Sounds like promising Basset. Got everything crossed for you!

Pyjamas81 · 12/02/2017 12:15

Well he's gone out and I'm holed up in the spare room (aka my woman cave) - what a great weekend. Really disappointing as I thought he'd seen sense last night, but no, it's he's got even more ridiculous. The stupid thing is, I would rather do anything other than dtd now, which I suspect affects our chances more than a sodding 0.5% beer. Argh - sorry everyone, hopefully it's resolved soon and I can stop moaning about it! It must be something else - but if he won't tell me, his stupid reasons for digging at me are just pissing me off more.

That could be good basset! But yes, v sensible to not get hopes up! Impossible, I know.

Zohz - have you used OPKs and temping to pinpoint when you ovulate?

bassetmum · 12/02/2017 12:10

Oops posted too soon.

Pjs definitely sounds like something is bothering him.

Kaydee2017 · 12/02/2017 11:58

Basset that sounds promising! When is AF due?? Fx!!

bassetmum · 12/02/2017 11:25

Well ladies that random bleeding yesterday stopped pretty much as quickly as it started. The cramps have gone too. Bit strange but trying not to get excited that it could ib.

OP posts:
Kaydee2017 · 12/02/2017 11:16

Sounds like he's just got a bee in his bonnet pyjamas! I think he is by far asking too much!! Think like flora suggested - maybe it's something else & just manifesting itself in this argument??

Zohz123 · 12/02/2017 10:54

Joined the last thread before it finished so here I go again:

Age 24
Cycle 11
Ttc #1

Never used contraception, don't drink or smoke, nothing known to be "wrong"

Why is it taking so long?

florafoxtrot · 12/02/2017 10:46

That's annoying PJs but sounds like something else is bugging him as like you say - nanny state is non-alcoholic and you disproved that study he found and he accepted it?! Maybe just try to keep out of his way until he's gotten himself out of the bad mood? Or challenge him and find out what the actual problem is. Hope you're ok though.

Pyjamas81 · 12/02/2017 10:44

He's just being a dick kaydee

It's got 0.5% in it, which legally classes it as non-alcoholic. He doesn't understand why I have to drink it at all as the alcohol content is next to nothing. Because I like the taste and I wanted to stock up on a few for the three weeks I'm not fucking drinking!!!! Arrrrgh. Just can't believe he's being such a knob!

Kaydee2017 · 12/02/2017 10:30

Ah sorry pyjamas Flowers do you think it's something he just can't get out of his head now he's read it? And also, am I missing something if it's non-alcoholic???

Pyjamas81 · 12/02/2017 10:24

Spoke too soon - DH going to Sainsbury's and asked if I wanted anything, I said some Nanny State would be nice (a great non-alcoholic beer) and he snapped 'you can get your own drinks'. I asked what on earth could be the problem with Nanny State and he said why do you need it, why can't you just drink something else? Er, because it tastes nice and has F all to do with anyone else?! Then says 'look, I'm just not pro-alcohol' which laughable considering the piss head he's been up until about 2 days ago. Sigh...

blanketfort · 12/02/2017 09:23

I'm so happy to hear that you're all made up pjs and that your DH saw the light!! Sounds like you had a bloody lovely evening too.

Flora a bucket load of prosecco sounds like the best birthday ever

And hiya mango!

Pyjamas81 · 12/02/2017 08:44

Well ladies, a lovely lady on another thread came to the rescue with 2016 study, which I shoved in DH's face when he said 'show me one thing which says it's fine and I'll change my tune' (here's the link in case anyone is interested www.bmj.com/content/354/bmj.i4262/rapid-responses )

He immediately apologised, gave me huge hugs, took me out to dinner and insisted I have my favourite cocktail (espresso martini)! He said he feels helpless and reading that old study made him want to help me by getting me to stop drinking entirely. He now realises that it wasn't the best way to support me. So glad we're not fighting anymore - that was stressful!

Love the 'suck it' mentality blissful - that's exactly how I feel sometimes!

Any news basset?

Great to hear you had great birthday fun Flora! Always good to let your hair down 😁

AF has gone (lasted 2 days again) and we're back to dtd today - we're going for every other day until end of FW then every couple of days after. Still not temping and getting DH to hide opks - feel better already!

florafoxtrot · 11/02/2017 22:58

Evening ladies! And thank you for all the birthday wishes! I can confirm I had a bucket load of prosecco and a lot of laughs and am now feeling much better about life in general! To recap:

31 (newly!)
TTC #1
Cycle 8
CD7

Hope you got things sorted with hubby PJs. Those drinks will have made sod all difference and were probably out of your system by the time you got home! Think it's all part of the general being healthy thing and a couple of drinks doesn't automatically make you unhealthy. I think one of the biggest issues is stress and drink can relieve that so really you were probably helping your chances! 😜
Urgh, baby bombs. My former boss announced her pregnancy this week and it's now all we hear about - to the extent that she only came in for 2 hours yesterday because it was snowing... and she was worried. Skiver.
Fx Basset, hope she keeps the hell away.
Thanks again for the birthday wishes and kind words, I've pulled myself together!

Kaydee2017 · 11/02/2017 21:57

Welcome mango!

Bliss I love your attitude!! Have had 2 bottles with DH tonight, also thinking suck it!!

Fx for you basset - you're not out until the witch appears!!!

Sorry about the baby bomb JeNe Flowers and fx for your tests!

CD3 & on the first wait of the month - waiting for AF to do one!! Fx for all!!

JeNeBaguetteRien · 11/02/2017 18:39

I meant to say it was lovely to see update from Kirsty, so pleased things are going well. Thinking of cute little Norwegian baby clothes.

Sorry AF has got so many in the last few days. When she comes to me she really takes her time to start "properly" so I find it hard to know when to count as CD1. I had a strange AF envy when Kaydee said she arrived at 2:30 though obviously wish she hadn't come at all.

JeNeBaguetteRien · 11/02/2017 18:34

I'm Baguette
Aged 36 (nearly 37) on CD26 of too many cycles

Hope Flora managed to have a good birthday 🎂.
To all you doing skirting boards I feel your pain. One of the many reasons I want to get PG is just to avoid boring DIY like that as I can tell DH won't want me doing that whilst upduffed Smile.

Sorry to hear about your argument PJs, I suppose your DH is just stressed by TTC but you are in it together. And wine before a BFP isn't going to make a difference, as for when AF visits wine is a given in the Baguette residence.

I'm not holding out much hope this month, or at all really but waiting for the result of 2nd progesterone test and will take it from there. I'm just a bit peeved as I thought we'd have a baby by now and have had another baby bomb in work (her 4th, a surprise!) but going to indulge later.

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the weekend and maybe we'll hear good news from Hippy soon.

yellowfrontdoor · 11/02/2017 18:12

Hi mango!
*
Pie hunter* I have on average a 38 day cycle, so even though I'm 13/14dpo I'm waiting until next weekend. Next AF is predicted for the 21st, so I'll test Saturday with a FR.
Over the last 10 days I've had dull cramps, very sore boobs & nips and headaches. All signs is usually associate with AF, but they're starting to wear off a bit now so not sure what to think? I was googling phantom pregnancy the other day, to be honest I hope I'm not going mad! Confused

bassetmum · 11/02/2017 17:49

Well I think I might be out girlies. Cd26 and possibly 10dpo. Ive just been to loo to find bright red blood. Although without being tmi it didn't have the same consistency of af. Cramping a little now. Guess its just a waiting game now to see if the witch arrives full throttle.

Pjs i cant imagine a few units here or there will hurt. You cant stop living your life because of ttc.

Welcome mango.

OP posts:
Blissfulignorance · 11/02/2017 17:33

Pjs my DH has mentioned my 'drinking' too. I told him to suck it straight away it's my body my rules.

Also that study is wayyyy out of date. Therefore not relevant. Sometimes it's easier just to try and compromise. You could say I'll stick to 2 glasses on the day of af then not drink again?

Personally I have a glass when I want one. I'm out tonight with the work lot and I'm planning on having many more than 5 units. But we all know how I feel about TTC now, it can also suck it.

Piehunter · 11/02/2017 17:14

Eep pj's I think I've of walloped him with the book 😬 one week a month is not going to make the difference, it's stressful and sometimes you just need to be able to forget! I hope you can come to a truce so your weekend isn't ruined.

eva I get the feeling that something is wrong, we've only been trying since June but I know I have cysts on at least one of my ovaries, in December one exploded and this month again I can feel one- the pain is unique!- and that DH's brother had to have an op before they conceived (blockage).
At least once skirting boards are done they don't need doing ever again Grin or that's what I tell myself!

mango welcome!

yellow how long do you have to wait to test?

Pyjamas81 · 11/02/2017 16:58

I know Eva - ridiculous!! I've basically just told him he can either apologise and stop being a sulking child or leave me the hell alone for the rest of the weekend.

That seems like healthy mindset to have - hopefully you get some answers soon Smile

Step away from the sticks yellow!!

Welcome to the madness mango!

MissMango100 · 11/02/2017 16:06

Hi, can I join?

Age 38 (a concern)
Cycle 1
CD11

Currently in fertile week. I went into this TTC business casually thinking 'if it happens, it happens'. I'm generally happy in life anyway. .......yeah right, why am a buying ovulation tests and monitoring my cycle then??!

yellowfrontdoor · 11/02/2017 15:26

Eva I have internet cheapies, a FR & a CB digital in my drawer.

Just thinking about them makes me want to pee! 😂

I must hold out!!!!

Eva30 · 11/02/2017 14:50

pjs "I'm concerned about your drinking" 😂😂 he's blown it way out of proportion! The paragraph says less than 5 units is ok and you only had a few!! I hope he comes around quickly and you can salvage your weekend together.

Not too bad thanks, I already programme myself every month to think it's not happened so now I feel like it's just a process thing to get to 12 months TTC to see what's going on. Just need AF to hurry up now.

yellow sounds promising! Hats off to you because I'm addicted to poas.
Thanks kaydee
