Marie we are in same situation, I'm now 4 days late & had bfn yesterday. Trying to save my remaining test for Wednesday when I will be a week late.

Also all symptoms I thought could be pg signs are gone!! I'm never late, what is this!!!

Marie90 · 05/03/2017 19:45

mistybxx that's true... no doubt ill be up really early to test! How are you feeling?
And I'm guessing the best motivation you will get is knowing whatever you eat, your baby will get too! Takeaways aren't a bad thing every now and then but maybe think of it like you'd think of cutting down on caffeine/ not drinking alcohol... tell yourself it'll be worth it In the end!!

pibbee that's frustrating that its changed your average cycle average. Are you usually 28 days?

Pibbee · 05/03/2017 18:06

Marie I'm on CD19. AF due on 12 March according to fertility friend but I'm not sure that's right, as that's based on the fact that last time it rocked up 3 days early for some reason, and so FF has calculated the dates based on a 25-day cycle which apart from last month I have never had before!

Either way it's definitely due by say 15 March. So I am in 2WW territory! Argh!

MistyBxx · 05/03/2017 17:59

Marie the hormone doubles daily I heard. So 24 hours at a time id test!
Girls I'm really worried about my diet. I'm a fast food addict, I have McDonald's twice a week, a Chinese once, sometimes a KFC thrown in for fun, I eat little to no fruit or veg, or drink much water, all I do is go to the gym once a week, how I'm not huge I don't know! I'm a 10-12 (although have been 14 in my past, weight has always been a battle for me) but now I'm genuinely worried for the health side of it, I've just bought pregnacare for all the vitamins but really need to eat healthy now and I don't know where to start lol x

Marie90 · 05/03/2017 16:44

It is Pibbee! I'm just soo impatient and want to know! Will try to hold out until the morning if my willpower is strong enough!
What part of your cycle are you on at the moment?

mrsjkerry · 05/03/2017 16:08

Misty I hope it's a sticky one too! My period is definitely late now, and no sign of it either so I'm beginning to feel a bit more confident. I have become totally OCD about food though and how many nutrients I am getting already 😄

Pibbee · 05/03/2017 15:36

No idea Marie but that sounds very frustrating! I'd try and test again tomorrow as opposed to this eve, just in case things still need to build up more. If you can hold out that is!!!

Marie90 · 05/03/2017 13:00

MistyBxx I've got my Fx it's a sticky one for you! Enjoy it!

I'm a bit confused over here... CD31 (I'm never over 29) but bfn again this morning. I'm tempted to do another this evening.. do you know how long it takes for hcg to build up enough to test??

MistyBxx · 05/03/2017 00:05

Hey girlies, what a day, I'm bloody shattered! Finally starting to sink in now. A couple of specially chosen family members have been informed but that's it. It's still so early I'm really worried and praying it's a sticky one.
Flatwhite I came off the pill in Aug after 14 years, my periods were very irregular back in my younger days but have been almost clockwork since Aug, 28-31 days (one crazy long 38 day one though lol) and i was actively trying (as in tracking, opk's etc) since Nov and I've just caught now in Feb. I'm 32.
Bestest of luck and millions of baby dust to you all! I'm not leaving this thread yet lol I'm watching you all haha xx

Polly85 · 04/03/2017 20:59

@Flatwhite31 @mrsjkerry I hope it doesnt turn out to be too tricky to balance the stress of ttc with a full time teaching workload...I also have a pile of books/assessments glaring at me in the corner Envy it can wait until tomorrow, tonight is for watching tv in pyjamas

Flatwhite31 · 04/03/2017 20:54

I'm 8 years in! I love my school and colleagues, but I find the job so tiring. Got a bag full of books waiting to be marked tomorrow, sigh! In an ideal world, I would love to be part time.

mrsjkerry · 04/03/2017 20:43

I am a secondary English teacher!

OP posts:
Polly85 · 04/03/2017 20:20

Haha! I am secondary history! I'm only 3 years in, already considering a career change. Loving the idea of maternity leave Smile Just hope that the stress/long hours aren't going to get in the way of conceiving. We shall see

Flatwhite31 · 04/03/2017 19:58

Yes I am a teacher! How did you guess?! Haha! I teach primary. I've been so exhausted recently, and need to re-gain some energy for TTC! Lol!

Polly85 · 04/03/2017 19:42

Haha I've just realised that you said you have work stress too!! You aren't a teacher by any chance? Grin

Polly85 · 04/03/2017 19:41

I came off the pill in August last year (the day after our wedding!) but we only started trying this month. My cycles have been a bit wacky since, and are still 38+ days. I have a feeling that might be because I'm overweight, but am struggling to lose anything at the moment because of work stress. Are you using any ttc apps? I'm finding Ovia really useful x

Flatwhite31 · 04/03/2017 19:32

Thank you so much Polly. How long have you been off the pill for? I currently have a giant chin spot anyway (work stress related!) so hopefully going off the pill won't result in even more!

Polly85 · 04/03/2017 19:27

Hi flatwhite, this is my first time too, and I'm also 31. I know how you feel about the pill, I was worried that my chin was going to erupt with giant horrible spots because that's the main reason I went on it 11 years ago, but so far so unspotty! Good luck xxx

Polly85 · 04/03/2017 19:24

I just did my first poas at approx 5dpo. It was obv a BFN. Feel a bit silly...what a waste of money. Sad

Marie90 · 04/03/2017 17:19

Oh my god MistyBxx and Charl19 that's AMAZING news!! Huge congratulations!

Send some of that baby dust this was as still no AF!!

Flatwhite31 · 04/03/2017 17:17

Meant to say, congratulations to all of you who have had a BFP!

Flatwhite31 · 04/03/2017 17:16

Hi all! Can I join? I'm completely new to mumsnet, and this is my first post! I'm 31, and took my last pill yesterday! Eek! I'm a bit worried about coming off the pill (mainly due to the the spot horror stories I've read) but it has to be done! I also had awful periods before going on the pill. I've been on it for over 11 years, so who knows how long TTC will take! Watch this space!

Pibbee · 04/03/2017 12:27

Good luck passmethewine!

Right - time for me to extract myself from the sofa and go for a run!

passmethewine123 · 04/03/2017 12:24

Omg this really is a lucky thread!! Congrats to all the BFPers! I'm just coming in to my fertile week now so please send some of that luck over my way 😄

Pibbee · 04/03/2017 12:17

I went to the docs just for a general chat and she said to me every 2 or 3 days. She also said to not pay too much attention to apps and opk sticks etc, just to go for it on a regular basis!
