Omg MrsC poor you but soo glad you posted that! I've had beigey darkish discharge too and have been freaking out, it was even sort of brown this morning :( I've read too that it's really normal but there's the odd post that says it's how a MC started, but really it must be so common :) You stand up for yourself at work, and don't let anyone pin something on you! I work in finance and we had the same thing happen to a poor woman a couple of years ago, the director came and gave us all a massive telling off and it turned out to be nothing to do with her! They do like to find their scapegoat don't they :( Good luck Flowers

TheGrumpySquirrel · 08/03/2017 12:33

MrsC that really really sucks and I know the feeling, having been through something similar at the end of January. I know it's so hard not to take the stress on board but try to get some perspective and think "it's only work".. can you take a day off and relax completely? Having a good cry can help too. Flowers

Thanks parsnips happy international women's day indeed.. feeling very cynical right now! I understand why so many women opt out of this fight...

MrsC2017 · 08/03/2017 12:22

Hi girls, sorry have been awol, had an immensely stressful day in work yesterday where I was basically made a scapegoat for a serious issue and I have been so upset and angry all night, I've called a meeting to discuss the failures and how it's made things end up in a shoot the messenger who received incorrect information. I don't think I have ever been so stressed so really hoping I haven't done anything to damage babs, who is but a mere poppy seed. Anyway I'm trying to be calmer, have noticed beige discharge today (sorry tmi) Google tells me it's normal but if course p now I'm worried about that, I'm only 4+4 so everything is so early even though it feels like I have known forever! Sorry I'm going to catch up properly now on everyone so apologies for a hugely selfish ranty post, I just needed to get it all out.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 08/03/2017 10:47

Oh grumpy that really sucks that their questions have impacted you so much. I would add that a strong performance review will really assist you with demonstrating you were discriminated against for maternity and pregnancy (if the time came). But so awful that you have to delay a life choice because of work.

Tbh I need to demonstrate I'm performing at associate level to get my promotion and so the longer I leave it the better as mat leave will set me back really. Given they sacked a colleague last week it is probably worth thinking about.

Happy fucking international women's day!!!

Now I'm super worried about the impact on work of a pregnancy announcement so I'm wondering if we should wait until July/August to try properly - that way I don't have to tell them before the annual reviews are completed. And then possibly only take 3-4 months off rather than 6 so only miss the quiet summer months at work. Really annoyed this has taken the excitement / happiness out of deciding to TTC.

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 08/03/2017 10:29

Motion carried! Aunt Bitch she is!

DH has now decided he wants us to wait until August so we have more time to save etc.

Think I'll get back on the diet graft in the meantime!

Oh no sorry parsnips and laura 😔 please can we change AF to AB?? 😂 I love aunt bitch haha almost as good as nips.

Hope everyone has a happy hump day. I'm in Newcastle today for work - it's cold!

TheGrumpySquirrel · 08/03/2017 09:27

Oh yes and I love my mooncup! No changing at work only at home, don't feel it at all and no leaks ever.

TheGrumpySquirrel · 08/03/2017 09:24

Sorry about AF parsnips and Laura

CD4 here and AF is almost done which is great but I am not feeling well at all, I think my digestion is messed up so will try a fruit veg and water diet for the next couple of days to get reset.

Feeling quite flabby so want to get back on the yoga routine too.

HbH04 · 08/03/2017 08:42

Oh rubbish parsnips 😭 although you have some small silver linings... hope you win the quiz to makE up for AF!

Great for the work success seven Is a term three months? That sounds short but I'm thinking I'll be similar Shock Are you self employed?

orangefolly · 08/03/2017 08:26

Morning all. Thank you for your lovely comments Flowers I do love our thread and all you brilliant supportive lot Smile

parsnips oh no - so sorry Aunt Bitch turned up. I am starting to hate her! Enjoy tonight though

mummy maybe just a couple more days' humping to make sure you catch it?

I am definitely starting to symptom spot woke up with the tiniest twinge in the pelvic area in the night and thought 'implantation???' obv likely not, but I think I've just never listened so hard to my body! Amusing times in the Orange household this morning - Mr Orange is singing Kate Bush in the shower right now, haha!

DancingUnicorn · 08/03/2017 08:25

Sorry for AF parsnips! Hope you enjoy the wine and are not too disappointed.

Hope it's not too painful Laura and you save your pjs! Hate unexpected AF!!!

Congrats on the double time seven!

xlaura · 08/03/2017 08:17

Join the red club parsnips so much fun..NOT!! 😔 I should've known like you because I had mild twinges last night whilst I was eating dinner but just ruled it out because AF wasn't due til Sunday. Enjoy your glass of wine or two tonight..don't let it get you down. Gradually approaching April so that will be your month girl!!!

Flowerpot15 · 08/03/2017 08:17

Sorry to hear that Parsnips. Enjoy theWinein March xx

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 08/03/2017 07:40

The red tide of doom got me.

Had another negative this morning and all clear on the knicker front then felt the tell tale cramping during a meeting and whaddya know, sure it's me old AF over for a visit!

Ah well.

That's us out of trying until April or so as we have lots of visitors with us until then. Suppose it would be hard to hide an early preg while people are staying with us so it's probably for the best.

Pub quiz tonight so wine o'clock for me Wine

Hey guys,

Sorry to hear your cycle is messing you round mummy...You'll just have to keep humping throughout xx

We have little savings too but DH will be sahd which is lovely. I'll be back to work after a term. I think that's all I be able to afford to take off.

CD7 and absolutely knackered after not getting home until 10 last night. But diet going well and nothing else to report!
Other than one of my schools saying they want double the amount of time next year which is fab cos I love it and it will mean more money!! Wheeee

xlaura · 08/03/2017 07:22

Morning ladies, have a manic couple of days with work and workmen in and out of my house! Think first AF made an appearance through the middle of the night so my poor white and pink pj bottoms are currently in soak! 😪 if it was my proper AF since coming off the pill that puts my first cycle on a 24 day one. I've got a pad in just in case 🤞🏼

Mummyme87 · 08/03/2017 07:15

CD14 today but I don't know when I ovulated. I had pelvic twinges on CD10 similar to ovulation and got a positive OPK on CD11 & 12 meaning I should ovulate 12-36hrs afterwards. I didn't have any pain indicating OV as I usually do, and usually I OV on CD14. I got a very negative OPK on CD13. Very confused and don't know when to start my TWW 🤔

Cocktails30 · 07/03/2017 23:32

confused we don't even have savings! It all goes on holidays. I'm feeling a bit bad now and worried 😕

Ah jupiter I never realised they could move you. Although I think they would struggle to find anything on 80% with same job description!

HbH04 · 07/03/2017 22:48

I think I'll cross the bridge once i get to it & not get too ahead of myself!!

DancingUnicorn · 07/03/2017 22:17

I was about to buy a mooncup too! Will do after all this has finished I think. I've read some really positive things.

Hb I have one friend who's doing the last consecutive 40 days as her 'lent' rather than skipping the Sundays. Might be pushing it a bit too far though! Hope you can decide on a plan and that you need to put it into use!

Grumpy is your dh excited about being a sahd? I think it may end up being an option here... I don't know if oh would like the idea though! (He'd be amazing, I'm sure!!)

HbH04 · 07/03/2017 22:00

Do you rate mooncups grumpy ? Have read quite a bit about them on here & they've intrigued me?

Dancing I wish i'd just given up alcohol for lent (did fizzy drinks instead)... my birthday was at the weekend so wanted one last knees up before we kick off!! I can't believe how things are speeding along for you!! (I bet it doesn't feel like it your end tho Confused)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 07/03/2017 21:26

Hey ladies I am feeling the money pressure too - DH is considering becoming SAHD to support my career but just still feel really down at the judgemental baby questions from my boss's boss (my actual manager is super nice and right on, I told him the questioning was making me uncomfortable and he was very shocked i had been asked).

On the positive side CD3 and period very light now, exactly like last month - day 1 excruciating pain and heavy, day 2 medium flow, today almost nothing. I swear AF is a lot shorter & lighter these days than I remember pre pill - think possibly mooncup makes you think there is less flow as it doesn't fill up as fast as a pad or tampon.

Sorry mummy that sounds super tiring. Brew for you, hope you get some good rest tonight!

DancingUnicorn · 07/03/2017 21:14

Jupiter I had a classic Ovia comment yesterday... apparently if you're lactose intolerant you should avoid dairy... erm, thanks! (I'm not, so...)

Hb have you been drinking around family recently? I've given up alcohol for lent... might be too late to start it now though!

We told parents and one close friend at 7 weeks. It felt like the right time for us, as it felt like I was lying before then. I don't think there's a wrong choice though!

confusedat23 · 07/03/2017 21:05

Oh no Mummy you need to make sure you have some sort of break! I know it must be hard being a midwife as you are in demand so breaks must be short but your health is important too!

Hmmm HB thats a hard one!... is there any way you could say you are TTC and in the TWW so feel it inappropriate to drink and then leave it at that or are you better off just spilling the beans?

Cocktails Ovia is a necessary evil if you want to track your cycles... however she will one day tell you that sore boobs are deffo a bfp and the next day she is your totally geared up for AF! Its so annoying and an emotional rollercoaster with her! Also thanks for your reassurance its nice to hear about other peoples debt (it makes you feel more normal!) i actually have a £7K baby fund to bridge the gap between mat and normal pay Blush i could use it to pay the debt but then what do we do if something goes wrong... we'll only borrow again and be in as bad if not worse position with a baby and no savings!

We got forced to tell immediate family because of hospital trips etc but its the best thing we have done... we have really leant on them emotionally and no one is asking questions that could upset or dancing around the elephant in the room etc etc

Orange I am so sorry for your loss hun Flowers
