Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

I'll see how I feel tomorrow. Hoping it's a 24 hr thing and will be gone!

sk1pper · 05/02/2017 21:54

Jam - sounds fricking nasty, can you get to your GP tomorrow?

Mrsbluebell17 · 05/02/2017 21:30

Oh no, hope you feel better soon jam x

colourmylife · 05/02/2017 21:29

Thanks for the list skip. I've been quiet this cycle, I've been trying not to google my symptoms as much or get too wrapped up in it all. A week until AF is due and I can tell my calm is fading and the googling and obsessing is creeping in.

Londonjam · 05/02/2017 21:06

Not food poisoning. The aching down my entire back is insane! It must be some horrendous virus

I'm not actually being sick so not sure if norovirus?

Skipper Thursday sounds good to me, fingers tightly crossed 🤞🏼

sk1pper · 05/02/2017 20:52

Sorry Jam - we cross posted. Not sure, could it be food poisoning?

Kathrino · 05/02/2017 20:52

Could it be norovirus Jam? There's quite a lot of that around at the moment. Look after yourself and stay hydrated. I hope it passes quickly Flowers

sk1pper · 05/02/2017 20:51

Just wondering when I should use one of those FRERs I bought. Have NEVER used one before, but am feeling hopeful this cycle because of the HSG. AF due Sat or Sun. I'm thinking Thursday will give me a reliable result and then I only have one day to mope at work if it's a BFN.

Londonjam · 05/02/2017 20:49

Oh my god I'm so unwell 😩 I've just been lying on the floor trying not to pass out / throw up. I don't know what the hell is wrong with me but I'm weak as a kitten, so faint and nauseous 😩😩😩 wtf is this??

Mrsbluebell17 · 05/02/2017 20:10

Oops. Typo. I meant this month, not this morning.

Also..... a good friend shared their news earlier today that they are expecting.... very happy for them, but can't help feeling 😔 for us.

Mrsbluebell17 · 05/02/2017 18:05

Evening all.

Congrats on the house Harriet and remember you're not out yet. I am about 8/9dpo I think and I feel a bit nauseous and have some cramps for the last few days too so I was convinced AF was on the way but nothing yet. I really don't want it this morning, I really want a BFP instead. I feel really emotional about it for some reason

Keep us posted with how you get on!

Glad you're in a good place Pyjamas. It's not easy so good work on the PMA.

Still thinking of you mouse

Skip I'm on the list twice for some reason, can you keep the 9th but remove the other one please? Thank you x

Kathrino · 05/02/2017 17:53

Jam, I hope you're feeling better this evening. I'm starting to think I'm coming down with something too as I've been boiling hot all day, even when I was outside without a coat. I hope DH is home this weekend and looking after you.

Spud, that first cycle is a killer. There are so many stories of people getting pregnant the first month that I think we end up putting a lot of pressure on ourselves, despite the fact that the odds are stacked against it. Take care of yourself Flowers

Tonks, glad you've had a good weekend and LSFX that this is your cycle!

MissyJones80s · 05/02/2017 17:20

Ooh the format of MN has changed on my phone...

MissyJones80s · 05/02/2017 17:19

hep we are on the pineapple smoothies as well! Oh and many other smoothies. I realise people say whole fruit is best but I've felt so much better for having a smoothie in the morning we often use veg as well.

Been sorting clothes out for charity shop. Pulled out a couple of pretty dresses I had not seen for years and DH was like oh keep those if we have a daughter she can play dress up in them. So sweet. The challenge is actually getting a BFP first of all let alone anything else but now I keep looking at those dresses and imagining cute stuff! Here's hoping for some DTD with results this month !!!

HepKestrel · 05/02/2017 16:41

so have found a way to get my pineapple!

OH and I have been making mango+pineapple smoothies ! yummy.

Tonks87 · 05/02/2017 15:51

I'm back from my long weekend in London with DH. It really helped to get over the disappointment of AF arriving, I'm still absolutely gutted and a bit fragile but I'm ready for another go, this will be my month!

Thanks for the list Skip - I'm on twice, can you please remove me from the 5th? I Ov'd super early so never made it to the 5th.

Sorry about AF spud. Don't feel awkward about your disappointment, it's really hard when you want it so much, regardless of how long you've wanted it for.

I'm sorry you haven't had good news either Jam and that you're feeling low. Take the time you need to bounce back, it's sounds like the next couple of months should be quite productive so here's hoping your feeling low won't last long.

Congratulations on the house Harriet. Fx you have more good news on the way too.

Sorry for AF Binky and Smitten. I hope you have better luck next month.

Congratulations Starfish. Hopefully this is the start of a string of BFPs on this thread!

Thinking of you Alexia. I hope you're doing ok.

I'm so sorry Mouse - there really are no words but I hope you're managing to look after yourself.

Hugs to anyone that needs it and fx for anyone else that also needs a bit of luck.

MissyJones80s · 05/02/2017 14:54

jam do not consult with Dr Google it can send you crazy I am living proof of that I have banned myself from it and have been 'dry' since NYE bar a minor blip one day mid Jan. It's like alcohol to an alcoholic you can become dependent on it!!!

MissyJones80s · 05/02/2017 14:50

spud we all get our hopes up so don't feel bad i just wish AF would stay away for all of us xxxx

sk1pper · 05/02/2017 14:46

Jam - Google is a blessing and a curse, we're all guilty of using it when we're worrying about things. Unfortunately, you're never going to find the answers you seek on there, what we really need are crystal balls at this stage. A further semen test is a very good idea, also ask them to estimate how long they think it might take you naturally with the low morphology in mind. I don't think a HSG is out of the question for you, because it will just give you 2 or 3 cycles of squeaky clean f-tubes...which might be enough to tip the balance. I didn't discuss clomid because my ovulation is like clockwork...there seems to be some deeper issue.

Londonjam · 05/02/2017 14:33

I think I've got a bug skip I'm feeling totally wiped out and so sick! No appetite at all.

I'm pretty low too to be honest. I know I'll bounce back, but I've got into a bit of a pattern of thinking it will never happen when my period comes, and start googling low morphology and IVF over and over.

I'm going to try to wait for our appointment on the 2 March and ask them about an HSG. I'm also going to ask about further semen tests as we just don't have enough information with the standard tests. Did you discuss clomid with yours?

sk1pper · 05/02/2017 14:24

Hope you're okay Jam - I'm having a duvet day too but I'm not feeling low, just being incredibly lazy this weekend. Do you think you might have a HSG done?

Londonjam · 05/02/2017 14:20

Spud I utterly convinced myself I was pregnant on the first few cycles - it's easily done. Hope you're not waiting long, most people conceive within a year

Skipper can you add me on 4 March please?

88claire · 05/02/2017 14:15

Whoops wrong thread! But I am still TTC no.1 Smile

88claire · 05/02/2017 14:14

Can I be added please?! Due on the 28th Feb (really clinging onto the back of this bus!)

Thankyou!

SmittenPears · 05/02/2017 14:14

starfish, I had forgotten you were cycle 1 (me too) -- that's so great, I hope I'll be bringing up the rear before long. FX/baby dust to everyone waiting for the next FW, and all around!
