Yes definitely onwards and upwards Pibbee! Hope cycle 3 is third time lucky for you! I'm okay today thanks, bit of the Monday blues this morning, but AF has left the building so that's cheered me up Smile.

Pibbee · 13/03/2017 10:33

Thanks ttcnovice! Am OK, it's just a PITA having to do more timing, planning and weeing on sticks!!!

Am only gonna be on cycle 3 so not too bad at all. Would have been lucky to have got BFP at this stage in fact! But I just want it sorted, you know!

Anyway, onwards and upwards! Had a coffee with actual CAFFEINE in it this morning, and will now be able to have some vino at the weekend! Silver lining and all that... How you doing today?

ttcnovice · 13/03/2017 10:26

Sorry about AF Pibbee SadFlowers

Pibbee · 13/03/2017 07:02

Morning all. AF has got me so I'm a bit gutted. Not what I needed on a Monday morning! I'm disappointed but I'll be fine later...

Happy Monday everyone else! :)

ttcnovice · 12/03/2017 21:06

Yay! Enjoy flatwhite and good luck for cycle number 1!

Hope everyone's had a good weekend! I'm just waiting for AF to bugger off - had just spotting today so hopefully she'll be gone by tomorrow. DH has next weekend off which should coincide with FW so that's nicely timed! Cycle 5 we're coming for you!!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Flatwhite31 · 12/03/2017 20:37

Hi everyone! Well we officially started TTC today 😉. I'm not bothering with opks this month, as I only stopped the pill 9 days ago, so I have no idea how long my cycle will be! Will just enjoy this month as much as possible before figuring out when ovulation etc will happen. Hope you're all well! X

JellyBean89 · 12/03/2017 13:53

Oohh @Pibee I have my fingers crossed for you that AF doesn't show up.

I feel ok today, 1st time in almost a week I didn't wake up nauseous so I hope that means the crash has ended. According to Ovia my AF is due next Sunday so I guess I'll have to wait until then to see if she shows or not as I can't symptoms spot. How is everyone else doing?

Pibbee · 12/03/2017 11:52

That was meant to be a question mark at the end, not a random 'm'.... GrinHmm

Pibbee · 12/03/2017 11:51

Morning all! OK so no sign of AF today, which means my cycle has not randomly reduced to 25 days, and last month was a one-off and not the new norm. But in terms of my usual cycle AF isn't due until Wednesday. I don't really have any symptoms of anything! Teeny tiny cramps. But now I can't even remember what symptoms I had before I went on the pill (was only on it a few months - relationship with dp has progressed fast hahaha!)apart from the annoying brown spotting (which I also had on the pill) which I have had none of this time....

How's anyone else doing today m

Pibbee · 11/03/2017 23:18

Actually scrap that last bit - if my cycle is 28 days then AF should rock up on Wednesday.... This waiting game is LONG!!!

Pibbee · 11/03/2017 23:16

Tessa a couple of the other girls on here are teachers too! Oh gawd, I should probs go to the doctors to find out about this chicken pox thing! Thanks for the tip!!!

Well if my random 25-day cycle last time is in fact not random, then AF should be here tomorrow. I think that was just an unusually short one, in which case AF is due Monday or Tuesday....

tessapop · 11/03/2017 18:44

The funniest thing is my DH was being nosy and wanted to see what I was doing on my phone and he was reading through my posts and it turns out he could figure out all the acronyms just because I must talk about pregnancy stuff far too much! Haha

tessapop · 11/03/2017 18:43

@Pibbee I know I'm a bit odd with my planning ways, I blame it on being a teacher! So basically, if you've never had chicken pox you're supposed to get a vaccination a few months before ttc because if you get it when pregnant it's bad for the baby. My dr had no clue and had to google it in the surgery (I was like wtf) anyway he ordered a blood test and i have natural immunity so that was fine. I got the impression most people don't go for a pre conception check up in this country whereas in America it's more normal. (I'm not American or anything i just watch too much YouTube) and the other reason I wanted to get checked out beforehand was because I had kidney issues as a kid and wasn't sure if I should be doing anything to lower risk or pre-eclampsia.

Pibbee · 11/03/2017 18:37

Tessa- I didn't even know ewcm was a thing before I started trying! I am not much of a planner though, to be fair....

What's this about chicken pox? I have never had it...

tessapop · 11/03/2017 18:11

Hi flatwhite, it's my first cycle so certainly can't give advice, but I tried using opks the cycle before we even started trying because I was just curious as to whether my app was accurate! (I'm a bit of a forward planner if you can't tell) some people have clear signs though without opks don't they? Weirdly and sorry if tmi, but i normally get ewcm and this month I didn't? Anyone ever find that when they first started trying?

And ttcnovice that is hilarious about the dr, but I'm not surprised! I went to see my dr about 6 months ago to check if I needed any shots or anything and he had no clue that he should test for chicken pox for example as I've never had it, I was very pleased I'd already researched the hell out of it Shock turns out I have natural immunity to it which is cool!

Pibbee · 11/03/2017 14:58

Do any of you think there is any correlation between level of pregnancy symptoms and level of PMT etc? Just wondering as I don't really get major symptoms pre-AF apart from like 1 day of cramps (usually on day 1 of AF) and maybe an hour or so of being an irritable cowbag...

Pibbee · 11/03/2017 14:54

I didn't do OPKs for cycle 1, and in cycle 2 I did 1 OPK just for the hell of it, thinking I'd missed FW, and when a solid smily popped up I was very surprised! I will probably do them next cycle (apart from anything else I've spent 30 quid on the buggers so might as well!) But I don't wanna get all obsessed with it as I'd do my own head in...

JellyBean89 · 11/03/2017 14:14

@Flatwhite31 I use Opk, I know sometimes tracking CM can be enough but i feel like it's always good to know exactly where you at in the cycle.

JellyBean89 · 11/03/2017 14:12

I'm not symptoms spotting but just had to look at that website posted by MistyBxx!
I literally have all those symptoms and during any other cycle I would had started buying hpt so I could start testing but sadly all my symptoms are being caused by a damn Mirena crash. Angry
I thought I had a stomach bug and now I wish I did have one! I have never been so nauseous, bloated and tired in my life. I can barely keep any food down, when I'm not trying to throw up I am basically forcing my eyes to stay open. My head is pounding but I decided to stay away from painkiller she as much as I can while TTC.

Im sorry this isn't even related to the tww but I just needed to vent 😞

ttcnovice · 11/03/2017 13:33

Morning everyone! I had an appointment with a nurse yesterday, unrelated to TTC, but it came up in conversation that we were trying. She asked whether I knew to take folic acid so I ended up saying "yes I've been taking it, and tracking my cycles, and using OPKs, and avoiding pate, and avoiding alcohol, and trying to track my CM, and I'm also using fertility lubricants" GrinGrin. She looked at me like I was crazy! I think she regretted asking about the folic acid in the end 😂😬. But anyway I'm glad I mentioned it because she said in her experience it's definitely average for it to take up to 12 months to conceive (she said more so for your first DC - not sure why?) so it's reassured me a bit! Being onto cycle 5 doesn't seem so long now!

Flatwhite31 · 11/03/2017 10:04

Hi ladies! Hope you're all well. My withdrawal bleed has now finished, so TTC can officially start! Unfortunately, I've woken up with an absolute blinder of a headache (even typing this is hurting, so I should really put my phone down - own worst enemy 😂) so I'm off to the chemist to get some strong tablets. Are any of you ttc without opks? Or would you recommend using them from the get go?

Pibbee · 11/03/2017 08:02

Haha yes Tessa the temp thing wouldn't work for me as I have to get up at least once in the night for a wazz!!! Have been like that since I was about 5 ffs, God knows how people manage to go all night without waking up at all! I tell myself I'm in broken sleep training for when I have a little one ha

tessapop · 11/03/2017 08:00

Oh and mistyb that website is AMAZE! I'm such a nerd I love a good statistic and chart!

tessapop · 11/03/2017 07:59

Hi jelly, first month has been ok I think, my DH has tracked my AF dates on an app on his phone for about 3 years anyway so it's pretty accurate, I used opks this cycle as well. I can't do the temperature thing though as I get up in the night for wees normally! We tried the pillow under the bum thing, did anyone find that helped?
