TTC - First Time! (2)

Haha I dunno how people have the time for twice a day! Am normally out of the house between half 7 am and half 7 pm during the week and that's if I don't go to the gym after work!

Haha mrsjkerry I bet your man loved that! I'm reading mixed things as sometimes articles say to do it every other day to give the sperm a change to mature and get stronger and that's what we've done up until now, every 2 or 3 days. But maybe we'll try every day this month

Yeah the ewcm keeps them alive. And it must be possible to have that stuff in there even if you don't see it. That's what I'm relying on anyway as only seen it once! But then when I was on the pill I wasn't ovulating of course, hence wasn't seeing it...

Misty if it was from 5 days then it's more likely to be a girl I think! Awww

Am gonna keep weeing on sticks just to make sure I know when ov is likely to happen (although to a certain extent that's BS anyway as Misty you never had a +ve from them this month!)but I think I'm not gonna tell DP when it's prime baby time as it just seems to pile the pressure on (understandably). Hmm in fact maybe I should tell him it's prime baby time during random days when it's really not! Then if he gets the fear at the time then it doesn't matter! Ha!

I wasn't taking anything, only folic acid which I've been forgetting to take so I HAVE to get back into that. And I didn't get a positive opk alllllll month. Got a faint line for a couple of days, but nothing that the instructions considered positive. But did feel cramps and lots of ewcm in the days before ov day. Dtd 5 days before ov, 2 days before ov (but he didn't squirt lol) and then the morning after ov, the last one being the one I imagine worked? Unless all the ewcm I was having kept the swimmers alive for 5 days x

Were any of you taking supplements while TTC?

Wow! Three of you 😍 that's great and really good that you're all around the same number of weeks. Are all your partners upto speed now? I'm slightly jealous haha as was 7 days late this month and really thought I was pregnant until AF showed up in time to put a downer on my holiday!
Well I'm home now and can start trying again in about two weeks although I may buy OPKs this month as after last month have no idea if O is when I expect.

Yeah I don't get that, like I'm only 2 days late so how could I have conceived 2-3 weeks ago. Right I'm gonna get off here for a bit coz have to get ready to go out with my sis and nephews in a bit so will catch up with you all later. Thanks for the congrats, it's still sinking in.

My colleague never had a home bfp and ended up begging doc for a blood test! So nobody is out til the red lady sings!

Speaking of docs... when do I make an appointment?? Does anyone know?x

Twisted let's just hope you're one of those who doesn't get a BFP until they're really, really late! This is the lucky month so fx it's rubbed off on you too 🤞🏼

Ttc Im using Morrisons ones which are supposed to be 99% accurate on day after missed period xx

Twisted what tests are you using? Could it be that they aren't sensitive enough? You're not out yet so fx!

Charl I was tempted to test this morning after waking up to all these BFPs . I'm only 10DPO at the most though so will hold out until Monday I think!

Don't rule anything out phibbs anything is possible xx and hopefully in a few days you will have a bfp twisted xx

Misty amazing congrats!! You're making me want to get a digital now but got to wait until my sister comes tomorrow! I know what you mean about money but all anyone ever says to me is there is never the right time to actually afford a baby!!

I've read that they count pregnancy from the first day of your last period but I thought t was from ovulation so am a bit confused?!

Well honest to god now girls this is nuts. I know I've been ttc but seriously now, I didn't actually think it was gonna happen!! I've told hubs. He's shocked (a little more shocked than I thought tbh... we are going through a bit of money problems at the mo and he thinks we can't afford a baby. But when can anyone truly afford anything?? You just make it work don't you :) we both have full time jobs so we will be fine. But yeah I've done more tests now so it's starting to sink in a bit. I'm still worried that it's early days though, heard so much about CP's and MC's and I really don't want one, I'm terrified 🙈

Me and DP did a 'just in case' on this morning, it won't work as I think I ovulate on Thurs, typical he's now gutted that this one probably won't count...I'm thinking well stop being knackered on the days that do count then! I know it can't be helped but still I am allowed to rant in my head (and on here!)

Thank you ladies - in shock too!! I don't feel very different but a little bit calmer knowing one way or the other! I had convinced myself I wasn't .. it doesn't feel real at the moment! So strange!! I wasn't sleeping properly in the nights leading up to it, and was thinking is everything a symptom, constantly winding myself up which is why I decided to check!

The Tesco ones of 2 is what I got misty- the first one I tried, I worked myself up with nerves but turns out I completely missed the stick when trying to pee on it😂😂 so have only done the one!! I will get a digital tomorrow when my sister comes to visit - let us know how you get on with the digital one though?!

Omg Charl!! Congrats chick! I'm still a bit in shock a minute girls. I'm literally panicking. I've only told my sister, haven't said to hubs yet, I'm actually scared to tell him. That's not cool is it 😂 I've bought a pack of 2 clear blue digital, and 2 pack Tescos own and done another cheapy which was still bfp but not as strong as first. I've still got my morning pee in a little cup in my spare room lol should I use that pee from earlier? Or should I wait til I need another pee?? Weird question I know!!x
