Yes, I’d just have a chat with the midwife Dancing, as long as you don’t feel really unwell then probably can wait.

Don’t worry confused, not everyone gets nausea - you’re fine :)

MrsC so happy you have your scan date. The wait must feel unbearable but it will come round… can’t wait to hear all about it!

Ohh Wiggley what is the lump like? I have had a sort of spot on my labia before (a bit like a pimple would be on your face) and I just squeezed it and puss came out (sorry for grossing you all out) and then it sorted itself out. Does it feel pop-able? Or is it hard?

buzz I don’t know how I’m keeping it a secret Grin Think I’m naturally a bit anxious when it comes to health and things so I’m really scared something bad will happen. I hope those feelings subside by about 6 weeks and then I’ll feel more confident telling other people. Once I start though I won’t stop and the whole world will know. So excited for you still, any more thoughts on the wedding dress? Love your need to be domesticated for the midwife. You can go all stepford wife and have cookies in the oven and an immaculate house… or just be your lovely self.

Penguin your DH is right, it will be your turn soon Flowers It’s so difficult with work problems.. I’ve felt the same for the last 6 months. TTC has been a good distraction but in some ways has made work harder as it’s taken away a lot of my focus on my career which has made me not enjoy the role. I don’t hate it but faced with a lot of budget cuts which makes it emotionally draining. Being pregnant has improved this of course as the end is in sight (even temporarily) but also don’t want to go on maternity leave still feeling unsettled in my job. Hopefully things will improve for us both.

cocktails you can lose a lot in 6 weeks, at least half a stone maybe? Am sure you look great. Yay for the holiday though!

Cocktails30 · 21/03/2017 20:33

Also to add I have booked my holiday so now have 6 weeks to lose a stone :( Not going to happen is it.

wiggley are you sure it isn't an ingrowing hair?

Cocktails30 · 21/03/2017 20:23

I haven't caught up completely yet but Grumpy I just want to say I'm also 30 (next week) and I am feeling the pressures generally of work. I took on a new job in November and have climbed the career ladder quite quickly and I often find myself not feeling cut out for it, I have no confidence in myself, think I am rubbish, etc. I'm looking into some confidence/leadership coaching to help me gain some confidence. I also find myself lacking in motivation a lot and working long hours! I used to have such a good work/life balance in my last job! Gym every morning, work at 8, leave at 4.30. I could have evening plans and not worry and now I feel under pressure when I make evening plans!

Penguin27 · 21/03/2017 20:13

Thanks for the kind words all. Jupiter, my work is just rubbish in general! It's frustrating because it's just the role I'm in that sucks; I hope know that it's a good place to work, I just need to put up with the crap until the next opportunity comes along.

I'm less upset about the baby bomb now... I spoke to DH and he told me to stop being silly, it won't be long til it's our turn. He's lovely Smile

MrsC sorry you're a bit worried about the quality of care you might receive at the hospital ... but Dancing is probably right, it's probably not as bad as you expect. Maybe you could think about having a home birth if you'd feel comfortable doing that?

Laura omg the Maldives sounds heavenly, definitely a treat!!

Oh no Wiggley that sounds horrible! I would be straight on the phone to the GP though, it's probably nothing to worry about but better to know.

Wiggleyfingers · 21/03/2017 19:59

Luckily it's not as hideous as some of the Google pictures! It's only the size of a small pea but I'm terrified it could turn into something gross. AB is due any day which is even worse so if it's still hanging around after I will book in. Ohhhhh Sad

Anyway lovely to hear about all the midwife meetings! I had a lovely baby dream last night, all squishy and cuddly!

MrsC2017 · 21/03/2017 19:50

Ouch wiggly I have never had that but have had lumps from ingrown hairs that are incredibly painful! Anything in that region is ouchy, def go to the gp, mine told me before that looking at a vagina is the same as looking as a throat to her!

buzzmoon · 21/03/2017 19:47

Oh no wiggly I've just googled it that looks so sore!! Hope it's not too painful! Don't be embarrassed going to GP I'm sure they've seen loads worse!

buzzmoon · 21/03/2017 19:43

mummy so nice to see you! 🙋🏽 you're so wise! Hope you're doing well ❤️
penguin sorry you've been baby bombed :( it'll be you soon!

jupiter how are you keeping it a secret?? I'm supposed to be seeing a friend on Friday for drinks and then a girls night on Saturday! Help!!

confused I will have a look at baby centre, thank you! I've not felt sick at all yet, fingers crossed

mrs 2nd May that's so exciting!! Eek!

I'm very impressed actually, especially after being worried that id never hear! I'm nervous about Saturday, presume will just be booking in but feel like I need to make a good impression, gonna have a major clean and I feel like I need to bake or something 😂

Wiggleyfingers · 21/03/2017 19:38

Oh god ladies I have an embarrassing problem!

Yesterday I felt a little uncomfortable in the downstairs area, a bit like when your knickers haven't been sitting straight. Today I woke up with a horrible lump on my vagina! Ahhh it's so uncomfortable and painful I'm trying not to freak out. Dr Google suggests is a Bartholins Cyst?! Has anyone ever experienced this? I really want to it go away so I don't have to deal with it any longer. I don't want to go to the GP! 🙈

xlaura · 21/03/2017 19:29

Not sure what happened with that post of mine..seems the bold seem to go abit weird. Me and stupid apps..never get along with them #TechnologyDo1

xlaura · 21/03/2017 19:29

Thanks ladies!
*
Buzz* I'm okay..ovulation pain has calmed down seems to be worse in the mornings and evenings but it's manageable right now thank the lord!

Penguin yeah I know..I'm paying £500 off credit card, £200 in cash for makeup artist on the day and £175 left for remainder of photo booth. Then if I got a little bit left after tax and NI I'll get oh bday prezzie early so I haven't gotta find the money in May. I'm also going to Maldives for 10 nights so it's a little pricy but the deal we got was really good and we're only gonna go once so fuck it haha!

Jupiter/MrsC/Confused I know thank the lord! Coming around rather quick now..don't seem to have enough time to sort anything out. Oh has loads of private landscaping work booked in he hasn't even got enough time to fit all the jobs in before stag do and wedding and honeymoon so is having to turn money away (which I hate obvs!)

DancingUnicorn · 21/03/2017 18:44

Definitely not moaning MrsC it really sucks. I hope it passes for you. If it gets unbearable, there are medications they can give you. I'm sorry your local hospital is not ideal, but I imagine most people have an ok experience, just those with bad experiences complain more loudly! I'm incredibly lucky, as my local seems to have a brilliant reputation!

Confused I know it's hard, but try not to worry. It can still come on, but hopefully it won't! I've managed to drink more today thanks, and feel so much better for a day at home!

MrsC2017 · 21/03/2017 18:38

Thanks everyone I feel like such a moaner! I really hope it clears up long before 12 weeks because not sure I'll cope with another 6 weeks of this, tomorrow would be good Grin! Mum said she was sick on me and my sis but not with my brother so she already thinks it's a girl!
confused I had zero sickness on DS so I think it just depends! Hopefully you have skipped it as a symptom!!
mummy great to hear from you and glad you are feeling more positive!
laura great news on the bonus, a chunk off the honeymoon is great!
penguin sorry about work and being baby bombed, boo! I'm sure you'll have a BFP very soon, big love!
buzz that sounds so efficient, in fact the whole service over there sounds much better! The hospital I'm going to has a really Crap reputation and a lot of controversy surrounding it, unfortunately I have no alternative so will hope for a positive experience! First scan is 2nd of may at 12weeks.... Seems like an age away!

confusedat23 · 21/03/2017 18:01

Mummy yay i am so bloody excited to see you back! Thanks for the info on Bloods... i believe I'm B- so i think that means i'll have to have the injections?... a strange odd fact from the world of confused (all you medical people out there might not be surprised) but my mum, dad and 2 sisters all have the same blood type! Weird eh! Lol...

Buzz i am so jealous about your super quick Midwife!!... another member of my family has just found out she is 6 weeks and she seems to have been rushed through the system for the same hospital as me! So it seems like some people are just luckier than others for appointments. In regards to the reviews it might be that you have the option of a birthing centre near you as well as 2 hospitals. If you look at baby centre it has this thing to advise where would be best suited to you and how close to your home it is!

Penguin you seem to be handling it well! Its natural to be a little bummed out by a baby bomb!

Laura congrats on the bonus!

Dancing are you managing to drink any more than yesterday?

Jupiter i hope you had a nice day with DSis and Neice!

I'm feeling really worried by how sick everyone has been feeling... i have very mild nausea in the morning but thats it 😕

DancingUnicorn · 21/03/2017 18:01

Penguin I'm so sorry for the baby bombing and work being crap. :( Totally understandable that you're happy for the family member but feeling frustrated for yourself. Hopefully your bfp is not too far away and babies can grow up to be friends! :)

Jupiter I've managed to drink a bit more today thanks lovely, but think my body is still catching up. Not sure who I'm supposed to call if I want to get tested for a uti. I won't get a drs appt before the weekend I'm sure, so might as well wait and ask the midwife!

HeyJupiter · 21/03/2017 17:52

confused glad mummy confirmed that your DH won't have to give a blood sample. I’ll have to go to my booking in appointment alone so they wouldn’t get a chance to take DH’s even if they wanted it :) Hope you have satiated the hunger and eaten all the chips you needed!!

Oh guys it was so hard to keep my secret today with my friend and will be even harder tomorrow with family… but it has to be done! Determined to stay strong until the 8 weeks mark when we all get together for Easter. Don’t want to jinx anything as still early days.

Dancing how is the weeing today lovely? Could well be dehydration so your body is hanging onto all the fluid it can.

MrsC glad you are feeling a tiny bit better Flowers this is so rough, I’m so sorry it’s so hard. Is morning sickness meant to decrease at around 12 weeks or before?

Wow buzz your midwifes are so efficient!! That’s amazing. Will that technically be the ‘booking in’ appointment or a pre-visit type thing? Google the maternity wards and there will some kind of review system somewhere I think…

laura yay for the bonus! It all helps.. wedding not too far away now :)

Hi mummy, so glad you’re going to pop in when you can. It’s lovely to catch up and we appreciate all your amazing advice and maternity wisdom!

Penguin sorry work is being crap at the moment…is it things that will change eventually or a general bad work-week type thing?

Penguin27 · 21/03/2017 17:23

And I've just been baby bombed by a family member ... happy for her but still feel a little miffed.

DancingUnicorn · 21/03/2017 17:17

Mummy 💐 Glad you're feeling a bit better! We all miss you, but understand why you're keeping your distance. Thinking of you!

Penguin27 · 21/03/2017 17:16

Hi mummy!! Thanks for popping in, hope you're doing well Grin

That's great news about the bonus Laura, even though you don't get to treat yourself right now just think of it as a big chunk paid off your honeymoon - which will be an amazing treat! Where are you off to? (You've probably said 1000 times, sorry Confused)

I'm feeling so fed up at work lately Sad overwork, underpaid and underappreciated!!

Mummyme87 · 21/03/2017 17:05

Hey ladies just checking in to say hello. Have been thinking about you all. Chilled out a bit here now AF is day 3 so should be over soon. I'm still keeping my distance from this thread for a little while to help my neurotic mentalness but will check in every now and then.

Great to see the booking appts coming up.
confused your OH won't need bloods taken. Even if you're rhesus negative it would only be you. Only time OHs have bloods is if you are a sickle cell or thalassaemia carrier and that wouldn't come through until about 16weeks.
Typical blood test time is 10-14weeks, 28weeks and sometimes 36weeks.. obviously unless you need extra bloods for other things

buzzmoon · 21/03/2017 15:03

Yay laura on the bonus! Your honeymoon will be so worth it! 81 days is so soon!!! How are you feeling?

orangefolly · 21/03/2017 14:26

Ah thanks jupiter looking forward to my package!! Hope you have lovely days off, sumshine today is great for swimming!

Hope all the preggos feel better! You are making me a little nervous, lol Grin

DancingUnicorn · 21/03/2017 14:07

Buzz I think the NHS choices website has reviews of maternity wards?

I can't believe how efficient your midwives are! I feel like I've been waiting forever!!

xlaura · 21/03/2017 13:54

Afternoon ladies, hope we're all well and bumps are cooking nicely! Ovulation day I think today, I think theres a little devil in there playing the guitar with my ovaries Angry so far ive had 4 paracetamol and 2 codeine and I'm just about due for some more at 3ish.

Just got a letter through my door from my company with a £1000 bonus so that's come at a good time, not that I will get any of it it'll all go on a credit card payment unfortuantely Envy

81 days until Wedding day and 82 days until Honeymoon time. I'm so ready for a holiday right now

HbH04 · 21/03/2017 13:33

Aw poor preggos... sorry you're feeling rubbish, roll on the bloom!

Will be lovele once you're a bit further along and start to enjoy it/look forward FlowersCake
