Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

Good luck Rose & Phase - hope you both get your BFPs this cycle! Would be lovely to test and get one on Valentine's day!
My BFP is due on 5th March! I'm CD 9 just now - was planning on DTD last night but nightshift tires me out so much! Gearing up for FW!
I've never tried raspberry tea but I do like to keep fit and go to the gym regularly. I've let it slip since Xmas though and struggling to get back into it! TTC and be the healthiest I can be should defo be a motivator!

bakingmad83 · 13/02/2017 21:36

Evening, hope your weeks have got off to a good start!

Hope you had a lovely weekend away missmagpie :)

Sorry Moo, misread raspberry as raspberry leaf, must just have been remembering it from last time.

Good luck with your marathon mrsb! When is it? I only got to 10Ks, as have dodgy knees, so decided running was doing me more harm than good.

You're right Hippy, exercise in pregnancy is a great idea. I walked for 90mins daily during my last pregnancy, which I think helped me avoid putting on too much weight while pregnant and I never had any pregnancy related aches or pains - though could have been luck on both fronts! I was back out walking within a few days of delivery too, this time with a pram, albeit walking like a cowboy after forceps :)

sarahboro1 · 13/02/2017 21:33

Evening ladies!! Just checking in to see if we have any poas'ers yet??!! I went shopping today and couldn't find any raspberry leaf tea, I was so disappointed it was pathetic!!

Anyone doing anything romantic tomorrow?? Xx

Symptom spot away ... we call it PMA here xxx

OP posts:
mrsbarnettsbaby · 13/02/2017 20:04

I am still marathon training as it is on the horizon now and I have to assume I am not pg until I get a bfp. Can't do us any harm to keep fit and healthy. Still no af here. Is anyone else testing on Sunday? FX for us all.

Hippychic79 · 13/02/2017 19:58

Hi Phase - not long to wait now ... eeek how exciting .... especially if you got bfp 3 years after your last :))
I've been reading today that moderate exercise throughout pg has many benefits to mother and baby ... inc shorter delivery time and getting body back quicker :)))) xxx

OP posts:
Itsjustaphase84 · 13/02/2017 19:43

Also I'm trying to avoid symptom spotting apart from my horrific ov pain which felt like period pain. I got that in my previous pg cycle but I'm not thinking too much into that. Hey ho let's see x

Itsjustaphase84 · 13/02/2017 19:41

Evening all. Struggling to keep up with these threads. I'm 11dpo cd28. Can't say how I feel. Really indifferent this month. If af comes on Friday I'm going to start toning up slightly. As someone else said, I was also superfit when I conceived DC1.

Hippy it's so hard because you want to talk to someone in person about TTC but also feel like saying fuck all. Which so far I've kept quite. This time 3 years ago I found out I was pg.

Hippychic79 · 13/02/2017 19:11

Raspberry leaf tea is ok Hun - bit bland but not bad xxx

Thank you for the list Salem - you're a diamond 💎 xxx
Flowers for your friend xxx
I can't keep my tTC mouth shut either - told a few close friends and although I know they have my best interests at heart it's like they're riding along with me asking when we're getting to destination bfp..... if I only I knew :)))
Enjoy your bd xxx

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 13/02/2017 17:57

Hello all Grin.
I hope you are all ok today.
I tried some raspberry tea - not raspberry leaf - and ugh it was not delicious. I think I am going to stick with the milk & 2 sugars!
Glad AF has left you Charley, she has left me too! So hopeful for a bit of BD tonight even though it is CD7 and SMEP says start on CD8. I can't wait any longer!
Archies awwwww, love little tiny babies! Even seeing babies on the street makes me insanely broody now.
I cannot keep my TTC mouth shut. I have told quite a few people now. Why? Why? Why? But it is so exciting Sad. I have found out that a colleague has been trying for 18months and has had to have an operation because of a cyst on her ovary. It really does make you think that this TTC is flipping difficult.
I updated the March Bus as a few people asked to be added Smile.

Great to hear AF has gone for you Charley... I'll be kicking her out in a two days tops and then back to practising for fw :) Yaaaaaaaay :))) xxx

Nice one Anna - Florence will be an amazing distraction. I wish i had something lovely like that planned to take my mind off this ttc lark! xxx

Archies - good on ya for getting back to the gym. I used to be mad for the gym (met DP there which got me very hooked for a while)... nowadays I've slipped back to 4 times a week.... but it is good for PMA. xxx

Nooooooooooo AF .... stay away from Rose! Still keeping my fx crossed for you hun xxx

OP posts:
Roseandbee · 13/02/2017 15:23

Thanks everyone will POAS tomorrow but I'm getting less hopeful as I have a bit of spotting today, sigh

It's a lovely sunny day here today. I reckon a bit of sunshine will make the ttc process much easier. It definitely helps the pma and it seems like there's nothing to do over winter than sit at home stewing.

ArchiesMamaBird · 13/02/2017 14:48

Hi Ladies Smile

I went back to the gym this lunchtime for the first time in aaaaaaages. I was super fit when DS was conceived, so I've decided that I'm going to try and work out 4-5 times a week again (if nothing else, it makes me feel better)

Charley So glad that AF is gone. Mine only really lasted 24 hours this month which is strange, but I've had spotting for the last 5 days which seems to finally be going now.

Rose your willpower is amazing!! Got everything crossed for a BFP for you

My friend has just this second sent me a picture of her brand new baby boy who was born this morning and he is so bloody gorgeous, but my god I'm even more broody now!

Anna2006 · 13/02/2017 13:15

Eugh Hippy im felling ha. CD3... boring!! Still Florence this weekend and then I shall forget about it. By time I'm back from Florence I will be CD13!

Yay

Charley2016 · 13/02/2017 13:13

Afternoon ladies Smile

AF has finally left and I had a cheeky practice run last night so feeling good today. Mid term here so working from home in the quiet!

I haven't tried the raspberry leaf tea. Will need to give it a try. I took EPO and grapefruit juice lady cycld but didn't notice any difference. Will take the EPO for this cycle again though seeing as I have it anyway. I think I'll try the SMTE plan too! Got baby bombed twice today too! One Facebook and one friend. So happy for them but makes my ovaries ache a bit more too!

Magpie hope you had a lovely weekend in London!

Rose how are you doing? Still no poas?

Baking glad you got a good nights sleep.

Hippychic79 · 13/02/2017 11:00

Good Morning Magpie - good to have you back.
Did you do anything exciting in London?
I wish I was 4DPO.... I'm not even CD4 yet :) LOL

OP posts:
MissMagpie · 13/02/2017 10:31

Morning everyone. I went to London for the weekend so haven't checked in for a couple of days and have missed lots!

I love reading about everyone else's lives. So nice to not feel alone on this long and winding road.

Update for me, so I can be added to the list Salem...

TTC2 - cycle 8 - age 34 - BFP due from 22nd Feb onwards.

I am 4dpo today. Nothing to report! Had some strange pulling feelings in the womb area over the weekend but this was most likely due to the enormous amount I ate as it is too early to be anything else, LOL!

Hippychic79 · 13/02/2017 09:29

Rose - sorry that meant to say not POAS :))

OP posts:
Hippychic79 · 13/02/2017 09:26

OK so we had friends round last night and I was running late this morning for the gym so I didn't get chance to catch up on the thread and respond... but i have now...

Anna - Yes yes yes, try and stay as calm as possible. Maybe try some daily meditation / affirmations / visualisations - all of which are relaxing and positive. I know right, CD3 today, don't remind me... fw seems so far away right now! xxx

Thanks Sarahb - I'm not that deprived in the bedroom but as DP doesn't want to start properly trying, I'm on a bit of a back foot in terms of ttc .... DP works loads and so I really am relying on fate and the universe's help here to make sure we hit the magical time. xxx

Blondie - your CM sounds about right. No such thing as TMI on this thread (or any other MN thread i suspect). Not everyone gets EWCM so don't worry too much - you're definitely ovulating ... thats the main thing. i used preseed this cycle (bought off amazon), I don't think you need to use as much as it states on the box - so some of the ladies on mumsnet have told me, i certainly used less than stated... but who knows! Let us know how you get on with it :) Good luck. FX xxx

Thanks Moo - AF should be gone soon. Fortunately i have experienced zero pain this cycle and for that i am very, very grateful. my cramps used to be unbearable but the last 3 cycles (since acupuncture), i have just felt slightly uncomfortable, i know she's there but only just. xxx

Echo what others have said about raspberry tea - only drink up to ovulation, avoid in 2ww and if pregnant do not use until the last trimester. xxx

Moo - hope you had a lovely time with your cousin and her x2 DC's xxx

Raspberry tea is ok - you're right though Moo they usually smell better than they taste. I drink the Pukka brand and they're delicious. Warming herbal teas (like ginger & cinamon are good for ttc) as is nettle tea.... i like the Pukka Cleanse variant.

Baking - thank you... CD3 today, so AF will be gone in a few days thank god :)) Hopefully not to be seen again for another 9 months :))) xxx

Rose - Big well done to you for POAS....
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek I'm excited for you - especially with your mum's intuition... i have a good feeling for you too :)) Keep us posted xxx

Morning all! Happy Monday x

bakingmad83 · 13/02/2017 07:32

Morning ladies!

DS only woke once so a good night's sleep thanks :)

Another quick one, but I'm intrigued by raspberry leaf tea for conception, as it's something you can take to help bring on/strengthen contractions in labour. I suppose it must be beneficial for you uterus overall then, but I see what you say about when to take it Moo so that makes sense. Sorry if I've missed a post on this, but just quickly scanning while I catch a couple of mins while DS happily playing.

Moo31 · 13/02/2017 07:31

Positive Monday vibes right back at ya hippy! Grin Happy Monday all!! Xo
