Ooh @JellyBean89 your symptoms sound good, I LOVE coffee and can't imagine not enjoying the aroma!! I've cut back to 2 a day, I don't know how you managed half a cup?????

JellyBean89 · 14/03/2017 21:50

Also I'm a hardcore coffee lover, i cut back to half a cup a day in the past few weeks but today I the smell made me gag, so I had to throw it out. My colleague was having coffee next to me at work and I felt queasy. This is the main thing that is making me thing maybe it's not just my body going crazy Post-iud.

JellyBean89 · 14/03/2017 21:47

Hahaha @Marie90 I feel your pin about peeing in a cup at work, i tipped the cup once and got wee all over the floor Blush
Good luck this month x

@Flatwhite31 that sounds awful, good thing you didn't bleed in front of the kids, it would have been a hard one to explain.

As for me, I am still having strange cramps on my right side and had a tiny bit of spotting earlier in the day. Like literally one spot when I wiped (TMI again, sorry) and that's it. My boobs are going crazy, I took my bra off when I got home and my areolas are so puffy I could see them through the vest I was wearing. Trying not to get my hopes up. If AF doesn't come by the end of the month then I'll test.

tessapop · 14/03/2017 21:31

Haha @Flatwhite31 isn't it awful when you're in the middle of a lesson to have such an emergency! I teach secondary so feel your pain!

Flatwhite31 · 14/03/2017 18:24

Thanks @tessapop! I'm 99.9% sure it's just random spotting, as it would be SO unlikely to conceive straight away! I've been tired, but no more than normal as an overworked teacher. It really did feel like blood. My worry was having a visible leak in front of the kids! Am going to have to get used to not knowing the exact day AF will arrive for the first time in nearly 12 years!

tessapop · 14/03/2017 18:13

Interesting thread @Pibbee, I wonder if some people are just more sensitive to changes in their body?

@Flatwhite31 when I first came off the pill years ago I had random AF timings and spotting for about 4 months! Lots of people seem to think you're more fertile when you first come off though so fingers crossed for you

Flatwhite31 · 14/03/2017 17:48

Hi everyone! Hope you're all well. TMI alert - just to forewarn you! I was in class today (primary teacher) and all of a sudden I felt like I was bleeding! I had no sanitary protection on, so I left my teaching assistant with the class to see what was going on. I had no sanitary protector with me, but luckily it was just lots of brown discharge! I took my last pill 11 days ago, and finished my withdrawal bleed last Thursday. In that 11 days, we have only DTD once, mainly due to me having a virus which I'm now feeling better from. Is brown discharge common when coming off the pill? I have googled but you just get so many different sources of information. I honestly thought my period had arrived ridiculously early as it felt like I was bleeding. Strange!

This thread is quite interesting! Especially the stuff about ovulation days..

tessapop · 14/03/2017 17:18

Hi guys how are you all doing? @Pibbee sorry to hear about af but at least you can have a drink without worry :) I have had absolutely no symptoms since 7dpo and I'm 9dpo now so starting to think it's a no for the first months attempt!

Marie90 · 14/03/2017 16:24

Hi ladies,

Sorry I've been a bit quiet recently... Purely down to having nothing much to contribute! AF has finished now and according to ovia and clue I'm coming up to my FW in the next few days.

Got myself a box of OPKs and tried my first one today at work (fyi I didn't think through the whole peeing into a pot at work thing through... Lots of hassle 🙈)! It was a total squinter today so I'll keep testing over the next week or so!

How are you all doing? Fx march is our month!! X

mrsjkerry · 14/03/2017 12:19

Jelly they sound very positive symptoms to me!

ttcnovice · 14/03/2017 11:05

Definitely Twisted Fx this is our month! 🤞🏼

Ahh sorry Pibbee Sad lucky number 3 for you let's hope!

Jelly that sounds promising! Keep us updated!

Misty and mrsj good to see you both still here to give us your pearls of pregnancy wisdom! Grin how are you both getting on? Have you told family/friends yet?

JellyBean89 · 14/03/2017 10:06

MistyBxx I really hope you're right, the pain felt like a stitch and nothing like AF. The contraception I was on worked by thickening the lining the neck of the womb So it's difficult for sperm to cross from the vagina into the womb and also by preventing the lining from thickening so eggs can't implant. Some women also stop ovulating on it, but I don't think I did as I was still getting regular periods throughout until the last month.
I know a lot of women ovulate straight away and get pregnant within the first few weeks but It's just so confusing as I have no idea what point I am in the cycle.

MistyBxx · 14/03/2017 08:46

Jellybean, that was one of the first feelings I had which was noticeably different to af pains... it was a sharp-ish almost stitchlike pain just above my foof. It was particularly noticeable if I'd been sitting and then stood up. I thought it was af pains at first but it just didn't feel like af. And it wasn't! But obv everyone is different and I don't want to get your hopes up, especially as I've got no idea how your contraception worked or what happens with that lol x

JellyBean89 · 14/03/2017 07:39

I have no idea when she is due. I've been off the iud for about 2 weeks, I've been using opks (because i read about some women who didn't ovulate for months after removal) and according to them I would be 5dpo. Last night in bed I had the worst migraine and this strange pain in my belly. I never experienced it before. It was a pulling/sucking sensation from my uterus to my vagina.

I'm not getting my hopes up as I think it would be too early for symptoms plus the past week I had a crash from the iud removal and it has the same symptoms as pregnancy.

Pibbee · 13/03/2017 22:38

Gaaah pressed post too soon! Anyway was saying I always get this brown nonsense at the start of AF and right now I have exactly that .... time to start weeing on more of those OPK sticks in a few days!!!

Pibbee · 13/03/2017 22:37

Indeed Jellybean! When is AF due?

Good luck with starting round 5 twisted and ttcnovice!

Pretty sure I'm out for this cycle but oh well. Am having the same as what always happens at the start of AF ie

Twistedsister7 · 13/03/2017 21:27

MrsJ how is everything, going well I hope? I hope cycle 5 will be lucky for me & TTCnovice as we are both there.

Jellybean your symptoms could be something else so fx, you're not out until AF shows!!

JellyBean89 · 13/03/2017 21:21

Fingers crossed for you @Pibbee! Hopefully it stays the way it is.
Good luck on cycle 5 @Twistedsister7! Hopefully it's the one.
Today I am having the weirdest cm ever(sorry for the TMI), I actually have no idea if I have seen it before or not. My nipples are incredibly sore and slightly darker and husband said my boobs look puffy. Was also having AF like cramps on my left side while at work so I think she might be showing her face soon.

mrsjkerry · 13/03/2017 21:01

Hi twisted! I am still lurking...cycle 5 was a lucky one for me! 🤞🏻

OP posts:
Twistedsister7 · 13/03/2017 20:53

Hi everyone, so I missed a few days for some reason. Sorry to those who got AF, welcome to all newbies & fx for all those starting a new cycle of ttc.

I have now finished AF, last cycle was a weird one with late AF & new, never seen before (misleading) symptoms, and the strangest AF. Anyways onwards & upwards to cycle 5!!

Where is everyone else at?

ttcnovice · 13/03/2017 16:22

Yes just keep an eye on it Pibbee! With a bit of luck it will just stay as it is 🤞🏼

Pibbee · 13/03/2017 16:19

No I've not bothered testing as am pretty much convinced it's a no! Of course, if this spotting disappears and doesn't turn into proper AF then I might reconsider, but I think that's very unlikely.

Yes indeed this thread has had loads of luck! Just needs a bit more for the rest of us.....Fingers crossed!!

ttcnovice · 13/03/2017 16:05

Have you tested just in case Pibbee? You never know! And March has been so lucky on this thread so far!

Pibbee · 13/03/2017 15:37

Yay, bye bye AF!!! I have just got the usual spotting nonsense at the moment. Had a fleeting thought that it might be implantation bleeding but given that I have this murky spotting every time, I have abandoned that thought....

At least it's sunny (well in London it is...)!
