Ok so I am bravely attempting to set up a new thread for anyone tTC.
Plug in your stats ...
Share the highs of your journey
Limit the lows - yes it's a challenging time but being negative gets you down.
I'm thinking positivity breeds positivity and positive thinking gets positive results -
It may take some of us a little longer than others ... but does that matter? I think not.

New rules - instead of saying af due ... we say bfp due ...

So here goes ... my stats
Age 38
Cycle 3
Bfp due 14/02

Well looks like we're already doing it this cycle without knowing!! Dtd cd8 and cd10 so far so if we do cd12, 14 (which will be my bday!!) 16, 18, do you think that would be ok?? Xx

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 12/02/2017 18:09

Doesn't it all just make you wonder how people get pregnant "accidentally" or "without trying"!!!!

I asked my Mum and she just said it 'happened'!!!!!! It's not bloody 'just happened' for us ladies on here (although it will!!!).

Do you ladies think I'll be ok to have a few glasses of bubbly next Friday to celebrate my week off or is that frowned upon? I haven't had a drink since NYE xxx

Charley2016 · 12/02/2017 17:44

I've tried a different approach each cycle. First two we did every 2 days, 3rd was a bit sporadic as I was away a bit and last month was every day for 5days before ovulation. However, with me being away I just looked back and realised the last 3 months we've only managed up until the day before ovulation. Think I'll make sure we go up until a few days after this month!

glitteryvibes · 12/02/2017 17:43

Hi, I joined early on and then disappeared a while as things got busy. 27,ttc#1, cycle 2, cd 17 of 26 day cycles so bfp due 22nd feb. Fx for everyone this cycle is the cycle!!!

Hippychic79 · 12/02/2017 17:39

Facking hell ... 4 times last cycle ... wow I've dtd 4 potential conceivable times across 4 cycles ... if we needed more than one sperm I'd be in trouble lol Wink xxx

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 12/02/2017 17:09

Just as Anna described above. I wonder how far DH and I will get - we've only managed it 4x last FW!!!

mrsbarnettsbaby · 12/02/2017 17:08

Salem - I prob could test now but I hate seeing bfn and I had a 65 day cycle in October so waiting til I get past that number.
We kind of did smep as we were both offf work for 3 weeks over Christmas we dtd every day. Now back to Fri/sat/Sun as he works away during week. (We keep trying in af's absence!) My last af was 13/12 so living in hope I conceived over Christmas.
I'm a November baby so that would be cool. Dp a Dec baby and hates it. Would rather not have a Christmas baby.
FX for us all.

sarahboro1 · 12/02/2017 16:40

Sounds a bit tiring if you ask me!! 😴😂 xx

Anna2006 · 12/02/2017 16:17

I think SMEP is DTD every other day from like CD 8 until you get a positive OPK. Then DTD for 3 days in a row. Then miss a day and once more for luck!

I've tried it for two cycles. Didn't manage it quite last cycle as I had OPKs for 4 days in a row so confused the shit out of me. I might try again this cycle but no luck with that for me so far. Annoying!!

Hippychic79 · 12/02/2017 16:14

It's the sperm meets the egg plan ... it is supposed to be amazing -
Sadly I can't cuz oh isn't fully on board ... but good luck ladies xxx

sarahboro1 · 12/02/2017 16:08

What is it Salem?? Xx

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 12/02/2017 15:43

Sorry to hear that Bella.
So DH and I are going to be doing the SMEP this month, it has very high success rates - does anyone want to join me in this?!

Hippychic79 · 12/02/2017 14:47

Awwww Bella so sorry to hear your double sad news FlowersFlowersFlowers
Don't worry - I thought nothing if it.
From my experience all men can be selfish ... just need to find And keep one who's loving and kind the majority of the time I guess.
Xxx

BellaMoon · 12/02/2017 13:31

@hippy glad you've made up! sorry for drawing negative comparisons - i just felt such a connection to his strop with my ex - sorry again!

I'm having such a shitty morning - friends 11wk old baby has been hospitalised with terrible infection and my poor wee auntie passed away in the night (expected but noneless sad)

DH has reminded me the rugby is on at 3 about 5 times - i couldn't give a flying fcuk about the rugby but guess that's his way of saying he won't be going visiting with me... he has many lovely qualities but he's not the best in social situations where there's worry/sadness. he can bloody well watch the bloody rugby and ill go visiting my bloody self (ex. coming to mind again)Angry

Hippychic79 · 12/02/2017 13:20

Sarah - Aunt Flo would be magical if she abandoned us all for 9 months .... failing that she's an arse xxx

OP posts:
Hippychic79 · 12/02/2017 13:18

Thanks ladies .... we've made up now already ... shouldn't have ranted about it on the thread sorry. Yeah he's 42 in June ... but he looks and acts young and I like it ... im the same ... 38 and act and look younger (act younger than I look obviously :))) lol

Wow Salem - your dh is a high flyer ... I love LA ... only went for two days though ... fx this is your cycle mate xxx

Anna ... I'm praying for a whole host of November tots from this thread xxx

Come on ladies .... we got this xxx

OP posts:
sarahboro1 · 12/02/2017 13:12

lol Salem no there is nothing magical about Aunt Flo!!! Apart from she turns up when she fancies half the time!! Xx

Anna2006 · 12/02/2017 12:43

Oh I'm glad Florence is just as magical as Rome! And yes Hippy we certainly could name her Florence if it was a girl haha.
I had a blighted ovum with my mc and didn't find out until 13 weeks. So wasn't anything my body couldn't do,was just a fluke of bad luck so I'm sure next time we shall be fine. Just need to get that BFP!! Come on March! I'd be quite happy with a November baby. I'm a November baby 😊

Men always choose arguments at the wrong times don't they. Don't they know we're hormonal!

SalemTheTeenageWitch · 12/02/2017 12:35

Sorry to hear about your argument with DP Hippy. I would just go alone and leave him to stew, see how he feels when you get back. And if he doesn't apologise, give him hell!
(Just realised I'be xposted with Sarah!! Great minds!)
Sarah I thought you'd said Aunt Flo was just as magical as Rome!!!! Definitely NOT lol!!!

Well ladies DH is off to LA for a month (his office is there) in March and it coincides with FW!!!!!!!!!! So lots of pressure to get upduffed this month!

BellaMoon · 12/02/2017 12:30

@hippy i hope you don't mind my observation but i see loads of similarities between your DP and my ex partner. he seems the peter pan type, things have to be his way (or your way if you plant the seed and let it grow into his way), he's not on board with TTC but happy to have unprotected sex, you're AF but his moods take priority... feel like i just wanna give you a big hug as i lived with ex for 8 years - he never changed and his behaviour got worse hence why ex! did you say he was 42? men are sooooooo infuriating *making you a cyber coffee with the biggest piece of triple choc cake

sarahboro1 · 12/02/2017 12:18

Ooo what's made him so grumpy?? If I were you I'd go and see your nieces on your own and let him stew at home on his own. He'll come round, must be his hormones!!

I'm good thank you, getting some practice in for my fertile week 😉 Cd10 today so I'll start opk testing tomorrow. Xx

Hippychic79 · 12/02/2017 12:07

Good morning Sarah. Hope your ok? I was great until 5 mins ago when dp decided to pick an argument and storm upstairs in a strop ... it's our only day off together in the next few weeks and he decides to act like a twat! I love him very much but he can just be so selfish sometimes ... his family aren't from round here and a few wks ago I put them up for the wk end which as you can imagine put me out me massively (tidying up and had to sleep at my folks to accomodate them all) .... i ask him to pop up and see my nieces for half hour and he doesn't want to go .... Aibu!??? Ffs grrrrrrr - don't need his shit on top of af xxx

OP posts:
sarahboro1 · 12/02/2017 11:59

Good morning ladies!! Hope you are all well and are better than this weather!!

Salem that's fabulous thank you!!! I can see you'll be the lady to keep us all on track!!

Anna Florence is just as magical as Rome!! I just adored it and I find Italy such a relaxing safe place to be. I'm very jealous!! Xx

Hippychic79 · 12/02/2017 11:00

Morning Charley - yes a November baby would be perfect timing fx you're right that Mother Nature is giving us all another month to get to know each other :)) xxx
Anna - Florence sounds lovely and just what you need. Without sounding out of turn I think you should take the positive from the mc - your body knows what it's doing, it just want quite ready for that bean ... I'm sure you've been taking folic acid long enough now ... so your body will be ready for the next bean to stick ... fx this a good month ... would you do a Victoria n David beckham and call her Florence if you have a girl :)) xxx
Rose - very proud of you for not poas and completely understand why you're being proactive ... still I don't think you need to worry ... I've got high hopes for you this cycle ... will you be our first grad? Please don't leave us if you are xxx
Salem - thank you very much for the list xxx
One more week and you have your much deserved week off ... hang in there. Xxx
Mrsb - you are a hero having such long cycle and refraining from buying a load of ic's and testing every day .... thank you for dtd for all of us that have af and who's partners refrain at this time (like mine) ... had a shag happy Saturday night planned until the witch reared her ugly head .... that said it's kind of ok cuz it means ovulation will also be around the wk end and for me that equals a higher chance of dtd whoooo hooo :))) xxx

Anna2006 · 12/02/2017 10:25

Yes we've been to Rome before so looking forward to doing a different part of Italy.

Fingers crossed it's nice and relaxing and it means it's our positive this month!
