we are food twinnies as i'm the exact same @EMHW123 i think you'd like slimming world as it encourages you to eat, and loads of it. just all the right stuff xx

what a fecking day iv had guys... that prosecco last night sure did kick my ass this morn 🙈 BAD. IDEA. BELLA!!!! #neveragain

will catch up on the thread once iv made my SW pea and ham soup - remember the soup i was supposed to make yesterday but got drunk instead #imsuchaloser

love having some comments to catch up on over a cuppa - oh and i haven't had any coffee today. decided i'd go cold turkey as it was getting way out of hand! had my raspberry leaf tea though, it was lovely 😊

Rainbowsockstoday · 06/03/2017 17:08

So we have been to the dr about ttc and they were naff all help 😆 generally told us that they will refer us for tests but can't say when they will come through and to use contraception in the mean time so we aren't having tests like X-rays when in early undetectable pregnancy. I asked how long that would be and he said "only 5-6mths on the list till an appointment. But you might be sooner or might be later. Just use protection till then" errrrrrr no!

EMHW123 · 06/03/2017 17:08

Hi charley thanks for the welcome back! Like archies I've also read it's a sign!

Fingers crossed!

magpie so glad you said about the coffee! I can't do without my morning one! I get a headache otherwise!!

bella I'm a massive carb addict!! Love pasta and bread! It doesn't love me so try to have gluten free and do majority scratch cooking.... my problem(s) 1) take away -at least once a week (2) cider/beer well if I'm pregnant I'll obviously drop a stone ( oh no wait I did dry Jan and put on weight! 🙈) (3) portion size..... swapped to smaller plate... now have 2 plates of dinner 😂😂😂 man alive!!

I just want people to see my tummy and think ah she's pregnant not ahh she's had pasta for lunch 😂😂

BellaMoon · 06/03/2017 17:00

yes yes YES @EMHW123 as soon as we decided to TTC i instantly became worried about my weight - i'm following Slimming World and loving all the fresh recipes that i cook from scratch. i'm not a processed food fan (apart from a takeaway) so it encourages all your fresh fruit/veg etc that's good for baby making too xx

MissMagpie · 06/03/2017 16:59

Tea-loving ladies, I wouldn't worry too much. Just don't go overboard with the tea. I changed to decaf when pregnant and couldn't taste the difference. In fact I often still drink decaf, especially in the evenings. And that was after I had to give up tea for a few weeks because I couldn't stand the taste or smell in my first trimester. It was really weird!

I love my coffee and always drank that through pregnancy but limited it to two small ones a day at most. Caffeine can decrease birth weight but I still had a 9lb-er!

Dollydaydream2829 · 06/03/2017 16:55

Thanks EMWH
Oh charley don't let that PMA slide! I did EXACTLY the same as you in terms of expecting my AF to arrive so when it didn't, I'd gotten so ready to ease my disappointment and ready myself for the BFN that when I got my BFP, I didn't know what the hell to do! If it helps, I defo had a huge increase in creamy CM before I got my BFP. To the point where I dashed to the loo as I thought AF had started a couple times!

Charley2016 · 06/03/2017 16:52

Thanks hippy 😘

Charley2016 · 06/03/2017 16:52

Really Archie? Off to google like a maniac haha! Although it seems to be back to white at last inspection....

ArchiesMamaBird · 06/03/2017 16:47

Charley I've heard that creamy and yellow CM can be a sign of pregnancy!! So FX Smile

Hey EMH - it's all of our thread, not mine... you lovely ladies make it as awesome as it is! I take zinc supplements in addition to the pregnancy multivit and i give zinc to my dp too - help his doreen's :)

I've had a pineapple a day for the last two days, and got another lined up for tomorrow... I have to juice mine, munching through the core is too much for me ;)
I love Yorkshire Decaf too - I usually drink Clipper as its organic but they don't sell clipper decaf in my local sainsburys :(

Salem I hope the witch had stayed away today?

Hippy yay for half way through the TWW!

Amanda I'm so sorry to hear about your MC but well done on having such a positive outlook on things! I really hope you get your BFP soon.

Moo don't worry about the tea! I'm sure you'll manage the switch to decafe no problem. I stayed away from the pee sticks today but I've just bought some because I'm an idiot!

Archie and EM welcome back ladies! Glad to see you both! Good luck for this month!

Dolly as everyone else said, twinges are totally normal and nothing to worry about! Hope you're feeling ok.

Magpie sounds like you've been super good! Well done on the amazing will power and good luck with the SMEP.

My PMA is slipping ladies. Think i need a kick up the backside! Not that I'm even upset or down, I think I've just gone in to self preservation mode by telling myself AF will appear soon. In an attempt at PMA though, I have today convinced myself that I can smell everything more, (banana from the kitchen and baby wipes from another separate room too). I also feel quite wet (sorry) and noticed quite a bit of creamy CM but it seems to be yellow! No idea what that's about! My nipples are agony too but that's very normal for my few days before AF!

EMHW123 · 06/03/2017 16:15

Wow Dolly amazing! Congrats! Yay! Over the moon for you!! moo did you get your BFP too?! Eeeek! 🎉🎉🎉

Hippie your thread and you guys were keeping me going even though I hadn't commented for weeks. So I must say thanks! 😘

My GP best friend was saying zinc is a key nutrient I should be including as a supplement.... I'm also currently chomping through the core of a frigging 🍍🍍ha!

On the caffeine front I've majorly reduced mine! I ❤Tea! The decaf Yorkshire is good and so is the twinnings early grey! Sleeping much better as a result.

Is it crazy to be thinking I need to shift some weight before baby?! I'm a 12/14 all my weight around my middle (think apple on a stick) want to be slim 12.... anyone else thinking the same?!

Hippychic79 · 06/03/2017 15:49

Yeah I'm 7 dpo today, so half way through :)

Amanda thank you for clarifying FH and EPU.

We are made of strong stuff us women ... we'll get there soon just got to stay positive

Sorry hippy NTNP = Not trying, Not preventing. Basically I was off the pill and weren't using contraception but we weren't actively trying at that point for conception. Having fun!
salem that bloody witch (no pun intended!!) better have stayed away!!
Thanks for the link cakes - some foods on there I didn't realise to avoid! I LOVE fish!!
moo I'm a bit of a tea jenny as well - been limiting my cups to one cup a day. I don't drink coffee, fizzy juice and I don't like chocolate (call me a woman?!) But I'm struggling with the tea.... especially when I go to start my nights!! It's the only thing that usually gets me through!

AmandaP86x · 06/03/2017 15:40

@hippy oh so we must both be on 2ww then???

FH - fetal heart & EPU - early pregnancy unit!! So means I would get scan 6 weeks and 9/10 weeks I think.

That was my first pregnancy so it is just so common unfortunately 😞 Just keep thinking ok it was so easy first time why not this time. Defo prob won't cave - I feel
Like looking at the test is worse than AF don't ask me why or how but they are prob just both as awful 😞 Christ it's a tough gig being a women xxxz

BellaMoon · 06/03/2017 14:43

oh nooo @SalemTheTeenageWitch tell the bitch to bugger off #throatpunchAF

CakesALot · 06/03/2017 13:56

I hate to tell you moo but chocolate has caffeine in too. If you're concerned about what to have, it's worth looking at the NHS pages about what and what not to have during pregnancy. I remember finding that lots of things I'd been told I couldn't eat we're actually ok. Good to get facts from a reliable source!

Hope that af isn't lurking salem, surely she got the memo that she's not welcome?!

Hippychic79 · 06/03/2017 13:54

Moo It’s hard to know what to say, I want to say – try not to worry, but I’m sure I would be worrying too so I’m conscious of sounding like a hypocrite…. So all I will say is #PMA #healthy9monthpregnancy I’m only 7DPO today so not point in POAS just yet… I’m hoping to hold off to be honest but we’ll see how that goes! Thank you for the caffeine information, I’ve read this too…. #whataremengivingup #lifeisntalwaysfair

Amanda What is FH and EPU please? You’re right its amazing how aware of your body you are when your ttc. I always wondered why I got EWCM every month, now I know 😊 Glad I’m not the only one grabbing my boobies twenty times a day! Let us know if you cave and POAS 😊

Dolly What is NTNP please?

Salem Echo what Anna said. If it is her – do what you need to do, scream , cry, shout…. But after you’ve done that, be kind to yourself…. You’re not doing anything wrong…. Great things take time xxx

Mummy Hope you enjoy the book – I often refer to it as these ladies know. I also recommend the spinach & watercress soup recipe which I now have twice a week, its delicious.

Archies Well said hun

ArchiesMamaBird · 06/03/2017 13:24

Oh Salem, FX it's not AF. But I know how disheartening it is. We're going on 10 months now, and have done SMEP some months, other months we've relaxed and not been obsessively checking CM/OPK's, and other months we've done it every day from AF to after OV. And we still haven't made it yet.

It's just a game of odds, there's only that 20-25% chance each month that you will conceive, so if this isn't your month then keep going and it will happen.

MummysMaison · 06/03/2017 13:06

Hippy would you believe I ordered the book yesterday Grin I was slightly stalking this thread and saw it mentioned so thought why not!

Oh Salem Sad don't give in. PMA!

Moo caffeine will be hard for me to ditch! I've recently given up Coke which i enjoyed now and again.

Thanks for all the welcomes. Seems real now, surgery date confirmed today, 19th June. Is it here yet?? Wink

Anna2006 · 06/03/2017 12:42

Oh no Salem!! Best not be the witch!! Dammit!

8DPO here. Aiming to test 11DPO earliest I think..not feeling any symptoms though which concerns me!

Welcomes to the new comers!

Rainbowsockstoday · 06/03/2017 12:37

My DH and I had a chat about baby making and why it's not happening. I said it was probably me and I'm trying harder this month to be healthy and improve our chances. He said "might not be you. Might be me. Maybe the lads know what happened last time they did a good job and are scared to come out!" 😆 our DS is adorable but a little bit odd! He's the one obsessed with rainbow socks!

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 06/03/2017 12:36

Shouldn't really be posting whilst I am at work but I think Ive just started spotting which means the bitch is probably on her way. I don't understand how it didn't work, there were Doreen's left, right and centre!!! What more can I do?!?Sad

Ps hope everyone is ok xx
