TWW - anyone else testing in early March?

satsoooma · 20/02/2017 16:24

I'm just starting the dreaded TWW and could use some company. All the other threads on this seem to have reached the testing stage already.

I am 2-3 dpo and planning to test on 4 March. We have been TTC for about 18 months and are getting fertility treatment. I am pretty sure I ovulated this month though, so I have have high hopes for this cycle.

Sarah I've been having the same symptoms including the thrush at first ! Still BFN for me at CD30 but I'm not giving up hope as still getting symptoms and no AF

ethelfleda · 01/03/2017 21:03

Hi sarah 🖐 welcome and baby dust to you!
Well I feel like crap this evening. So tired, so incredibly thirsty and when I got hungry I also got lightheaded and dizzy! Went out for McDonald's (getting kitchen done at the moment so perfect excuse) got diesel on the way and it smelled really strong to me!! Ate my food and felt sick after and now am just exhausted. If I don't get a BFP this month then I think a trip to the docs is in order!! I'm thinking the smell thing might be because I've been off the cigarettes for 3 weeks... but I wasn't really a heavy smoker - only with alcohol. Who knows. God I hate this waiting! Determined not to test until Monday!

dangle90 · 01/03/2017 20:46

I know what you mean Andy's, I know I'm out because I haven't had a sniff of a line at this stage :/ ! We need to try stay positive don't we! xx

Andysgirl15 · 01/03/2017 20:34

Hi 👋 to the new ladies.

Thanks for looking at the pic ladies. But I swear it's there irl. It's really putting me off testing in the morning as I know my heart will sink if I get a bfn. I got a bfp with DS at 10dpo with IC + FRER so my mind automatically thinks it's going to be like that next time I'm pregnant which will make the possible bfn even harder 🙁

Sarajandb · 01/03/2017 20:12

sorry didn't mean to post twice :-(

Sarajandb · 01/03/2017 20:12

i'm 26
TTC baby no3
children aged 7 & 5
TTC - cycle no 4
7/8 days past ovulation
Hot flushes, dizziness, lightheaded 5&6 days past ovulation
Tiredness, thrust (which has now gone) creamy discharge since ovulation
lack of sex drive not interested one bit.
Today.. crampy mild period like cramps. Feel like I'm about to come on my period ( due in 6 days) dying to test but too early :-( and I'm massively irritable and snappy (usually get that around period time )

I know roughly when ov was as I got a strong positive OPK so I'm sure it was 23rd. I might do a test this weekend and see if it picks up anything. Good luck for those testing!

Oysterbabe · 01/03/2017 19:22

It's definitely best to go by ovulation I think, providing you know when that was. I'll be 13DPO tomorrow and might go and buy a test at lunch to use at the weekend if no AF. I didn't want to buy one that early in case I'm tempted to use it but it's going to be the only chance I get until Monday.

ethelfleda · 01/03/2017 18:28

Hi hopefully don't know if it helps you but I don't find ovia reliable. I only use it as a rough guide. It never gets my fertile time correct anyway!

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 01/03/2017 18:08

Thanks boatrace - why is the stupid tww so bloody long?! It sucks. I'll wait. Otherwise literally pissing money away.

boatrace30 · 01/03/2017 17:55

I'm also a terrible hypocrite having tested on 4,6+8dpo!

boatrace30 · 01/03/2017 17:54

Not sure you are asking the right people hopefully. Lots of too early testers here. As someone with a very irregular cycle, I never worry about when AF is due anyway, but instead go by days after I think I ovulated. So if you ovulated on the 23rd you are now 6dpo. I would wait till 10dpo at the earliest and hen only test if you've got a super sensitive test. If not wait for 14dpo. And definitely don't trust any negative results until AF turns up. ( I just keep testing, which means I get through a lot of tests on long cycles!!)

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 01/03/2017 17:32

Can someone help me - Ovia says I'm CD21 and that my period is due in 9 days. But surely that's a 30 day cycle not a 28 day one (I was 28 last month). I ovulated on CD14 (23 Feb). When is the earliest I can test do you think? If 4 to 5 days before AF due then would that be CD 23/24 so this fri/sat?

boatrace30 · 01/03/2017 17:29

Sorry Andy can't see it either. Welcome theother. Fx for you. I'm no expert on opks but think it's very easy to miss the LH surge.

boatrace30 · 01/03/2017 17:27

So how is this for mental... just went to Superdrug to buy two of their early detection tests as they seemed to have the best stats for early results on the "countdown to pregnancy" site. Despite having loads of ICs, some boots tests and a clear blue digital (for special occasions only!)
Can't remember who posted that site but you are responsible for much of my lost time!! Wink (& £8.50!)

theotherendofthesockportal · 01/03/2017 17:06

Hello ladies, can j join?

I had a mmc in January. My period started on 14th February (how romantic). I then became a crazy lady obsessed with opks but never saw a positive.

I'm hoping somehow that I did the tests wrong and I can test around 11th March

Good luck to everyone else

Firsttimeandclueless · 01/03/2017 16:40

Sorry Andy I don't see it this time.

I'd say do another one tomorrow, just to be sure

dangle90 · 01/03/2017 15:48

Sorry Andy I can't see it :( x

satsoooma · 01/03/2017 15:47

Afraid I can't see any line Andysgirl, but I had a chemical pregnancy a few months back, where I could see it in real life, but not in a photo.

If the line is grey, it is likely an evap, if it is pinkish, it could be a positive result.

I can't see it I'm sorry andys have you got abother one for in the morning?

Andysgirl15 · 01/03/2017 15:39

Aaarrrggghh I can't see it but I swear it's there irl

Andysgirl15 · 01/03/2017 15:38

So I'm really confused ladies. As you all probably read I had bfn this morning on 2 different brands, well on the way back from taking lil ones swimming I picked up a PT from the £1 shop and did it when I got back after a 4 hour hold. Anyway I see a really faint line and immediately thought evap after having bfn this morning. So I did the old " drop a bit of water on the line and if it disappears it's an evap" well it's still there.

I'm gonna attach a pic, please tell me u see what I see

TWW - anyone else testing in early March?
dangle90 · 01/03/2017 14:37

Yeah I think I will do the same, I did slimming world last summer, lost nearly a stone, felt good, stopped dieting, then put almost 2 stone back on 😂 nightmare!

satsoooma · 01/03/2017 14:14

dangle, losing weight is something i try and work on as a bit of a distraction too. As I am overweight, supposedly every little bit lost makes it easier to get pregnant, so it makes me feel like I am doing something towards my goals.
