Thanks everyone! I'm dreading getting my first proper period in years, even though I know it's necessary! My periods were dreadful pre-pill. They were really painful, and I ended up anaemic for a while. I'm also worrying about my skin erupting in bad spots.

ttcnovice · 06/03/2017 20:07

Glad to see you're both sticking around too Mrsj and charl Smile how are you both feeling? Any new symptoms?

Strange about your GP Mrsj! I always thought that's the first thing you do when you get a BFP, have an app at the docs then get referred to the midwife!

ttcnovice · 06/03/2017 20:06

Clacton it's usually anywhere between 10 and 16 days after you ovulate, depending on your own personal luteal phase. I'd say that means you should definitely be within (if not past) testing stage now! Good luck!

Polly85 · 06/03/2017 19:57

Hi @Flatwhite31 Smile I had my first non pill period 30 days after my last withdrawal bleed. My cycles have averaged out at 38 days so far, long but fairly regular x

mrsjkerry · 06/03/2017 19:04

Misty I haven't gone yet! Have tentatively looked at the new boards but you're right - they're not as friendly!!! Which one did you post on? I could join too...

Flat white I too had a normal withdrawal bleed. Immediately after this My periods returned to normal after a 38 day cycle.

I went to the doctor today and they were spectacularly unhelpful. Said they don't get involved and I should self refer myself to the maternity unit of my closest hospital. Gee thanks!

Sorry I'm terrible at replying to people personally because I always forget everyone's usernames 😂 think I need to start screenshotting lmao!!

But I defo second that everyone on here is so friendly - is what sucked me into it!! ☺️☺️

charl19 · 06/03/2017 18:43

Nope I'm still here misty! Got my fingers crossed for some more bfp's too... not sure what the next step is from here either really? I'm a little bit aphrehensive as it's early days so feel really nervous- don't want to get too ahead of myself if you know what I mean!!

Hope everyone else is doing ok xx

Flatwhite31 · 06/03/2017 18:43

Hi everyone, as stated in a previous post, I have just come off the pill to TTC after over 11 years on the pill. My withdrawal bleed started today. Does anyone know when to expect my first proper period? Does it take ages? Or is everyone different? Thank you lovely ladies! PS - loving how nice and supportive this thread is! Everyone is so lovely!

Clacton · 06/03/2017 18:15

Hi all

A lot has happened since I last looked in!
Really happy to see some more positives!

Could anyone help me with when I should test? I haven't had a period for 3 years as been on implant. Had implant removed on the 14th. Ovulated either 16th or 17th and not had a bleed since. I have had all the pg symptoms, which could of course be AF symptoms! Tested last week with a broken test and then the day after and got a negative.
When should my period be due? Or can you not tell from ovulation date?
I'm annoying myself with keep thinking about it, which is why I've tried to stay away from this page - but still thinking about babies ha ha!

ttcnovice · 06/03/2017 17:55

Yes Misty definitely hang around! You might bring us some luck Grin

MistyBxx · 06/03/2017 14:06

Hey girlies!

Oh marie gutted for you chick 😩 but this is only cycle 1, now you know the drill, you can nail it next time!!.🙌🏼😊

Ttcnovice... give it a couple more days! I got bfp on cd31 16dpo (hadn't poas at all before that though)

Twisted... what the hell 🙈 it's true some people don't ever get a hpt bfp! My colleague never did! She had to beg doc for blood test! Doc time maybe?

Hope you're all doing good!
I can't bear to leave here yet lol I don't know if mrsjkerry or charl have joined a new thread but I can't find them and people on the bfp boards seem a little frosty lol 😂 nobody is really talking to me haha. So I may just hover around here to keep an eye on you lovely lot and then just drift off MN all together. But not til I've seen more bfps on here!!🙌🏼

HoldTightPretendItsAPlan · 06/03/2017 13:07

Flowers for you Marie

Keeping fx for twisted

Twistedsister7 · 06/03/2017 12:19

I'm going to test again at a week late & maybe gp then if no af or BFP!!

ttcnovice · 06/03/2017 11:45

Twisted that's so strange it seems like you really should be getting your BFP! Have you thought about going to the GP's and asking for a blood test? Some people never get a positive on a HPT apparently!

Twistedsister7 · 06/03/2017 11:35

I was due AF on 1st March. Always had 26/27 day cycle, now cd32 & 16dpo. Tested Saturday at 14dpo & bfn.

Had different cm than usual this month & interesting new pains/cramps. Got my hopes up I think.

If it's just a long cycle then it seems my lp has extended which is small consolation should AF arrive. However I now have zero symptoms of either AF or PG so I'm just confused & im so impatient!! I just need to know!!

Ttc - I have my fx for you too!! I will also be on cycle 5 if AF arrives.

Pibbee · 06/03/2017 11:13

Sorry to hear that Marie and ttcnovice. Twisted how late are you now ? Sorry to hear no bfp for you this month passmethewine.

I have nothing interesting to report. Am 4dpo and pretty sure I am just waiting for AF to rock up! I don't have any symptoms but then I am doing my best to not go looking for them as I can't be arsed getting wound up about it all!

ttcnovice · 06/03/2017 11:02

Sorry about AF Marie - only just read your post Flowers

ttcnovice · 06/03/2017 11:01

Fx over here too for you Twisted 🤞🏼

I'm on CD28 today (and I think 12DPO). AF is due today, no signs of her but I tested this morning and got a BFN so I think I'm out Sad. Just want AF to hurry up now if I am. Can't believe I'll be going onto cycle 5, that just seems so long.

Marie90 · 06/03/2017 09:35

Fx you get a BFP soon Twisted

And thanks PassMeTheWine I think I'm going to let myself be upset today then pick myself up and get ready for cycle two from tomorrow!!

passmethewine123 · 06/03/2017 09:24

Keeping my fingers crossed for you Twisted

passmethewine123 · 06/03/2017 09:24

Aww sorry Marie 😒** join the march club with me 😀 (not a different thread btw, just those of us on here that didn't get BFP this month!)

Twistedsister7 · 06/03/2017 09:22

Sorry to hear that Marie, I'm still waiting!! I'd rather just know cos with all the bfn tests I cannot be pg surely!

Marie90 · 06/03/2017 08:40

Urgh. AF showed up this morning. Three days late just to mess with me 😔

Pibbee · 05/03/2017 20:25

Yeah I was always 28 days before I went on the pill (which I came off in December). I guess the rocking up early last time is due to body sorting itself out post-pill. Which I guess also explains why I ovulated later than I'd thought I would this cycle!

Question about clear blue OPK sticks - is it the case that once you've had the smily face that tester won't work again? As I got a smily face when I did the first stick so can I now not use the other 19 in the box without buying another set!?

Misty tbh I don't think some junk food from time to time is anything to beat yourself up about but you should try and up your fruit and veg intake. I'm much more keen on veg than fruit - I always buy fruit then don't get round to eating it! Love salady stuff though.

Flatwhite31 · 05/03/2017 20:21

Oh bless you misty! Deliciously Ella is great for healthy recipes, although she is a bit 'faddish' if you know what I mean. I cook her recipes, but still eat bread, pasta etc. - good place to start is to make your carbs whole meal - e.g. whole meal bread, pasta, noodles etc. If you're short on time, you can get veg pre-cut such as in stir fry packs, pre cut butternut squash (great for soup!) .
