Have you got any fun birth announcements in the works jupiter ?!

HbH04 · 20/03/2017 08:12

Ah, good to know we'll maybe miss a Christmas baby if it's happened this month!

HeyJupiter · 20/03/2017 08:10

grumpy what you’ve said does make sense! I would count yesterday as O day too. How about other signs? Any ewcm that has now dried up etc? Ovia is such a tease with EDD stuff - nice pre-xmas present for you!

Oh Hb sorry you’re feeling so rotten. Hope you feel better later. peppermint and ginger are both good for nausea Flowers

Thank you Tigger, just reading that made me all excited!! Bet you family are delighted? I keep having little daydreams about telling ours.

Seven really hope the time passes quickly. You’ll be fine. Are you going to do anything nice? takeaway and trashy tv? :)

Tigger83 · 20/03/2017 08:03

Hi all another day! Tomorrow I'm 8 weeks so exciting! Told all the close family now Smile

Hb didn't get sickness at 2ww but did have a stuffy nose and was dizzy keeping everything crossed for you!

Jupiter I'm so excited for you, you're lovely to keep it to yourself and you can have lovely newborn squishy cuddles knowing it'll be your time soon!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/03/2017 08:00

Ok based on this from CB website, I'm counting yesterday as O day. Also Ovia is such a tease - predicting EDD already!

I think you add two weeks onto the digitals because they measure from conception not LMP?

I'm definitely trying the manage my expectations!! I think maybe I'm just ill!

Hopefully i get through my 10 hour day without vomming on anyone!

Penguin27 · 20/03/2017 07:55

Morning all! I would say "good morning", but I'm with grumpy on this SadAngry Monday's suck!

Hb try not to read too much into your nausea at this stage - it's probably a bit early! And you don't want to get your hopes up then be massively disappointed in a week or so... better not to expect anything then get a happy surprise! Flowers

Seven0fNine · 20/03/2017 07:50

Yay so nice to see the digital ones! I wondered that too Jupiter

Don't they say to eat ginger biscuits for sickness?

DH gone away for two nights now so I'm home alone with the cat. We've lived here almost two years but I've never had a night alone. It will be strange but just going to keep busy.

Glad you had a nice birthday Laura the honeymoon will all be worth it.

Happy Monday everyone.....😭

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/03/2017 07:49

Jupiter if I enter the two peak days in Ovia it gives me today as last day of FW (so she assumes ovulation today - the day after the second Peak). However logically to me if ovulation occurs 24-36h after the LH surge is detected that means the latest ov could have happened is last night.. does that make sense?

Feeling very grumpy and bloated today I hate Mondays!!

HeyJupiter · 20/03/2017 07:01

Also, with the clearblue are they working out the number of weeks from day of ovulation or day of implantation?

HeyJupiter · 20/03/2017 06:59

Oh buzz cross post! Yay for the digital and confirms that you're 5 weeks or so now yes? What did the dream screen say?!

HeyJupiter · 20/03/2017 06:58

Lots to catch up on...

buzz let us know what you plan to do with your gorgeous dress. So we're not going to tell family until at least 6-7 weeks - my sister is due to give birth this week and want all that out the way and sorted as don't want to overwhelm my parents (they will be thrilled but dashing all over the country to support her - she isn't local) and want all the focus to be on her. Will tell close friends around the same time and then work etc when 12 weeks (although might have to be before that if I'm sick at work!)

Hb oh lovely, it's a hard time isn't it! I didn't personally get nausea but that doesn't mean anything. Might be sign your progesterone is nice and high though which is good. Looking back my only real symptoms were sore nipples and a dull ache in womb on 9DPO. Really excited for you. Have you got a testing date in mind?

confused would love to see your Disney castle, how fab! I'm officially 4w+2 so still early days but feeling positive. Can't believe you're in your 9th week already.

MrsC so sorry you're feeling so sick. If it's any tiny consolation I've heard that lots of sickness is correlated with successful pregnancies so it is a good sign. Hope today isn't too nightmarish. How are you coping at work? I know you're not throwing up but do you need to take yourself away at times for some space?

grumpy your relaxed approach is excellent and will probably get you pregnant before you know it. I would assume you ovulated yesterday. They probably take two days of readings to compare LH levels and check it's going down on second day rather than rising. Did your fertile window end today or yesterday?

laura happy birthday for yesterday lovely Flowers can't wait to see the dining table!

penguin ditto on it being Monday again urgh!

The Ovia pregnancy app is really funny. After I told the conception one I was pregnant it told me it "couldn't be more proud of me" - not sure I got that level of praise after my A level results!!

buzzmoon · 20/03/2017 06:47

hb you never know! I didn't have any symptoms, and still nothing! But deffo resist the urge to poas, you'll be disappointed 😔
grumpy are you humping tonight??

So did the digital! It's really cool actually! Although I had a dream that it was this massive screen that predicted loads of things like baby names and weight and all sorts 😂

TheGrumpySquirrel · 20/03/2017 06:10

MrsC sorry you are feeling so rough!

Hb I'd just say it's not worth getting excited as it's devastating if you then get BFN/AF.. I know it's easier said than done but better to assume it hasn't worked and then get a surprise!

Well the CBFM didn't ask me to test today and just went back to High. I re read the manual and it says Peak is always displayed for 2 days because ov takes 24-36h post surge (even though it made me test on both those days!). So do you think i count today as ov or yesterday?

My OPK this morning looks the same, test line same as control line, but you aren't meant to use FMU with them so can't read too much into it.

Girls, i need talking down!

CD24, fri/sat i was thinking not much is happening... today, nausea hits like a tonne of bricks (alongside bit of a sore throat/stuffy nose - so could be illness related) Dr Google says pregnancy nausea is more like 7 weeks not 7dpo!!! Any of our lovely preggos get it in 2WW?? I feel so rough!! Also can feel things going on in the womb area! Defo trying not to get hopes up!!

MrsC hope you find some nausea relief, can totally relate after today... hope you survive work tomo
Happy Birthday Laura
Love the sound of your lego creations confused My nephew has just got into duplo And ive been appreciating it (& he loves to destroy my efforts!)
Spa day sounds fab cocktails and such a bargain too!

buzzmoon · 19/03/2017 22:16

mrs moan away! You're allowed on here! Hope you feel better tomorrow and you're so close to time off it will fly by!

buzzmoon · 19/03/2017 22:15

Happy Birthday laura! Glad you had a fab day!

Hope everyone has had a good Sunday! I'm dreading work tomorrow 😩

confused I think you're right about the dress!

MrsC2017 · 19/03/2017 21:46

confused my DS would move in with you if he seen that cabinet he's lego obsessed, must get him a cabinet, we've got him his own table in the living room dedicated to it but it's constantly spilling over into the floor! Send a pic of all your creations!

laura glad you had a wonderful birthday, sounds perfect! It's mine in May.... trying to ignore it!

I am dreading work this week, today and yesterday have been hell, I still haven't vomited but I wish I could, I feel so so so sick all the time, I thought I was doing better this morning but when I got back from walking it hit me again! All I keep eating is hula hoops, it's like I need salt and carbs! Sorry to be such a moaner, even mum has no sympathy and told me it's a good sign but it's just hard to be appreciative of that when u feel so crap!
Anyway hope everyone's weeks fly, three weeks of work and then I have two off, just have to focus on that!

confusedat23 · 19/03/2017 21:18

Soooo many posts so little time to catch up before i fall asleep already been in bed since 8.30pm
Being pregnant is really tiring!

So me and DH spent the day building our new cheap wooden cabinet for the livingroom... i am an avid lego builder/collector and since moving in most peices have been stored destroyed in various boxes throughout the flat. Its a big half cupboard half cabinet one because I am one of the lucky people to get my hands on a Disney Castle set (little sisters friend worked at legoland) and so this cabinet was bought to fit this mahoosive castle in and well... it doesn't fit 🙈😂 lol... we have been saving for 3 months for this stupid cabinet!! But oh well you have to laugh or you'd cry! I have enough peices to fill it twofold anyways!

Happy Birthday Laura i remember turning 22 and really struggling to remember I wasn't 21 anymore although I did get engaged on my 22nd birthday so i should have remembered! Lol

Cocktails it was me! Lol i'm always worrying about something everything i blame being a virgo its just natural to me lol!... in all honesty though dw about it... the only reason i worry about it is because I know me and DH couldn't pay the bills wilst i was on mat leave past 3 months without savings so thats why i panic... but our financial situation is not great so thats why we have done it that way... other people can afford to live on one income and mat pay and thats ok too! Basically as long as you pay your bills you can find cheap enough ways of doing everything else

Buzz obviously its completely up to you but i would have your dress changed to a lace up anyway... its a beautiful dress but coming from someone who was fully corsetted into a couture dress which then had buttons over the top!... (and also someone who is starting to show at 8+4) its a really nice feeling to know that you can sneak away and have your dress let our a bit... also then you don't have the stress of if it is going to fit or not because it is guaranteed to!

Grumpy glad you are feeling better about TTC now... family always trumps work in our hearts because no matter what job you have you always have your family ❤

Jupiter so glad to see your digi! And that line is so strong!! How far are you now?... i'm glad your DH is taking it well... before we got our BFP DH said he felt like he needed a change in life but wasn't sure what and then afterwards he said to me that the BFP was actually what he needed and it wasn't daunting for him! Which i think is lovely to hear when all the time we are fed that crap about men being scared to have kids etc...

DancingUnicorn · 19/03/2017 21:18

Happy birthday Laura! 🎈🎉 Honeymoon will be well worth the credit card pain!

xlaura · 19/03/2017 20:47

Dress looks lovely buzz deffo keep somebody on stand by you never know you may be a late bloomer!

Seven / MrsC yes it was my birthday today. The big 22!! Haha..thank you for remembering I'm impressed. Got throughly spoilt and had a lovely lunch out with oh and my parents. My puppy woke us both up at 1am, 4am and then 6:45am so we're fathers knackered. Just about to get into bed and have abit of birthday sex 😏 haha. Shame I'm still using something tho..

Honeymoon had to be paid today so my poor credit card just got rinsed 😒 also just bought a new dining table and chairs after getting rid of ours. Will post pics of that when it arrives!!

Penguin27 · 19/03/2017 20:19

Hey all - manic weekend, sorry I haven't been around! Thanks for the new list seven - I'm on cycle 2, Ovia expects AF on 31 March but I don't know how regular my cycle is yet. Love the "designated drinker" comment too haha!!

Omg they are two very BFPs buzz, congratulations!! So excited!! Don't worry about your dress, I'm sure you'll be able to make adjustments to fit your bump if needed.

Confused sorry to hear about the problems with your landlord. I hope they sort it out for you quickly!

Cocktails I'll be interested to read more about that on Google. Good luck on the weight loss!

Loving the official announcement Jupiter, hope seeing the word 'pregnant' makes it feel much more real for you!

Glad you've managed to get some yoga into your weekend Grumpy and had some time to clarify your priorities in your head! I'm the same, always worried about work/home balance etc, there's never a "right time" though!!

Can't believe it's Monday again tomorrow...

Cocktails30 · 19/03/2017 20:08

It was at a college buzz. I thought it might be rubbish, but it was separate to the college and a properly built spa. It didn't have a pool, but had everything else. It was so nice just to relax and chill with my mum! My treatment was with a graduate so £30, but I've booked the same treatment with a junior for a couple of weeks for £16 and a luxury pedi with a jnr on Thursday for £10! I wasn't expecting much but really it was as good as any other spa, nothing like you would expect a college. The restaurant was also in the college and the chefs and servers were all training too so the food was very good! Will definitely do it more often.

I work in communications. I've just moved jobs so putting a lot of pressure on myself!

I'm terrible at quizzes!!!! I never know anything.

buzzmoon · 19/03/2017 19:29

Wow cocktails that is a bargain!! Whereabouts was that? Enjoy your pub quiz! What do you do for a job?

jupiter still hasn't sunk in at all! Don't know who to tell, or when! What are you doing?

Cocktails30 · 19/03/2017 19:20

Or was that confused?! Sorry I can't edit the post and just realised I think it was confused worrying about money.
