Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Sk1p originality is cool! We're a non-judgmental bunch so I wouldn't worry about that. I'm sure they're fab choices! or PM me because now I'm curious

Tonks could you lie to your GP about length of time ttc? Acupuncture could well help in the meantime, and I've definitely seen a lot worse charts!

Same Gaelach - if you can't dream, you'll lose all hope completely!

Ooh Flash fx for your frer tomorrow!

OP posts:
Flashinthepan · 31/01/2017 22:46

I have no idea with names! Got a relatively easy surname for names though I think, which should help when the time comes! I have PMA and still no more bleeding! But also no bfp. Im wasting frers all over the place but if still no af tomorrow morning I'm testing again. DH away tonight so there's noone to stop the crazy.

Flashinthepan · 31/01/2017 22:41

EJ that's happened to us sometimes. I think maybe it's the trendiest tiniest bit of blood from sort of bumping /rubning that gets mixed in and just tinges everything pink.

Gaelach · 31/01/2017 22:40

I'm loving hearing all the these name choices! Glad it's not just me who has a baby named in my head. I've also planned how to reveal it to my parents, who to pick as godparent, which school I'll send them to, the whole whack!

sk1pper · 31/01/2017 22:35

Alexia - my name choices aren't conventional in the English sense, so I worry about what people think of them.

Tonks87 · 31/01/2017 22:26

Thanks for the new thread Alexia!

I'm loving the name talk!
Well done on a successful day London!

I had my second acupuncture appointment this evening and I absolutely love it. DH thinks it's a bit too pricey at £45 a pop so I need to keep pushing how beneficial it is.

The lady I go to is an ex-midwife who now specialises in complementary healthcare and woman's health. She looked at my chart and thinks my progesterone may be low (because of my temp fluctuations and short/light periods). Do you think the docs will test for this even though I've only been trying 5 months and have 1 month of temps?

My understanding EJ is sex is more important in the lead up to ovulation. The right kind of cm is there to sustain the sperm and get it where it needs to be before the egg is released. My EWCM always appears before a positive OPK too. When you see it, DTD!

AlexiaB · 31/01/2017 22:07

Are you sure it wasn't just light spotting after rough sex EJ? Bit concerning if it's actually coming from your DH.

My advice would be to dtd whenever you have EWCM as waiting for the +ve opk (if you O very soon after) could be too late. Could also try Preseed if CM is creamy on opk day?

Soo many lovely names! Olivia sure is popular but so classic and beautiful! Peaches I forgot about Ava, that's DH's favourite. Our taste is very similar Wink

Great minds think alike Carley, shame on your SIL! Lol.

Charley love your choices too! I think you can absolutely still use Amelia/Emilia. I adore Max and would love to use it but it's a total no go with our surname (sounds like a brand of women's underwear ha!)

Welcome back Snarky. Sorry you've still ttc too but good to have you back Flowers

Pug James is beautiful and such a lovely tribute to your dad who I'm sure would be honoured. It's our #1 middle name choice. Everything crossed for your crosshairs Smile

Sk1p I think you should spill the name beans Wink You too kwick!

Jam you are an amazingly strong woman! I admire you so much StarStarStar Everything crossed!

Miranda hope your egg is on route soon. Well done for temping, always here if you have any questions xx

I think that would be a really cool name Kathrino

Ok. I'm totally obsessed with names - apologies!

Freaking out a bit. Dh spunk was a bit pink just when i erm cleaned myself.

Random cm question. My ewcm seems to appear a few days begore my positive opk. By the time my opk goes positive my cm in creamy. Makes me think the swimmers wont like that. I thought the ewcm was supposed to stick about? Maybe this is why gp took my swabs.

Kathrino · 31/01/2017 21:51

High five Jam, good work today!

I really like Olivia too by DH's surname (which we would give any child) starts Ov so I think it might sound a bit weird.

Currently waiting for ovulation to happen! No sign of it yet on OPKs. I'm trying temping this month to see if that helps.

Well done Jam have everything crossed for you! And anyone else waiting Smile

Londonjam · 31/01/2017 21:37

James is a lovely name pug , what a lovely tribute to your dad too

Geeup I am already excited for you. Are they doing ICSI or straight IVF? Do you have one last natural try or will your next egg be collected?

Girls I am declaring today a success. I have managed to not constantly obsess over the state of my uterus, I have not cried and I have not seen any blood! Not a drop nor a tiny hint of any blood yet.

I also unpacked my suitcase. Where is my halo Halo

Did get a bfp at beginning of Jan, but miscarried at 5 weeks.

Currently cd20, possibly 1dpo, awaiting another couple of temps to confirm.

Re names, if a boy I want James, after my Dad who passed away Dec 2015. At the very least it will be a middle name.

Not sure about a girl's name. I hear so many names through my job that I change my mind every 5 minutes!

HepKestrel · 31/01/2017 21:07

And I don't know my age.... It's 37.

HepKestrel · 31/01/2017 21:06

Bloody hell Olivia is popular!!! kwick slinks off to consider new names

Good girl carley!!!

I know I have 3 girls names in mind - but cannot for the life of me remember one of them!!! No names for a boy... yet! My desire is to not know until birth so I do need to be prepared!!!

Nothing but AF and sparkling white FRERs so far. Bloods confirmed I'm ovulating, ultrasound said all normal, however I have low follicle count and AMH level for my age 😧. This is my first cycle after an HSG (came back all clear - although right tube a bit stubborn but clear in the end). Hoping I'm one of the lucky ones after an HSG, but not getting hopes up. Fuck it day already planned - early Valentine's big boozy dinner with DH 😁

Roseandbee · 31/01/2017 20:21

I was just at the docs today about struggling ttc & she said 33 is still young. She said she wasn't overly concerned even though I've been a long time off birth control. So that's some good news

Baby names a girl rose a boy maybe Charlie, I'd consider Charlie for a girl too

Missy you are probably right about symptom spotting, I'm keeping an eye on things but trying not to convince myself anything is pregnancy related. Kicking myself for not keeping a diary of my cycle from the beginning, thinking I will need to get an app to keep track of things!

Hope you're looking after yourself Kwick! I am definitely on it with the warm feet as I HATE being cold. Was just reading up on pineapple and see it may also be good for endometriosis so that's a bonus!

Alexia I'm trying to hold out til Sunday (13 DPO). Ella is my favourite girls name at the moment :) Evie was also on my list until SIL called her dog Evie!

Is it only me that doesnt like fertile week. I hate trying to unnaturally seduce my husband. Dtd was always a sexy moment between us and now its "come on love, the digital fave is grinning at me" ( actually its not as my ic go positive but my clearblue one doesnt).

Oohh baby names. I like this topic. Its getting tough as we are amongst the last to have kids so the names are being stolen. Boys - Sebastian or Hugo. Girls Indiana or Matilda.
