Hello. Im currently 3-4 DPO (days post ovulation) with AF/BFP (Aunt Flo/Big Fat Positive) due 22-25th Feb! Did plenty baby dancing so fingers crossed and have promised myself not to symptom spot or go Google crazy this time. Ive also swore not to test until 18th Feb ... Do i have anyone in similar place so we can support each other and talk (while avoiding google lol) xx

Hello all,

Sorry for the radio silence. Also very sorry about the bfns (although all pretty early so there's still lots of hope!) and especially those who are out now Sad. (Thank you for starting the thread nature and I'm really sorry). I bloody hate the roller coaster of the 2ww.

I'm totally confused as I kept testing with the opks and according to clearblue (purple flashing face one) I'm having high fertility again. A week after a solid smiley?!? No idea what that means, but as I had the same thing happen in the 3 months of tracking my cycle after I lost my baby, I'm wondering if my body keeps gearing up to ovulate but it's then not happening. But as AF is due next week, I can't see it. Who knows. This ttc is such a f&cker

welsh your message really resonated. It's a year in July since I lost my baby boy and I really wanted to conceive before then as it'll be such a low and a ray of hope will be so needed. I'm feeling like it's not going to happen for me. It's still early though, and I have everything crossed for you. For all of us xx

Have a feeling I may not make the weekend testing plan!! apple talk me down Grin

emsler · 17/02/2017 12:01

I'm 11DPO, AF due on the 21st and I'm desperately trying to hold out until then before testing, even though I have some of the symptoms I had last time I was pregnant (MMC) - poor sleep (either not sleeping or crazy dreams), tender boobs, headaches, the odd bit of heartburn, sore back and this morning I was almost sick. BUT we're trying to buy a house so it could also be stress related. Argh!

tuxie11 · 17/02/2017 10:25

I've woken up with the sweats and the most greasiest hair I've ever had in my life. It's disgusting!!
I also have really raised Montgomery tubercles (is that right?!)

Who said TTC was an attractive feat 😂

AJE84 · 17/02/2017 09:32

I've had lots of the usual pre-period cramps and spotting so I'm expecting AF this time next week. Boo. So I'm probably going to have a glass of red tonight! Does anyone else secretly hope they're one of the very small minority who continue to have their period whilst unknowingly being pregnant?!?! Lol!!!

Pingus, I did the same and got a bfn too. I know it is way too early but couldn't help myself! There is still hope for us yet!

PingusMistress · 17/02/2017 08:16

BFN for me this morning, but it is a bit early I think and was just with an out of date IC I had hanging around. Will try to hold out until Sunday now, the day I originally set in my head as the earliest possible positive!

PingusMistress · 16/02/2017 22:19

Hee hee AJE that is a good response! Maybe not one for an elderly relative though Grin

Sorry to hear about the BFNs but most seem pretty early so there is still hope, surely? nicnac it is pretty hard to see if there is a line or not but why not do another tomorrow and post a pic? kool too!

hans I suspect I'll be joining you with the steak and wine next weekend. I'm going on a girlie spa weekend so I'll either have AF and feel crappy and not want to go in the pool much, or I'll have a BFP and not be able to go in the sauna or jacuzzi! I know which I prefer though.

HansSolo22 · 16/02/2017 18:47

Sorry to everyone getting bfn's this week. I don't seem to have had any of the usual symptoms today so I'm preparing for bad news next week when the inevitable happens. I'm consoling myself with the fact that at least I'll be able to have rare steak and a couple of glasses of wine when I go away next weekend. It's not really helping though! Fingers crossed for everyone still waiting, someone must get some good news soon!!

KoolKoala07 · 16/02/2017 18:16

Sorry to hear of all of your bfn. Well af due tomorrow. I couldn't resist poas today, I think there is a very very faint line. Not sure if I'm just seeing what I want to see iyswim? Terrible lower back ache for most of the week and feeling a little yukky. Probably af symptoms. Really don't want to get my hopes up.

WelshMammy123 · 16/02/2017 15:22

Hi ladies,

Sorry for the bfn's - it's just crap isn't it? I'm 11 dpo and did another FRER this morning and it's a bfn for me as well. Feeling so deflated. I really wanted to conceive before my lost baby's due date which is early April. I really don't think it's going to happen and then I just don't know how I'll get through her due date. Urgh it's just all too hard x

reluctantlondoner · 16/02/2017 10:15

I am out too, good luck to everyone left x

AJE84 · 16/02/2017 09:19

Sorry to hear the Harry.

Pingus - that's hilarious! Part of me wants to make it as awkward as possible for the person questioning me. If they say "it'll be you next!" I might reply with "what will?" (quizzical face) and make them explain what they mean. Also tempted to ask back "are you asking about my sex life?! Shall we talk about yours too?!"
X

Sorry to hear that harry 😞😟. Xxx

Sorry to hear that Harry. Good luck for the next cycle!!

harryandharry · 16/02/2017 03:05

Well, I'm out already. Good luck to everyone else x

PingusMistress · 15/02/2017 22:02

Uh oh... just read the thread about a faint BFP on an IC at 6DPO that has now been confirmed. I am 8DPO with a bag full of ICs in the wardrobe. Must... resist...

Loving the symptom spotting that is going on! I had no symptoms when pg before so that could be a sign too!

AJE84 I sympathise with those awkward questions about being next at family events. I'd been with DH for 12 years before starting a family and people just didn't seem to realise that jokey comments might not be so funny for the recipient. So many people struggle with infertility and MCs, it amazes me how unaware and tactless some people can be. I read somewhere that you should say something like "yes we are having lots of unprotected sex, I'll let you know next time I whip my knickers off" but ive never dared say it!

NannyGR · 15/02/2017 21:45

Sorry been quiet the last few days ladies!!

Sorry to hear about all the bfn!! It still is really early days at the moment though so fingers crossed for all you lovely ladies.

Currently 6dpo and soo tempted to test.... never had this urge before but think it's because I have tests sitting in my bathroom cabinet. Am going to try and hold out until after due (22nd)

Not really been symptom spotting but thinking about it I have had lower back ache for a few days now, waves of nausea and constantly peeing!!! I go alot normally but it has definatly been more often this week!

Here's hoping for lots of bfp next week!!!

AJE84 · 15/02/2017 21:21

Evening all! I've had a few minor twinges in my abdomen which I usually get a bit later on in my cycle. Had a pounding headache too which I think is down to not drinking enough water.

Got a family event Friday evening where I'm anticipating being asked if I'm 'next' as both of my younger brothers have had their firsts recently. And even if no one asks, I still feel a pressure! Short of telling my nosy aunt to go do one, any helpful suggestions to deflect unwanted questions?!

X

OnNaturesCourse · 15/02/2017 21:14

We all sound a bit fun down at the moment!

I remember last time that I got the same crampy feeling exactly the same time. I tested too early and it was negative but I felt like I just knew and then tested 4 days later and it was positive. I promised myself I wouldn't think about it too much this time but it's impossible!! Glad I'm not the only one due 23rd, fingers crossed for us all that we will get some happy news then!
