Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

All the little animals are lovely! We haven't got any pets - I want a guinea pig as we always had them when I was growing up. Oh wants a cat but I'm allergic. So we are compromising on neither lol

Anne hope you had a lovely time tonight - love a swim and a spa :)

Mrsb I don't know how you are coping and how you haven't sneakily poas when oh is at work. You have serious willpower I would have caved weeks ago!!!

Magpie baby bombings are hard to take but 11 seriously!? I can't even imagine. Hope you're OK. Your time will come - soon! :) And good luck with the inlaws!

Baking I'm CD13 so we're cycle buddies(ish) :)

I poas opk tonight and got a very very very barely there faint line. We are dtd'ing in the morning in line with smep but then I head off to my cousins until Sunday so I am hoping and praying I don't miss ovulation! I'm not sure whether to take any opks with me as I'm scared of anyone finding them in my handbag and the cat will be out of the bag that we are ttc but how will I cope with not knowing!? Argh! My cycle has been no less than 30 days which means ov should be Sunday or Monday - I'll be tackling oh when I get through the door on Sunday night!

I wonder where dolly has got to (unless I have missed her posts) - she was on the same cycle too. Salem i think we are also cycle buddies??

Here are my two

Charley when I was little I decided to call my guinea pigs chip and dale, which unfortunately most people associated with the erm exotic male dancersConfused

MrsBarnett two weeks! And cd80 I'd have taken a hundred test by nowShock

Wow magpie 11 baby bombs! :-/ there never seems to be any babies in my life, I have almost zero baby experience. I'm still at the scared to hold one incase I drop it stage Blush

Well, I was going to buy a test tomorrow ready to test at the weekend. My dp works away during the week so I only test at weekends when we are together. He doesn't want to be disappointed again so he wants to wait 2 more weeks! 😱 By then I will be cd 80. Assuming AF doesn't appear in the meantime. I just want to know. I hate being in limbo!

MissMagpie · 15/02/2017 22:21

Lol everyone at the in law comments! To be fair, they aren't that bad, they are useful around the house and we use them for babysitting as they love to see their grandson.

So the 11th couple I know since we started trying for #2 has just announced their pregnancy. 11 baby bombings. Surely it's my turn soon. Am I the only person I know who doesn't get pregnant at the drop of a hat?!

Charley2016 · 15/02/2017 22:02

Sorry ladies, super busy day and then 3 hours in the hairdressers to get all my hair lobbed off Smile feels so liberating! This is my little baby (he's nearly 8). I do worry about how he will be with a little one, especially with DH as he constantly sits on him and they don't sleep unless they are together Hmm

Magpie, you must have lovely in-laws! No way could I cope haha!

Baking I used to want a dog and baby together so they could be best friends haha! But the thought of changing nappies, breastfeeding, sleeping etc all while puppy training just seems too much for me.

Rose kitty and katty sound amazing! I used to have hamsters called marsh and mallow Blush

Anna spa evening sounds amazing! Hope you have a lovely night hun.

Evening ladies,

Hope you enjoy your spa evening Anna!

Goodness Missmagpie, a fortnight, you deserve a medal!

Love the pet pics! We debated about getting something furry, but decided to wait till after we (fingers crossed) have a 2nd, as we'd really like a dog, but think a toddler, baby and dog might be a bit much, for me anyway!

CD11 here, I had to count just there, as not keeping such close track on which day I'm on this cycle - maybe it's because I'm expecting another long one after the 49 days last time. Had planned dtd every other day from CD8, but only managed it once so far and none for another 2 days due to DH's night shifts. Before DS his shifts didn't matter, as found time to dtd during the day as I was working from home. We've only just switched DS from naps in his cot to the car (to try to help him wean from feeding to sleep), but I'm now thinking this wasn't such a good idea for ttc, as removing a chance for daytime dtd!

Can't see DH getting up on all the terms - he just thinks that we need to relax and have regular sex, which I'm inclined to agree with to a point, not that the latter is happening at the mo, but going to make the most of all the evenings we have together when DS is in bed for the rest of this cycle :)

Roseandbee · 15/02/2017 20:53

Have a lovely time Anna!
ooo theres lots of cute Kitty's here.
Salem my cat was called, "Katty" which is very original, but i thought it was funny because my mums cat is called Kitty.
Hippy your bunnies are such gorgeous colours. Have you decided if you'd like identical twins?

Hippychic79 · 15/02/2017 19:48

Thanks ladies :))) I love them to bits they're my babies ... but no substitute for a real little 👶 xxx

Aww loving all the cute cats. I have a cat called Indie. Shes my baby 😍

I'm now offf for a swim & spa evening with my friend. Thought why not treat myself!

BellaMoon · 15/02/2017 19:34

@magpie does your OH suffer a lot from migraines? girl in my work does, but had a constant headache also. she had a certain bit of her ear pierced on saturday gone and she hasn't had any pain whatsoever since!

obvs ear piercing for a guy might not be up his street but as a pressure point might be worth applying pressure til the head lifts and getting on with your DTD while OPK Smile

BellaMoon · 15/02/2017 19:26

@magpie that is weird for your cycle to completely shorten like that - suppose your PMA is spot on tho, more cycles means more OPK etc. win win xx

BellaMoon · 15/02/2017 19:15

aww the rabbits and kitties are sooo cute - well we might not be making cute babies yet but we are certainly making cute pets - boom boom! lol

a fortnight with the inlaws - wow! doffs cap

my cat is Bella (aka the dark destroyer) - she's such a dick at times lol. she loves me when she's in the mood but merely tolerates the DH which keeps me amused haha

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 15/02/2017 18:48

Awww Lenny & Smokey are gorgeous xxx

Hippychic79 · 15/02/2017 18:42

Rose that's funny - link between PMA and boobies ... also love your flower pics of boobies BellaGrin

Magpie - wow that's a long time for the in laws to stay ... mine aren't local to me so stayed the other week for 24hours and that was hard enough... fair play to you - you must have the patience of a saint! Xxx

Hippychic79 · 15/02/2017 18:34

Evening ladies ... hearing you all talk about your dp's getting involved in acronym guessing etc is making me smile I wish my oh was fully on board with this tTC lark - if he was im sure he'd be exactly the same - getting all confused, googling stuff and dtd every night in fw .... It's so hard ... part of me wants to fess up and tell him how I feel but the other part of me is scared because if he really doesn't want tTC then he will put a complete halt to dtd in fw until he looses track of days . No he stresses enough as it is - I'll just carry on tTC too secret mission Wink

Rose funnily enough I tried drawing a baby face this afternoon and it was rubbish so I screw it up in a paddy and thought I'd try again at the wk end ... I'll try and draw twins ... that's a great idea xxx

MissMagpie · 15/02/2017 17:54

My in laws are staying for the best part of a fortnight Rose. They live abroad so stay here a couple of times a year. They help around the house so I can't complain too much but we don't have a big house so privacy is limited!

Bella I got my static smiley last Weds afternoon so am taking Friday as 1dpo. But it is a bit inexact. Which is frustrating. But I don't temp so just guess a bit!

What is weird is that my cycles are a week shorter than they used to be. In fact before having DS they were even 40 days plus. Now they are 28 or 29! At least it gives me more chances to conceive a year eh?!

Roseandbee · 15/02/2017 17:41

Salem, is you cat called salem?

Roseandbee · 15/02/2017 17:39

Hippy have you drawn your baby yet? maybe you should draw some twins

baking i dabble a bit in card making too, did the family ones this Chrismas,

Bella i was going to ask if anyone had pets, whats your cat called? Ive got two dogs.

Its odd were getting a lot of boob symptoms, maybe someone should do a study about the effects of PMA on breast tissue lol

How long are your inlaws staying Magpie?

Moo I was trying to get my DH to guess what everything stood for last week, he was saying hes been trying to google about stuff but why does everyone talk in code.

Charley ill def be having a drink or two during my waiting time, that def takes my mind off things

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 15/02/2017 17:29

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is ok today.
Bella your cat is adorable. Here is my little one.
Fingers crossed for you & Magpie!
Today should be DTD day according to SMEP but DH has had a migraine all day so I think we will have to miss out Sad. Also, opk was not as dark as yesterday. Hoping I haven't missed ovulation, although I am only on CD9....

Destination conception ... route PMA.
Anna2006 · 15/02/2017 17:24

Yep pretty much! 14 days is a standard luteal phase. Everyone's is different. Some can have 16 days. Some as little as 10. It's unique to you I think. At least 10 is needed though to fall pregnant really.

But if you know when you ovulate. Or when you get your positive OPK. You could roughly work it out xx

BellaMoon · 15/02/2017 17:22

correction @anna

obviously the luteal phase would be 2 weeks based on ovulating on cd14? think iv got it now xx

BellaMoon · 15/02/2017 17:20

@anna. thank you for taking the time to do that - you're a star!

so essential, the 2WW is the same, roughly?

xx
