Thanks hippy! Just tested again though and back to definite negative! Jeeze!! If this wasn't such a head fuck I'd be laughing! Will try and get a good shag in anyway... 😂

The no sleep with little ones ladies does sound really tough going, not every child is the same so that bullshit my child is 6 months and sleeps for 13hrs because I've trained him is utter tripe. You sound like fabulous mummies, keep you head held high.

To be honest we don't have a "quickie" type of sex life either and we don't have a little one to hamper our efforts.... only BT sports and too many pints! 😆

MummysMaison · 07/03/2017 16:19

Hippy we live in France so we spent a week in a England followed by a week at Disneyland Paris! Bloody hard going, we walked 41 miles. I can't begin to imagine how much weight I would have put on in addition to the half a stone if we hadn't been moving so much!

We've had confirmation from the clinic for DHs reversal now. I'm taking the fact that's It's the day after Father's Day as a good sign!

sarahboro1 · 07/03/2017 16:12

Wow ladies you were on page 12 when I left you last night!! 😂

So it's cd5 here, af has gotten the message and done one 👍🏻 So I've ordered some preseed and a supplement for hubby!! Should be here Friday so we can get practising before fw!! (Although I have not officially returned after going on strike yet, 3weeks without dtd!!! 😩 Xx

Sophsta · 07/03/2017 15:39

This thread moves so quickly, every time I check in there's a new page!

rainbow I don't know how you do it. I know that my and DH need our sleep otherwise we are horrible human beings. God knows what will happen when we do conceive!

anna I can't imagine what you're going through. It must be so tough to maintain that pma. Fx for you.

I feel like I'm in limbo at the moment. Don't know when my periods will return to normal and not quite in my fw if that was a period when I stopped taking the pill. Feels a bit like we started on a high and now we've stalled.

Rainbowsockstoday · 07/03/2017 15:10

@archiesmamabird he's not really that type of person. He goes to bed later than me too so it's a battle of me staying awake versus munchkin staying asleep!

Anna2006 · 07/03/2017 15:06

Thanks Hippy 😘😘

@Amanda sucks doesn't it. I was due end of April..which is fastly approaching

ArchiesMamaBird · 07/03/2017 14:55

rainbow Is there any chance you can get him to sleep then just jump on DH downstairs? This is what I have resorted to some nights during the FW when DS is being niggly. We just grab the chance when and where we can, even if we're exhausted!

Hippychic79 · 07/03/2017 14:44

anna it will happen soon I'm sure ....,
Come on.... you got this 😘

rainbow do you have any family that dc can stay the night with so you can have a date night ?

Rainbowsockstoday · 07/03/2017 14:29

@archiesmamabird thank you for understanding. I'd love to let him sleep in with me and occasionally he will but he cries for milk all night and no one gets any sleep. I'm going to have a chat and tell him that the bottle fairy is coming to see him and that she needs the bottles for other babies. Every bottle he leaves out for the fairy I'm going to give him a shiny coin. I thought this might help because he's obsessed with the tooth fairy coming to give him a coin for his teeth but he doesn't like it that he's too young to lose teeth so maybe this will work. I don't know. Just know I can't go much longer with only a couple of hours sleep!

AmandaP86x · 07/03/2017 14:15

@anna we must be same. My baby was due end of May. I defo thought it would happen again quickly!

ArchiesMamaBird · 07/03/2017 14:14

Rainbow Ugh I can't stand all the perfect MN mums who's toddlers have been sleeping through since 3 weeks old blah blah blah. I've read an amazing book by Sarah Ockwell-Smith called 'The Gentle Sleep Book' which basically explains that children haven't physically got the ability to sleep through until the age of 4, and there's new research to show that sleep training (ie leaving your child to cry) is so bad for children as they grow up (they have emotional/relationship/trust issues). She suggests letting your toddler sleep in your room/bed if that is what they want and need, or you sleeping with them in their room. My DS is quite sensitive and such a Mommy's Boy and sleeps so much better in bed with us. I know it doesn't work for everyone, but you just need to find the solution that suits you family best Smile

Rainbowsockstoday · 07/03/2017 13:58

Struggling with pma and wondering if it's worth it as my current DC is being a struggle at night (means no sleep which is bad for ttc and no DTD which is worse). Plus when I asked on mn about help with sleep loads of other people made out like I was a crappy mum for allowing him to get to 2 without teaching him to sleep! Need a sleep solution by Thursday night or Friday latest so dh and I can do our thing!

Anna2006 · 07/03/2017 13:58

Thank you Hippy your right. I need to try not compare. Above realistic but try keep a bit of hope.
I have done it once and it WILL happen again. Only time will tell.

@Charley2016 I am on cycle 4 ATM (technically cycle 5 since mc with unprotected sex) but we didn't go at it the first month as I was meant to wait for first AF before trying. It's been 5 months since we lost the baby though, time just seems to be slipping away. I thought I would be pregnant by now 😂😩 how naive of me!

Never mind! Onwards and upwards. Maybe I'm due a xmas baby lol x

Hippychic79 · 07/03/2017 13:26

Charley - the soup is delicious, it's spinach & watercress, i recommend it.

FX the bitchy witch stays away... but i always think if she's coming - 'come early and then fack off so i can get onto the next cycle'....

I know it's hard hun, but try not to compare it....
okay I'll give you a silly example.... every week i cook the same stew in the same way with exactly the same ingredients ..... it tastes slightly different each week and i have no idea why, it's just a mystery. OK so I am trying to lighten things up here .... is it working?

PMA for Anna

  1. You've done it once, you can do it again
  2. You're DH is on board with TTC and you are able to talk to him about it
  3. You have a cool cycle buddy

Don't think glass half empty ... think glass half full ....

If we're calling sperm Doreen .... what shall we call eggs?

Anna meant to be tomorrow but I think she will make an appearance today. I've heard lots of people having completely different symptoms in each pregnancy so try not to stress hun. What cycle are you on now?

Hippy soup looks lush. Never tried watercress soup before, need to give it a go.

Anna2006 · 07/03/2017 13:02

I know Hippy. I'm trying!! It's so hard when you have something to compare it to.

Had a chat with DH this morning & he agreed it's equally shit we haven't been lucky again yet and agreed we can try some pre seed next month to see if that makes any difference.

My thinking is his swimmers might be getting there anyway so could not make a difference. Maybe my eggs are just duff - only like 50% of our eggs are any good supposedly. What good is that!! I need a good egg to pop out!

Hippychic79 · 07/03/2017 12:55

Anna Try not to get disheartened by your lack of symptoms... from what I've read and ascertained from my friends with kids, not having symptoms is equally as common. Common on cycle buddy .... let's graduate Saturday :)

Cakes I do like a chai latte, good choice

Anna2006 · 07/03/2017 12:43

@Charley2016. Boo at the negative test! Hate the stark white ones! When are you expecting her majesty to arrive?

9DPO - no symptoms to report. Boobs are not sore like they were with my first pregnancy at this stage so always sign myself off - actually relieves some anxiety to already think ahead on next month. I'm just waiting out for AF on Saturday I think..

Charley2016 · 07/03/2017 12:33

Oops!! Sorry on my phone. Just saw the blue and the ones I normally see/use are blue for pregnancy and green for OPK.
