Thanks hippy! I stupidly got a consultant in my work to scan me on shift as I knew my dates and had no symptoms 💔So was on shift when no FH. Obviously had to go home it was awful!!! Only positive from working in maternity after that is consultant (who is technically my boss) said I could come to epu for reassurance scans!! But I don't think I'll even be "reassured" until I'm at that 12 week scan honestly!!

Iv had this really weird lower abdo crampy pain and some left sided pain today 🤔 Nothing major but defo feel it! It's amazing how much u notice when waiting lol!! Think I feel my boobs about 20 times a day too 🙈🙈🙈🙈 now I'm thinking of using one of these early detection tests 🤔🤔🤔

Rainbowsockstoday · 06/03/2017 12:05

Moo it's not just when pg either. I've. It had any for nearly three years now because my lb can't tolerate it.

Moo31 · 06/03/2017 12:02

Also ladies I read over the weekend that when pg you should limit caffeine intake to two (yes just two!) cups of tea a day Shock - each has 75mg caffeine and the limit is 200mg. Also equiv to 1 cup of coffee (although I am not a coffee drinker). I always thought tea had much less caffeine than coffee so this shocked me! I drink at least 5 cups a day, some days nearer to 10 so if I had known that before now I would have started on the decaf and weaned myself off the full-caf stuff gently!

Moo31 · 06/03/2017 11:59

Dolly - I am so with you on that! I said to OH I know I shouldn't but I am just so worried something will go wrong and when will I stop worrying? He said I guess when we have the little bundle in our arms! Fx for smooth pregnancies with no issues!

Welcome back EMHW Glad you have caught your ov - pesky little egg!! Fx for your bfp this month now that you have your timings all figured out :)

Just checked the list to see who is testing today? Salem and Jen keep us posted!

Also Charley and Hippy are you both holding out or have you cracked out the pee sticks today?

I am about to burst with excitement for the next BFPs!!! Grin

Hippychic79 · 06/03/2017 11:53

Hi Magpie - think we cross posted there. Fair play to you for giving up sugar... #respect

Amanda - you’re welcome for the tips, don’t go overboard on the pineapple though 😊 And thank you for saying this thread is lovely, I think so too, we’re lucky to have found each other! I think a few of us have been on other threads and felt it was all a bit ‘clicky’ … this thread is so different, whilst its sometimes difficult to scroll back on our phones and answer everyone – we do try our best 😉 . Sorry to hear about your MMC. I know what you mean about trying not to talk about it – I’ve stupidly told one too many friends and family, so they were asking me quite regularly whether I’m upduffed, but I’ve had to explain that I don’t want them to ask me anymore and have had to assure them that they I will let them know in good time… wish I’d kept my bleeding mouth shut to be honest!

MummyM Welcome to thread PMA, of course you can hop on, everyone is welcome here. I think getting a heads up and tracking your cycles is absolutely the right thing to do. I’m a big fan of the Baby Making Bible book by Emma Cannon (sorry to bore the rest of you, who already know this) and she advocates a pre 4 month pregnancy plan. Love the comment about DH not being able to walk properly 😊 Reference the cod liver once pg, my naturopath has advised that I will have to stop all supplements except the pregnancy multivit once I’m upduffed.

Archies We miss you when you disappear, and love having you back 😉

Good Morning Dolly You ride that high my friend …. PMA all the way for the next 9 months! Hope your night shifts aren’t too tiring.

EMH Welcome back 😊 I was so pleased to read your post, hopefully that’s what’s been holding you back and your BFP is just round the corner.

Morning everyone. Dolly don't worry about cramps and twinges - completely normal. When I had my DS I had cramps for several weeks until it all calmed down.

MrsB - you must be soo confused with that long cycle. Are you sure that the marathon training hasn't affected you? I have read that a lot of exercise can do. Good job on doing the marathon though. I have managed a half but not sure I could do a full one!

Can't wait to see some more BFPs this week. #comeondoreens.

I think I am just starting fertile week. CM is changing but forgot to do my OPK today.

This month we are doing SMEP so due to dtd tmrw. Have also been eating really healthily - no sugar, no alcohol, so will see if that helps. I had a sugar hangover last week but feeling much better now.

I have been taking the Boots conception vitamins for a few months now and hope they are doing some good. They could be the reason my cycle has regulated itself anyway. Mybe I was deficient in something before? Who knows?!

Dollydaydream2829 · 06/03/2017 11:44

Aww I know, it's a really lovely group to be part of! We've been so lucky and feels more like friends rather than an Internet group!
I was lucky enough to get my BFP on Friday just past after 3 cycles of NTNP and then three further cycles of properly OPKing and charting. So, I should prob be leaving for pastures new but this group is too lovely for me to leave and fortunately the ladies are happy for me to stay!

EMHW123 · 06/03/2017 11:22

Thanks Dolly!! Tried to go it alone without chatting to all you lovely ladies but it's so much harder! The sheer loveliness of everyone on this board really has cheered me up in the past so glad to be here again!

My stats are
Age 34
Ttc 1
Cycle 6
Bfp due 25th march or there abouts!

When are you due your bfp?!

The early ovulation thing now makes a bit more sense!

Hats off to you ladies working in maternity roles!

Loving the Doreen chat! 😂 reminds me of the ad "Doreen loves soreen!"

Dollydaydream2829 · 06/03/2017 11:09

Hi EMHW - welcome back!
That's good news about catching your early ovulation!! Hopefully that's what's been standing in your way of your BFP and now you've caught it, this will be your month?! When is your BFP due??

Yeah it must be difficult with everyone asking amanda - people prob mean well but it must feel like added pressure! My work don't know yet, I'm going to tell my SCN next week after my nights. I also work in a maternity ward so had endless supply to tests which was a blessing and a curse! It's also pretty hard as we have a lot of women that are suffering miscarriages/ectopics in early pregnancy so it makes you immediately worry!

AmandaP86x · 06/03/2017 10:58

@dolly going to try my hardest this week not to talk about it I'm not even telling anyone that I am waiting on my period. This is my third month since MMC. Most people know I'm trying so trying to kinda off not speak about it the now. I work in the maternity so PG test r in abundance 😭😭😭😭😭 I'll just need to resist all temptation. I don't like this is my month but if not means I can have a go at the SMEP thing. Every cloud 🙄

Oh hope ur nights go ok. I was the same when I was pregnant last time felt constantly hungover!! Just make sure u get a good break 😊 Does ur work know????

Just ordered a wee thermometer & some new CB OPK for next month xxx

EMHW123 · 06/03/2017 10:47

Hi everyone,

Can I rejoin? I just can't stay away! Thought I'd be better not stressing but the trying not to stress stresses me out😂

Congrats to the bfps! 😃

Just wanted to share my learning from this month..... I've been a 30-33day cycle and so all opks advise testing from cd13 onwards.... last month didn't get a smiley at all which left me feeling really sad and so the plan was this month just shag a lot and see what happened.

In true form my obsession of poas got the better of me so decided to start cheap opk from end of period- turns out I'm ovulating a week earlier than I thought and a week before the apps were saying! Got my peak on cd12.

Anyway just wanted to share incase anyone else may be in the same boat.

Good luck to everyone in the 2ww. 😘

Dollydaydream2829 · 06/03/2017 10:34

Also, welcome *MummysMaison! Good luck with the charting and getting to know your cycle!

Dollydaydream2829 · 06/03/2017 10:33

Good morning ladies, hope everyone is well and symptom spotting their way through the 2ww or positioned with their LS gearing up for fertile week Wink
Anyone testing today?
Thanks for the info archies - it's always reassuring that it has been normal for at least one person!
Hippy I feel like I'm still on a high too, although still fairly disbelieving of it all. Wonder if it'll take until an actual baby is in my arms before I believe it?! Haha!
FX your TWW goes in fast amanda - are you going to wait til the 13th to test or test early?
I'm gearing up for a week of nightshifts, starting tonight. Considering one of my only symptoms is fatigue, I'm dreading what I'm going to be like on these nights! I'm a zombie at the best of times and that's before I got my BFP!! Haha!

MummysMaison · 06/03/2017 10:33

Thanks Archies Grin

I'm also taking folic acid and cod liver oil (not sure on the last one if its ok for when pregnant).

I worry for DH as I know how obsessed i'm going to get with this! He won't be able to walk properly Wink

ArchiesMamaBird · 06/03/2017 10:30

Welcome MummysMaison. Charting your BBT and checking CM is such a good idea. I've been doing it for a few months now and I feel so much more in tune with my body, and more in control of my fertility now. And being pro-active makes me feel so much more positive each month

ArchiesMamaBird · 06/03/2017 10:29

Anna Yes everyone is so lovely on this thread. I sometimes don't post for a few days but then everyone welcomes you back like you've never been away Smile

MummysMaison · 06/03/2017 10:28

Hello,

Can I join all you lovely ladies?

My situation is a strange one. My DH had a vasectomy 12 years ago and is booked in for reversal in June Grin. Once that is done we will be actively TTC. I know nothing is guaranteed but we have been told he has a 84% change the reversal will work.

Until then I have ordered OPKS, thermometer and a chart and thought I might try and get ahead and track my cycles to see when i'm ovulating. I already have 2 DDs from my previous marriage 11&8.

AmandaP86x · 06/03/2017 10:23

Honestly this thread is so lovely
Iv been on another one for a few months and they barely acknowledged me 😞

AmandaP86x · 06/03/2017 10:23

I kno fingers crossed!! Every day u wake up without AF is great lol. Last night me & DH went to work out like how far on I would be at a certain time in the year but then went no this will jinx it and didn't bother 😭🙈

It's terrible that you want to fast forward time.

Thanks for all the TTC tips. I love pineapple so il get wired into that today. Been taking pregnacare for months now too. Not had a drink in a few weeks either just the odd glass of wine.

Trying to still exercise too. But my nightshifts have been flinging me all over the place 😭

Hippychic79 · 06/03/2017 09:11

Rainbow No need to go it alone – we’re all here to support each other. Welcome aboard. You seem keen to understand additional things that you can do to aid TTC, I would recommend acupuncture and or reflexology and maybe an appointment with a naturopath who will be able to assess you as an individual and will let you know if you need any additional herbs and supplements. On a basic level, I assume you are taking folic acid – always worth investing in a good brand (Cytoplan or Nutriadvanced are good) and maybe a pregnancy multivitamin, again a good brand like Cytoplan or Nutriadvanced. In terms of DTD, I think every other day is recommended. I have read a lot of books and see a naturopath and have not heard of agnus castus or rec clover. I’ve read on here that evening primrose oil can help to increase CM, but preseed is also a good aid for this and provides instant results. I am no expert, I just read a lot about ttc – ultimately you need to do what feels right for you. I use the clear blue digital OPK’s too as I find them easier to read as they give you a definitive answer.

Rainbow Do it – write an online book …. I’ll proof read it for you 😊 Loving the pic

Salem As I ovulated slightly later this month, my BFP is now due on 11 or 12th. Do not worry about re-doing the list, I’ll just mentally move myself down a few places, I’m a day behind Anna

Thank you Cakes for saying we’re fab – we love you too. Loving your PMA – whoop whoop

Dolly and Moo - still riding the wave of your BFP’s…. and thank you for staying with us… some of the mums amongst us can help with answering questions and the rest of us will ask you questions lol.

Charley Sorry to hear about your BFN, fx it was just too early!

Soph I love the body balance class, you’ve just reminded me that I need to get my ass back to it… thank you.

Amanda You’re symptoms sound promising and 13 is a lucky number so fingers crossed for you hun

MrsB I hope the nurse can shed some light on what’s going on with your cycles. In terms of age – my friend is 42 and baby bombed me on Friday… so I don’t think it’s your age.

Anna Are you waiting it out? Or are you planning on testing? If you’re gonna test – which day you thinking?

Phase Looks like you ovulated Saturday night / Sunday morning – I think that’s what happened to me last week after I went POAS OPK crazy 😊 The CB OPK’s are expensive but I think they’re worth it – it’s lush to see the smiley face, for a split second you almost think you’re pregnant!

Bella Love your style – that bath looks just heaven. You should have a stonking week ahead now

Midget Fingers crossed you just tested too early and your BFP is just being shy!

Archies Thank you for sharing your pg insight, I find these really helpful even though I’m still waiting for my BFP #gottalovethe2ww

I found this for us all today...

Rainbowsockstoday · 06/03/2017 07:24

Cakesalot the spider goes everywhere and gets wet, dirty, muddy, food on, sneezed on and generally a bit gross. So I have her twin sister who steps in whilst she has a special bath with dettol laundry cleaner!

Omg I actually have loads of tips for being a FTP I think DH and I should write an online book of cheats! The reason they are called cheats is every brilliant parent will tell you there are no rules or instructions to babies and children... but there are loads of sneaky cheats 😆

CakesALot · 06/03/2017 07:06

I'm with you rainbow. We have 3 versions of dds comforter!!

Itsjustaphase84 · 06/03/2017 06:46

@bella I tempted to get the cb opks. I might use them next cycle but Im going to get my bfp this month Grin PMA!!!

@rainbow I try to avoid fmu as I read that your LH concentration is naturally higher in mornings. I test mid am, afternoon any time and 7pm ish. So 3/4 times a day once I get ewcm. I do it that often to see how long the surge lasts.

Although I can only speculate when I ov'd exactly
