I think I'll join in on the organ selling ha ha

Glad bladdercam didn't show anything worrying pie, but hope you get definite answers and treatment soon.

Good luck loxy!

That's really bloody annoying baguette - but hopefully still in with a chance!

I booked our appointment to discuss ivf with our fertility specialist for 15th May - come on Sod's law!!

Piehunter · 05/04/2017 00:17

flora cycles are just weird with much spotting and v short LP as well as cysts..!

blissful if you send me the listing I can bump the price up for that kidney Wink nice bit of scam bidding! I'm sorry it's getting to the ivf point for you Flowers

Oh baguette how bloody irritating...!! Again, really sorry your body isn't playing by the rules Angry

loxy fx for you!

Bladdercam showed nothing of interest so it's "just" a diagnosis of neurogenic bladder now, have declined further testing as urologist said it wouldn't change management so I'll just continue to self catheterise! Waiting on lumbar puncture when I eventually see latest neurologist as whilst my brain scans over last 10(!) years aren't typical they want to fully rule out MS as I'm getting more and more nerve involvement body wide. MS would be one of the better diagnoses really, at least there are some treatments available!

Blissfulignorance · 04/04/2017 21:31

I was careful Eva nobody pays that much attention at work it's a mad house.

My result was 55 the result page said it needs to be greater than 30 so looks like I've ov'd, just saw some threads with results nearer 100 and wondered what the 'norm' might have been.

Anyway lots of cramps and brown spotting today she will arrive tomorrow and I will list my kidney on eBay to pay for ivf.

Good luck loxy fingers crossed to those others waiting.

Also interested to see how you got on pie

Loxy4527 · 04/04/2017 19:51

Baguette Aw, bad timing! Hopefully there's still time :)

She's stayed away so far. Confession: I may have found myself in the preggo test aisle at ASDA. But! I didn't get any, none were on offer! So expensive when they're full price. Will hunt around this week, see if I can find a bargain, haha! Gives AF more time to pounce if she's gonna.

florafoxtrot · 04/04/2017 17:26

Fx for you Loxy

JeNeBaguetteRien · 04/04/2017 14:53

P. S. Loxy (and everyone else waiting) hope AF stays the hell away.

JeNeBaguetteRien · 04/04/2017 14:52

I've had the day 21 tests twice, first time the result was 24. My GP said under 15 was no ovulation, 15-30 was equivocal and over 30 was ovulation. The repeat test 2 months later I got 43.
Be careful as you need to check the reference values used by the lab.

Got my static smiley face on Clearblue Opk yesterday morning. About 5 minutes before DH headed to airport for work trip. 😠
DTD on Sunday and will pounce on him in the morning when he gets home just in case there's still a chance but so peeved about the timing of the trip. Have been having acupuncture this month and giving it our best shot and then work gets in the way. (We were aiming for Sperm meets egg plan 3 days at ovulation time).

Anyway onwards and upwards. Next month is our (self-imposed) deadline and then I think we need to take further action. Fluctuating between hopeful and OMG this will never happen. Trying to stay on the hopeful side or I'll go mad!

Pie any progress after bladder cam?

Loxy4527 · 04/04/2017 11:03

Morning ladies! Nothing happening here yet. No AF, no symptoms, no cramps. I swear whoever said ignorance is bliss has never tried to get pregnant. Bah! Feel like I'm tempting fate by posting, she's probably waiting for me to click send.

Hmmm.

Eva30 · 04/04/2017 09:54

Yeah bliss my doc told me they look for above 20 and mine was 43 so they were happy. Be careful looking up your own results, it's a dismissive offence. Someone at my place got sacked for itShock

Piehunter · 04/04/2017 07:46

bliss the one thing I have gleaned is that I think they look for a number around 20 to prove that you've ov'd? I saw it on another thread. Have you got an appt set up for blood results?

Blissfulignorance · 03/04/2017 21:08

Hello all

Sorry to those who've got Af and those feeling shitty.

I'm currently 11dpo cd 25 and have usual pre Af rage and cramps. DH is actually being rather nice but I'm finding it super irritating and almost clingy. Not sure which situation is worse. Anyway I was sneaky at work today and looked up my blood results. Stupid idea really as I still don't know what they mean.

If those of you who've had day 21 bloods would you mind sharing what your result is? I'm finding mixed results on google and I can't ask any colleagues without outting my TTC secret.

KittyKat73 · 03/04/2017 19:38

Thanks ladies, love this website to have a good moan and vent! definately keeping me sane.

Im pretty sure this month is a write off anyway I have no idea when/ if i have ovulated and we havent DTD very much recently. If im having a christmas baby ill be changing my stat name to the virgin mary! Grin .

Loxy that sounds like a good plan hope you get a BFP on friday :) Flora Sorry AF got you Flowers sorry to hear your feeling a bit blue too. Pjs sorry to hear you and DH had a fight about all this Flowers the counseling sounds like a good idea though if your both willing to benefit you both and hopefully mend any old wounds all the TTC may have created. The headspace app sounds really good! I think i might give it a try myself :) Pie FX the ultrasound gives you some answers and doctors are able to come up with a plan for you and your partner :)

boo to baby bombing! until its us thats doing it Grin

Pyjamas81 · 03/04/2017 18:20

Oh I hope you like headspace flora - I really like his voice and the non-hippy non-plinky plonky music-ness (if you see what I mean) of it all. Amazing how much those 10 minutes helped me today.

florafoxtrot · 03/04/2017 17:32

I've got it downloaded PJs wonder if it counts as a hobby for DH's sake!

Sorry you're struggling too Pie. Are your cycles really long or short? And very frustrating that those surgeries have left damage. Really hope the ultrasound helps and thereafter a plan is made.

Piehunter · 03/04/2017 17:24

Eva hopefully the concoction will do it's magic, thinking of you.

Sorry pj's and flora that you and others are having a tough time at the moment Sad I think ttc is tough all round, men feel like they should only have to look at a woman to get them pregnant!

I've also pretty much given up hope of it happening naturally as there's quite clearly something wrong with my cycles. I have severe internal scarring in my pelvis and abdomen from appendicitis complications which I feel likely have a part to play. Hoping that the ultrasound at the end of the month sheds some light.. In the meantime I'm coming up to fertile week and I'm still having a lot of pelvic pain that is not making sex appealing... Urgh! Baby bombed twice on Facebook in the last week too.

Pyjamas81 · 03/04/2017 16:20

Not heartless at all flora - that sounds like a much better way of dealing with it than what I do at the moment!

Headspace is an app you can download for meditation - it's excellent. You get 10 free days of 10 minute meditations, then if you subscribe (about £6 a month) you get access to a whole load of other meditations for relationships, health, stress, anxiety, TTC etc. It's really great and was a definite turning point for me today for turning down the volume on terrible thoughts!

florafoxtrot · 03/04/2017 14:01

No probs PJs - without sounding heartless I just don’t really get upset by those arguments these days as I know it’s just a lack of understanding on his part and too many hormones on mine. I had my meltdown last night and hubby is offshore so I got peace to do so and might go for that going forward as it was nice to cry and lament without him to try to talk me down. And let’s be honest, even if you were flying out to the Maldives for a fortnight after an AF was due – you’d still be upset!!

Counselling before IVF sounds like a good plan though. Think we would do the same (even though I’ve not thought about it that much) because a) hubby needs to understand what we would be entering into and b) because he would then find out that all my negative thoughts are totally normal!

Meant to ask in the last comment about the Headspace stuff – how do you do that?

Pyjamas81 · 03/04/2017 13:43

That's EXACTLY it flora, he just doesn't understand why I don't plan things in advance to stop me being upset, well because sometimes I just need to feel sodding sad for a damn bit! Sorry it happens to you as well, but I do feel better knowing I'm not the only one.

Yep bassett I think that's what part of the issue is for him as well - hormonal women are a totally alien concept to him. He'd better grow the F up soon. I think we just need to stay away from each other when AF arrives, I can't deal with this much upset every month. We do need to sort it out though - hormones aren't going to be any better during IVF and if we do get to pregnancy, I'm sure they'll be a treat then as well.

florafoxtrot · 03/04/2017 13:19

Thanks ladies, I'll be OK. Just with each month that passes I start to worry more that something is wrong with us.

PJs my husband is exactly the same and it always leads to arguments too as he can't understand why I get upset and why sometimes being upset is the best thing as you feel better after a good cry. He keeps suggesting that I should find a hobby to take my mind off things... bearing in mind I have a full time pretty demanding job, exercise about 3 times a week and have a collection of mad pals to deal with. I think it is just that they really don't like to see us upset and that they have this real need to try to fix things. I'm not sure this helps but just wanted you to know that the same thing happens in my house every month and you're not alone.
And maybe we should think of some sort of joint anti-sadness, non-existent hobby to keep our husbands happy!

Loxy4527 · 03/04/2017 12:55

Sorry Flora, hope you feel better about things soon x

Pjs I have to admire your patience and willingness to work things out after all you've been through. Hope things improve and you can approach IVF together on more solid ground xxx

bassetmum · 03/04/2017 12:38

Sorry af got you flora.

Loxy fx for you.

Kitty I really hope that your cycles sort themselves out for you.

Pjs your situation sounds like mine re hormones. Today is my and OH 8 year anniversary and for 7 of those years I was on the pill so the cracking mood swings I have now been having are surprising him. I really hope you and DH can sort your relationship out. It definitely sounds like the stress is getting to you both. Having counselling sounds like a good thing to me.

I am in total agreement re if i couldn't vent here id go crazy.

Pyjamas81 · 03/04/2017 12:22

Ugh sorry AF got you flora - it's such a horrible time. Be kind to yourself xx

Don't worry at all about moaning kitty - I would have lost the plot months ago without being able to vent here!

Had a pretty difficult weekend with DH and a big fight yesterday because he just can't understand why I don't distract myself from feeling sad (I got AF on Saturday). After the big fight, I calmly explained to him that I do what I can to distract myself (went shopping, had a massage yesterday), but sometimes I just need to be able to feel sad for a bit and him making me feel shitter than I already do isn't helping anyone. I'm the first woman he's ever lived with and due to the implant I didn't have periods or hormonal mood swings for the first three years out of the four years we've been together, so this is all new to him. I've said that I'm not doing IVF unless we get counselling because we obviously need to work through some things. We made up last night, but I hardly slept at all because of a load of horrible thoughts whizzing through my head at light speed Sad. I'm currently sitting in a quiet room at work so I can avoid being in an open plan office all day - just did a 10 minute headspace session, and it really has helped.

florafoxtrot · 03/04/2017 11:43

Morning ladies, AF turned up for me over the weekend so its onto Cycle 10. Like Eva and PJs I am also feeling a bit resigned to the fact that we might need help. It's not really giving me much comfort at the moment though.
That sounds like a pretty tough weekend Kitty and you are well within your rights to feel a bit bruised by all the baby bombing and moaning SIL. Our niece is now 16 months old and absolutely dreading SIL announcing that she is expecting number 2 - I cried when she announced number 1 and I wasn't even actively TTC at that point. Sad
Urgh can't be arsed with anything today.

Loxy4527 · 03/04/2017 11:39

Hey, Kitty waiting till cd50? That's amazing, hope you manage it. Yeah, if we don't get preggo this month think I'll make an appointment and test the waters with GP. Last month was the first time I'd met him and he was very nice and understanding, even gave me his mobile so I could let him know if my phone consult went okay.

As for when I'll test? I'd said before I want to wait till Friday. We don't have any tests in the house so I'll have to actually go and buy one. The earliest I'd be able to test is Wednesday morning, if AF doesn't appear tomorrow. I'll be torn - between wanting a good clear result and needing to know asap. Also sick of wasting money on tests, haha

KittyKat73 · 03/04/2017 11:02

Hey everyone

CD23 not really sure what to expect if i have a "normal" 28 day cycle then AF should be here by the weekend but my first cycle after the pill was 42 days so not sure if it will go back to that after provera. Decided im going to give myself 50 days to let AF turn up before I do a test.

Felt a bit down over the weekend visited a few friends with new borns/ 1year olds plus SIL is due in June and spent a few days texting me complaing about pregnancy symptoms. Usually im pretty positive about everything and these things dont usually bother me in the slightest but it was litterally 1 day filled with 4 babys and 2 bumps and phone blowing up with complaints from SIL about being pregnant. Envy Envy ill get over it just having a moan but can totally relate to what your saying pjs and Basset about having a feeling deep down it wont happen. I was definately feeling that while surrounded by babies and bumps!

Zohz I agree with Pjs Could be ovulation spotting!

Eva FX the antibiotics and vitamins work for DH!

Loxy ooh you never know! how long will you wait before you test? with the early menopause id say theres no harm in going to your GP and expressing your concerns if anything for peace of mind :)
