Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

Mrsbluebell17 · 04/02/2017 21:17

Awesome news Starfish! Really pleased for you. How many dpo are you now? Have you had any symptoms?

I'm feeling really down and out of sorts - can't put my finger on it and can only imagine this means AF is on her way.

CD23 here. Have had 33,27 and 24 day cycles for my last few so it could be here anytime now really. And I think I'm about 7DPO.

My abdomen has been feeling really off for the last few days, kinda like the start of period pains but nothing has progressed. All been very confusing. Had a small wine tonight and a few glasses last night but am beating myself up thinking I shouldn't have done just incase. Oh well, time will tell. Due to test on Thursday if I can wait until then and if AF doesn't give me the answer first.

Fingers crossed stardusts amazing news brings us all some more BFPs soon x

kwick · 04/02/2017 21:15

Oh wow just seen your post, congratulations starfish!!

Miranda234 · 04/02/2017 21:06

Glad you're feeling better today Jam

Thinking of you alexia hope you're feeling a bit brighter today

Hope everyone's having a good Saturday. I'm alone tonight and watching rubbishy TV with the cat! DH is out with friends and just messaged saying one of his best friends and his wife are going to start TTC, don't know why but it's really upset me, I know it's not a race but now I just feel like I'm waiting to hear they're pregnant- DH doesn't seem to get that at all. I'm annoyed with myself for feeling like this. Might do some yoga to relax me!

Have a lovely evening everyone Smile

Starfish1983 · 04/02/2017 20:57

I'm afraid I've been off the radar for a while due to being away and work being absolutely manic. So sorry some peeps are having a particularly hard time at the mo. Flowers

Well, I caved, tested early, and got a BFP!!! Smile

I hope this brings some baby dust to all you amazingly strong women...

Smitten, how are you doing? Have you tested yet?

Pyjamas81 · 04/02/2017 20:51

Kathrino - DH has been out with his dad all day, have had sofa aaaaaaallll to myself 😁😁😁

Hope you're having fun letting your hair down binky!

Sounds like a tasty feast skipper!

I had my bottle of BrewDog's Nanny State beer - I have to say, I'm beyond impressed. It just tasted like amazingly good beer! DH and I are into our ales, so this is really a great great find 👍🏼👍🏼

Kathrino · 04/02/2017 19:24

Good work claire, sounds like you timed DTD perfectly!

Binky, I sent DH out on his own tonight and am snuggled up on the sofa. Bliss! After a busy week, it's so nice to just switch my brain off and watch crap TV.

Welcome hopeful, I agree with the others that 35 is definitely not old. I'm 33 and all the docs keep telling me not to worry because I'm still so young

Feel better soon pug, sounds really nasty Flowers

Glad you had a good night out Jam and you're feeling a bit better this morning. Thinking of you and Alexia Flowers

88claire · 04/02/2017 18:33

Thanks Pug

Will count Monday as the first day to be safe!

How are you doing?

Binkybunny13 · 04/02/2017 18:31

I'm loving all the f* it plans! Although tbh last 2 months I've not been putting my life on hold for TTC anyway (everything in moderation/sods law approach!)

I'm out tonight but feeling really crappy and wish I was snuggled on the sofa instead...And know if I'm not drinking all night I'm going to get the "ooh are you pregnant?!" hassling AND I REALLY CANT DEAL WITH THAT TODAY AAAARRRRRRGGH!

At least there won't be babies in the bars we are going to 😏

MissyJones80s · 04/02/2017 18:26

Ooh mac what are you up to in Japan? Business or pleasure...hopefully the latter!

hep I'm thinking of trying to get into running I've tried before but I lack the stamina!! DH is pretty good so I'm going to try going with him perhaps for motivation.

Sorry about the BFN harriet maybe just too early fx but if not Flowers

Hi hopefulbunny I'm 34 but the 35 is swiftly approaching so know how you feel but we are all different beings I might be much older in some ways than others (my hair started going white when I was 19 eek) who knows but we're in this together and I wish you all the luck! I hope the surgery goes well for you and helps things progress for you fx fx fx!

jam your fuck it evening sounded yummy gotta love a bit of tapas, sorry to hear about the sobbing though Flowers. Thanks for your words it's more anxiety than depression with me but this has led to some down days as well, currrently seeing a counsellor but its costs so much is rather spend that money on fun times but hey ho got to look after myself I suppose. No one has mentioned alternative meds no, maybe I should ask. I'd like to cope without but some days it takes over. Mind you counselling is helping because so far with this TTC business I've managed to use some of the methods to keep positive...!

Went for a bit of retail today and ended up making a naughty lingerie purchase or two Wink

pjs enjoy the Gin fest!

Pugmummy87 · 04/02/2017 17:39

Banging headache and chesty cough. 🤒 My temp went down again today to pre o levels so looks like I haven't ovulated. I think the spike in my temp may actually have been me coming down with this cough. Oh well.

Sorry about the bfn harriet but you're still early so I would definitely test again if the nausea continues into the coming week. Use a FRER though as more sensitive than the digital tests.

claire great news on the positive opk. It means it's detected your LH surge so ovulation usually occurs within 24-36 of the surge. So I would say tomorrow/early hours of Monday would be the start of the tww.

jam, I'm glad you had a good fuck it evening. It's good to let all your emotions out.

Hope alexia is doing OK.

88claire · 04/02/2017 14:42

Got my positive OPK this morning. When should I count myself as being in the two week wait?

OH was pleased. We haven't had AM sex in years!

How is everyone?!

harrietm87 · 04/02/2017 14:30

Lol skipper sounds brilliant! I'm beginning to think my symptoms are just AF symptoms- have a massive chocolate craving which is always a giveaway. I'm still on my January diet but ate quite a bit of cashew butter out of the jar earlier which is permitted by the diet but definitely not in the spirit of it! It ends on weds (I started it late) which is also when AF is due so I can have a massive fuckit pizza and wine if AF arrives!

sk1pper · 04/02/2017 14:27

Today I've eaten so far: pineapple, Camembert, pate, a chicken slice, a Bakewell tart (large), a crepe egg and a custard doughnut. It's almost like I'm not taking this TTC malarkey seriously anymore. I'd like to draw your attention to the pineapple. And I am wearing thick socks? FML Grin

Pyjamas81 · 04/02/2017 13:38

Actually really looking forward to the Gin fest jam and kaydee, I LOVE GIN. Obviously would prefer a BFP, but a good gin cocktail with friends will perk me up right nice if not 😊

Glad you had a nice fuck it evening jam, and sometimes a big ugly face cry is exactly what's needed. Batshit Mental Week - yes!

And you're right skipper -35 isn't old, I definitely don't want 36 to roll around though!

Just bought a few books in Waterstones and am currently getting hair dyed to ward off the 👵🏼. Nice relaxed day to myself while DH has gone to watch the rugby with his dad. Might crack open my bottle of Nanny State later - rock n roll 😂

sk1pper · 04/02/2017 13:12

Girls 35 is not old, stop with this silly talk immediately. Grin

Jam - I'm so so glad you are feeling a bit better hon. Crying is good, get it all out of your system. I know it seems like a fucking age when you're living it but I really do believe you'll get there eventually.

Londonjam · 04/02/2017 11:32

Morning girls Brew

Went out for a couple of G&Ts and some tapas with DH last night, it was a good little fuck it evening. Came home and sobbed a LOT but I needed it.

Feeling a lot calmer this morning. I hope you are too alexia. Please do talk about it IRL as much as you need to. It sounds like your mum is a big support now which is great.

Skipper and pyjamas I am keeping everything crossed for your squeaky clean pipes 🤞🏼the effect lasts for a good few cycles so don't lose hope if this isn't the one. Wishing you all the luck and distractions for Batshit Mental Week. This is the official new name!

Missy sorry you're feeling so low too, do you have someone you talk to about it? My GP mentioned there are TTC "friendly" options for ADs.

Macs Japan !! How exciting I'd love to go there, how cool

Fx Harriet! Kathrino And binky 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

Pyjamas I might check out this London gin fest!
*
Kath* we cracked into the mini eggs last night too, glad I'm not alone 😬

Welcome hopeful 👋🏼

Kaydee2017 · 04/02/2017 11:14

Sorry for the BFN Harriet but massive fx you're just too early & your BFP is only a few days away - definitely FRER it for the next one Smile

So sorry alexia & jam, can't imagine what you're going through & nothing we can say will probably help but definitely thinking of you both Flowers

Pyjamas Gin the gin festival sounds fab, I'm a gin fan myself! Fx you have to miss out on the gin due to your imminent BFP though, obviously!!
