I'm sat shaking. We've been trying to conceive in what seems like forever! Is this my first BFP?!

He wants you to abort and still stay together? You know you won't be able to do this happily. You will resent him. It sounds strange. You planned this together.

He can't control you like this. I'm really hoping he's in shock. Try to stay calm and remind him you've been planning this together for a year.

How long have you been together?

I really do think starting a thread in relationships would be helpful. More insightful women would see it and help you work your way through this.

I'm panicking, what if he doesn't change his mind? There's no way we can stay together. I don't want to do it alone.

violet I've wanted this for so long and thought he did too. Nothing makes sense right now, i'm sat at work sobbing.

Before I found out I was pregnant, I told him my boobs hurt and he replied saying "I feel you are pregnant, congratulations my love, we have a baby on the way! and a silly/happy face. Now I really am. He's very calm and saying it's ok you can have an abortion, we'll pay to go private and is bombarding me with private clinics. I want this baby, i'm not sure I want to raise it alone and I don't want to lose him but he isn't my first priority at the minute.

I'm hoping it's shock. It's all surreal Sad

I wonder if starting a thread in relationships might help get some knowledgeable advice.

Can anyone help? I've told him at first he was pleased and now he's completely flipped out. We've wanted this for a year and now he's telling me he wants me to have an abortion?! I can't do this. I just can't

new i'm 20DPO, I tested around 10 days ago and it was a very clear BFN. I assumed I was out again for this month and left it. Driving home I thought i'm going to take that last pregnancy test and it was the first pic I posted. I never know when my period comes, my cycle is anything from 32 - 41 days so I just wait for it to come. I've never had BFP before!

Tatty Thank you so much. I have been using Glow App on my iPhone and record any symptoms on there, we've tried for so long I disregarded any and didn't think too much about them as any symptom can be a sign of pregnancy (or so it seems!) I had very sore boobs around the time I must of conceived that haven't gone away which was the only strange thing. Did you test this morning?! Mine says 2-3 with Clear Blue.

Yes it is, I tested as I was being floored by headaches and generally feeling crappy crawling into bed at 8!

This would be the 1st month with cheapy ovulation sticks. Testing tomorrow morning, I'm due to go out so wanted to know if I could have 1 or 2! 1 it is if I fancy it ( not a big drinker anyway) only cracked this evening as fed up of the headaches. So exciting not getting hopes up tho just in case we read it wrong LOL have ots of tests to use up so no probs then will buy an expensive one so it says it!

This is great! Congratulations! Did u have any symptoms of pregnancy or did u miss a period or anything? Bet you tell your partner! At the meal is a great idea..but I bet you wont be abe to hold off!! Bet you've planned in your head for ever how you would like to tel him aswell!! Xxx

trytowin oh how exciting!! Is it your first?! I'm going to take a Clear Blue tomorrow morning! When are you going to test again?

billy that is probably going to be me! I'll burst and tell him. I'm already nervous for him to come home, he knows me so well he'll just know I have something to tell!

I was going to wait to make telling DH all special and planned but I blurted it out through happy tears at 5am when I had woken up super early to test.
Turns out, that was really special anyway.

I love the restaurant idea but I'm not sure you'll keep your joy all to yourself for days!!

I'm so happy for you.

Congrats I think I have a squinter too! I think do the clear blue so you have a weeks info then tell him at meal. I called my dh in already cos I thought I had line eye! Lol I didn't say anything to see if he saw it without me leading it

Tell him tonight!!! I did about 4 tests before I started to believe. Even then it didn't seem real 😂

Thank you. It's hard to believe it's real. DP has been wanting to go to a particular restaurant for months, I've secretly booked it for Saturday night for a late birthday treat, it's the only time I could get in.

Shall I wait till I've been to the doctors or do I tell him tonight or at the meal? Shock

Thank you all so much. I cannot believe it, it still doesn't feel feel - we are actually pregnant. I hope it sticks. I've ran to Tesco and brought a Clear Blue for tomorrow morning and a Tesco cheapie for now.

We've been trying to conceive for bang on a year. I was beginning to think it wouldn't happen.
