Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

Here's our Grad's Thread. May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

So happy to see you back skipper, I missed you! Glad the pain has gone now and that ovulation wasn't too unbearable. It really is shitty you have to deal with this each cycle. Best of luck to you! I'm 2dpo so we've ovulated at the same time. Let's hope this is finally it Flowers

Just eating my pineapple & core kwick Grin Still thinking of you lots, and you Mouse ❤️

Good to see you sk1pper, I'm so glad you're not suffering with the pain anymore. Hope you have a happy and stress-free TWW with the best outcome at the end of it.

Harriet, sounds like you've had an excellent weekend and are on track this cycle. I really hope this is the one for you.

sk1pper · 26/02/2017 12:13

Hi everyone, hesitantly back - I ovulated a few days ago and since then all the pain has vanished. Not entirely sure what is going on with my body, I'm wondering if my Fallopian tubes still needed to clear slightly. And although ovulation was quite painful, it only lasted an hour. So I hope that's it now and I can just get on with...well life.

Congrats Tonks and was it Peaches? And I was very sorry to read about all the partner problems...TTC is a stressful situation for any couple and can make every day issues more pressing than they should be.

AlexiaB · 26/02/2017 11:59

Thanks Carley Smile I've had a stubborn cold too that still hasn't fully cleared. Hope you feel better soon. I'm certain being ill delayed ovulation for you this cycle. Well done for being persistent with the opks though and for keeping up the EOD sex despite being so ill. Trooper! Fx for a temp rise tomorrow.

Harriet pleased your cycle has returned to normal, that's a relief. Sounds like you've had a great weekend!

Morning all. Sorry to those of you who have had AF - macs glad you are feeling upbeat about it, hope you are ok flash.

I've had a fuckit weekend - had a few drinks on Friday night (2 proseccos, 2 beers, a glass of red wine - terrible combo what was I thinking?!!) and have been eating lots of unhealthy things. Thought FW wasn't starting until Tuesday but just got a flashing smiley on clearblue opk! Really happy it looks like cycle is getting back to normal after mc and excited for lots of GOS this week.

jam how are you doing?

AlexiaB · 26/02/2017 11:46

Yay congratulations Tonks. I knew it Wink Happy and healthy 9 months!

Thank you very much Macs. I'm sorry AF arrived Flowers but I'm amazed by your PMA! Such a brilliant attitude to have. I hope your bfp is just around the corner and a relaxed approach does the trick - same for you too Kathrino.

Missy good idea, I think opks will give you that control/knowledge back re. your luteal phase and I'd also suggest taking B50 complex after O too.

Sorry I've been AWOL for a while - I've had this awful cold that I've not been able to shift and work has been manic. Over the worst of it now and I've been lurking -like a stalker- so I'm not too behind!

Congratulations Tonks! Wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy.

Your relaxed plans sounds good Kathrino and Mac, hope it works for you both.

Sorry AF got some of you Flowers, hope next month is lucky.

Hope you're feeling better Alexia (your DH sounds so lovely and understanding!). You got some well timed shagging in so FX for you and hope the TWW doesn't drag on too much!

I'm not sure what's going on with me, my OPK's have been all over the place with the line getting darker and lighter, whereas last month I had clear progression to CD12/CD13 when I got positives and then the line faded again. I had given up on ovulating this cycle when I finally got a positive yesterday (CD21) so really hoping for a temp shift soon. Managed to keep up EOD even when feeling crap so hopefully all is not lost Grin

MissyJones80s · 26/02/2017 11:11

macs sorry about AF bit big up to relaxed and having a good chat about it all. I'm still opting for relaxed approach but using OPKs just this month to def try to figure out what's going on with my LP! Here's to relaxed ttc x

macsworth · 26/02/2017 10:57

Thanks kathrino 😊

It does really sound like we've come to the same conclusion. I really hope that it pays off for you as well. Here's to relaxed and stress free time 🍷

Kathrino · 26/02/2017 10:49

Sorry macs, didn't see your post but I think we are basically saying the same thing anyway! I'm sorry that AF has arrived but it sounds like you are in a good place and I have absolutely no doubt that a happy and relaxed cycle will pay off for you. With everything you've been through recently, you deserve it.

Kathrino · 26/02/2017 10:45

Kerry, I think I drink too much water during the day when I'm at work for OPKs to pick up any surge. I feel like crap when I don't drink water though so have decided to not bother with OPKs anymore and just keep drinking water.

In fact, I'm increasingly feeling a bit 'fuck it' about the whole thing. I'm going to keep taking multi vitamins and folic acid (and having regular sex with DH of course!) but other than that, I'm not going to change my behaviour at all. If it's going to happen, it will happen.

Tonks, so happy for you! Is your DH convinced now?!

macsworth · 26/02/2017 10:38

Morning ladies 😊

tonks congratulations. That's great progression of your line. Happy and healthy 9 months to you.

Alexia I'm really glad you've got a plan and that your relationship is strong. It's so important when you're finding it so stressful. I really hope it happens for you soon, you really deserve it.

jam my DH surprised me a bit with the decaf tea thing. He tends to not think about it until I bring it up but as time has gone on he's become a bit more involved. I think it stems from finding out his school friend has been trying for 3 years and having a good talk with him about the stress on us, theirs partners. Is there anyone your DH can talk to?

So AF came on Friday night (one day late...what a bitch!). So I'm CD 2, due 29th March.
I'm actually completely fine about it all. DH and I had such a good talk about it all on Friday night over a few beers. We feel like TTC has been so all consuming and I don't want to carry on like that. We're going to keep going with a relaxed approach and believe that it will happen one day, maybe with help, maybe without but in the mean time we're going to enjoy life.
So on we go to cycle 8

MissyJones80s · 26/02/2017 10:01

Thanks for the amazon link again alexia just ordered!!

MissyJones80s · 26/02/2017 09:45

In other news I've been looking back at my notes and I despite thinking my LP was perfect this month I am now convinced it was only 9 days, the same as three cycles previous to this. I had cramping on CDs 13 & 14 but the stronger cramps were on 15 my AF was then on early morning of CD25 leaving only 9 days between. I am definitely OPK-ing this month to be sure of ov date.
Not sure whether to book docs appt we've only been trying for 6 months and I know they say wait 12 but just wondered whether to raise the LP concern with them?

MissyJones80s · 26/02/2017 09:40

Hooray tonks that's looking stronger whoop whoop Grin

Miranda234 · 26/02/2017 09:29

So sorry for AF flash Flowers, our bodies do cruel things to us. I was convinced I was pregnant last month, it's so easy to do.

Congratulations tonks wishing you a happy and healthy pregnancy Smile

Sorry for everyone who has been having a hard time recently, this process is so much harder than I was ever prepared for but we will all get there. Enjoy your Sunday's everyone Smile

Binkybunny13 · 26/02/2017 08:52

Excellent news tonks, congratulations! Can you do a summary for us about what cycle you were on, what you'd done differently etc? I want to be a geek about BFPs to lure mine along! 😂

Sorry about AF and BFNs for others. Stay strong- we will get there, and when we have our babies this heartache will all seem a distant memory 💜

Tonks87 · 26/02/2017 08:40

I'm sorry about AF Flash Flowers

Kerry when I use the ovulation tests I drink extra water in the morning then stop at 3pm so I can test at 7pm when I get home from work. Maybe your urine is too diluted to pick up the surge?

I took another FRER this morning and I am now convinced I have my BFP!

MissyJones80s · 26/02/2017 07:49

gaelach and flash sorry to hear about AF Flowers flash mine was 2 days early this month as well meh

AlexiaB · 26/02/2017 07:43

So sorry Flash Sad Flowers Hope the B complex works wonders on your spotting and LP.

Kerry test at the same time each afternoon and don't drink any fluids for 2-3 hours before testing. I usually test once a day between 3-5pm. Then when it starts getting noticeably darker I test almost every time I pee until I get my positive. It will take a few cycles to get to know your body eg. fmu does not work for me (see pic). I've also attached my positive from 10.30pm on CD14. (The numbers 11, 12, 13, 14 = CD)

Sorry Flash Flowers Wine

Londonjam · 25/02/2017 23:54

Kerry around ovulation I use three OPK tests a day to catch it. Maybe you aren't using them frequently enough?

Massive hug from me flash it'll only be a week or so and you'll have another chance to go again.

Kathrino · 25/02/2017 23:10

I'm sorry Flash Flowers

Flashinthepan · 25/02/2017 22:40

Af arrived so definitely out. And a day early so 10 day lp. Not good. Have got my new b 50 mega complex so hopefully that will lengthen my lp as well as stopping the spotting. Otherwise got appointment with gynae end of April.

Sounds like some excellent GOS with dh Kerry. FXLS.

Sorry about the bfn gaelach but maybe still a chance for you.

KerryLeanne84 · 25/02/2017 18:34

Forgot to say - it's now two years since I came off the pill. I planned to start trying straight after we got married (I'd just turned 30) and the dr I went to see was like, there's no rush, you're so young (AH HA) so I waited a bit (I also felt a bit apprehensive!). I came off the pill at the end of Feb because I was planning to fly in September (AH HA).

So funny now to think I took that pill religiously for so long. I doubt I'll ever take it again.
