Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

I hear you on the ticking clock hopeful - I have low AMH level for my age and lower than average follicle count (so egg reserves are getting low), so that ticking is very real for me and almost deafening! Not everyone is the same though and I'm sure you have plenty of time 😊
Great to 'meet' a fellow veggie as well! I hope the surgery helps with your anaemia and health!

Hopefulbunny · 04/02/2017 10:56

Hi Skipper!

Hopefulbunny · 04/02/2017 10:55

Pyjamas I'm on cycle 6, AF is due Monday and feels like it's on the way! I had tried to convienced my self I had nausea the other day but I can get all AF symptoms a week before so frustrating! I feel like the clock is ticking very loudly at 35 but have read other stories of ppl being older and managing to conceive so trying to stay positive!

I read you are a fellow veggie aswell Pyjamas same as me although I have anemia aswell so hoping my surgery improves overall health!

sk1pper · 04/02/2017 10:44

Kath - you're admission about eating too many mini eggs made me laugh. I felt nauseous this morning but I had a massive pizza at lunch and a massive Greek meze at dinner....sooo go figure. Grin

Welcome Hopeful!

Pyjamas81 · 04/02/2017 10:40

It's always shit seeing a BFN Harriet even if we're mostly expecting it! You're definitely not out though so still lots to Smile about!

I'm the same kathrino - other than the crap mood, I get no physical warnings that AF is coming. 🤞 for you.

Fuck it days are what keep me going binky! If we're dealt a crap hand, DH and I may as well create some good memories to cancel it out 😊 I'll be really sad if AF arrives, but DH is great at pulling me out of it.

Welcome hopeful! Hope your surgery goes well. What cycle are you on? Good to meet a fellow 35 year old ☺️ ignoring fact am 36 next month.

Hopefulbunny · 04/02/2017 10:27

Hi everyone!

Waiting for surgery to have fibroid remove which could be impacted on fertility.

I'm at the stage I'm wondering if it's ever going to happen as I can't believe it's possible, but must stay positive !

Wishing you all BFP's! Smile

Kathrino · 04/02/2017 10:24

I agree with the others harriet, a BFN at 9 DPO means nothing other than you're 9 DPO. There's still plenty of time for that BFP to arrive.

I'm with you sk1pper and pyjamas on the total lack of symptoms other than some nausea last night but think that was directly related to my mini egg consumption. 11 DPO here. AF tends to only give me a couple of hours warning so fully expecting it to rock up early next week.

Alexia and Jam, hope you're both doing okay today Flowers

harrietm87 · 04/02/2017 10:16

Thanks guys - I will get an FRER and try on Monday I think. CB was all I had in the house. It did say it works 5 days before missed period but the accuracy is way down!

I shouldn't have tested early as now feeling a bit down which is ridiculous.

Hope you all have fun weekends planned!

Binkybunny13 · 04/02/2017 10:13

Sorry lost the first bit of my last message! Oops! Was doing a mammoth catch up before I attack today..

Harriet the CB are pretty unreliable early so not worth doing until you're properly late. The IC are actually more responsive at this stage I think- fx for you!

Great PMA skipper, keeping fx for you!

Your f it plans sound awesome pyjamas*

Pyjamas81 · 04/02/2017 10:12

That's what I keep telling myself skipper! It does help keep me grounded. For now, I'm enjoying the occasional 'what if' daydream without getting too carried away 😊

Binkybunny13 · 04/02/2017 10:10

Ej how are you doing?

Sorry you've had family issues kaydee; hope he's ok now

FlowersJam and alexia. TTC is such a bitch. You are absolutely not a failure alexia- no more talk like that- it is a combination of so many factors, and that you've had a BFP before is such a positive. Your mums suggestion of gp trip is a good idea, even just to offload to someone in RL that can help move things along. Please please be kind to yourselves- you are amazing ladies and you WILL go on and be amazing mothers. This horrible journey has demonstrated your strength and whatever further route we have to take, we will get there ❤️

Kwick and macs- I totally agree with the frustratingly condescending attitude of others, drives me mad! I hope this stupid TTC stress will at least mean once I'm pregnant (which feels like a million years away!) I will have some sensitivity when talking to others!

FX for 2WWers! I'm also in batshit crazy week..still spotting on and off, cd29 of probable 35day cycle. Presumably early start to AF as I'm bloating up like a balloon as per usual 👎

sk1pper · 04/02/2017 09:58

Sorry Harriet - do you have an FRER you can use?

Pyjamas - even if this isn't the one, the next two cycles are meant to be super fertile too so it won't be the end of the world or so I keep telling myself.

Musicgrrl · 04/02/2017 09:48

harriet the CB digis are not the way to go for early testing. FRER are best and some own brand tests. You can look up how they all rank by sensitivity on Google. Sorry for your BFN but you're definitely not out yet!

Pyjamas81 · 04/02/2017 09:35

Arrrrgh sorry about bfn Harriet - but it's still mega early and from what I've read, the CB digitals aren't that sensitive, so you're definitely not out!

Ah so we're testing buddies as well skipper - yes, any kind of news either way is much easier to deal with on a weekend. Got our fuck it days sorted - early boozy valentines dinner with DH on Saturday and have tickets to the London gin festival the weekend after Gin😁👍🏼

harrietm87 · 04/02/2017 09:24

pyjamas LOL at dad/dog!!!!!

Ok so I totally caved and tested this morning - 9dpo - with a clear blue digi. Obviously BFN!

But I'm still feeling nauseous so think I might be coming down with something. AF due weds so might test Mon or Tues if I still feel like this. I've totally gone mad!

skipper and pyjamas and anyone else in the TWW I am thinking of you!

macsworth · 04/02/2017 08:53

alexia there are counsellors trained specifically in fertility. It's such a hard and draining process, it'd be good to have a professional to talk to if you're finding it all too much.

Great work on the running hep. I find running the best stress reliever.

We're going to Japan in April and so I've decided to try and learn a bit of Japanese. I've downloaded an app and it's proving a great distraction from thinking about TTC!

FX for you TTWers

sk1pper · 04/02/2017 08:53

Pyjamas - ahh the feeling is completely mutual, I hope we both get it this time. AF due Saturday, at least I can cry on my day off if it's another failed cycle.

Pyjamas81 · 04/02/2017 08:30

Gah skipper - the second week is the worst, me and DH call it batshit crazy week. AF is due on Friday, but I'm not testing until Saturday - don't like testing during the week, want to avoid seeing that fucking snowy white window, and figure testing late won't make any difference to the end result. When is your AF due? I'm really rooting for you!

sk1pper · 04/02/2017 08:23

Pyjamas - I'm absolutely fine but I can't believe I have to wait a whole more 7 days to find out either way. I've stopped getting those twinges and am now completely symptomless too. What day is your AF due?

MissyJones80s · 04/02/2017 08:18

alexia yes go speak to doc about how you are feeling. Talking therapies might help. Not sure about meds as my doc suggested not taking them if I was thinking of becoming preg because a lot of them you can't take when preg and if I conceived I'd have to come off them and cope naturally anyway...I'm not a doc obvs but that's just what mine said. A lot of the time I just wish he'd given me some though because I have days when I really struggle. It's not easy xxxx

Pyjamas81 · 04/02/2017 08:10

Sorry to hear about the rough time you're both going through jam and Alexia. This business can knock us for six sometimes and it can feel very bleak. You're both strong and you will do this. Big hugs to you both xxx

How's my HSG buddy Skipper and cycle buddy Harriet doing? Did you test in the end Harriet?

I went out last night for a massive pizza last night with DH ☺️ Usually I'd be in the pub and I would've woken up with a hangover today, but I'm feeling full of beans 😁

9dpo and still no symptoms really - I seem to be bloaty and gassy but I've had that before so not reading into it. I'll be watching my mood quite carefully over the next few days - I turn into a fire breathing 🐉 a few days before AF!

Was hoping for some non-ttc dtd with DH this weekend, but his dad/dog is here which ruins the mood somewhat! No way we'll dtd during the week and will either have AF or BFP next weekend. Given total lack of any symptoms - I suspect AF.

SmittenPears · 04/02/2017 00:13

Sending everyone good thoughts and vibes for the current cycle. Very sorry for the losses, lack of answers, and BFNs. Onward, we can do this.

Starfish, are you testing tomorrow? Sorry if I missed an update.

sk1pper · 03/02/2017 23:18

Sorry you're both feeling so down Alexia and Jam - I hope you realise how strong and inspirational you both are. You cannot give up, you just can't. Don't. Let. It. Beat. You. You both deserve this.

Alexia - if you are feeling this down, best to see a GP and maybe get some therapy. Anchor therapy may be quite good, so when you're feeling heightened emotion (anger, stress, depression) you train your brain to instantly focus on personal anchors that trigger happy memories, images and smells. I use it, it's not always perfect but it does help me through every failed cycle and my anxiety of hospitals.

Hep - well done, I have no idea how you find the motivation for a 20 min run, especially in the cold and dark. Hope you enjoyed your well deserved glass of vino.

Right, kids are gone...was not expecting that. Kids are always drawn to me like a flame, I don't always like other people's kids but today was an exception. Made some lego, played with an elastic band shooter and caught a few Pokemon on my phone (I now have no Pokeballs left!) Knackered now, don't know how people do kids full time Wink

HepKestrel · 03/02/2017 20:44

So sorry jam and Alexia that your bfn's.
Can't rescue you skipper!

As some of you know, I distract myself in the waiting phases of the cycle by coniuous attempts to progress of the c25k..... W5r3 completed! My first 20min run!!!!! Slightly offset by the onset of bladder weakness at the endBlush .....

Now enjoying a nice glass of white wine....

sk1pper · 03/02/2017 20:26

Help, I'm surrounded by small children! Can anyone come rescue me please?
