Calling all OPK-ers, Temp-ers, Clomid-ers, Femara-ers, IUI-ers, IVF-ers and anyone else on the TTC #1 Bus.

We've been going a while now so the novelty has somewhat worn off and we're slightly battle scarred and bruised in the cervix area. We've ditched the Gregorian calendar in favour of the TTC Cycle Day calendar, and we don't get a lot of baby dust in these here parts, we just keep it legs spread and fingers crossed (LSFX). We love a baby bomb from a prior bus-mate but if we get told to 'just relax and enjoy it' ONE MORE TIME you will get a punch in the face!

We have a new Grad's Thread. We recently lost a whole load of ttc veterans to the good side and we're absolutely desperate to join in the fun! May 2017 lead us all to upduffed heaven and the Grad's thread, amen.

We don't have rules as such but expect to be talked down from the ledge with kind but firm words if you get too hysterical. But most importantly, don't convince yourself that you're pregnant in the tww. That is paramount!

Hop on board, post your stats and prepare to be dazzled by the wealth of TTC knowledge we long-timeys have to share...

I agree with Alexia, you don't need to apologise at all kwick. This whole TTC thing has really been a lesson to me in not to take anything for granted and I hope, if nothing else, it will make me more empathetic towards others in a similar situation. I'm so in awe and inspired by the strength of you and of all the women on this thread who are struggling. On the whole, I've led a relatively charmed life but you never know how strong you are until you are tested.

sk1pper · 09/02/2017 17:16

Kwick - it's not a downer, we all wanted to know either way. I just wish we could be celebrating with you instead. You're not giving up right? We need you Kwick to lead us all to fertility and beyond!!!

macsworth · 09/02/2017 17:12

mouse so sorry for your news. As others have said you need to focus on your health right now to prepare you body for a healthy sticky bean.
I had hyperthyroidism about 6 years ago and it was controlled really quickly with meds and it's now totally fine. You'll get there.

Kaydee2017 · 09/02/2017 17:11

Oh and colour congrats - definitely a line Grin

Kaydee2017 · 09/02/2017 17:10

Thanks ladies! Not as down as I should be really but knowing that there was a 0.1% chance I just wanted AF to appear so we can get going again Smile lucky cycle number 3 anyone??

On the feeling thankful thing, today it's that DH gets me and when I texted him to say AF was here he just replied 'pub?' Grin

Definitely agree we are more than overdue lots of sticky BFPs on this thread - fertility gods, whenever you are ready??!!

macsworth · 09/02/2017 17:07

kwick you have not put a downer anywhere. You are so loved on this thread, you're such a strong supportive woman. We all wanted this for you so much and are here to support you.

AlexiaB · 09/02/2017 16:58

Kwick do not apologise for putting a downer on the thread! You have not done that at all. We're all so invested in your journey and we feel your pain! Call your mum and have a good old cry. She loves you and you need her right now. This is not easy in the slightest. I'm glad you have a plan for tomorrow but I'm deeply sorry this is your reality. Your strength and attitude amaze me xxx

I'm thankful to own a lovely home with pleasant neighbours. I'm thankful for a loving and supportive family, and a strong and level headed OH. And I'm thankful for the support I have been given from friends, family, consultants and you terrible lot on here :) don't know what I'd do without any of this.

Colour - it's not really a squinter, can see it perfectly. Congratulations! Xx

Yoga today, that will piss the witch off - ha ha.

kwick · 09/02/2017 16:52

Thank you all so much for your lovely comments 💕
mouselove sorry I have not PMed you - working off phone and not sure how to so it from here.
I was going to let nature take its course but over on my donor iui thread shoes has said I should get the recurrence tested so will probably go to EPU in the morning.
flash I have spent the afternoon catching up on The Halcyon and thinking how lucky I am compared to those in second world war - does that count?
Suppose I should ring my mum... texted her earlier... know I will just cry down the phone and she will worry more.

Sorry for putting such a downer on the thread. Remember I am the geriatric element here - you lot have no need to fear and all your BFPs are just around the corner.

And in the words of Evita: don't cry for me MN

AlexiaB · 09/02/2017 16:47

Thank you Mouse 😍 I've been meaning to reply to your pm for ages, please accept my apologies. You have not been far from my thoughts. Sending you big hugs. That must have been gutting to hear that news today. I guess all you can do is focus on yourself and your health for now and hope that this will result in a quick bfp and healthy bub. It's okay to be sad and angry but you're one of the strongest people I know so I know you will get through this with the love and support from your family (and us) Flowers

Hep sorry Flowers that sucks.

colour that is 100% positive. Congrats! You will see line progression if you test again tomorrow.

Skipper I truly hope af isn't coming but I know that sinking feeling. Unfortunately we've been here far too often! Big hugs xxx

kwick I can't stop thinking about you. I'm sooo sad so I can only imagine how crushed you are. I'm so sorry CakeFlowers

Sorry Kaydee Flowers

Bluebell ttc is all consuming and emotionally draining no matter where you're at in your journey. Wishing you a swift bfp Flowers

Congrats on your lovely scan Star Smile

Great PMA Flash. I need to work on this this cycle. Right... I'm thankful to have the best DH in the world and I'm grateful to have a nice warm home and financial stability. I'm happy today because I bought Lady Gaga tickets for October. Even though ttc is completely shit we all have a lot to be thankful for, which can be hard to remember in those deep, dark moments we all have.

Oh Kwick I'm so sorry for you. There are no words. I'm in tears here. Thinking of you & sending you a big hug xxxxxxx

colourmylife · 09/02/2017 16:29

11DPO Flash I haven't mentioned to DP yet I want to have a darker test to show him. Will test again on sat morning and hopefully there will be a line!

colourmylife · 09/02/2017 16:26

Oh Kwick I posted before reading your message I am so sorry! This is absolute bullshit and there are no words!

Mrsbluebell17 · 09/02/2017 16:24

Colour that looks positive to me? Congrats.

Kaydee - oh no, AF sucks!!!!

Skipper - sorry to hear this..... I'll still
Keep my fingers crossed for you.
I think I might have started with the brown spotting before AF too, I've had a bit when I've wiped sometimes over the last two days and other times it's completely clear. I just can't work it out.

I feel totally, totally drained by all of this. I know I'm fairly new to the game but I absolutely thought I was pg this month and was waiting for my BFP to show today. I know af hasn't got me totally yet but I think it's just a matter of time.

Hugs to everyone - it's been a mixed emotions kinda day!

HepKestrel · 09/02/2017 16:22

theres definitely a line there colour!

Flashinthepan · 09/02/2017 16:21

It's faint but it's there colour! I forgot how many dpo you are...

colourmylife · 09/02/2017 16:19

Here's a pic from this morning. It's so faint though I feel silly posting it!
Also, I'm starting to doubt if a line appeared within the 3 minute time slot or not. So I don't know if it means anything! Argghhg this is torture!

Flowers kaydee

Flashinthepan · 09/02/2017 16:08

Skip keeping my fingers crossed soon but sympathising with how you are feeling.

I know it's a shitty day for some, especially for kwick so feel free to ignore this, or tell me to shut up, but maybe it would be good, anyone who reads this message and is in need of a pick me up, says one thing they love about themselves or their life, not as a 'be grateful for what you've got' but just as a way to remind us all that we are worthwhile, and that we have a lot to look forward to! I'll go first I love how fit I have got in the last year and how I've stuck with my running, even when I've been through some rough patches!

sk1pper · 09/02/2017 15:58

Mouse - I'm sorry to hear that your journey is going to be a bit longer than planned but you need to be as healthy as possible for your beautiful baby. And as others have said, 6 months will be over before you know it.

Hep - that is hard but don't think of what could of been, think of what will be xx

Kay - fuck fuck fuck! Flowers

Afraid I have no good news either, my brown spotting started - two days before AF right on cue. I know I'm not out till I'm out but this is cycle 18 and I'm confident I'm out now.

Hope the thread picks up soon, we've hit a rough patch for sure.

Flashinthepan · 09/02/2017 14:39

Oh Hep, big hugs. Either of those would be bad enough but both together is a bugger.

Kaydee I work on the principal that its first full day of AF, but if it's properly heavy for you now already, then go from today?

Mouse really sorry to hear your struggles. Just try and focus on the fact that you are doing this to be healthy for the baby you have yet to meet.

Good luck pug. FX that this month you get a happy anniversary surprise instead of the witch.

HepKestrel · 09/02/2017 14:30

fuck. just got baby bombed by family member (their 3rd kid)
shit.
my EDD was in 10 days time.

Kaydee2017 · 09/02/2017 14:30

AF has just appeared!! Is today CD1 or tomorrow?? Hmm

harrietm87 · 09/02/2017 14:26

Oh kwick so so sorry. I'm devastated for you. You have been so brave and you really don't deserve this.

Also mouse sorry to hear that. But the time will fly by and it will give you the best possible chance.

pug yes, thank you. But only 4 weeks today and not really ready to believe it yet. Sticking around here as long as you'll have me cos I love this thread - best bunch on Mumsnet.

WingingIt83 · 09/02/2017 14:09

I'm so devastated for you kwick it just seems so unfair Sad
