Thread 26. TTC #1 - Calm as a hysterical cucumber

Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Here's our Grad's Thread. May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Girls it has been a pleasure to be part of this group but i'm going for a while now. I'm struggling so much with this, all i ever wanted is to be a wife and mummy. I've been torn apart watching my friends bump grow and i have reached the point that i can't handle the pain of not having the baby i want so much. My marriage is suffering as dh can't deal with how i'm feeling. I need to step away from being immersed in ttc & hope that i can enjoy my life as it is for now. I hope you all get to where we all want to be x

InspectorPenguin · 16/02/2017 22:17

Sorry Hep and EJ and best of luck tomorrow, Kath. Whatever they say you will be in a better position to move forward. Remember to ask all the questions you want to ask.

Welcome Kerry! Sorry you've had a long journey to get here, but at least you have age on your side :)

So pleased it's Friday tomorrow!

Miranda234 · 16/02/2017 21:59

Sorry for AF hep and EJ Flowers

Welcome kerry

Good luck for your results tomorrow kathrino

Enjoy your long weekend pug sounds great!

I'll be park running on Saturday too Smile

EJ2009 · 16/02/2017 21:54

aand i'm out. Af arrived. Cd1 & here we freakin go again. Sad

Pugmummy87 · 16/02/2017 21:43

mouse I hope this is the final scan for you. Love your PMA.

Sorry about AF hep and EJ Flowers

I can't stand Baby dance either. Or baby dust. As if all we need is a bit of magic powder and boom! Pregnant!

DH and I are off to Birmingham this tomorrow for a 3 night stay at the Hilton. He is in a gaming tournament over the weekend and it's also our 6th wedding anniversary on Sunday, so we thought we would make a long weekend of it. I'm being treated to a spa day whilst I'm there which will be heaven!

Don't think this is our month, I can feel the pmt rage starting to build.

geeup · 16/02/2017 21:31

Kerry afraid my DHs sperm doesn't seem to live long enough to fertilise the egg :( we're just starting the IVF process.
Glad you seem to have everything working. Hopefully as you say you just need a perfectly timed go!

Flashinthepan · 16/02/2017 20:37

We definitely have less sex since we started ttc. Which is really not optimal.

Flashinthepan · 16/02/2017 20:36

Eurgh baby dance. So gross. Up there with baby dust as far as I'm concerned! I think you will fit in well here kerry!

Haven't done park run in ages! Ours is a grassy track through a field and a wooded bit so it is really treacherous in the winter when it's wet!

MissyJones80s · 16/02/2017 20:33

Hi kerry I'm with you on the baby dance yak! I'd rather say have a good old shag haha and to remember not all shags have to be about babies they should be for fun times too :)

KerryLeanne84 · 16/02/2017 20:30

Kathrino a bit crap at having sex made me laugh!

Kathrino · 16/02/2017 20:18

Thanks Kerry, I can't work out if I'd rather there was a problem that we can deal with or that everything is fine and we're just a bit crap at having sex. And I think after 23 cycles, you've earned the right to call it whatever you want. Baby dance makes me cringe too, ugh. Good luck for this cycle, EOD seems v popular here at the moment.

So sorry about AF EJ, our bodies play the worst tricks on us Flowers

KerryLeanne84 · 16/02/2017 20:14

Hey geeup! I've had all the tests (I think?) - OH's sperm is fine, I ovulate, no PCOS, scans all clear. They seem to just miss each other every month!

What about you? x

geeup · 16/02/2017 20:06

Hi Kerry. Welcome to the thread. I'm cycle 23 too so am totally over the "baby dance" chat too. Have you had any tests yet? Good luck with hitting ovulation!

KerryLeanne84 · 16/02/2017 19:54

That's rubbish EJ2009 - it's so strange what you can convince yourself of in the days leading up to your period (speaking for myself), especially if it's a day late! Better luck for next cycle.

KerryLeanne84 · 16/02/2017 19:52

Good luck with your results tomorrow Kathrino!

I'm Kerry
32
Cycle 23
Period due 7 March

CD 9 so testing for ovulation (in case I miss it) and having sex every other day (can't bring myself to say baby dance or do the deed, hope that doesn't get me thrown off mumsnet!).

Londonjam · 16/02/2017 19:34

Glad it's not just me Flash Smile

Macs I am excited to get involved in International Women's Day. I'm a big Woman's Hour fan and feel strongly about equality !

Ugh it's horrible when you get your hopes up EJ Sad don't rule yourself out just yet

Harriet mine is Finsbury Park. Am determined to get there!

harrietm87 · 16/02/2017 19:30

jam I do parkrun too - which one is your local? Mine is hackney marshes. Might try go this week if I make it out of bed in time. I went to the gym today for the first time in ages and feel great now.

Sorry for AF hep and EJ.

MissyJones80s · 16/02/2017 19:15

Lol pass definitely of course it does but remember it's also a symptom of AF as well bahahahaha

passmethewine123 · 16/02/2017 17:55

Does almost crying at The Chase whilst eating dinner count as a symptom?! ConfusedBlush

EJ2009 · 16/02/2017 17:20

Aarrgh my body hates me. Af was 1 day late. Frer bfn & now cramps have started Why trick me like that!

macsworth · 16/02/2017 17:17

So sorry hep, I hope you've managed to look after yourself ok.

mouse and harriet you are both such strong woman. So nice to have you on this thread ❤️

Jam great work on the running! And love the international woman's day events. I'm a real feminist. Loved the woman's March!!

tonks 5 days in a row...you machine!!!

I've was really cramping last night and today it's been more of a pinching, stinging pain. Not sure either are completely new though so trying to keep myself firmly grounded.

Flashinthepan · 16/02/2017 16:03

Yes Jam! I get a sort of fat squidgy bit (ok, extra fat squidgy bit) under my belly button.

Londonjam · 16/02/2017 14:28

flash I feel SO much fatter in the TWW! I think it's the water retention. I get really bloated and get this little round belly, which feeds into the mentalness and makes me want to be pregnant even more.

tonks how annoying.. that is remarkable feat of DTD though - hopefully when you do ovulate there will be lots of swimmers lined up. Maybe miss today and do it again tomorrow?

Kaydee2017 · 16/02/2017 13:52

Flowers hep

Hope you feel better too pass!

LSFX penguin, jam & smitten Grin

I am another fan of your PMA mouse Smile

Fx for the TWW missy!!

Flash YES!! I am the exact same as Kathrino with my eating habits Blush

Tonks fx for Ov soon - if not, can you manage one more for luck??

Tonks87 · 16/02/2017 13:34

Sorry about AF Hep FlowersI hope you have a nice weekend planned to cheer yourself up.

Spa days sound fab Mouse. I have one booked next month for a hen party which I was worried I'd be upduffed for when it was booked 6 months ago, it's looking like I was worried over nothing. And I love your PMA!

Missy I constantly get twinges and odd symptoms. I think I've probably always had them but never paid any attention to them when not TTC. Fx they are a good sign for you though!

I felt like this cycle was going so well but now I'm just confused. It's CD15, I got my positive OPK first thing on CD13 but I don't think I've actually OV'd yet. My temp is still low, I'm still getting OV pain and EWCM every now and again. We've BD'd 5 days in a row and I'm knackered! I'm ready for the TWW now!
