Hello. Im currently 3-4 DPO (days post ovulation) with AF/BFP (Aunt Flo/Big Fat Positive) due 22-25th Feb! Did plenty baby dancing so fingers crossed and have promised myself not to symptom spot or go Google crazy this time. Ive also swore not to test until 18th Feb ... Do i have anyone in similar place so we can support each other and talk (while avoiding google lol) xx

Thanks ladies! I wish conceive plus was a magic potion!! I've actually just realised I've called it totally the wrong thing - it's actually called pre-seed (god knows how I got that so wrong). It's a fertility friendly lubricant. It's supposed to mimic EWCM so in theory makes the journey up to the egg easier for the sperm. God knows if it works or not but a friend swore by it after 3 mc's. I kind of thought 'in for a penny' this month.

I caught myself checking back at my photos of my tests when I was last pregnant earlier working out how early I had a BFP. Guessing I'm not going to dodge that whole 'getting obsessed' thing!

I also wanted to say I'm sorry to hear of all of the losses you ladies have experienced. It's just so awful to lose a baby - just heartbreaking xx

OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 21:46

pingus hoping you dont get the bug! Ladies ive read online that occasionally the ovulation kits can pick up slight LH at any point, as we all carry a bit but some more than others. You only have two surges (ie previous failed ovulation) if you get two definite positives (same colour or darker test line) I am thinking that as my last peak was so clear that i dont think it could get darker that i am maybe just someone who carries a little LH high normally? Xx btw i am loving the support in here xx

pingu hope the bug stays away from you!

teaandbics · 12/02/2017 21:29

appleseed what a lovely message. You're right, it's really comforting to see all of the support, positivity and encouragement here. I have absolutely everything crossed for all of us!

It's weird about opks isn't it? Especially when they start showing you're ovulating again. It's so confusing. This month I had one flashing face and then the next day had a solid smiley face showing peak. I had 6 days of flashing last month before peak showed. So my body still seems to be doing strange things and I'm not holding out too much hope this month.

welsh I'm intrigued, what is conceive plus? Sounds like a magic potion I need to be finding out about! Smile

PingusMistress · 12/02/2017 20:52

welsh I used one steps when I got pregnant with DD and got a BFP at 14 dpo, didn't test before that. And the tests got darker over the following days, which was reassuring. I've still got them in a bag in my wardrobe and they still have the lines on, 3.5 years later! So I've bought a shed load more this time! According to the packet they are more sensitive now too, my older ones were 20 thingies per wotsit and the new ones are 10. But I've also heard mixed reviews.

Had cramping today, thought it may have been implantation but then DH started with a D&V bug, so worried it might be that instead. Desperately hoping that he keeps it to himself! Would not be good for potential beans.

SheDancesOnTheSand · 12/02/2017 20:15

Welsh I'm only 8dpo and I have a long cycle. Last time I didn't get any symptoms until 3 days before AF so realistically need to wait another 5 days before POAS. I've told myself I'll wait until AF is due as I've only got the electronic tests left that take the fun of peering at different angles for a slight glimmer of hope away!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can't hold back on offers and also early POAS!

appleseedpip · 12/02/2017 19:36

So sad to hear all the losses in this thread :( (Welsh, NannyGR, Pingu, Shedances, emsler and teaandbics I cannot even imagine how hard it must have been to lose your boy so late Flowers) but it gives me so much faith that we're all here supporting and staying positive together after sadness and hearthache. Fingers, toes, arms, legs and eyes all crossed for all us 2wwaiters!

Onnatures I'm trying so hard to not get my hopes up too! I hope you don't mind me asking but why do you plan to take a 2 month break?

I'm symptom spotting like crazy too :S have had mild constant cramping since last night and carried on today.. I'm comparing my dates/symptoms to the last time I was pregnant too ahh!

I'm actually planning to test on the 24th!! (one day after my AF due date). It's the only way I can think to do it without sitting and squinting at early hpts for days on end! I'd rather just have a definite negative or positive plus saving the pennies on hpts :S

Also teaandbics for the first time I used an OPK this cycle (boots own) to track my ovulation after my MC and showed that I potentially ovulated twice too, first time I thought oh crap I may have JUST missed the boat (as it looked like I had ovulated WAY early) but then I carried on testing the following days out of curiosity and it peaked again. Ah well it has a mind of it's own at the moment..

welsh DH and I took preconception support vitamins his and hers (boots own) on our first cycle of TTC and got pregnant straight away (though sadly ended in MMC). I've just carried on taking my prenatal vitamins throughout on the advice of the midwife and DH has taken a weeks worth of vitamins left over from that packet but we'll see what happens. Can't really compare it to anything else as we haven't had a cycle trying without :S.

Sorry to hear about the bfn shedances. How many dpo are you?

I'm 8 dpo tomorrow and know I'll not resist testing tomorrow morning. Don't feel pregnant in the slightest but bought a shed load of those cheap one step tests on Amazon which keep staring at me from the bathroom cabinet. Are they a bit useless though? I've read mixed things...

Also does anyone use conceive plus or anything like that? We used it for the first time this month. Just wondered if you used it every time you DTD if using solely to aide conception or whether just during the fertile period? Not that it matters but at £18 a pop I'm not wanting to splash it around liberally! X

teaandbics · 12/02/2017 17:39

nature that sounds like a good plan. Ha, yes I'm sure DH is happy! Let us know how the opks go

teaandbics · 12/02/2017 17:37

Hello purple and shedances. Hi everyone else.

shedances sorry about your bfn but early days so fingers crossed. Just wanted to say that your are not alone in the no restraint stakes. Last month I stopped myself from buying any tests before 12dpo after the previous month of testing madness. But the urge to poas, any kind of stick, was way too strong so I was using my opks as that was all I had in the house...me and restraint are not good friends Smile

OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 16:27

shedances sorry about the BFN , that said its still very early for you. Definitely not out the game just yet. Boots got me with that deal too so i have lots lying about but i must resist!

OP posts:
SheDancesOnTheSand · 12/02/2017 16:22

Nature... I may POAS this morning Blush I just couldn't help myself, I knew it would be negative but was feeling down and that voice in my head said why not, it could cheer you up! Hmm

It doesn't help that I have loads of tests lying around thanks Boots and their 3 for 2 last time I popped in to buy 1... When I got my BFP last time I didn't actually test until 3 days after AF was due. I have obviously lost all restraint xx

OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 14:48

Hi purple id test 10-14 days after ovulation xx

OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 14:46

rufus never diagnosed, no. I have had cysts before though 😕

OP posts:
OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 14:45

tea ill just need to keep a eye on it see if it increases. DP is loving all the baby dancing, normally after ovulation i hate it as my boobs hurt too much but the ache is gone today! I might need to delay my pg test x

OP posts:
Rufus200 · 12/02/2017 14:43

nature on natural cycles I can get 3 rounds of positive opks but that is because of my PCOS. I don't ovulate with any of them. Have you got PCO?

PurpleTygrrr · 12/02/2017 14:11

Can I join too? I'm only 2 dpo and not really sure when to test as my cycles have been all over the place since coming off the pill in August. I only know I ovulated this month due to having a peak smiley face on the clear blue test! Not sure when to test really! I'm slightly worried I'm getting my hopes up a bit as this is our first month TTC. I wish I was one of those people who could just relax and see what happens!

teaandbics · 12/02/2017 14:10

Sorry posts crossed. Yes maybe that's it. Testing again makes sense.

teaandbics · 12/02/2017 14:06

nature - just a thought; I've read that opks can detect pregnancy hormones, but it'd be pretty early for that wouldn't it? Could just dtd anyway, so you're covered? It can't hurt!

OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 14:06

Ill maybe test again tomorrow night. I had a peak CB test and IC 4-5 days ago but maybe the egg didnt fall? It was a IC this morning, spur of the moment thing x

OP posts:
teaandbics · 12/02/2017 13:56

They really are.

That's strange isn't it? Was it an IC? I did have a couple of months of opks (clearblue damned flashing face!) showing me as ovulating twice in a month but my body was all out of whack after I lost my baby. Are you going to test again?

OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 13:42

tea yeah, they are very observative even at such a young age. XxX Im aiming for 18th, i took another ovulation test today as my temperature dropped this morning and it came back with a faint test line so im not sure whats going on. 😕

OP posts:
teaandbics · 12/02/2017 13:36

nature, thank you. Yes, it's been a heartbreaking time for us all to lose our baby boy so late, and starting again down the ttc journey is very hard. I know it must be for all the ladies here who have suffered losses. My little boy is doing pretty well, bless him. He's only 3, so the enormity of what happened hasn't hit him. But he comes out with things every now and then which make us realise how much he does understand and how hard it has been for him Sad. Thank you for asking Flowers

Hmm...well I'd like to wait until at least 19th to test. But I'm terrible and start twitching once I get past 8 or 9 days so I'll need a lot of taking down!! You're aiming for 18th aren't you?

OnNaturesCourse · 12/02/2017 13:29

rufus hopefully you feel better soon. Last month i had sore boobs from ovulation right through to AF, and my temp stayed high, but woke this morning and the achy boobs have gone plus my temp has dropped over the last few days so im keeping my hopes low. Ive got the start of a cold too😷 cx
