Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Flash - what types of tests have you used so far? Boots deliver fucking fast if you need more.

SmittenPears · 01/02/2017 17:47

Just for the record, AF arrived -- CD2 now. Pass the Wine

Flashinthepan · 01/02/2017 17:01

I know people like to make conversation bit your just sat there listening to their helpful advice thinking even my ovaries are crying at how unfair this is!

Flashinthepan · 01/02/2017 16:59

I'm in an uber and the driver just asked if I had kids and then said do it sooner rather than later, you need all the energy you can get when you have a toddler and it's worse when you have the second one. Oh to be someone who's main concern a out having children is about not being able to keep up with two!

Pugmummy87 · 01/02/2017 16:50

Welcome banana!

Thanks for the comments guys. I bought DH a pack of cookies as I felt bad for being pissed off at him. I appreciate he's probably feeling a bit pressurised but it's so difficult when I have really irregular cycles and so I don't always know when fw may be so try to aim for regular dtd throughout. Opks don't really work for me as I have a higher level of LH thanks to my delightful pcos and I don't really get much cm either.

Not convinced I've ovulated yet. Will see if temp goes up again tomorrow. Maybe it's not a great egg so progesterone rise is being a bit slow. Last month it shot up really quickly.

I did however buy a pineapple today with plans to consume a 5th (including core Confused) each day for 1st 5 days post o. Courtesy of Kwick's tips!

london flash really hope af stays away for you both.

Flashinthepan · 01/02/2017 16:36

Haha. Mad cats at that! Wink

macsworth · 01/02/2017 16:36

pyjamas that typo was the best!

gaelach It takes me a good few days to accept AF. Those damn stories of people having periods and being pregnant have played with my mind. I've tested after AF once! Total nutter!

jam I've got everything crossed for you!

The DTD every other day is the plan for this month! Usually we're ok up until a few days after ovulation and then are thankful for the break! We'll see how we go extending it until AF goes! May crash and burn badly!

sk1pper · 01/02/2017 16:27

Well since you put it like that Flash Grin

It's more like herding cats than sheep though!

Flashinthepan · 01/02/2017 16:12

Lost keeper! Are you like our shepherd then Skip? Keeping us all together while we blindly navigate the horrors of TTC!

sk1pper · 01/02/2017 16:12

I meant list keeper.

But also a lost cause it seems Hmm

Flashinthepan · 01/02/2017 16:11

If AF doesn't arrive, should I test again tomorrow (13 dpo) or wait until Friday (14 dpo)?

Have SIL's hen do on Saturday and will have some prosecco if I know I'm not upduffed, but would be reluctant to have any if I am.

sk1pper · 01/02/2017 16:11

Welcome Banana! Everyone's going with Hannah but I prefer Banana and I'm lost keeper /evil laugh

AlexiaB · 01/02/2017 16:03

I always post too quickly, sorry for the multiple posts guys.

Kathrino I forgot to say that Molly is a beautiful/pretty/timeless name and a really lovely way to honour your Grandmother. Did not want you to think I didn't like it/ignored it.

I really want a Twix now kwick Grin

I should be working but I can't focus on anything other than TTC and naming a baby I don't have.

Welcome hannah and poppet

Love those names hannah

AlexiaB · 01/02/2017 15:54

Harriet and Gaelach Irish names are beautiful! Aoife is my favourite.

Skip your heart is set on Romana so go with it. I'm keeping my girl options open until I see my fantasy baby Wink

Gaelach I'm with Hep. Total waste of money! I still have one box unopened in a draw somewhere and I'm bitter about wasting £60+. I don't surge in the morning either so as pyjamas explained, I would always miss my surge! Ic work brilliantly and you can use as many a day as you like. Save your money!

Kathrino love Henry too.

Welcome Hannah. Hope ttc is lovely and quick journey for you!

pyjamas that typo!! hahahahahahaha

skipper my BIL is called Marcus and no-one ever, ever calls him Mark, if that helps

Sorry gaelach, hope you're alright. It takes me a few trips to the loo to convince my desperate addled brain that its AF too and not IB, you are not alone there.

flash hang in there!

AF is due Friday according to PinkPad, which tends to be right. I think I ovulated a day early though, so mentally preparing for it to come tomorrow.

Flashinthepan · 01/02/2017 15:43

Welcome Hannah!

Ooo good tip kwick [starts snuggling kidneys with teeny hot water bottle] (I genuinely do have a tiny hot water bottle!)

Hannahbanana1725 · 01/02/2017 15:39

Hi guys! 🤗🤗
First time posting (long time lurker)

Hannah or banana, whatever you fancy
TTC #1
Cycle 1
CD 3

On my withdrawal bleed from pill, so very new to this ttc business 🤔
I have no idea what my cycles are like, was less than 14 days when I had implanon a few years ago 😧 haven't a clue what they were before BC.

Love the names Noah and Maisie but OH hates them 🤔

Happy baby making this month 🎉

kwick · 01/02/2017 15:33

Am on my way home as have calls from 4pm through to 8pm and do not want to get home only at 9pm!!!

Just eaten a Twix Blush and suddenly feel much less nauseous...

Why did you have to mention pizza?????

Totally over thinking it sk1pper but thats what we do Wink

Better to put the direct heat on your kidneys rather than your womble flash

hep I feel the same way about my names sharing is caring
Yep CD1 is when you have full flow before noon (as per my clinic)

I want to meet the doggy with a hearing aid!!! 🐶

gaelach Flowers

Pyjamas81 · 01/02/2017 15:18

I'm one of those crazies that use both gaelach - don't ask me why, I clearly just enjoy literally pissing on money.

I do like the digitals because you can use FMU and there's something satisfying about seeing the face (I know, I have problems), but given my surge seems to always happen in the early evening, it's usually the IC that picks it up in the evening after getting a flashing smiley that morning, which is then confirmed by the static face on the clearblue.

I tell myself it's fine as I'm not an early pg tester!!

I think the ICs would be just fine on their own.

sk1pper · 01/02/2017 15:12

Save your money Gaelach, I don't get why they are so damn expensive for what they are.

HepKestrel · 01/02/2017 15:03

Gaelach i have used both, and i have come to the conclusion i prefer the IC

the only advantage to the clearblue is that you can use them first thing in the morning.

i'm not impressed with the more expensive ones that flash either. they can give you flashy smile for upto 4 days before lh surge. So can tell you when fw is with the same accuracy your boobs can.

Gaelach · 01/02/2017 14:58

Who all uses the clear blue digital ovulation test, is it worth investing? I'm filling up my amazon basket with bits and pieces here, should I bother with the cb or stick to Internet cheapies?

sk1pper · 01/02/2017 14:52

Alexia - OH and I have argued no end about a boys name. I liked Marcus for a while but then I went off it because I knew it would just get shortened to Marc which sounds normal and boring. I love Reece but OH hates it. I really have a thing for names that begin with "R". Hmm Also I like Mia and also Maya but again I just love Romana too much.
