Thanks Jupiter :) ugh I so can't concentrate on losing weight at the moment, I've been on slimming world before for ages and it does work but I feel like what's the point for me at the moment as I don't want to restrict too much you know? Do any of you guys make sure you don't drink too much caffeine and cut out alcohol just in case?

buzzmoon · 10/03/2017 19:29

Welcome to the mad house tessa!!

buzzmoon · 10/03/2017 19:28

grumpy you'll do 7lbs easy I'm sure :) just small changes will make a difference. do you have a goal time to do it? August when you're TTC? That is right, August?

I'd absolutely love it if I was, but I'm really not hopeful- I didn't think anything of it until you all peer pressuring to POAS! Practically, I'd be what 4 months at my wedding in July? So over the sickness and maybe not showing? What dya reckon will it be a disaster? Nah I'm deffo not pregnant, I've literally had NO symptoms! It'd be impossible I'm sure!

Bloody hell now I really need to poas don't I??

TheGrumpySquirrel · 10/03/2017 19:00

Jupiter it's the last half stone though so basically impossible! In fact, it should be a whole stone if I wanted to get back to my "usual" weight, but I've not been able to get there for over two years so I've given up and set a new target, sigh, hope this isn't a trend. Although to be fair I am more muscly now so that makes me feel a bit better.

Welcome tessa! It's so exciting isn't it? Hope your TWW doesn't drag too much!

tessapop · 10/03/2017 18:26

Hi guys,

Do you mind if I join? It's my first cycle ttc #1 and I'm soo excited it's ridiculous! I think it's going to be a long wait! I'm currently 5dpo and af is due on march 21st. Mummyme87 that's so cool that you went to the baby show! Was it any good? Did it feel a bit strange as you're not expecting yet?

HeyJupiter · 10/03/2017 18:21

Thanks Hb and Dancing that’s really kind. I hope it’s my month too. Still zero symptoms apart from some cramping (which I do often get about a week before AB)… I’ve been doing the pillow under the bum thing so hope your GP was right. Gah, we shall see. Not feeling massively optimistic but that’s just a protective thing.

Oh my god buzz you need to go and get a test.. walk for miles if you have to, we demand it! Am teasing of course.. how would you feel if you were?

Red would love to hear the male perspective too. DH isn’t being very insightful about it but is probably just being kind to me in the process.

grumpy wish I only had half a stone to lose! Go for it :)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 10/03/2017 17:49

I think that's around 7lbs or half a stone to lose (3kg = 6.6lbs)

TheGrumpySquirrel · 10/03/2017 17:47

Lol buzz the irony.. I guess AF will be properly late by Monday then if she doesn't arrive this weekend though? Exciting..

I'm almost home so glad this week is over! I'm going to have a lovely hot shower and have dinner with DD. I've decided to do paleo again but will allow myself cheese/butter/fruit occasionally. Loads of water, protein and veg. No carbs no sugar! Determined to stick it out this time. 57kg is my target, I was 59 end feb but strongly suspect I'm 60-61 again. I just feel so squidgy around the edges! Yoga tomorrow morning.

Penguin27 · 10/03/2017 17:02

Hb and buzz I seem to remember being told that my uterus is slightly angled backwards, but was told this was normal and it would change when I fell pregnant. But this was several years ago so I can't be 100% sure... I'll check to see if I have the Drs notes when I get home

buzzmoon · 10/03/2017 16:48

hb is it actually scientific?? My nurse said I had a tilted one too at my smear, didn't really know what it meant tbh! Gonna google the hell out of it now!

buzzmoon · 10/03/2017 16:35

😩😩😩😩 I'm desperate to POAS!! We are at OHs mums for the weekend and they live in a little village, so a drive away from a shop and I don't have my car!!! 😩😩😩

Penguin27 · 10/03/2017 16:21

Buzz I'm going to join in the peer pressure and insist that you poas!!

Red that's a really interesting thought! Any male lurkers that would like to use this opportune moment to say what they think?

I have noticed that there are a fair few men on MN ... I don't have a problem with that, but just seems a bit unusual as it seems such a feminine environment!

HbH04 · 10/03/2017 16:17

In other news... i had to go to the Docs for a non-TTC concern today, but mentioned it because she was prescribing antibiotics. Among her tips were the pillow under the bum technique! I said I thought that was an old wives tail but she assured me its the way forward!

HbH04 · 10/03/2017 16:03

red after joking with DH about 'dads-net' i googled it earlier to see if it existed! I found an area on mumsnet called dadsnet! Only had a quick read of a few threads (eg. "Think my partner got pregnant on purpose") No insight into the male land of TTC that i saw... would be fascinating tho!

Wiggleyfingers · 10/03/2017 15:54

Ahh Tigger what a lovely way to start the weekend by hearing tiny Tigger's heartbeat!
Buzz please PLEASE poas first thing tomorrow morning! If you can't achieve tonight

Tigger83 · 10/03/2017 15:35

Thanks guys. Super happy that we saw the heartbeat starting to feel a bit more real now!

DancingUnicorn · 10/03/2017 15:32

Tigger! Amazing news. So happy for you. :) confused fx things will be just as good for you on Monday.

Waiting for news buzz!

Jupiter so hopeful for you!!

Redpony1 · 10/03/2017 15:31

POAS Buzz!

I was thinking earlier, i wonder if anyones ever written a post from a male perspective about TTC and how they felt about tracking FW etc. I Googled and i can't find anything really. I would love to know from an anon male what they think of perhaps mostly being expected to preform when their partner says it's FW etc..!

Seven0fNine · 10/03/2017 14:59

Poas poas poas buzz poas poas poas

Yay for little Tigger heartbeat! X

HbH04 · 10/03/2017 14:09

Eeek buzz, what grumpy said!

Is the wedding June?

TheGrumpySquirrel · 10/03/2017 13:35

Ahh buzz you need to POAS!!!

buzzmoon · 10/03/2017 12:41

Well, we've been avoiding my FW but not using any other contraception. My friend made the point that I don't actually know when I ovulated so might have not avoided the FW at all!

HbH04 · 10/03/2017 12:17

Intriguing buzz

Is there any possibility of a BFP or are you being super careful?

I had similar last month, always 29 day cycle and then i got thrown an extra four days for some reason!

buzzmoon · 10/03/2017 12:14

seven well done on the diet :)

So AB has been like clockwork so far. And I'm supposed to be due today and nothing. I've no idea when I ovulated though cause had zero symptoms and have had zero symptoms this past week. Hmm...

buzzmoon · 10/03/2017 12:12

Yay tigger that's exciting! I've just found out oh's cousin is having twins!!
