Hello all! I've just made an appointment for my drug training session! It is all a little close timingwise because my clinic labs and theatres are closing for a deep clean for a fortnight in Feb, so I am ok if I get my next period on or after the 11th but not before, and I think it will probably arrive on the 9th or 10th... I am really anxious to get started on this element, and it is a bit frustrating, but there you go.

Pez it is so hard not to try to second guess every twinge, throb or moment of lightheadedness. Fingers crossed for a BFP.

So many people on this thread now - isn't it fantastic we've all found each other! Does that sound too cheesy? Sorry...

HopingForALittleOne · 25/01/2017 10:07

pez I feel a little like that to and I'm still at ovulation stage! I feel like my life is paused at moment

Pez82 · 25/01/2017 08:42

Same here... I awoke at 3:40 and then really struggled to sleep after that. That seems to be my routine these days. I'll have to be more relaxed next cycle as I do feel I've been putting my whole life on hold this month.

pickle162 · 25/01/2017 06:02

I'm the same-need to be up in half an hour, know in about an hr I'll be absolutely shattered if don't get a little more sleep. May just go run a bath instead-still feel bit rubbish and snotty :(

kwick · 25/01/2017 05:24

Wide awake!!! Have to be up at 6... going to try and schooze a little.
pickle you better now?

pickle162 · 24/01/2017 22:12

Well little miss kwick tested early last month and then the little line appeared nearer the otd. So there is still hope pez
Right I'm off to bed, to prob wake up in about 4hours then not sleep for 2 😫 Night all xx

Pez82 · 24/01/2017 21:55

Thank you witch, hoping and pickle. I do realise now that I tested too early (i can hear you shoes and kwick Grin) especially if the very weird sharp cramps I got yesterday morning (for literally 10 seconds) were due to implantation. Yes, I am reading too much into my symptoms but they were very weird cramps, right by the pubic bone... and painful too, I had to sit down

Sorry to hear the nasty cold is still here pickle
*
Kwick*, that's a good guess but I have nothing to do with what's going on in Spain Shock

pickle162 · 24/01/2017 21:37

Thanks xx wish I could have a duvet day but don't feel I can be off as we are so manically busy 😔Oh yeh have no plans for weekend so will be resting again then!
Thankfully tomorrow I've got a meeting from 11.30 so only 4 people to see first.

Totally looking forward to making new friends at baby groups and pre natal groups (if get a chance to go to those) looking forward to most of (except for having an awful cold whilst still having to look after a small person-I am sure the tv will become my best friend for such occasions bad mummy alert do I care needs must

HopingForALittleOne · 24/01/2017 21:20

Hope you feel better soon pickle x

witchmountain · 24/01/2017 20:20

You have my sympathy Pickle, I've had two colds this winter already, both of which lasted weeks in some form or another. I don't think toast is bad cold food, as long as you're getting lots of sleep and plenty to drink.

witchmountain · 24/01/2017 20:17

Think it depends what device you're using Ever, because it does bold immediately for me when I do the stars.

pickle162 · 24/01/2017 20:17

Happy birthday tygr 🎂🍾🎁

Yeh I was wondering what the big red company was to begin with but I barely know my own name at mo,still feel really poorly 😫Probably not help by me having toast for my dinner the last few nights

pez hope the BFN turns into a BFP....even with the FRERs 11 days or 12 is still really early.keeping my fingers crossed lovely

X

witchmountain · 24/01/2017 20:16

Hope that was a typo Stork, I'm hoping to make some friends!

Everhopeful76 · 24/01/2017 20:16

Ah yeah finally!! I was expecting to see it embolden upon actually sticking the stars in. Great stuff!! I don't feel like the dunce now

Everhopeful76 · 24/01/2017 20:15

Kwik has this worked?

StorkAhoy · 24/01/2017 20:01

Happy birthday tygr! Remember, manifestation and PMA, it's gonna be a year of awesome.

I wonder if my clinic do a group for single mums, wouldn't that be superb?!

Is anyone else looking forward to make no friends with other mummies?

kwick · 24/01/2017 19:12

Happy birthday tygr

I am still practicing and failing to be patient waiting to ovulate! I had some spotting on Sunday which I read does happen sometimes a day or two before you ovulate. I tend to ovulate cd13-15 and today only cd13 so I'm still in the space I would expect but I really thought might ovulate today because of spotting on Sunday. Darn it never mind I m just worrying in case I miss it - I'm peeing on sticks up to 6 times a day now Confused

Not sure how I'm going to cope with TWW pez my thoughts with you at the moment hoping BFN turns to BFP xx

tygr · 24/01/2017 18:09

Thanks guys. Currently sloping round Tesco feeling a bit sorry for myself. Hope it's a good year. For all of us.

witchmountain · 24/01/2017 17:54

Happy birthday Tygr, it could be a good year!

Welcome Paisley - nice we are getting even more international!

Pez fingers still crossed for you.

Ever sorry about your appointment, it sounds like you'd got all psyched up for it, so annoying when you have to go all through the emotions again.

My guess at big red brand was Argos!

Love the idea of a meet up. I think my clinic does a group for single mums too.

INeedNewShoes · 24/01/2017 17:19

Ooh I missed your post Tygr.

Star Star Happy Birthday! Star Star

Smile
Pez82 · 24/01/2017 17:16

How frustrating re appointment being cancelled ever Angry
ESB is in Denmark too, my donor is half danish half Swedish Wink

Slight abuse of smiley faces here...

INeedNewShoes · 24/01/2017 17:16

Paisley - I learned the hard way not to book flights until I got my positive OPK. All of my cycles were regular, ovulating on either CD15 or 16 until the cycle where I booked in advance a four-day trip to Copenhagen across my CD14–17, then I ovulated a week late Confused so I ended up having a city break with no fertility treatment and then going back a week later for IUI. It was a lovely example of Sod's Law!

I suppose it depends on availability of flights from Belgium. From my local airport (Luton) I had six flights a day to choose from all run by budget airlines, so even booking the day of travel or the day before travel my flights generally cost less than £100 return each time.

So my approach has generally been to wait until I get a positive OPK then drop everything to book flights.

For hotels, I abused Booking.com and for each month booked hotel rooms a couple of months in advance with free cancellation across my predicted CD14–17 and then cancelled each night once I knew I wouldn't need it. I actually feel quite bad about this; the hotels must have hated me for it! If you take this approach, you need to book each night as a separate booking so that you can cancel individual nights.

Which clinic are you using? If its anywhere near where my clinic is, I can recommend hotels, restaurants etc. Smile

Everhopeful76 · 24/01/2017 14:51

Thnks for the recommendation BelleH.

Caution - small world we both live in Northampton. Likewise what I ve said to Stork if you ever want to meet up just let me know. In terms of endometriosis symptoms, mine was severe abdominal pain (best way can describe is being thrown on thick gravel pavement and been dragged across - like a constant grazing or burning sensation) particularly around AF but in the lead up to surgery it was bad nearly all through month. I did have a very large cyst on my left ovary tho which twisted, so hopefully your case will be just that you have endo in name only, or if absolutely necessary adhesions but no pain . Have you had the ultra sound to see where it might be lurking? I know that no all cysts are picked up by internal scan, some people for instance have it lurking behind the pelvic cavity so wouldn't be seen, pouch of douglas is a common place, not that I know quite where that is. Hopefully for you its just a case of ruling it out so you know it wont have an impact on fertility. I have quite a few friends that have endo, and they are varied in their response to symptoms from nothing causing any bother to agonising pain. Some people describe weakness, pins or needles or pain in the tops of thighs, heavy periods, pain during intercourse . Hopefully if you do have it, they can sort out any cyst quickly and then you ll be getting pregnant so it will put it in dormancy. That certainly has worked for me. PM me though if you want to ask more specific questions, quite happy to answer them. Also, who is your Consultant, because my former Obstetric Consultant is also one of the endo specialists at Northampton General, Mr Von Widekind.

Stork - thanks. Must contact my previous embryologists about if they still use Cryos. I really want to try for a full sibling for Mabel, but I guess if they are not screening for Zika, what else might they not be screening for? The relaxed attitude on family numbers is a bit worrying too, but I would probably risk it if my clinic still uses them just because I'm fixated on wanting a baby who might look like my beloved daughter. I guess if clinic don't, then I might find it tricky to find both a clinic who use Cryos and 1 that will treat low ovarian reserve!! Better get on the case with that. Realising that there are definitely at least 3 of us in close proximity it might be nice to meet as a little local support group. No pressure tho, maybe send a pm soon. I would love to do a mums and tots group tho in time with a bigger group too, when we have our babies. Positive thinking, it will happen.

Thanks Pickle for your thoughts - They do still have availability of my donor boy on the website, but must just contact them about reserving if my clinic do still use Cryos. If not, I ll have to look at ESB, is that also based in Denmark?

Was supposed to be seeing my Consultant today to discuss what happened and future plans and he went and cancelled, so upset, and was also so nervous so have got to do the same again next Thursday now. Also wanted to pick his brains about recurrence of endo as well, this guy could well be my regular go to Dr for both issues.
