Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

If cold feet is an early pregnancy symptom I am a shoe in! Despite not DTD in FW, but we'll just ignore that bit Grin

Is there (and I realise this sounds crazy), an 'acceptable' period length that is optimal for TTC & successful implantation? Withdrawal bleeds on the pill were 7-8 days for me, with days 1-3 being massacre style heavy, but now seem to be 4 days and only really heavy on day 1, and I'm probably stretching there! Hmmm Hmm

HepKestrel · 07/02/2017 16:54

welcome quick !

foot is much better.... limp almost gone... but tiny bit of swelling still there (also lovely shade of purple). fx i can get back to the treadmill on friday. I am desperate to get back running, but don't want to risk going back too soon..... ho hum....

So one purple foot due to slipping down stairs, and the other has a purple middle toe from kicking the sewing machine..... my feet are pretty! Grin

I am officially a klutz !

6dpo ...... not that i'm counting.

QuietTime · 07/02/2017 16:41

*Just before Xmas, not Dec. These details matter...

QuietTime · 07/02/2017 16:40

Been a lurker on the TTC threads over the past month, as stopped contraception just before Dec; finally prompted to post to say thank you to mac - cold feet early pregnancy made me laugh out loud towards the end of a fudging annoying day at work Grin

Feel like I should share now that I've butted in:
Age 33
TTC#1 (obvs)
Cycle 2
CD 7

Might not post much, but will say thank you for sharing while I'm here - am amazed by how positive and supportive you are! x

sk1pper · 07/02/2017 16:26

Macs - the brand you can buy in holland and Barrett contains a genus of hibiscus that isn't a natural contraceptive. I asked Wink

macsworth · 07/02/2017 16:24

I'm sure it's totally fine but the advice is all so contradictory that I freaked out and stopped drinking it.
I tried to find a brand without hibiscus in it but they all seem to have it in. I'm sure it's such a tiny amount that it doesn't matter.

Pyjamas81 · 07/02/2017 16:19

I was only planning to drink raspberry leaf tea until ov, but shall do more research on it!

macsworth · 07/02/2017 16:07

I'm the same, short light periods. 2-3 days really. And I've had the same worries that this means my lining isn't juicy enough.

I started with raspberry leaf tea because it's meant to improve lining but then stopped because I read the hibiscus in it is bad for TTC...it's a mine field!

That's a good list of question jam. Great to go prepared! Hope you begin to feel a bit better, sounds like a horrible virus.

hep that's brilliant! Let's remember that even if you google "itchy little finger" or "twitchy eyelid" it's probably listed as a pregnancy symptom somewhere on the internet. I googled "cold feet early pregnancy" last cycle ((hangs head in shame))

MissyJones80s · 07/02/2017 15:52

flash my cycle is same as yours only this time it followed with a few days of a teeny bit of brown spotting like literally on wipe (sorry tmi) per day. The more I hear from people about cycles the more I realise hardly anyone has the same each month and weird bits in between

Londonjam · 07/02/2017 15:44

Glad I'm not the only one with short AF! What's the deal with raspberry leaf tea pyjamas?

I'll add short period to my list of questions for the specialist. So far I've got:

ME
High prolactin
Short periods
Two weird episodes of lower abdo pain in the night
Can I have a hycosy?
Should we try clomid?

HIM
low morphology - can we conceive naturally or will we need IVF , and possibly ICSI
can we improve morphology?
What's the timeline?

Is there anything I'm missing?

Kathrino · 07/02/2017 15:12

If it makes you guys feel any better, mine are 7 days and that's clearly not helping here!

Jam, hope you manage to get something to make you feel better Flowers

Flashinthepan · 07/02/2017 14:55

Me too! Mine are still 4 days but 1 heavy, 2 medium and one light. They used to be 7/8 days before I went on the pill and supremely heavy the whole way through.

Pyjamas81 · 07/02/2017 14:53

I worry about short AF as well jam. - mine are really light and last 2 days max with barely anything on second day. This worries me as I think there may not be enough lining for anything to latch on to! Will be getting on to the raspberry leaf tea as soon as cycle 9 (😫) kicks in. Hope it goes ok at the docs.

harrietm87 · 07/02/2017 14:43

jam my AF has been like that since July as well. After a lot of googling I decided it's likely to be a natural part of getting older - apparently normal to have changes to cycles in your late twenties and thirties. Hope you feel better soon.

sk1pper · 07/02/2017 14:23

If your scans were clear of cysts the only type of cyst it could be is those ones you get on the ramp up to ovulation (the ones I suffer from). Unless you've had one form very quickly since your scan, but seems unlikely. Hope you feel better soon xxx

Flashinthepan · 07/02/2017 13:57

Good luck at the docs! Let us know how it goes. Fingers crossed it's just a horrid virus and will go away quickly!

Londonjam · 07/02/2017 13:48

AF has been weirdly short over last few months flash , it's heavy for two days then stops. It stopped Saturday night and I started feeling unwell Sunday. God know if it's related. Made it to the doctors without passing out! I hate feeling so faint ☹️

Flashinthepan · 07/02/2017 13:45

London is AF over? No more bleeding/spotting?

Londonjam · 07/02/2017 13:09

I think it must be a virus skipper. I'm wiped out, no appetite, aching and light headed. No temperature. But really intense low abdo pain - wtf is that? I've had it before and my gynae mate said it could be a cyst. My uterus scan came up clear however Hmm. I've managed to get an appointment with the nurse practitioner anyway so will see what she says.

sk1pper · 07/02/2017 13:05

Jam - what CD are you now? Sounds like a virus to be honest, especially if your back has been hurting but not sure why you are getting abdominal pain.

MrsBlue - I'm not gonna test now, just gonna wait for AF on Saturday. It's going to be tough. Thursday was going to be my test day but only with an FRER - do you have one of those?

Pyjamas - batshit mental week indeed!!!

Pyjamas81 · 07/02/2017 13:00

Ha ha hep - love that chant!

Thanks Jam and bluebell - this really is the hardest point out of the whole of Batshit Mental Week! No change - still slight pink CM when wiping. My head says 'you know what it is, you complete fool', my heart says 'what if...'. What a load of tedious boring bollocks.

Mrsbluebell17 · 07/02/2017 12:48

Hope you're feeling better soon jam. I definitely think you should see a doctor.

Pjs I have my fingers crossed for you, you're not out!!!

Skip - my testing buddy, I'm going absolutely insane symptom spotting. Just went in a supermarket and had such a hot flush I started sweating. Still some on and off cramps, funny taste in my mouth and no sign of AF. So desperate for this to be it!!!!! How are you feeling? It's so hard not to symptom spot. I think I'm 10dpo today, when would it show up on a test if I was? Is 12dpo ok? That will be Thursday so fingers crossed.

Harriet - Massive congrats. That's a great line. Keep positive, and good luck for the next 9 months x

Londonjam · 07/02/2017 12:33

Sorry kath ☹️ we can face cycle 15 together. Where are you up to with investigations? Is Thursday your initial or a hycosy? Sorry about being baby bombed at work too - what timing!

Congratulations Harriet! Wishing you a sticky bean 🌸

Hang in there pyjamas you are sounding so strong. If you need to have a cry go for it. I hope full af stays away but if not you will be okay.

Yes hep! Fabulous strong ladies all round

Still feeling crook today and woke up at 2am with intense lower abdominal pain, lasting about an hour. Feeling wiped out, no appetite at all still, tummy pain and back pain - for the third day now. Might try and see if I can get in at the doctors. Hope it's not gynae or ttc related 😕

MissyJones80s · 07/02/2017 12:23

Rocking whilst chanting skip

sk1pper · 07/02/2017 12:10

Ha ha Hep - I'm glad there is a voice of reason on here! I'll be gently rocking in the corner if anyone wants me.
