Tuxie I've found it really difficult as they don't tend to tell you what mg they look for until you look at instructions. The Ones from Morrisons do look for 15mg which is quite low but they're the only ones I have used whilst TTC.
I'm going to try again tomorrow I think.....I'm driving myself a bit mental with thinking I am pregnant so need either AF or a positive result to sort me out. I'm so tired, boobs sore, only want spicy food as everything else smells disgusting to me.....but could just be my mind playing tricks!

tuxie11 · 27/02/2017 11:55

What would you recommend clacton?
I'm now 5 days late from my last cycle anyway, and I've had two negatives with FRERSad

Clacton · 27/02/2017 11:48

Just be careful with the little sticks from Poundland/Asda. I got BFN off those when I was actually pregnant - I wouldn't trust again!

tuxie11 · 27/02/2017 11:46

No makes sense - I couldn't bare spending another 10-20£!

Same here, I just want to knooooow. I'd rather my AF turn up or a test is positive. It's bloody horrible this limboland, much worse than I thought. I swear it just makes you so aware of how much you want it too!

Clacton · 27/02/2017 11:46

I used a bog standard Morrisons but it looks for less than 15 so thought that was quite accurate?? Anyway, I think I pissed all over it in an early morning haze so may try again tomorrow by peeing in a cup.

I'm not sure where I'm up to in my cycle as didn't have a bleed after implant removal so I'm purely taking guesses from my body's reaction. I felt ovulation around 15th and 16th so hoping I caught it at the right time and testing now would be ok right?

So confusing all of this isn't it!

MistyBxx · 27/02/2017 11:37

I've never had a bfp of course so I don't actually know haha 😂 but I just think if you can save some pennies, may as well :)
I'm 11dpo today and feel really bored lol I just want this af out of the way now!x

tuxie11 · 27/02/2017 11:35

Oh really, might get my DH to pop into Poundland after work then! I feel so annoyed I literally pissed away £14 of tests haha. I always thought FRER were one of the best, perhaps not!

Thanks for the reccy x

MistyBxx · 27/02/2017 11:11

TBH all the tests I use are the Poundland sticks lol (pack of 3 for £1!) they pick up hcg in less than 20miU which is pretty accurate (any ones that pick it up in less than 30 are considered good although the FRER pick it up in 6miU so they do sound the best but they have mixed reviews)
But it can get expensive so I tend to buy the cheapies and then if I got a bfp, I'd then go and buy a more expensive one :) x

tuxie11 · 27/02/2017 10:44

misty glad you had a great weekend! sometimes I think it really helps to just chill the hell out and give yourself some fcuk it time!

Thanks for your positivity! I'm not sure what's going on 😞 I get a few AF type cramps then nothing. I don't think I'll bother testing until the end of the week if AF doesn't show. Any recommendations on tests that aren't FRER?

Hope you all have a good Monday - it's miserable here down south!

MistyBxx · 27/02/2017 09:14

Morning girlies!
I've been recovering from the hen do (loved it and had an amazing time, just what I needed!) but I have certainly missed a lot on here lol 😂

Welcome to the newbies!

And I'm sorry Af got you right before your hols kitcat 😔

tuxie I'm excited to see what's happening with you! You're very late! My friend didn't have a home pg test positive for ages and she was pg. don't wanna get your hopes up but it does sound promising!

mrsjkerry and ttc when are you guys testing?

As for myself, I've got sore boobies from 5dpo (normal for me, I've discovered!) I'm due af on Thursday and I've no doubt it will arrive. Quite nice not symptom spotting or being tempted to pee on everything 😂😂

Hope everyone is good. I've got a day off work today and it's hammering down here so I'm still in bed, lovely!

tuxie11 · 27/02/2017 08:53

Clacton that's rubbish - what one did you use?

Clacton · 27/02/2017 06:57

I've been really naughty and done a test! Even though I promised OH I wouldn't. I'm so annoyed the bloody thing didn't even work!!!! Ha teaches me for going behind his back 😔
Hope everyone's week is setting off to a good start - positive thoughts everyone

ttcnovice · 26/02/2017 22:34

Sorry about AF Kit but hope you enjoy your holiday!

Polly85 · 26/02/2017 22:23

Hi everyone...I have been driving DH up the wall with all my TTC talk, we decided to finally start today but have missed most of the window. I'm feeling a bit anxious already, I wanted to do it again but he's not up for it. Gah

HoldTightPretendItsAPlan · 26/02/2017 18:17

Sorry AF has turned up for your holiday Kitcaty.

I've been to a christening today, babies everywhere! I just want to hide from it all.

tuxie11 · 26/02/2017 16:55

That sounds fair. If unsuccessful this cycle I think we would try to just do it as often as possible and see how that plays out before going down that route

mrsjkerry · 26/02/2017 16:46

OPKs are fairly easy once you've done it for a cycle. I tested everyday during my FW and watched them change from 'negative' to an increasingly stronger line 'positive'. When you get a positive reading, you know that you will ovulate within the next 24 hours. I carried on testing to watch the positive line go down so I could really pinpoint the day I ovulated. It gives you peace of mind that you DTD as much as you could around the right time. Obviously, just ditching OPKs and DTD every other day also ensures there's enough sperm in you at any stage in your cycle to meet an egg on its way down!

tuxie11 · 26/02/2017 16:42

Kitcaty - glad she's shown for you though. Sorry it's in time for your holiday though. Can you not regularly DTD to catch O day? I don't know if I could muster the mental aspect of OPKs

tuxie11 · 26/02/2017 16:41

Twisted - wait! I'm so glad I did - I'm now late and had two negatives and it's such a bummer. If I'd have tested from before I was due i would probably be hanging myself (kidding - drowning in chocolate more like!)

Mrsj - you got to take time for you regardless of TTC. Rest up!

My AF pains have gone and I've still got white lotiony CM which I've had since before I was due. I can't remember if this was normal for me as I didnt ever check! My nips are still larger than normal Confused
Read so many stories online of people missing their periods for weeks and getting BFN to find they are 20 weeks gone! This can't be strictly true I swear you would realise?!

The thing I have learnt today is: the internet has no answers (sob)
L

Kitcaty · 26/02/2017 16:39

Oh hello AF :( you bitch, just in time for my holiday. Well now I feel really stupid for doing 3 tests and getting my hopes up. Hope my cycles aren't going to be this long in future. Going to have to start OPKs if my cycles don't settle down or won't have a clue when I'm ovulating

Twistedsister7 · 26/02/2017 16:34

No judgement here MrsJ. Just remember it's way early & no one is out until the red lady sings!

I'm still hoping as my skin has gone crazy & still little blobs of clear cm. but I'm trying to not get toooo hopeful.

It's the last day of my hot tub holiday, home tomorrow. Trying to not go buy a test as af due Wednesday!!

mrsjkerry · 26/02/2017 14:12

I am so exhausted. Been out of bed for 30 minutes and think I will just go back to sleep. Other than sore boobs that's my only symptom. And it's pretty explainable as my week just gone was extremely long.

OP posts:
tuxie11 · 26/02/2017 13:35

Don't feel too hard mrsj, it is early. Keep your FX for next week. I think I've got some AF pains, I'm hoping so anyway. I'd kinda just like to get this cycle over with so I can chill out about next month!

Kitcaty · 26/02/2017 13:25

It's hard to resist sometimes isn't it. Doesn't mean it'll be BFN again in a week though :)

mrsjkerry · 26/02/2017 13:07

Can't believe I got sucked into it. My (pregnant) friend convinced me I could pick up a BFP on a pregnancy test, despite being a week away from AF. Predictably, it was negative. Feeling like an idiot.
