Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Stay strong Alexia you can do this Flowers

Sorry you've been having a rubbish time of it kaydee Flowers

Hope your day gets better kwick sounds an awful journey!

harrietm87 · 03/02/2017 09:19

jam so sorry.
alexia you're not out till you're out. Thinking of you both.

macsworth · 03/02/2017 09:00

Oh jam I am so sorry. You will definitely get there, it will happen but I know that right now it's no consolation. 💐

Sorry you're struggling too alexia, you are strong enough and you will be ok.

And kaydee, sounds stressful about your grandad. I'm glad he's somewhere better now.

Yep kwick. I just find it so patronising and insensitive. They were saying "you know when you see someone a couple of weeks before they give birth and they complain about how tired they are, well they have no idea what's in store!" I just sat there thinking, you were those woman once, stop being so condescending!
Sorry, rant over!

Wine all round I think. Or at least a non alcoholic beer!

HepKestrel · 03/02/2017 08:59

Hi mouse so sorry for you Flowers . its just shit isn't it ?

at least they know the reason and can look after you now?
Flowers jam sorry you have been teased this cycle.

Londonjam · 03/02/2017 08:38

I am really hurting to be honest. Trying to be strong but just keep crying. Why does this have to be so hard? ☹️

kwick · 03/02/2017 08:36

I hear you macs I have a close friend at work yoo actually did IVF 5 times before her BFP and she keeps saying to me "you'll never have a lie in again"... doesn't she see thats what I want? I want to have a child and all the responsibility that goes with it! Angry

OMG what a God awful bus ride to work - not only did a very large lady sit next to me but she smelt of vomit... I feel really out of sorts now.
I felt sorry for her just wish she had sat elsewhere - I am not that small myself and there really was not enough room!!!

Sorry to hear about your grandfather kaydee Flowers

jam I am so upset - I was convinced this was your time. Flowers your attitude this cycle has been amazeballs.

sk1pper · 03/02/2017 08:31

Welcome back Kay xx

Sorry Jam - I know how fucking ridiculous it must be getting for you now. I really hoped you'd get a nice surprise this time xxxx

I'm still hopeful Alexia, don't give up yet!

AlexiaB · 03/02/2017 08:18

I'm so sorry Jam Sad Flowers Your PMA is admirable but I know you must be hurting. Hope the cramps bugger of soon.

Kaydee sorry you've had such a tough few weeks Flowers

AF hasn't arrived but got another BFN today and it's sent me into complete meltdown. I'm just not emotionally strong enough for this. I've barely had 2 hours sleep either and screwed up my temp.

sk1pper Salcyclic Acid is an amazeballs ingredient that exfoliates the skin in a gentle way - bit like AHAs or glycolic acid. I have these pads that I use on spots - which fortunately I do not get that often - the opened tub (Stridex) will go to my SIL, the unopened Nip and Fab ones stay in my stash. It is also in one of my fav cleansers - Loreal Age Perfect.

mouselove #inspiration Flowers

I love non-alcoholic beer pyjamas the San Miguel one is my fav.
I would not recommend alcohol free red wine though - yuck!

Gotta go - will catch up later 22.50

Musicgrrl · 03/02/2017 08:07

Sorry for AF jam Flowers Your PMA is awesome though Smile You will get there, this is just all part of your journey. Definitely have that glass of wine tonight. Hope you have a nice weekend planned too WineBikeBrewCake

Pyjamas81 · 03/02/2017 08:03

Ah bums jam - sorry AF got you, but loving your attitude! I shall be taking a leaf out of your book.

Sounds like you've been through it kaydee! Glad it's sorted 😊

Am going to be the only non-hungover one in the office this morning! Smug!

Londonjam · 03/02/2017 07:52

Day 1 cycle 15!

Oh dear, another cycle it is. I promised myself I would be fine and I will be.

Just wish I didn't have to have quite such bad period pain! It takes my breath it's so bad.

Happy Friday anyway, I will be having a glass of vino later xx

Kaydee2017 · 03/02/2017 06:39

Hi ladies, jumping back in on the new thread this morning! Have been absent for a week and a bit as we had some MAJOR issues last Wednesday with DHs granddad & the care home he was in, awful to be honest :( He is sorted somewhere else now, so that's good, but between us both working full time then helping out with his granddad in the evenings & last weekend, we are both completely knackered!! Written this cycle off completely as we haven't DTD since last Tuesday which was CD12!! CD22 now, I think I ov'd last Friday as I think I felt Ov pains - probably wind! But I only remember as it didn't feel like anything I'd felt before, but who knows!! Anyway, patiently awaiting AF, should arrive a week on Sunday if my cycle is 30 days again, then back to it for the next cycle! At least it's Friday Wine

I have missed so much, but sorry to those AF got, GL to those testing soon & LSFX to those in or coming up to FW, fx for all of you!

macsworth · 02/02/2017 22:55

Also welcome murphy. Sounds like you've been through a lot. Do what is right for you and don't force yourself to go to the baby shower. Your friend will understand.

Pugmummy87 · 02/02/2017 22:53

harriet there is a 10 1/2 months gap, she fell pregnant 7 weeks after her first. Induced early though.

skipper she comes from a religious community where big families and babies in close succession are the norm. I did warn her after her 1st to ensure she used contraception for at least the 1st 3-6 months after the birth, but obviously that didn't work! To be fair to her, she had 7 miscarriages before successfully staying pregnant with her 1st baby. Suffice to say during this pregnancy she said no more for a couple of years now!
And yes she does know I'm ttc and about my recent miscarriage too of which she has been a great support as she knows herself what it is like.

Awww london Hero always makes me teary!

mouse I'm amazed by how strong you are.

macsworth · 02/02/2017 22:53

mouse you're bloody amazing! I'm so glad you're seeing the specialist so soon and they can sort you out properly.

jam your PMA has been so good this month. You WILL be fine either way.

binky keeping fingers crossed that with your new job Sod's law comes into play!!

Got fingers crossed for you too alexia. We are well overdue a few more BFPs on here

Spent the evening at a friend's with another couple. Both have babies so (as what feels like the norm these days) me and DH were the childless couple. I know the others don't mean harm but the comments about "you guys are the sensible ones not to have a baby" make me want to scream.

And thanks for the kind words about the bro. You ladies are brill 😘

MissyJones80s · 02/02/2017 22:11

carley fx it was just too early soooooo tempting though Smile

Pyjamas81 · 02/02/2017 21:25

Arrrgh - bold fail! Sorry!

Miranda234 · 02/02/2017 21:25

Hahaha sk1pper that gave me a good laugh Smile

EJ2009 · 02/02/2017 21:20

binky thank you. Im not so good around ttc pma! Will pledge to do my best.

Pyjamas81 · 02/02/2017 21:19

Just want to say Mouse , I have no words, but I'm amazed at your strength.
*
Binky* - personal training was BRUTAL, but I feel better for it! I'm another one who is hopeful your spotting could be IB?
*
Skipper* - I've been getting that weird pinching feeling as well. Just keep telling myself it could be something, it could be nothing.

For some reason, I'm just not that optimistic about this month.

Went to the work drinks tonight and managed to get away with drinking non-alcoholic beer (actually not bad tasting!). It was so weird defining it and not even getting a buzz! Everyone got very loud and I was secretly stone cold sober ha ha. The hardest bit was actually leaving, like they were offended I was going home and were genuinely shocked that I was as I never go home early. Was impossible to sneak off as we were all sitting around a table, but I just really really wanted to head home!

Londonjam · 02/02/2017 21:16

Ah mouse Blush I didn't hear it like that! You can tell I've never conceived. Glad it made you giggle anyway 😊

Fx for all testers! I'm feeling a bit more crampy this evening so expecting AF tomorrow. Mantra; I will be fine either way. I will be fine either way.

Binkybunny13 · 02/02/2017 21:13

Ej Flowers fx for you- some people have got their BFPs after non-ideal DTD timing..PMA prescribed x

Binkybunny13 · 02/02/2017 21:11

Alexia and kathrino I haven't been OPKing or temping so I have no idea about ovulation..if I was having another 36day cycle I should be about 5dpo but that's a guess. As much as I hope it's IB I think it's more likely just another body f* up! Although did start my new job this week and wouldn't be eligible for maternity pay if I conceived this month so there is potential for Sod's law...

Binkybunny13 · 02/02/2017 21:06

Mouse you are so strong even in this time of heartbreak. You are an inspiration and I am sure that you are going to come through this. Take care of yourself and hope you and DH can support each other through this dreadful time Flowers
