I couldn't see a March bus yet so I thought I'd get it going for all us early birds Grin

Here are my stats:

Age: 22
TTC: #2
BFP due: March 3rd

It's technically cycle 3 but we took last month off after cycle 1 resulted in chemical pregnancy :( so I'm eager to get on with it Grin

Anyone else joining me nice and ridiculously early on the March bus?

Addtothechaos I had a chemical pregnancy last cycle too and am testing on 15th of March, cycle twins!!

Foggymist · 25/02/2017 18:46

I'm on CD13, ov is supposed to be in two days. I've used opks this month for the first time, more to be doing something than anything else as I have conceived twice previously just using FW info on apps from inputting my cycle info. So I've used them the last 3 days as instructed, got a verrry faint positive yesterday and gone today, shouldn't they be a bit clearer than that by now?

Addtothechaos · 25/02/2017 18:19

Hi Ladies

I'm hopping onto March bus if that's ok as I'm due to test in March if af doesn't show up. Currently on Feb bus but it's slowed riggghht down!

Anyways, I got pos opk last Sunday 19th and also temping this month and plotting it onto fertility friend app. According to that app I am 4 DPO today which I guess seems about right!?!

Symptom wise - slightly sore boobs and quite tired. Had chem pg last month with these symptoms too but also get them with af so not really a good indicator of anything for me!

Going to hold out of af doesn't show up and test dh bday 15 th March if I can. Also, only Dtd day of first pos opk and I was oh so Ill Sad

Hope your all well and wishing you all luck and baby dust Flowers xx

Motherhippy16 · 25/02/2017 17:54

Thingyma I'm exactly the same! Horny as anything and my dh def knows that I'm in fw as I can't put him down. Think he's glad when the fw is over so he can have a break!

BBS83 · 25/02/2017 13:44

Supposed to read most people...my phone is just make words up now

BBS83 · 25/02/2017 13:43

I did think that it maybe implantation bleading thingymaboob was light but today it's normal so definately af.

allthecheese i know how you feel I turned 33 in December and we have been trying for over a year. I go though stages of it will happen when it happens right through to feeling like its never going to happen.

If you have just come off a contraceptive 55 day cycles is not a worry. Mosteoporosis people take a few months to regulate. I take Angus Castus, dup posed to help regulate your cycle. Think it shortened mine.

Cookie1831 · 25/02/2017 12:26

That makes sense thanks will get back on Amazon!!

allthecheese · 25/02/2017 10:47

Cookie I think the trouble with the cb OPKs are that they are so expensive you may not test as frequently as with cheapies so miss the fertie window. I think thats part of the problem I have with not catching when I am ovulating.

Thingama thanks, that makes me feel better. I have booked in an appointment at the docs as well to find out what's going on.

Thingymaboob · 25/02/2017 10:35

Allthecheese the month I got pregnant I didn't get a positive OPK. I've never had one but I know when I ovulate as I get incredibly horny like I'm on heat. I'll be doing something really mundane and suddenly I'll look at a man and think "I would, nice arse". Blush
I also get egg white mucous which is very elastic and very cold. For these reasons I'm not doing OPKs. My cycle is 28 days.
Do you know the reason why your cycle is 55 days? Any abnormality in your cycle should be investigated irrespective of whether you're ttc.

Oysterbabe · 25/02/2017 10:18

*has passed

Oysterbabe · 25/02/2017 10:18

Maybe you could get some cheapies to use just until your cycles settle down? When they cost 10p you don't worry about doing a couple of day and can see clearly the progression of them darkening then lightening once the surge bad passed.

Cookie1831 · 25/02/2017 10:01

Sorry for the long boring post!!!

Cookie1831 · 25/02/2017 10:00

I bought CB sticks just because can't be bothered with the faff of comparing lines and getting it wrong but am not sure when to start using them, cycles were 6 weeks first time came off the pill but had been on for 10years by that point, then next time round had really long cycles because of a thyroid problem, am currently day 10 off the pill and CD 6/7 having just finished withdrawal bleed, when would you start? I don't want to waste them as so expensive but still don't want to leave it too late to test in case by some miracle by hormones have kicked back in early, any ideas? Guesses? Would I be a muppet to start them tomorrow?!

Oysterbabe · 25/02/2017 09:53

Some people don't get positive OPKs and still ovulate and get pregnant. I know it's hard but try and stay calm. You're still young and it's very early days Flowers

allthecheese · 25/02/2017 09:43

Just needed to post here as I know you guys will understand this.

Sat at home having a little (big) cry. Only 2 cycles in, but I've never had a positive OPK, my cycles are 55 days long and so I assume I can't be ovulating? I get all the symptoms of ovulation (I don't track temps yet though), and all the signs of PMT, but then nothing.

Meeting two friends today who got pregnant easily. My DH is super chill about the whole thing, but I'm 32 and want more than 1 so worrying massively about this. I'm struggling to deal with this emotionally.

Just needed to get that off my chest

Cycle number 2.
Still haven't received af for end of Feb (last af 2/2/17) but pretty sure I'm not going to be getting a bfp this cycle .

Good luck everyone xx

Thingymaboob · 24/02/2017 17:27

BBS83 5 days early? Is it lighter than usual? I had a bleed 6 days before period last time and it was implantation bleeding.

QueenGiggles · 24/02/2017 15:04

I 2nd that nobody really gets how it feels to be ttc and getting nowhere and till now I never understood it, I've got 2 DS and had 3MC and none have been conceived through actively trying whereas since Oct when I had MMC we have been actively ttc and it's throwing my emotions etc all over the place, I never thought it would be like this!! I'm only just going into my fertile week so have started a combination of CB and IC opks! Fx for all this month!

BBS83 · 24/02/2017 13:32

That's me out. AF has turned up 5 days early. Fx for everyone else.

ttcnovice have you tried tracking your tempreture?

Oysterbabe it's so true, it's so easy for it to become this huge thing hanging over you which is not conducive to dtd. The GP also generally will not consider referring you if you have not been trying for at least 18 months.

So many friends have said when they were putting it on hold or just focused on something else it happened.

Fx for all those testing in March

MotherofUnicorns · 24/02/2017 10:56

Ok I'm officilly in the 2ww now. I hope we dtd enough but it's frustrating when you ov midweek and the last thing I want to do on a Tuesday night is get jiggy!
thingy sorry you're back here too..... that must have been hard.
If it helps anyone it took me 4 months to conceive dd1 when I was 30. It is reassuring to hear up to a year is normal, that gives me until august before I go to docs/give up!
I'll see you back here soon for some crazy symptoms spotting I imagine!!

ttcnovice · 24/02/2017 10:00

Oyster I didn't realise 9 months of trying was average, thanks for that it's interesting isn't it. I think because people with DC don't often talk about how long they were trying for that it's easy to assume everyone gets pregnant first time! It's reassuring to know that isn't necessarily the case Smile.

Thanks BB I started off using the IC OPKs but changed to CB last cycle, just so it was a more definitive yes/no rather than guessing line strengths. I think I will definitely have to combine the two if I'm testing more than once a day though you're right! Sorry about your BFN but like you said it's still early days! Fx for a BFP over the weekend for you 🤞🏼.

BBS83 · 24/02/2017 09:29

ttcnovice you can get some cheapie opks on amazon. Would not recommend the CB ones if testing more than once a day.

I tested this morning, and a BFN, but still 3 days early cos I would have been driving myself crazy. Will test again if af does not show...fx.

Oysterbabe · 24/02/2017 08:18

Ttc is really hard. It takes much more of an emotional toll than you'd expect and it just builds and builds each month. Just try and bare in mind that 9 months is the average time but anything within a year is still pretty normal. I know how you feel though, it took us 5 months last time and it felt like forever. I'm trying to stay calm and positive this time.

Motherhippy16 · 24/02/2017 08:07

Sorry af got you minime...it's awful isn't it? Everyone I know keeps on saying that it will happen and that we've only been trying for a few months but they don't know what it's like. Haven't told dh yet but I think he knows bless him. Just don't want to be trying for a year and then go to the Dr and find out there's something wrong. Think I'll try the opks this month but on a positive I've had 2 cycles that are both 31 days long so maybe we are stopping dtd too early and I ovulate late? Much love minime....we will get there x
