TWW - anyone else testing in early March?

satsoooma · 20/02/2017 16:24

I'm just starting the dreaded TWW and could use some company. All the other threads on this seem to have reached the testing stage already.

I am 2-3 dpo and planning to test on 4 March. We have been TTC for about 18 months and are getting fertility treatment. I am pretty sure I ovulated this month though, so I have have high hopes for this cycle.

Would have been cycle day 17 and 18. My period usually arrives on day 28-30

Boatrace sorry to hear af got you. Here's some info for you

There’s some evidence taking B6 can increase the LP in some women by 1-4ish days, and to increase absorption it’s recommended to take it with other B vits. So, most recommend a B50 complex (50mg of B6) once a day. There are some unsubstantiated claims out there that taking more than 100mg of B6 may cause fetal abnormalities, thus why B50 is recommended.

Taking progesterone would lengthen it as well, but you run the risk of screwing up your cycles with the extra hormones, so that’s something to do only with a doc’s approval

Hi ladies, I have 7 days left till test day and I'm getting ancy! We did on the last day of the fertile window and the day after. Are we I'm for a chance? Or should I presume it's defdo not gonna happen this month?

ethelfleda · 02/03/2017 15:59

boatrace if it helps, they prescribe acupuncture on the NHS for back problems. I had it for my shoulder and it's the only thing that worked for me. I doubt they'd prescribe it for fertility but if they do use it for other things then it must be effective
I'm sorry to hear that dangle and I really hope that isn't the case for you! Flowers

dangle90 · 02/03/2017 15:01

Just seen your post Ethel, thank you Hun, cramps are coming thick and fast now so sure it won't be long til I'm out too x

dangle90 · 02/03/2017 14:59

And boatrace :( x

satsoooma · 02/03/2017 14:58

Thanks everyone!

Sorry you are having rubbish days too banania and boatrace.

Boatrace, my advice is to go to the doctor earlier rather than later. I knew something was wrong in my case and wish I had gone earlier, rather than wait until we had been TTC for quite a while. There are often quite long waiting lists for further tests and treatments.

So sorry boatrace Hugs!

I have heard of connections between acupuncture and luteal before, you never know. :)
Nobody ever mentions how frustrating this whole process is. :/

dangle90 · 02/03/2017 14:20

Sorry about AF satsooma. Sad** massive hug! Xxxx

boatrace30 · 02/03/2017 13:59

I haven't, always been a bit suspicious of alternative therapies... but getting to a point where I would consider it (might just have to hide it from my super rational DH)

NotQuiteJustYet · 02/03/2017 13:58

*boatrace, even. Autocorrect...

NotQuiteJustYet · 02/03/2017 13:57

boatface Slightly odd suggestion, have you considered acupuncture? I've heard good things when it comes to lengthening a luteal phase.

boatrace30 · 02/03/2017 13:41

A bad day on this thread... AF just turned up for me too. 9DPO (and last month was 8DPO). It means I have a short luteal phase so even if an egg fertilises it has no chance to implant. Think I need to start thinking about doctors...

ethelfleda · 02/03/2017 12:19

Congrats stephy !!

I'm sorry to hear about AF showing her ugly face satsooma and banania

Hang in dangle you're not out until you're out! Still keeping my fingers crossed for everyone else as well!!
I'm 10dpo today and still exhausted. Anyone testing on Monday?? That's when AF is due for me!

stuckinny · 02/03/2017 11:55

I'm sorry to hear af showed up satsooma and banania.

Congrats stephy.

I'm 11 dpo and desperately trying not to symptom spot. I didn't have any symptoms with DS so trying not to read too much into any little changes in the way I feel. Will probably test in the morning as we're heading to DP's parents tomorrow night and dinner usually involves a few bottles of wine.

Sorry to hear Satsoooma and Banania
If AF shows up for me, starting to suspect she will because of cramping this morning, we should start another thred for def.

Huge huge congrats Stephy Make sure you pop back and let us know how you get on!

Atypical You're my cycle twin! Still sooo long to go! I have roughly five days to AF but she has been known to turn up early :/

stephylou87 · 02/03/2017 11:26

Sorry for the AF and I wish you all the luck and best for next month xx

Beckyb4591 · 02/03/2017 11:13

Sorry to Hear AF arrived for you too Banania. Keep in gmyear fingers crossed for you xxx

Beckyb4591 · 02/03/2017 11:10

Sorry to hear AF arrived satsoooma. Very good news though that it arrived on time as that's a step in the right direction at least. Keeping my fingers crossed for you xxxx

Banania · 02/03/2017 11:08

I'm out too - AF arrived as expected this morning. Sorry to everyone feeling disappointed and congrats to stephy!

For everyone symptom spotting, the big signs for me last time (with DC2) were the blue veins on chest, itchy nipples, dizziness, and a weird gurgling in my stomach! Had none of that this time around so kind of knew.

satsooma I'll keep an eye on you on these boards, seems like we're starting a new cycle together. Hang in there.

Andysgirl15 · 02/03/2017 10:50

Sorry to hear af got you satsoooma 💐

Got some cramping today. Been on and off for a couple of hours. I only usually cramp about 30 mins before af arrives and I'm only 9/10dpo so I doubt it's af yet. Had sore boobs this morning as well, they didn't hurt to touch it was more of a sensation. Oh how I hate the TWW 😡

boatrace30 · 02/03/2017 10:31

Really really sorry to hear that satsooma. Big hug to you. At least AF is on time so fingers crossed for next month. Xxx

HopefullyDothButterNoParsnips · 02/03/2017 10:27

Oh satsooma sorry about AF. Maybe your body is just taking its time to regulate itself. Fingers crossed for you for next month! FlowersFlowersFlowers

NotQuiteJustYet · 02/03/2017 10:25

I'm 9DPO today and itching to start testing but trying to hold off to avoid the disappointment when they'll only come back negative.

Symptoms: Migraines, sensitive nipples since 5DPO, sore boobs since 8DPO and some mild cramps.

I think AF might be on the way, my temp took a 0.13 dip this morning and my boobs normally start getting sore about now when she's due.
