I was meant to be 6weeks no bath after each leg op so 18weeks in total . Found ingenious ways of using cling film and laying in the bath sideways so didn't get wet....can't really keep womble from getting wet in a bath 😂Doh!

I have learnt a lot in last couple of weeks about preg slots and donoreserve (another 💩Name for it!
Hoping there are no other hidden costs for any of us 😖

pez I envy you. I'll be on the progesterone and I hate it. Not only for the pregnancy side effects but also because it gives me pseudo gout and severe pain in my foot. Worth it though. But still wish I didn't have to take it. Patiently waiting for my bladder to fill and concentrate. Very early morning so looking forward to getting home and hanging with the dogs.

Aw Cherry; what year do you teach? My brothers girlfriend is currently training to be a teacher at uni. She's in her final year on her last placement. She's doing primary teaching; she loves it!

cherry I've had similar but I have to pay £541 per transfer but that includes 3years storage and if use within 1st year then get back £300 back (I think, I can't remember) At my clinic you only pay for this per transfer so if I did one each month then I'd have to pay each time or if brought batch would only pay once.
So just brought 6 straws and including VAT, transfer costs, 6months pregnancy slot- it was £2736 to that sperm bank and then will have to pay the £540 to my clinic- so yeh hadn't prepared for this either

Pregnancy slot is where u can use that donor for 6months without it going to someone else to use so rather than doing 2 tries and then they say oh wait sorry now he's had 10families u have to find someone else they hold it for u until either pregnant or given up on that donor

I now have -£200 once the transfer has gone through so need to save for next 3months so can actually afford to have any iui's 😔

Cherry, I find it odd the clinic charges you to store the magic potion while you're undergoing treatment with them. Definitely worth checking. I've also paid a pregnancy slot with ESB but as I've ordered 3 vials the unit cost was roughly around £600 I think (I only paid 100€ for shipping).
Unfortunately fertility clinics are money making businesses! Yesterday they said, let's do a blood test to find out whether you're surging and that alone cost me an additional £105!!! And they also wanted me to buy the trigger shot 'just in case' but I knew I wouldn't need it so said no.

Kwick, I didn't know about cayenne pepper. I'm off to my spice rack to see if I have any!!

And yes Caution, I'm glad I'm not on the pessaries, especially as it means I can symptom spot for real this month ahahah. Hope the spasmonal helps and you can get a good night sleep.

European Sperm Bank ask you to buy a pregnancy slot if you live in the UK as the UK limits how many families the donor can be used with. It is transferred if there is no pregnancy with the donor so at least I won't have to keep paying that but it was roughly £500.

I wish you better Caution. I only have mild period pain but had it during class today (I'm a teacher) and got a little grumpy with the children.

Kwick & Pez - Haven't resorted to yet but I'm so close. I rang my drs and demanded my dr rang me back as they're closed tomorrow and he did at 5:50pm. He's given me some meds called Spasmonal - apparently they're specifically for relaxing the intestines (they're good for IBS - pickle, they may be worth a try?) and uterus. Anybody heard of them before? They seem to have taken the edge off but haven't taken away the sharp pains in my right side. If only I knew what they were...

Thanks for all the people listening to me moan. I started my period today. I looked up home remedies last night and drank a glass of milk with cinammon. Not sure if that's why as more likely just coincidence!

I got a bill through from my fertility clinic today. £300 to store the donor sperm. Looks like this will be each month. They never mentioned this before and I hadn't factored this into my calculations. Does anyone else have this?
I'm going up for my beginning cycle scan tomorrow so will question it then. I just feel that they keep dumping surprise bills on me, rather than breaking it down clearly at the beginning.
The clinic told me £1,000 for the donor sperm to buy but it was nearer £1,800 after the shipping and pregnancy slot. I'm starting to think that CREATE may have been the better choice (I'm with Harley Street Fertility Clinic).

I hope so too kwick! Although it's unlikely I've ovulated yet, I'm only about 24h post surge.
It's funny how the second time it feels like 'been there done that'

All done All went well so I'm now in my TWW#2. I can't be in London for the blood test on OTD so I'm booked for the day after. So an extra long TWW!!! I'm not on the progesterone this month (yay!) so I'll find out before anyway as AF is never late (and also any symptom will be real). The doctor had another chat with me re triplets, I guess it's procedure...

caution I'm sorry to hear that. :(. I'm doing medicated, but barely. 2.5 mg of letrazole days 3-7. Any more and my follicles go wild and I over stimulate. Last time it was the worst pain I've ever had. I'm super paranoid about it now. I'm so tired though. Molly is 13 weeks and still not sleeping through the night. I tested this morning, negative surge. Just tested again now but used the same stick. Idiot. Lol. Ah well, pretty sure I'll surge tomorrow or the next day. I'll just keep testing. Hate this part, it's the most stressful for me.

Scan went fine. 20 and 14 on the left, 18 on the right. Dr seems to think I'll be surging any minute, but I think I'm still a day or 2 away based on what my body is doing. Time to start peeing on sticks!

Char that sounds really hard. You might be surprised how counselling can help - probably more than one session. It's great that he's wanting to try and get over the feelings. With that as a starting point I think you have a reasonable chance
