It's great to see the commitment everyone is making to this ttc malarkey. We will be rewarded soon. I sometimes struggle with the PMA - we are in cycle 9 and been tracking ovulation with opks for 4 cycles. 11 friends have announced pregnancy since I started trying which can get hard to take. I'm 34, already have a 2yo, healthy weight, exercise, good diet but still...nothing. My time will come. CD14 here and first flashing smiley today. Have dtd and now waiting for my static smiley for the 3 days in a row marathon. Hoping sperm really does meet egg this time - and implants and sticks!

Rose my DS was unplanned and he was due Xmas Eve. He ended up arriving on 29th Dec. I love having a Christmas baby, it's such a magical time of year. And for the last 3 years we've had a little tea party at home on his actual birthday, and so many people come, it's lovely! Everyone seems to be off work and schools are off, and I think it's that lull between Christmas Day and NYE where the kids are getting a bit fed up, so all the parents jump at the chance at coming along to a party. My friends DS was born xmas day, and she does a Wacky Warehouse/soft play party a few days later, and again it's great to have a break away from all the toys at home and let DS burn off some of that festive excitement!

aww bless him! I have the same balance in my relationship! My other half is a 100% realist, I'm always a hundred miles an hour and the risk taker, I've a bit of a "ah fuck it" attitude- surprised I never got pregnant in my teens come to think of it 😂😂

Anna my gp pal didn't test positive until she was a week over due! Always a possibility 😘

Just realised I'm due my bfp on Mother's Day! Ha! That would be a turn up for the books!

I want to think if something inventive to tell DH when I'm pregnant again. We've just had such a shit time it will be the best thing ever!

Thanks Dolly on the heads up for not counting myself out yet! It's very hard to compare from a pregnancy when I felt very pregnant from early on..but here's to hoping.

I have heard if you implant earlier your HCG rises quicker so quicker symptoms. An if it does it later it rises slower. So could explain why some ppl get symptoms and others miss their period and never suspect pregnancy..

He was so shocked that he turned round and walked into the cupboard door! Haha! It sunk in after a minute or two and he was dead happy but said the line was too faint for him to fully believe it! He's defo the realist in our relationship! As you can prob tell by my name, I'm a bit of a daydreamer, optimistic person Haha!

I was in total shock with my BFP so I didn't tell my DH until that evening! It gave me time to prepare and with the help of the suggestions of the lovely ladies on here I got a cuddly toy and a teeny tiny babygro along with the test - see the pic! Sorry to the ladies that I've already bored with this! Haha!

So back in the PMA I decided to buy a presentation box for the babygrow football jersey for my other half..... excited! I've hidden it all away though don't want to jinx myself again! 🙈

Hippy im on cycle 34/4 i think, this month my due date would be my birthday.I do and don't like the Chirstmas baby idea, but just from a practical point of view i don't think its a great time to give birth. And it would suck a bit for the baby as good luck getting a birthday party together around christmas.

Rainbow i know what you mean i've posted on even some of the off topic boards and the replies have been super judgemental and twisted. The conception board seems like one of the nicest though i have seen the odd person post a nasty comment. I used to run a large forum to do with dogs and it was a nightmare with everyone upsetting each other, tried to have loads of rules to try to keep it friendly and peaceful but if you think about it for every 10 nice people you meet theres generally one A hole.

Lucky you archie - hopefully I'm the same, purely because it'll be an absolute nightmare keeping it from work, especially work folk, if I end up doing things like that all the time! Haha !
Thanks amanda - the only way I worked out how many DPO I was was from using the OPKs so I counted it from the day after my first positive. They say on a standard cycle, AF should start 14 days post ovulation but everyone's cycle differs.

Dolly I didn't have any morning sickness at all with DS (well I had about 2 occasions when I felt sick, but never brought anything up). So I'm not sure how early it starts I'm afraid. But I know that it normally subsides by 12 weeks, so if you do get it, hopefully it won't be for long

Aww maybe then love. Have a weird crampy pain but not like cramp if that makes sense lol.

Sorry the sickness got you dolly! One of the oh so many glam sides of being upduffed!! People tell you it's a magical time,which it totally is,but it's also a crampy,achy, restless, sweaty, pukey time too!

We're a quickies couple most of the time I'm afraid. Also because of a small person and a small house! Makes the odd time we do get to spend more time alone all the more special though.

Sounds like there's a lot of frustrated ladies out there feeling impatient. Sucks when we feel we want to wish the time away! If only you bank time now and use it again later when you don't want to rush through life. Pretty sure that's impossible though!!

amanda that's the tests I use in my work too - when I used my FRER on 12dpo, I got a stronger line on it just about than that test I used from work, 2 days after AF was due. So they're maybe not as sensitive as we're led to believe. So don't be disheartened! Test again nearer the time!

charley sorry for the BFN - you're symptoms sound so promising - maybe you're HCG levels aren't high enough yet to detect, some women don't get their positive until well after AF is due and as many have said before here - you're not out until she rears her ugly head! Same with you archies - FX she doesn't arrive on Sat!

anna I got barely any symptoms before my BFP last week so I thought I was out too! All I had was an increased creamy CM and bloating/cramps (which I fully expected to be AF cramps!) So don't lose hope!

Sarah good luck with the preseed this cycle! I'm sure that did the trick for me!

So, this morning I ended up having a spew on the way home from work!! Can't believe it. I'd been having a tiny bit of nausea now and again but as I left and was walking, got a huge wave and ended up being sick!! It's probably a tiny bit of morning sickness made hugely worse by the fact I was so tired post nightshift, and hadn't eaten that great. No other symptoms to report though!
