual when I’m not really.. but will keep pretending for now.) I’ve got a really good feeling for you this month…

Thanks for the kind words everyone. DH and I have had a lovely day by the coast walking and eating cream tea. Going to celebrate tonight with some sparkling fruit juice thing (booo to no more alcohol for 9 months) as have an urge to do some toasting. Hope you’ve all had a happy sunday! Going to phone GP surgery this week to find out what I need to do next (whether can self refer to midwife or whether I need to come in and see them)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/03/2017 17:04

Awesome Jupiter you guys must be feeling on top of the world!

MrsC hope the nausea (and rain!) eases up!

I've been decluttering this weekend and feel so much better for it. I also went to yoga and feel a bit calmer about the work/potential pregnancy situation, so that's good. I place way too much importance on my job sometimes and it's a struggle to remember that balance is good and I don't have to be CEO 👨‍💼 work to live not live to work? If DH is going to be SAHD though I could do with a couple more pay rises! Especially if new DC will go to private school too (which DH wants).

Picked up some cheap HPTs from Wilko, they are £1 for 2 test sticks! They are 20miU sensitivity, I bought 4 as I know I'm a terrible POAS addict. I wonder if ov happened already today or it will be tomorrow.. had some definite twinges on the right side but who knows!

buzzmoon · 19/03/2017 14:56

jupiter yay! 🎉🎉🎉 congrats!! That's so so exciting seeing it in black and white! I've just been to Tesco and bought one. Going to wait for the morning. Did buy decaf coffee and seven seas vitamins as they were on offer :)

laura Ooo have a lovely birthday 🎂

It's been raining here constantly since Friday, it looks like it might dry up so will hopefully get a walk in, have serious cabin fever and apparently exercise helps with nausea, currently here trying not to chuck up my breakfast, but I don't feel as sick as yesterday so I'm clutching at the positives!

Seven0fNine · 19/03/2017 11:07

Hooray! Congratulations Jupiter!! 🎊

Haha wiggley you should have an opening ceremony & cut the ribbon! Definitely think those are excellent reasons to hold off! My hen do was hAnds down the best girlie weekend ever & so much effort had gone into it! Two months will FLY & time is completely on your side!

Sorry for AB Tessa .... good PMA on your DH's part!!

buzz i shall PM you deets when i rise!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/03/2017 10:54

Yes it's the advanced monitor.

Jupiter I would be kicking him awake I can't hold my morning wee!!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 19/03/2017 10:53

Bunny it's a lot of money and TBH it works the same as using the CB dual hormone digital OPKs + an app like Ovia .. I think it would make sense if you thought it would take you many months to conceive (I think using the refills would be less expensive than buying CB digital OPK every month but I'm not sure). I like it because I can't get on with the strip OPKs and I just have to know what's going on! You test at the same time every morning so it's more convenient for me (you can use FMU). Mine was £70 on sale in Amazon I think

Wiggleyfingers · 19/03/2017 10:50

I have thought about it but I just feel too guilty for my friends as I know they have put a lot of effort into organising an amazing drunken hen do and I wouldn't be able to join in. They've been incredible and planned everything! I don't even know where I'm going! So I think I really have to wait until after that. (End of May) but after that my legs are well and truly open! Grin

buzzmoon · 19/03/2017 10:37

Sorry about AB tessa you having a glass of wine in protest? Onwards and upwards for sure!
wiggly have you changed you mind about being on hold yet?

buzzmoon · 19/03/2017 10:36

hb would love the name of the seamstress you used! Thank you 😘 I say stay in bed and have a lazy day! F the gym 😏

tessapop · 19/03/2017 10:28

Hi @Wiggleyfingers this was the first month actively ttc, DH was like oh well more sex for us! Haha clearly not bothered :)

Wiggleyfingers · 19/03/2017 10:13

Morning everyone!
Buzz don't leave it too long, the seamstress that is altering mine wanted at least 12 weeks! I'm not sure why, maybe as she's busy?!

Tessa sorry AB turned up for you, onwards and upwards! Are you actively ttc now or are you in the hump on hold group with me?

Grumpy eeek that's so exciting! Good work FW bumping. Fingers crossed for you.

I'm really annoyed this morning as my usual predictable cycles have thrown me a curve ball with brown spotting on CD22! Very unusual for me, although I did ovulate on CD11 which was really early for me. I keep thinking "Oooh maybe implantation bleeding?!" Then remembering that only protecting humping has happened this month. SadHope it's not my pre-conception vitamins messing things up!

tessapop · 19/03/2017 09:57

Hi guys, so AF showed last night, oh well, at least it was a bit early! Onwards and upwards!

DancingUnicorn · 19/03/2017 09:51

:( hb hope you are feeling better soon!

And yes, wake up mr Jupiter!!
