Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

Haha yeh I think a squinted would stress me out and I'd rush to the shops and buy another 10 tests. Although I only have ICs in the house which is helping because I've read stories of people not getting BFP on those until after AF is due so feels a waste. Not sure if it's the PMA or what but I'm so more chilled this month..... I mean I'm still on MN loads but I'm not stressed or anxious about getting AF. Hoping I'm still the same if she comes. What day do you think you will test?

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 05/02/2017 10:56

Good morning, everyone & welcome to all of our new members Flowers.

I had such an exciting day/night yesterday so I didn't get chance to catch up on the thread! It is my birthday in a few days so DH and I celebrated I had Krispy Kreme for breakfast...

Charley & Hippy my cycles are like yours both, too! 25/28/29 days. But (and I'm sorry I'm not being very positive here...) I feel very worried today because I've just found brown spotting when I wipe and I feel slight discomfort on my left pelvic side. I really, really, really hope that it is not AF but I can't rule that out because it is CD26 Sad. I'm not due for another few days and I am praying that it is implantation spotting but this happened last cycle on days 21,22 & 23 so I doubt that it is IS.

I hope everyone is ok today, sending positive vibes to all xxx

Hippychic79 · 05/02/2017 10:50

My cycles are a bit like yours Charley and I'm sure you'd recognise a squinter .... if not some of the lovely ladies on here definitely would .... I think that's why I want to wait to test ... I want to see a strong line ... some of the ones I've seen on here (not this thread) have been so faint it's unreal !

Yeah I'm strangely looking forward to sleepless nights too xxx

Typed a huge message and my phone lost it..... bloody technology Hmm

Glad you both have a fresh cycle to start ladies. Hippy I'm the same, just trying to wait it out until the weekend at least. I peed on so many snowy sticks the last few cycles I'm not even sure I'd spot a faint line! I'm cd 24 but last cycles have been 28,27,26,29.

Hope you both got a decent sleep ladies. Im actually really looking forward to waking up in the middle of the night and having some quiet bonding time with a baby but I know how quickly that gets old when you're exhausted haha!

Hippychic79 · 05/02/2017 08:34

CD22 for me today / 7 dpo .... too late to doing any more this cycle which is a shame as dtd last night (horrraaay - love the practice when I can get it, oh is often too tired) ... and too early to test. I can't bear seeing the Snow White back drop on pg tests so I'm aiming on holding out this month .. my cycles are 26-28 days ....
Good luck to everyone else trying hard not to test early
Xxx

Aw fab! Have you been back much?
I'm always impressed by people who're a bit more old school and don't bother with smart phones! I'm a bit too addicted to mine - keep trying to stay off it around DS as don't want him to think it's normal to have one glued to your hand at all times or to think that I don't have the attention span to concentrate on him. But I'm failing miserably! Sad
Think people would also be surprised if they knew I wanted another due to DS' sleeping issues!
Hooray to getting AF (50 days!! OMG!) and getting back on track with your cycles very soon!
6am baking, excellent! Sounds like a very fun Sunday!

bakingmad83 · 05/02/2017 07:13

Love Edinburgh too, was a student there! DH is off to a stag do there later this month I think. We're now in Cumbria.

I'm not always great at checking mumsnet, as don't have smartphone/tablet yet, so just a case of getting laptop out, which doesn't happen much with DS about and in the evening meant to be working, not that I'm doing much of that at mo!

Haven't told anyone in real life ttc #2. A lot of people have assumed we won't have another for a while as DS is a bad sleeper!

After nearly 50 days AF is here, whoop! Probs why I decided baking cookies with DS was a good activity at 6am this morning :) Hope next cycle is a bit shorter :)

sweetcheeks24 · 05/02/2017 00:22

Fab! I didn't even know Riverdance was playing! (Think that speaks volumes about my social life these days!)
Don't worry, you're not alone - I think it's my son DH is missing more than anything! Plus he's not very well (suspected man flu 🙄) so he's feeling sorry for himself!
Ah that's good you have people to confide in - totally takes the pressure off. Nothing worse than bottling it up, it's so isolating. Great that your DH is so on board and just as keen to get that BFP! Wish mine was a bit more like that!

Charley2016 · 05/02/2017 00:14

Haha likewise I love Edinburgh! I actually have a weekend there next month with the girls to see riverdance and then a weekend with hubby over Easter too!

Totally cute that dh is missing you! I was away last weekend and hardly got a phone call haha!

I think everyone knows we're trying! Not because we've told them but just because I've been broody for years, everyone on my family have children really young, I've worked with children forever and said I wouldn't have kids until I was married. Also dh is 10yrs older so they know he was keen too. I have spoken to my mum and a couple of cousins about it though just because they knew anyway and I didn't want to stress dh with getting frustrated in front of him all the time. Although it's now him asking when ovulation is and making me lie with my legs in the air haha!

sweetcheeks24 · 05/02/2017 00:10

Sent that message too soon!
Your BFP was due on Friday just past? (Sorry for asking things I should know, still trying to catch up on the chat!) Would you normally have done lots of POAS already? Good willpower, if so!
Good luck to Salem and Hippy!!!

sweetcheeks24 · 05/02/2017 00:06

I love Aberdeen! Have had some awesome nights out up there Wink
Finding it quite tough to be honest. I'm genuinely happy for everyone as I love a bit of baby news! But a part of me feels gutted that I don't have my own pregnancy to look forward to. One of my upduffed friends is actually my sister in law so it's very close to home. Nobody knows we're trying so that's making it harder. How about you? Have you confided in anybody IRL?
I think he is missing us - he's been Whatsapping constantly and video called us a few times already! Grin

Charley2016 · 04/02/2017 23:46

Im in Aberdeen. Due BFP on Friday and have had no feelings of wanting to test until today. Although it's thankfully fine again.

Wow sweet 9?!? I though I was bad enough with 2. How are you finding it? Does anyone know you are trying? Glad Af is gone and you can get started on trying for this month. I'm sure dh will of missed you over the weekend Wink hope you get some sleep tonight with the little one Smile

I know Hippy and Salem are due BFPs nearer the end of next week too, both at the weekend I think?

sweetcheeks24 · 04/02/2017 23:41

Thank you Moo! Only ever been to Dublin, would love to visit NI sometime!
And Ooops! I meant 'sorry to hear about the BFNs!!!!' 😳😳😳😳 I'd obviously be delighted to hear about anybody having BFPs!!!

Moo31 · 04/02/2017 23:33

Welcome back sweetcheeks! Ah Edinburgh - lovely city! My sister's hubby is from Linlithgow (but they live in Glasgow). I'm over in Northern Ireland. Hope your little monkey gives you an easy night :)

sweetcheeks24 · 04/02/2017 23:21

Moo - I am from Edinburgh Smile

sweetcheeks24 · 04/02/2017 23:20

Also, NINE(!!!!!) of my mates are currently pregnant and two have just given birth - so I'm also experiencing those mixed feelings of total happiness for them but extreme pain that it's not my time yet!

sweetcheeks24 · 04/02/2017 23:17

Hello again everybody! Sorry for the radio silence, work is a bit crazy and DH has deserted me (stag do in Tenerife; not back until Monday!!) so I'm flying solo with the little monkey - he's currently asleep and in his own bed (who knows for how long?!) so trying to catch up with the chat! I've missed so much! Will check out the links soon, very interested in what you've found, thanks Hippy! Hope you enjoyed the spa day Charley! Sorry to hear about the BFPs. Mine has been and gone already so now looking forward to getting started on this month's DTD efforts! I'm sorry for not acknowledging everybody's comments/posts/stories - really want to but scrolling back through the thread whilst writing a post is a total nightmare on my phone Confused Anyway, hi to everyone old and new on the thread and hope you are all having a great weekend Smile Good luck to everyone currently in the 2ww!

Moo31 · 04/02/2017 22:56

Wow! Insensitive neighbours / bosses / a n others! People don't have a clue do they!?

Hippy - exactly what Charley said - glad you're in a better place now!

Yes I have lost track of who is due bfps this week too - hippy did you say you were keeping a list?

Where is everyone from??

Roseandbee · 04/02/2017 22:28

Lol! It's such an odd question anyway as people know most people keep it a secret so what do they expect you to say "I had sex twice this morning so fingers crossed!" I think you should've def said that to your neighbor charley haha and maybe added that you'll be trying again tonight so you hope the noise doesn't disturb them too much Grin

Charley2016 · 04/02/2017 22:18

Oh god hippy that sounds rough! Lovely that you're obviously in a much happier place now though Grin

Who all are getting their BFPs this week? I keep losing track!

Hippychic79 · 04/02/2017 22:03

People can be so bloody insensitive... I've been laughing it off for years. Got married about 6 years ago but when I realised the next step was kids I realised I'd made a mistake ... it took a further 2-3 years before I officially exited that relationship and all that time I had the so when you having kids question ... I'm surprised I didn't slap anyone 😂 Xxx

OP posts:
Charley2016 · 04/02/2017 21:53

Yeh it's charley Smile although I did spend my whole childhood getting asked if it was charlotte.

I had a sickness bug early January and my boss actually called and asked if she should put down gastric problems or pregnancy symptoms... I will never again ask someone if they plan on having kids or when the next one is haha! Either that or tell them how much trouble we went to with OPKs, BD, conceive plus, legs up etc etc 😂

Roseandbee · 04/02/2017 21:48

Thanks Charley:) is your name charley?, I think if I ended up with two girls the second would be Charlie as I like it for either sex.
I feel your pain about the wedding baby nagging I'm quite shocked how many people think it's appropriate to keep harping on about it every time they see you. When I told my boss I was getting married he actually asked me if it was a shot gun wedding because maybe I was finally up the duff?! People tend to just ask me if want kids now, seeing as I've been married 3 years & with my oh for 14 years
