Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

Happy birthday Salem! Sorry to hear about AF, as well as your friend Sad
Wow Hippy, lovely V-Day pressie!
I hadn't even thought about V-Day plans - doubt we'll be doing anything though; our social life took a bit of a hit after DS came along but I'm more of a homebody anyway Smile
DH came back from stag do last night; he's stuffed full of the cold and in bed early. Hope he recovers soon because I need him to be in good health and full of energy in time for FW! Wink

BellaMoon · 07/02/2017 22:44

thanks again @bakingmad83

i don't know why it has all of a sudden become so important to me to lose weight - such a strange reaction to a flashing smiley face haha. anyway, i believe i am healthy despite the pounds.

i'm sure the DH will have some novel ideas on how i can burn some extra calories now there's business to be getting on with Blush

xx

bakingmad83 · 07/02/2017 22:38

Bella from what I understand if your weight is problematic to pregnancy (either too low or high) you don't tend to ovulate, so if you're following a healthy lifestyle that's more important. I'm sure you can make changes that would allow weight loss when ttc if you're sensible - keeping to balanced diet and watching portions/treat foods rather than cutting out food groups or over-restricting yourself. Even if you conceive this cycle, you can prevent putting on too much weight in pregnancy by following similar principles - I used to see ladies with higher BMI during pregnancy when I worked in the NHS, so do have a bit of background with this.

Nice surprise for you with the opks then! Will keep my fingers crossed for you!

BellaMoon · 07/02/2017 22:25

@bakingmad83 thank you. there's so much info on these test kits. i was genuinely not expecting that flashing Smile today. DH convinced me to buy it as he can't deal with "if i'm ovulating then we could conceive on..." chat. genuinely concerned about my weight and wondering now if i should have prioritised losing that before stopping BC. arrrghhhh the conundrum! Confused

bakingmad83 · 07/02/2017 22:19

Welcome Bella, I don't know anything about opks, but that would be great if you're fertile the first month off bc. Good luck!

bakingmad83 · 07/02/2017 22:15

Sorry to hear you have thrush Phase, hope it clears up soon.

Good to know that your test results came back normal MamaBird, hope you get your BFP very soon

Rose I didn't know about the 2nd surge either, that's interesting to know, wondering if that's partly why I'm getting longer cycles at the mo, as always on the go with a little one, up in the night and still feeding could be a type of stress?

Charley ages since I've had a nice relaxing soak, think I'll try to get one myself this week :) You'll be enjoying one soon in your new bathroom Moo

Happy birthday Salem, sorry you've got AF now, was really hoping your spotting meant a bfp, but here's to the next cycle!

Lovely early Valentine's present Hippychic! We don't really bother if I'm honest on the day, just tend to do something nice when the mood takes us.

Thanks for the suggestion for allergies Hippychic. Tbh though with cow's milk protein allergy in young children, it's rare they can tolerate the milk from goats/sheep/buffalo either, as the proteins are so similar and trigger the same immune response. DS projectile vomits and has nappies full of watery poop when he has anything other than highly processed milk (like cake/biscuits made with butter) so just erring on the side of caution with him at the mo. 90% outgrow cow's milk protein allergy by the time they're 5, so hopefully he'll be one of them :)

It was my messy play group today - fairy tales theme :) I've had a poor turnout in recent months and was wondering if I should call it a day, as wasn't covering my costs. But today I had enough little ones there, so hopefully can keep going :)

I've been typing this in a new tab so I can look back at previous posts, so hoping I haven't missed anyone - apologies if I have!

BellaMoon · 07/02/2017 22:13

Hi all - send y'all BFP vibes as i see many of you are due to POAS Smile

i'm new to MN and new to TTC

I'm 36, DH 37

First month off BC so not sure if even had a cycle or if it was a withdrawal bleed. using clear blue ovulation test kit with smiley faces. if it was AF, i'm CD11 of god knows what cycle length (pre BC i was around 28days). iv had a flashing smiley face this morn and evening (only bought the test kit yesterday).

DH is staying how "text book" this timing is however i just can't get my head around the fact Iv been on BC 20+yrs, I'm overweight (but relatively healthy) so can i really be fertile/ovulating within 1st month off BC? i had trained myself to believe it would take ages.... giving myself time to lose weight ideally xx

Roseandbee · 07/02/2017 21:56

Happy Birthday Salem! Sorry about about AF though:-/

Ill either be celebrating valentines with AF or BFP, I think AF I'd like to go out, BFP id like to stay in. I'll be getting one of those dine in offers i think, I get so bored of my own cooking.

Moo hope your bathroom turns out lovely. I redid my bathroom in my old house and it was so nice to have everything how I wanted. I went for a double sink and a bath tap I could easily operate with my feet! Lol

Thanks for the message dolly!

Charley2016 · 07/02/2017 21:14

Oh Salem I'm so sorry Hun! Make sure you have a second birthday at the weekend full of booze and other stuff you can't have when upduffed! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that it disappears tomorrow Flowers

sarahboro1 · 07/02/2017 21:03

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 07/02/2017 20:59

Thank you lovely ladies for your kind birthday wishes. How sweet of you to remember Hippy.
I'm kind of hoping AF is one of those where you have an AF but you're still upduffed?! Pffffft clutching at straws here!!!

Has anyone tried the Sperm to Egg plan?

Dollydaydream2829 · 07/02/2017 20:43

Great Sarah! Love having cycle buddies. Along with Moo & Salem, we're all similar CDs! Keep each other going until next month where we'll join the antenatal chats! GrinGrin

sarahboro1 · 07/02/2017 20:37

And Rose...step away from the peas!! 😂 Xx

sarahboro1 · 07/02/2017 20:36

Salem happy birthday 🎉 🎂🎁🎈 so sorry for your unwanted visitor. Spoil yourself for a week then your fw will be here before you know it.

Hold out charley and hippy you can do this!!! Xx

Dollydaydream2829 · 07/02/2017 20:10

Sorry to all you lovely ladies who have just had their monthly unwanted visitor! It's so frustrating and upsetting.
Buuuuut, it just means we're all one step closer. I'm currently CD3 - AF is starting to tail off and never return for the next 9 months.... Hopefully!
I came across this beautiful message on the Internet yesterday and felt it was very appropriate for our group.
Good luck to the ladies who's BFPs are still within grasp this month!

My oh has got v day in early and sent 30 red roses to my work so I'm guessing just a card for me next week :))
Fx your not Charley - definitely wait it out til friday - those frer's are pricey beasts ... you seem in good spirits ... I am too ... I'm too scared to test if the truth be told ... i don't think it is will power tbh :))

Salem - i thought it was your birthday today - i did say happy birthday earlier ... so so sorry that the witch came to your birthday party uninvited ... FlowersCakeWine. You moan away - you're allowed today ....
Really really really sorry to hear about your friend too - Flowers for her. I will pray for her tonight xxx

Hello Everyone.

Mother Nature is so wonderful, gifting me with AF on my birthday! Thanks, AF Sad.

Feeling pissed off that my lovely day has been spoiled by AF. Sorry to whinge everyone. I know this has only been Cycle 3 but why hasn't it happened yet?! Someone I know has just started bleeding heavily when pg (14 weeks) which has also made me feel a bit sad.

Sending postive vibes to everyone else and sorry for a moan xx

Charley2016 · 07/02/2017 19:02

Was really nice to just chill out and have a bath Smile I'm CD27 tomorrow and I'm going to try my hardest not to test because I think if it's bfn on a FRER at 12dpo I'm pretty much definitely out! And if I am I'd be as well just wait until Friday for AF to show. I don't have much of anything today other than still having sore nipples. I always get a really bad back before AF so if that shows soon I will know! I'm on constant knicker watch too and CM watch as I normally notice it darker the morning AF comes.

Valentines a bit out for us really... he's got work all day and I'm in a seminar from 8am-7pm! Also trying to not drink the rest of the month so..... maybe just do a nice dinner and a duvet day on the Sunday or something instead. Do you have special plans?

Moo31 · 07/02/2017 18:58

Rose - that's interesting and useful. My cycles are averaging around 31 days and haven't been any less than 30 (I don't think - need to check my notes!) since I came off the pill. So I'm going to do an extra few opk this month and see if I'm a second surger! Thanks for that.

We're getting a new bathroom in at the minute so very jealous of everyone's bubble baths - enjoy! :)

My oh jokes that I don't do v-day as apparently I told him this our 1st year together! But in reality I always cook us a nice meal (I might cheat and visit m&s this year) and of course I'll be having a glass of wine! He gets a card and I get flowers and we'll have a romantic night in! Hope everyone has something nice and romantic planned Flowers

Hippychic79 · 07/02/2017 18:28

On a lighter non pg note ... are we all ready for Valentine's Day?
Xxx

Hippychic79 · 07/02/2017 18:26

Thank you for clarifying Rose - very much appreciated.

I just feel that as a society we've got used to having things instantly and this doesn't help when you're impatient and tTC ... even the 2ww can feel like forever! I know sometimes that it feels like a long road but it's important we don't stress too much about length of time - as Rose had so rightly pointed out ... stress can affect ovulation and none of us be wanting that :))

Hiya Charley ... hhhhmmm a lovely bubbly bath ... you pamper yourself Hun :)) and good luck staying away from the frer ... mine is yelling at me as I type ... pee on me pee on me .... cd25 tomorrow and knicker watch has already started ... of course I've googled (again) early pg signs and of course convinced myself that I have 95% of them .... even though bloated and peeing too much is clearly down to drinking almost 2litres of water, a sniffley nose is due to the cold weather and twinges down below could be either or really .... :))))

Xxx

Lol hi Charley I was also in the bath, just got out now. there's something exciting about just buying the tests though lately I've got all mine online not as much fun, got a mega pack of the internet cheapies, 2 FRER & a Tesco test that I'd forgot about. I'm excited to use my FRER I rarely use expensive tests, maybe spending the extra money will make me pregnant Hmm

Charley2016 · 07/02/2017 17:56

Hi ladies, how's everyone doing today? I'm just home from work, popped in to boots and bought lots of new bubble bath and creams to have a nice relax! So I'm currently feeling nice and chilled out in a bubble bath Smile although of course while I was in boots..... Confused don't know why I waste money haha! Determined to wait until Friday now and not waste the tests. Hope everyone else has managed to hold out x
