Swim
I think perhaps your mc is ongoing! Sorry, I am sure I read somewhere that if AF is within 20 days of mc then it is not a true AF. I can't recall if you had natural or medical or surgical? Perhaps you have some retained tissues. I would give your EPU a call.

swim, yes, me. My regular cycle is 31 days but the first one after my MC was something like 25 or 26 (too lazy to look it up)

TeamLentil · 02/03/2017 05:00

fluffiny,

I didn't know pink cm is a sign

It's not, from all the rabid googling I did yesterday. Apparently, it's just a sign of ovulation. Had it been later, like 7dpo, it could have been implantation bleeding. But at least I know I ovulated...

swimchick1980 · 02/03/2017 01:10

Been off thread for a day and so much chat! Too much for me to reply to but unmumsnetty hugs to all!

Here on planet swim, not much had changed and I'm still *king bleeding. My EVA Period Tracker tells me AF is due in 8 days, little does EVA know I have had what appears to be AF for the past 6 days Angry! It's not getting any lighter, although had only ever been a medium type flow (day 3 or 4 of AF).

Still a bit of an emotional wreck, just into tears in the car for no apparent reason today.

Although I'm still desperate to get my BPF, right now I'd take being back to "normal". Think I'll give it another couple of days and then maybe phone the doctor.

Had anyone else had a really short cycle after their first AF after MC (CD15 and 4 dpo per OVPK for me)?

DontBuyANewMumCashmere · 01/03/2017 21:54

Been off this thread so long it dropped off my TIO...
Had my two week check after conservative management and I've stubbornly clung on to it like a baby's grab reflex. Ironically.
Going to book a SMM (surgical management of miscarriage - only heard this acronym today) next week after which I hope to return to normal asap.
Hate the constant spotting etc

Hope everyone else is OK. Often think of the people on this thread going through the same and worse.

I didn't know pink cm is a sign. Gosh I've got so much to learn. Makes me really realise how lucky i was to get my dd first time. Feel a bit like i shouldn't complain about my lost baby. Lentil I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
Anne this sounds promising.
Did you all have symptoms with all of your pregnancies? My first i had everything from very early on my second i didn't really have many. I had bloating and constipation and tiredness that was it really. Although before af was due i got darker urine and ulcers in my mouth. The only reason i tested was because i had implantation bleeding. I'm hoping for symptoms but don't even think I'm in the running how ridiculous is that.

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/03/2017 21:05

Hey lentil, symptom spotting and the 2ww is a complete shitter. Sorry you're having a tough time of it.

I've got awful heart burn and am so bloated I look like I've swallowed a beach ball. Just munched a rennie, they're grim. Had nausea all day but don't want to eat.

TeamLentil · 01/03/2017 20:39

Hi all - I've stayed away from the board for a little while because, just when I thought I was doing better, I got all depressed and hopeless about ever getting pregnant again and then the fear I'd have to live with, since it took us 3.5 years to conceive and then I went and miscarried.

But today, 3 dpo, I noticed pink CM and now I'm back on the TTC anguished symptom spotting wagon.

Not sure which is better Hmm

theotherendofthesockportal · 01/03/2017 20:25

@fliffiny31 b12 isn't iron but it is a kind of anaemia, for me it leaves me feeling tired and dizzy. It is not very well researched in the uk although a lot of us have it

Malteasers were amazing btw, and I have no guilt about it Grin

ZylaB · 01/03/2017 19:43

Ok, I think we're going to give it a try for two or three months and hope this whole "more fertile after a mc" thing is true. Then will rethink if not Pregnant.
Now I need to get a negative pregnancy test...sigh

Gracie17 · 01/03/2017 19:18

User I know I am blessed with my daughter and for that reason this mc was much less traumatic than my last emotionally as well as physically as my mc before DD I was terrified I wouldn't be able to have a child. However the only upside was I got pregnant easily in those days (2012/13) and now that is no longer the case.

FWIW I have a friend who is a midwife who sent me some research by Lesley Regan at St Mary's which says that after even up to 5 consecutive mc the chances of the next pregnancy being successful are more than 70%.

Gracie17 · 01/03/2017 19:06

Also can I ask what people think about baby aspirin? Is there any downside to taking it if/when preg? I have heard many many positive stories about this for recurrent miscarriage.

Anne, Fluff and everyone thank you for the warm welcome and 💐

user1480930113 · 01/03/2017 19:05

Thanks gracie I feel alot more positive now even though my erpc was only 3 weeks ago it feels a lot longer. My 4 year old keeps me busy and he reminds me if I never end up having another then that's OK as he is so amazing.
I know what you mean about peeing on the stick, bitter sweet isn't it! I was so relieved to see a negative so I knew that chapter was over and we could get cracking again x

Gracie17 · 01/03/2017 18:53

Fingers crossed for the old wives tale about fertility after miscarriage!

Gracie17 · 01/03/2017 18:52

Hello everyone and thank you. Peony and User I think we will try as soon as I get a negative. Two weeks tomorrow for me so will give it a go and p o the saddest stick ever 😥. I'm so sorry User that you had a loss after trying so long 💐🍷x

fluffiny31 · 01/03/2017 17:47

Miami its good that bloods are all good but i can imagine it being much nicer if it was a fixable problem.
Did you enjoy your malteasrs sock

Is b12 your iron?

MulderitsmeX · 01/03/2017 17:30

I agree miami, at least if you can fix a problem you know it will be better the next time.

What tests did they run btw? I only had thyroid and anemia tests. I might try and get some done.

Would fibroids show up in a regular ultrasound? I had one to see my uterus was clear and the scanning person said they were happy with my ovaries but not sure where fibroid would be?

keeponrunning85 · 01/03/2017 16:51

Miami I know how you feel. I was really hoping for an easily fixable problem when I went to the clinic. Instead all I got was off you go, keep trying, keep your fingers crossed and next time you can have reassurance scans at EPU. I was so disappointed to begin with but have reconciled myself with it now.

socks lying in bed eating malteasers sounds like an excellent use of your time!

fluffiny31 · 01/03/2017 15:37

Anne forgot to say thanks for the lovely sunshine ☀ Grin it's beautiful.

theotherendofthesockportal · 01/03/2017 15:36

Thank you @AnneLovesGilbert I've only been properly treated for b12 deficiency since September. I found a great support group on Facebook as sometimes I feel that my GP just doesn't understand the condition properly.

I feel a smidgen happier this afternoon, left work early for an opticians appointment which I whizzed through and I'm home before my husband. This is a rare hour or so to myself, which I'm using productively to lie in bed and eat malteasers.

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/03/2017 15:30

Go for it sock!

Never had sore boobs from it, no after effects apart from a sore arm and only sometimes. Sore boobs could be bfp symptoms, hope so for you Smile

I think I'm feeling a bit more peppy today and had my last one Monday. I find the worse I've been feeling before - e.g. if I've been run down or had af the week before - the longer it takes to feel better. I used to find the last two weeks dragged so GP changed it to 10 weekly, not 12 weekly.

My GP ordered full bloods when I was 5 or 6 weeks pg for a base line and they were good so she was happy for me to keep on 10 weekly. She was going to keep monitoring them and I could have had the jab more often if needed. I've had them for years as I don't absorb B12 any other way so my levels are pretty stable.

At my booking apt the midwife freaked out about it loads and said I had to be under consultant review (I also have another benign condition) but my RMC consultant isn't fussed about it at all.

theotherendofthesockportal · 01/03/2017 15:19

@AnneLovesGilbert as a fellow B12er, can I ask you a few questions?

Do you get sore boobs after an injection? Mine feel a bit sore, although I think I'm symptom spotting.

I've been feeling down since my injection on Monday, how long does it take your to feel better?

And finally, has your doctor spoken to you about b12 in pregnancy?

AnneLovesGilbert · 01/03/2017 15:11

Hey Miami, well, good there's nothing wrong, but absolutely understand the wanting something to fix because I'm in the same boat. Did they mention baby aspirin? And what about when you get your bfp, can they offer closer monitoring?

Keep chasing up the scan. I had a scan years ago for a suspected ovarian cyst. Turned out to be weird pain from my appendix scan, but they discovered a small fibroid. I'd totally forgotten about it till the MMC, and it seems to have disappeared as I've had loads of scans and it's not there.

Have you had them before?

Hope your weekend was fun!

Miami81 · 01/03/2017 15:06

Hi everyone.
Hello to new people and very sorry for your losses.
I rang the rmc today to see if they had my test results. So my bloods are absolutely normal for clotting function. I am slightly gutted, is it wrong that I wanted there to be something wrong that could be easily fixed.
So going it alone again. Apparently they forgot to book my scan for fibroids etc, so hopefully that comes through quickly.

I'm about a week behind as erpc was 4 weeks today but ov last week. Anne when you get your rainbow 🌈 enjoy that new scent as it does fly by, user that sounds interesting keep us updated I've had healing in the past for my emotional well-being but was a very long time ago when my partner died. I'm not using any apps until I'm pregnant. And as for testing i think I'll have af if it doesn't come by Tuesday I'll see how I feel.
