Seven Seas trying for a baby

Hi all
Today is CD 31 of a (usually) 28-day cycle, and this is the end of cycle 9 of TTC. I'm lucky that my cycles have always been regular, so I'm assuming that I'm ovulating each month. Maybe wrongly assuming - I don't know. This month, I've stated taking Seven Seas trying for a baby pills, after my best friend couldn't sing their praises enough. A while ago, I did see a post on here debating their success. One poster mentioned that taking these made their cycles longer. I've tried looking online to reviews but no to avail. So basically, I'd just like to know some of your stories/experiences of taking these, if they work, etc.
To make it easier, I just want to add that both DH and I are healthy (that we know) and I'm 27 so my age really isn't a factor. Oh, and I had a BFN this afternoon.

Hey ladies, I've just started taking boots own, I work in pharmacy and after speaking to our pharmacist he told me to get ours because they're the same as the fancier brands, whether they work or not who knows?! It's making me feel better that I'm trying though!

Newtoday · 02/03/2017 17:53

Been taking these a couple of months and just bought more! Cycle is spot on!

Autumn0909 · 02/03/2017 06:53

It certainly doesn't seem good to me either! Although they're supposed to regulate your cycle, no period surely can't be a good sign?! After another few weeks, all I had was a bit of spotting, which further tests confirmed to NOT be implantation spotting (as I had hoped). My advice would be to stay well away, ladies!
Hope you all get your BFPs soon!

I took these vitamins all of last month, did not have a period all of February and am currently 11 days late with no sign of AF. I know I am definitely NOT pregnant but this could really confuse and upset anyone who is actively trying! This does not seem good to me as my period was as regular as clockwork previously. Glad I found this thread as I have kept on persevering thinking they MUST be good for me. I'm going to ditch them for folic acid alone but I am slightly annoyed as I've bought 3 months worth in preparation for ttc end of May.

Secret and Autumn - I'm so sorry I didn't mean to alarm you! I am just repeating what my gynecologist told me. I'm sure they are safe if they are on the market. Unfortunately I'm not sure on any of the specifics of why I was told not to take them....maybe my gyne is just adverse to me taking any medication that might be unnecessary?

Millie9019 · 14/02/2017 18:37

AF and god is she a bitch.... off my work tonight because of her!

Autumn0909 · 14/02/2017 17:46

Oh no! A test or AF arrived?

Well it's a BFN for me.... and now I'm in agony... try again next month...

MilleniumTalcum · 14/02/2017 10:04

I got pregnant the month after I started taking them. Had no issues tbh!

Newtoday · 14/02/2017 06:55

I've been looking at reviews...it seems it can lengethen and regulate your cycle. So, this is a good thing. It may promote pregnancy by supportive nutrition which can affect egg health (I think I read somewhere early ovulation can mean it's a lower quality egg) and longer cycle can be related to healthier length luteal phase.

The reviews on Amazon are overwhelmingly positive and a good few mentions of PSOS, which would support the above.

Does anyone have any peer reviewed links on the use of them?

powerpuffer · 14/02/2017 00:07

I got my BFP last month on cycle 4 and it was the first month that I used a Mooncup after DTD. Can't say it was the solution but it certainly worked for me! We DTD, I laid with a pillow under my hips and then after about 20 minutes I popped the Mooncup in and carried on with life/went to sleep. Removed it when I woke up or a few hours later. It stopped the swimmers escaping and made me feel better (and certainly more comfortable in bed!). Maybe worth a try if anyone has a Mooncup anyway...

Millie9019 · 13/02/2017 23:04

That's it... I'm done with them for sure! No more! Can't handle the disappointment....

Peony84 · 13/02/2017 22:58

Hi everyone. I took seven seas for 6 months and started TTC 3 months in, then ran out of pills for a month and forgot to buy more. Got pregnant that cycle, don't know if it's just coincidence but after reading other commments maybe not!

Tattybogle89 · 13/02/2017 22:43

Well my period arrived. 2 days late. The first time its been late in years. I really thought I was pregnant. And I'm not. The only thing I did diff this month? Was take seven seas trying for a baby pills. I'm switching back to folic acid. Too much of a coincidence 😞 x

Millie9019 · 13/02/2017 22:06

I hope U do too! fingers crossed for us!

ethelfleda · 13/02/2017 21:52

I hate that question too. Ever since we were married it has been worse. It's quite an insensitive question to ask IMO! Really hope you get your BFP soon! X

Millie9019 · 13/02/2017 21:29

Its the same with us. Been trying for 3 years and I'm too scared to see the doc. Trying this for a few months and then I need to get the courage if it doesn't work.
I'm gonna stop taking the tabs too... not worth it when I've been so regular.
I don't think my DH understands much when I'm talking about cycles etc... and I dont have anyone else to talk to as its hush hush.
Sick of being asked when we are having kids....

Fingers crossed for the lube ladies!!!!

ethelfleda · 13/02/2017 21:24

I'm using the luber this month too!
I'm glad to have people to discuss it with - nobody knows that we are trying. We are keeping it very secret! But it is definitely nice to have the support!

Autumn0909 · 13/02/2017 21:12

How scary that a doctor advised you not to take them sunbird! I have two left in my packet and I'll be throwing them away! I've been using Conceive Plus for a while but no luck yet.
Millie, I hope you get a better test and a BFP!

I'm glad i have ppl to talk about this with...

starsinyourpies · 13/02/2017 20:41

Have you tried the lubes that are meant to help? Worked for me!!

Plus Fertility Lubricant Tube 75ml www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B002V0ZJ4Y/ref=cmswrcpapi_DNHOyb97XXVG5

Millie9019 · 13/02/2017 20:11

I've chucked it now but absolutely no line except the control... I've looked at other threads and ppl have the faintest line but nope... not for me...

Sshsecretenclosed · 13/02/2017 19:52

What did your test stick look like? BFN?

Millie9019 · 13/02/2017 19:47

That's exactly what I'm thinking... stop taking them and get something else.... I'm normally very regular..
I could get another 1 tomorrow... I'm an anxious person but I'm trying to not freak out over it and buy loads of tests...

Sshsecretenclosed · 13/02/2017 19:35

Oh goodness me - I'm worrying I should stop taking these now!
